The Chief of Police said, a slight disappointment tone in her voice. "What was it for this time, trespassing?"

"Trespassing and breaking and entering, Lin," The young man replied, a smug smile on his face. She was standing behind him, gazing out the small window. "So, you gonna let me off this time, or am I gonna have to cause more property damage? 'Cause I'm fine with both." He brushed a stray hair out of his eyes, preparing to slip through the window and jump out if need be.

Captain Bei Fong sighed, then said, "I'll let you off. Get up. I have to drive you back to your house to set an example, you know the drill." She led Tsuakasa to a satomobile parked in front of the station, and he got in the passenger side, putting his feet on the dashboard in a flagrant way.

The captain drove down the street, trying to ignore the young deviant. Finally, she couldn’t stand the silence anymore, and said, “So, how’s your father been?”

Tsukasa’s jaw became set. His father was a subject he didn’t like talking about. While he was going to let her drive him back to his house, but upon the mention of his only living family member, he decides differently.

Turning sideways, he shoots fire from his feet, blowing off the door. Jumping out, he lands into a group of people walking down the sidewalk. Bei Fong’s satomobile continues on, and Tsukasa calls after her, “Have a nice day, Captain. You might want to fix that, it’s very unsightly.”

He laughs and begins walking back to his house. Once there, he let himself in.

His father was standing behind the door, as if he was going out. “Oh, you’re back.” He greets him, emotionless. “I tried cooking something, but nearly burnt the house down, so you’re on your own, kid.” Tsukasa’s father was widely different than he: his father was straight Northern Water Tribe, while his mother was pure Fire Nation, and Tsukasa got his mother’s father’s name and her looks.

“Whatever,” Tsukasa said, rolling his eyes. It was a mistake.

“What was that?” Quickly, Tsukasa’s father had pinned him to the wall, one hand on his head the other gripping his hand against it.

“Get. Off. Of. Me.” Tsukasa said, pushing against his father. When he didn’t budge, Tsukasa forced his hands to become flame, burning his father. Not enough to cause serious damage, but enough to remind him not to ever touch him.

His father left, cradling the spots where he got burned, murmuring curse words against him and his mother.

  2. "One-two-three, one-two-three, One-two-three" Tetsu continue to say in his mind. The crowed was yelling in sheer entertainment of the event, but the noise didint distract tetsu from the match. "KISA IS ON THE THIRD RING!" yelled the announcer over the intercom. This ment that tetsu was the only member in the team in the first ring. This was very difficult to dodge all three benders at once.

"One(dodge)-two(attack)-three(Dodge)" One team member from the opposite team got a face full rock and was thrown out the third ring. Tetsu ignored the announcer but the other team was distracted by him, that was a mistake. Each member was hit on there arms to throw them off balance and hit in the gut to throw them back. The whole team was defeated.

The announcer screamed in pure excitement but tetsu was still in his fighting mood and did not look happy. Kisa walked up to tetsu and put her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, its alright we won this match, time to relax tetsu." Tetsu looked at his partner and started to calm down. "Yea thanks, lets go celebrate."

Kisa was the water bender of the group and Fira was the fire bender of the group. Fira dosent talk much but he will speak once and awhile. In the locker room Fira quietly said "You cheated again.." Tetsu looked at him. "Im sorry, i didint want you to get hurt when you fell back...." Fira nodded in appreciation of him. Tetsu knew he cheated a bit when he used his water to soften the floor when his team mates fall.

"So, tetsu....you should really tell every one you can bend each element....we think your the avatar...." Fira nodded again with kisa's statement. Tetsu looked down and said "I feel like im not the avatar.....like....theres more than one...."

  3. Sighing, Tsukasa turned on the radio, hoping that he hasn't missed the tournament yet. Amazingly, it was still on, and with a shout of "KISA IS IN THE THIRD RING!" Tsukasa felt himself to be in the arena, watching his favorite team play. He listened to the last few seconds, cheering when they won.

