"Fire away?" she smiled "The wedding was good by the way Grace"
 
"Thanks," she said blandly. "I was wondering...he said he promised to 'get to know you better'? He also called you Rebby."
 
She bit her lip "We are friends as well as him being my brother in law"
 
She nodded, not buying it. "Are you sure that's it?"
 
"Yeah" she looked down "Nothing has ever happened between me and Joe"
 
"Joe told me about your kiss last summer," she said, a bit hurt. "Why would you lie?"
 
"He....he told you?" Her face sank "what did he tell you?"
 
She scowled. "Just that you two kissed. Is there more?"
 
She nodded to the sofa, remaining standing by the stairs.
 
She sat down "if he's already told you" she bit her lip "it's best to be blunt. We had sėx twice"
 
Her face turned red. "I don't believe it," she whispered hoarsely.
 
She looked down and said meekly "I'm sorry, Grace"
 
"No," she snapped. "Sorry is for doing something once. I could've accepted that. But twice is purposeful." She kicked the table holding flowers which fell to the ground and shattered. She rubbed her toe. "Get out of my house," she said angrily, bending down to pick up the broken pieces.
 
She turned her back to her. "Explain, then," she spat, putting the pieces in a pile.
 
"I was jealous. Of you, having someone like joe who really cared for you" she looked down "I just wanted to feel that again"
 
"What about Mojean?" she asked blandly as she walked to the kitchen closet to get a mop.
