Now he was completely under a spell that the female was likely not even trying to cast. Every kiss and each caress had exempted him from reality into a paradise for however long their stamina would last. Fingers now tipped with the beginning of claws grazed along her backside once again before trailing up to her shoulder blades. Arms that dared not exert the potential force hidden within merely wrapped around Natasha as the hands continued their caresses. Magic that only love made hold any sway in a world which now seemed so consumed with fact. Yet their species proved that still something existed that did not quite fit in with that world.
Until she removed the eyepatch.
Shaken out of the living wet dream, he blinked at her now with both eyes exposed. Surprise consumed his expression in a genuine shock at not only Natasha's actions but her words. Frozen as his mind tried to recover and staring up with confusion. Only one eye was complete of course, as the wound brought on by silver still required time to completely heal. Nothing could be seen from it other than perhaps a vague distinguishing between light and dark. Constant care had kept from becoming a puss-filled eyesore of infection. Yet it was still certainly no pretty sight to behold as it revealed how disgusting regeneration could appear if not done quickly or below the skin and out of sight.
Jason closed the injured eye off from view.
". . .Natasha. . ."
Kisses tried to blind him to the fact that mistake from the past was still not forgotten by his body. Yet what he saw with his good eye showed someone who accepted who he was at this very moment. Someone who did not still live in the past and hold him accountable for what happened to their former leader. Natasha wasn't lying to him, not right now. . . it just didn't seem possible. Kiss by kiss his mate transported him away again from his pain, not to mention the sensations below. After all he WAS still inside her and could feel those smooth walls gripping at his length and pulled him out of what could have turned into a self-pity party just then.
". . . I love you."
Jason's pace picked up, as if at least some of the weight bearing down on his shoulders had been removed. Or shared with another.