Apparently, his cheering was too much for his neighbor, an old, crusty, grouch named Oyaji. The man kicked the thin wall, shouting, "Shut it, I'm sleeping!" over and over. Still kind of mad at his dad and at the Captain for bringing him up, Tsukasa kicked the wall back, forcing the floor on the other side of the wall to jump up a bit with his earthbending. He could hear the old man grumbling about "filthy earthbenders" but Tsukasa took no note of it.

Hearing a knock at the door, Tsukasa asked, "Who's there? If it's you Lin, I can tell you now, I'm not opening the door."

"Uh," said an old voice, even older than Oyaji, "We're with the Order of the White Lotus. We hear the Avatar lives here? Is your father around, child?"

"There's no one home!" Called Tsukasa, hoping they would go away. He wasn't ready for any sort of responsibility, even if it was saving the world. Besides, the notion of him being the Avatar was crazy. So what if he could make fire, throw around rocks, fly around, and make water bend to his will? It didn't mean anything. He came from a too poor family anyways, and he'd always believed the Avatar should come from a high class family.

"Please, child, open the door. We just want to talk." The voice persisted, annoying Tsukasa.

Knowing it was the only way to make the men leave, he sighed, and opened the door. "Look, I don't know who told you that, but I'm not the Avatar. I'm just a lone fire-air-water-earth-bender, nothing more. Now, if you don't get off my doorstep in five seconds, I'm calling Captain Beifong, and getting you arrested for harassment." He shut the door, sensing the men not leaving. He reopened it, and, lo and behold, the three men in white robes were still standing there. "Okay, so maybe I am. So what?" He paused a moment, thinking. "Who told you about me?"

"Captain Lin Beifong, child. She told us she suspected something was up with you when every time she brought you in, you'd always use another element to escape."

  4. Steps. No, not steps, running? Dammit, Faroh though to himself as he burst over the gap between two roofs. Looking behind him, they were still chasing, panting he jumped down into the streets, hoping to lose his pursuers in the crowds of the great Republican city. His bare feet stamping against the warm pavements, he already had multiple cuts on them from pieces of scattered glass on the ground. Pushing his way through, a group of young women as he ran, they exclaimed, surprised. Hearing his pursuers voices behind him, "Come here you freak" and "You don't belong here!" amongst other profanities as they hit into various obstacle. Didn't belong here? This city was founded by the Avatar, a place for Benders to congregate and live in peace, and what had it turned into?

He didn't have time to ponder upon these thoughts as a foot caught his, causing him to crash into the floor, before that happened though, with a swift flick of his wrists, his body was pushed back up, landing straight on his feet, he was surrounded. There was five of them, forming a circle around him. Fine, I guess there's no other way, he thought to himself, as he pulled his Oakwood staff off of his back, they just laughed as he did so.
The one from behind attacked first, lunging forward trying to catch him by surprise, though he was expecting this, he jumped, doing a back flip outwards, thrusting his hands forward sending a gush of air, throwing two of the men into a nearby wall. The remaining three were on him as quick as the unconscious two, one swinging at him with a rusty, lead pipe, he blocked the hit with his staff, in one motion swiping his staff down, into the man's legs, pushing him to the ground. He turned now, two left. Well, as he said that to himself one turned and fled, the other pulled out a knife, throwing it straight at him with a wide grin. Almost instinctively Faroh stamped his right foot into the ground, pulling up a column of rock and mud to intercept the incoming knife, then kicking it into the one remaining man.

What? He wasn't an earth bender. And what the hell was wrong with this city?

  5. The victory party was great, now the bad part came along. Tetsu lived alone, he was found at the door step of an orphanage when he was a baby. As far as he remembers he ran away from the orphanage and lived as a homeless cast away until he met Kisa. He met Kisa practicing in the park with other children. They where pretending to play the bender games and Tetsu tried to play with them back, they all shunned him except Kisa. They grew up together(Even if tetsu was homeless). One day they met Fira and together they each decided to join the bending games. They became big and tetsu wasn't homeless any more working as a celebrity.

Once he opened the door He found his home clean as he normally left it. Once he closed his door he was alone again, but when he sleeps he sometimes dreams of an adventure with others but doesn't know why. He wakes up to a knock on the door and checks who it is.

Men in white robes where standing in his front door at night. One walked up and said "Tetsu, we are with the white lotus. We wish for you to follow us" He didn't like how this sounded but tetsu had nothing to do but sleep and train.

  6. Sighing, Tsukasa gave into the old men, saying, "You old sacs better have a satomobile, 'cause there is no where you'd be caught dead in within a ten mile radius." Apparently, they did, but it was hidden. In a bad part of town like this, you had to hide any valuables. With the three old men sitting in the front, after declining his attempts at driving, Tsukasa had to sit in the back.

Despite his attempts of convincing them that he wasn't the Avatar, the old men wouldn't budge, insisting that he was. Muttering, "Jeez, now I know never to open my door to strangers ever again." and, "I should've called the police as soon as they knocked on the door." Tsukasa made plans on escaping, not unlike his escape from Captain Beifong earlier. Deciding against it, that he would humor the crazy old people who mysteriously showed up at his doorstep, Tsukasa stopped talking, and began wondering if it wasn't the White Lotus that was crazy, but rather himself.

His father wouldn't care, that was for sure. If anything, he'd turn Tsuakasa's status as the Avatar into some traveling show. Nope, he thought, I am not going to let my father know about this...

  7. Faroh pushed through the crowd which had surrounded him as he had fought the men which had chased him, some clapping for him and others jeering, shouting various words of abuse, both because he could bend and because of the mess that had been made in the square. He decided to take a less obvious route down a rather damp smelling alley, incase any type of police or law-enforcement figures tried to contact him, he didn't need that, it was at that moment he came across a rather quaint, little building with a sign which read "Inn" as he entered the building his senses where sent into overload, pungent smells and beautiful colours. He made his way over to the owner and purchased a room on the ground floor.

He spent the rest of the day in this room, fairly small, one single bed, a separate wash room, and some flowers in a vase on a small table, no way did this room live up to the expectations set by the entrance, but it would do. It was when he was about to fall asleep when he heard a sharp rap on the door, sitting up he contemplated hiding, though not knowing who it was he opened the door.

Standing there was a fairly old looking man, in an elegant, white robe, before he had a chance to say anything the man said "I'm with the White Lotus, I heard about the ruck-us you made earlier, I need you to come with me"
And with that, a man who must've snuck in through the back window hit him in the back of the head with a blunt object, the last thing he saw before becoming unconscious was the smile on the old man's face, as he looked down upon him.

  8. "Sir," said Lieutenant Tastu, "We've found the Airbender, and are about to intercept the Firebender and the Earthbender. All three are possible Avatar, if not all of them. We still have yet to find the Waterbender. We have intercepted the Airbender. Should we do the same for the other two?"

    "Yes."
Came the reply, its speaker not bothering to turn around in his chair. "I want them in this room on those chairs in exactly one hour." He gestured towards the four chairs bolted to the floor that sat in front of his desk. Tatsu didn't envy the suspected Avatar that would soon be sitting there, even if it was for an equal world where there wasn't any poverty or poor people, where everyone was equal.

"Yes, Chairman." The lieutenant said as he backed out, not sure if he had been dismissed yet.

The sound of police sirens filled Tsukasa's ears, breaking him from his thoughts. He heard the familiar voice amplifier, and soon expected to hear Captain Beifong's
lieutenant say, "Tsukasa Nakashima, you're under arrest. Please extricate yourself from the satomobile." Except, it wasn't Lin's lieutenant who said it, neither any voice Tsukasa recognized. The old men stopped the satomobile, and one said, "You'd better go, to prevent further troubles."

Leaving the satomobile, he stood there, waiting for the metalbending cops to take him in, and for Lin to let him go in about an hour. But that didn't happen. What did was this: some unfamiliar man dressed in clothing that was certainly not the police uniforms put handcuffs on Tsukasa, and a ladder led up into the zeppelin. The man gripped Tsukasa's collar, and he was just barely kept from falling by his strong grip.

Once inside the zeppelin, the man led him by his elbow into the back of the flying ship, past more unfamiliar men in weird uniforms. In the back was a locked room, and after unlocking it, it was revealed to be an office of some sort, with chairs fastened on the floor and a desk cluttered with papers and paperweights.

Forced to sit on one of the chairs, the man then moved his shackles to the chair's armrests, preventing movement and bending. A giant chair sat behind the desk, so massive Tsukasa couldn't see if anyone lay behind it. Outraged at his apparent kidnapping, he struggled against his binds, shouted obscenities at the chair, and when he was too tired to do either, he slumped in his chair, dejected. He looked up when he heard the door behind him open.

  9. Faroh was not completely unconscious, though he kept his eyes closed as to not draw attention from his captors, he was lifted up, assuming by the larger man due to the fact the smaller man could probably not lift him, the man slung Faroh over his shoulder as the exited the inn. He was then placed in the boot of some kind of transportation, though his hands being handcuffed behind his back before they placed him in it, to prevent him from bending. Whoever these people were, Faroh knew that had high authority in the City, because the had not been stopped whilst carrying him out of the inn, which is what he assumed would happen. After roughly an hour of driving, his back was starting to get sore, from all the bumping.

Then the car stopped, doors were flung open, and he was dragged out of the boot, being blindfolded and roughly directed into a building, he heard another door swing open and his blindfold was removed, it was a rather large room with 3 or 4 chairs in the middle, he couldn't tell due to his angle, as he was led over to a chair and placed in it his arms and legs were shackled to it, there was someone else in the room, in another chair, showing much more resistance than him, shouting various obscenities at the men who had brought him in. Faroh closed his eyes and placed his head on the back of the chair, not knowing what to do.

  10. Really, the day was normal for Tallulah. In other words, it was completely out of whack. She was still fairly new to the Republican City, and was renting a small one-star motel room since she had nowhere else to go. She spent her time wandering, exploring her new-found home, and searching around for an Earth-Bending teacher… that didn’t charge money. She had barely enough to last her one week of her cheap motel rent, so she had none to spare to pay for a teacher. Her food had consisted of guiltily stolen items, and she was munching down one of the stolen apples as she walked down the street, belting out the newest song by the Polar Penguinbears and rubbing some dirt off her clothing, which she had been wearing since she got to the city. Her motel didn’t have a place to wash it, so she had been scrubbing them whenever she took a bath.</SPAN>

She walked into someone, some old guy with a stern expression. “Oh sorry!”</SPAN>

He merely frowned, looking her over. She was used to this, since nobody seemed to wear Water Tribe clothing. “Miss Minami?”</SPAN>

Tallulah blinked in surprise. How did this stranger know who she was? Was he a cop? After her for the stolen food? He continued on. “You’re coming with us.”</SPAN>

She certainly wasn’t! In fact, Tallulah sprinted the opposite direction, with the stranger hot on her heels. She didn't make it far though, before someone else intercepted her. Desperatly, she pushed him with a burst of air, freeing herself. She shot fire at them, trying to get away. The earthsuddenly rose in front of her, creating a wall. She tried desperatly to earthbendit down, to no avail.

The men all cornered her, and she tried shooting fire and air at them, and even frozeone in place with the small amount of water she carried. But the earthbender trapped her, and the next thing she knew, she had a bag over her head beforeshe was knocked out and all went black.

  11. Still very much angry, and slightly scared, though he'd never tell anyone, Tsukasa began using his bending, shooting all manner of fire, lightning, water, and air, but the material of the hovercraft seemed to absorb it, not even making a dent. Turning the water molecules in the air to a liquid, all he managed to do was douse himself, and not be able to produce a flame.

Cursing, he looked at the other guy who'd gotten sucked into this madhouse. He seemed to have already given up, his eyes closed. Shaking his head in an attempt to dry his hair, his knitted hat fell off his head, and another volley of curses rang out. It was the only thing he had from his mother, before she died.

Taking a deep breath, he forced-calm said to whoever was in the chair behind the desk, "Look, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I have friends in powerful places," a lie, "and I can probably get you some compensation for letting me go." Another lie. When he didn't get a response, he sighed, then turned his head to the other captive. "So," he said, "you're in this mess, too? I'm Tsukasa."

  12. Kyo wasn't very happy with her instructor. Just cause she did advance techniques while he was teaching beginner. Of coarse she had a natural talent. But she shouldn't have to deal with this. She immediately dug herself into the earth, and with a quick flick of her. Tankle made quicksand around the instructor. Leaving him was no big. Deal. Neither was leaving the city. She didn't care. She knew she needed to be somewhere. But she didn't know where.

  13. Eventually, Kyo stumbled upon an underground arena, where Benders were fighting. She was thinking of joining, but thought against it. She had little money to wager. Some Guy popped up behind her and tried taking her purse. Instinct arose. She immediately flicked her ankle down and as if pushing a door open, pressed forward, making a blockade in front of the thief.

  14. After Kyo made the barrier, she flicked one hand back towards her. Normally, this would result in the barrier pulling back and mocking the Guy out. Instead, a deadly blow of flames hit the Guy, knocking him out. She wasn't astonished. But all she did was grabbed her purse and ran.

She ended up bumping into a Guy. She didn't recognize him, but he recognized her. In a flash the man had a bag over her head and she blacked out. When she woke, she was surrounded byfew people. Maybe three. But one was shooting fire and lighting. She was frightened. Though she sat in the corner. Hoping no one could see her.

  15. Looking past the other guy, still very much silent, Tsukasa saw a girl, and realized his curses and anger might've scared her. "Sorry." He muttered, looking away. "Just sort of, you know. Got angry. It's like, what right do they have to kidnap us like that?" Coughing sheepishly, he fades off, then says, "I'm...I'm Tsukasa. I'd offer to shake your hand, but I'm kind of tied up, if you know what I mean." He gestures to the handcuffs, trying to get the girl to crack a smile. "Now if only this joker in front of us would turn around in his chair and tell us what's going on!" He says, remembering where he was, and cursing. Then, looking at the girl, he again says, "Sorry."

  16. Kyo thought the Guy was just frustrated but nice. "I'm Kyo." She said, realizing she was tied up. "I'm an earthbender from ba-sing-se. Where are you from? Do you know why we're here?"

  17. "Firebender." Tsukasa replied, "although some care to argue that I'm the Avatar or some nonsense like that. I come from the worse part of Republic City. As for why we are here, I have no idea. I just thought I was getting picked up for something stupid, but who really knows?" He said, a light smile tugging at his lips. "Really, I'm sorry again, for the whole cursing."

  18. Kyo thought back to when she thought she bended fire. But that would be nonsense, there's only one avatar at a time, and he claims to be it. "But why would they lock you up? Why would they do that to me? I'm just from a poor family."

  19. "I don't know, I don't recognize the uniforms. At first, I thought it would be the police, but they clearly aren't." He raises his voice, enunciating the words so that whoever was sitting in the chair behind the desk would know that Tsukasa was talking to him. "I come from rags, too, but the White Lotus claims that I am the Avatar. Whatever. Just a bunch of crazy old guys." Tsukasa rolls his eyes.

  20. "I don't like it here" Kyo said on the verge of tears "it's too far from the earth. I wish I never ran away from home "she thought back to her instructor. She realized she had great talent, thought he was jealous. But maybe he knew something. She didn't bother with that thought and shrugged it off. "What should we do?"
