In a moment they arrived at the battle field. Kael created some sort of a Sun ball that swallowed up the darkness that encompassed the sky. Edrea, still in her previous gown, began shooting Sun arrows. The battle was almost won and that was a relief. But her soul longed for someone she has yet to find. "Sylvana!" She summoned her Animus who briefly appeared beside her, quickly tilting to the side to let Edrea hold on to her fur before Edrea swung her body upwards as Sylvana began to run towards the castle. The duo thundered through the kingdom, searching for a certain face of a certain avenging Prince.
The sky which has started to brighten was threatened to be swallowed again by darkness. As the last soldiers of the Dawntreader fell, a sudden chilling darkness engulfed the kingdom and soldiers paused in the middle of the battle. Sylvana stopped and Edrea looked at the ground littered with bodies from both the Light and the Dark. Those of the Light began helping those who were fallen and those of the Dark was left in the ground. But then, in a few moments after the darkness fell, Edrea noticed the shadows of those who died seemingly seeping through the ground, as if they were being swallowed.
She could hear her heart hammering from the cold silence. Edrea looked up at the sky. Dawn has settled over. She frowned, digging her heel at Sylvana's side to urge her start running again, faster this time as pressure to find her Prince rose twice as much. The castle loomed above them like a dark omen. Edrea dug her heel again and Sylvana ran through.
The battle has resumed, the corpses of those who have fallen seeming to rise again, to be controlled entirely of another entity. Edrea felt no soul in the bodies that moved without direction other than a constant drive to hit and do as much damage as possible. Finally they reached the entrance, running straight ahead, hoping that it was the throne room. If a battle was to happen between the two brothers, it would be somewhere over there.
But before she could confirm if she was indeed going through the right direction, a chilling voice came right from Edrea's left side, the voice talking right next to her ear. "I'm sorry, Princess. No pets allowed." She was harshly thrown off Sylvana, bouncing off the ice cold walls. Everywhere they touched her body they froze. Edrea quickly scrambled up, just in time to see a large ice sword pierce Sylvana on her throat.
"Sylvana!" Her eyes widened in horror as she saw the blood appear on her black and white fur. A loud resounding cackle bounced off the walls. As Sylvana's body fell, the Dawn Queen's figure was revealed on the other side. She smiled cruelly at the Princess.
"Finally, the Sun King's daughter, visiting my castle." She watched the horror in the Edrea's face with glee. Everything has worked out perfectly. She wanted to take the Shadowlands Kingdom for her son but mostly, she wanted the new Goddess' soul to be trapped just like her brother's. Then she would finally be able to rule all the Kingdoms and no light shall ever reach them. It was her revenge to her fellow Gods who banished her and refused to help her take back Denor. In her eyes, it was their fault Denor fell for Miria as they were the ones who allowed Gods being able to communicate to the people through their dreams. And now, their precious daughter was in her hands.
"You know, Princess, your Prince was really cute when he thought he'd have killed me." She roared with dark laughter, causing the castle made of ice to tremble. "Foolish child." She then looked Edrea in the eye. "Although he did kill me son." Her tone became angry, avenging as she walked towards Edrea, leaving a trail of coldness in her wake. She held Edrea's face, squeezing it painfully as she almost spat in her face. "Pretty little thing, aren't you? No wonder the Prince is very much in love." She laughed once more before throwing Edrea with her sheer force against another wall.
Edrea felt the pain throughout her body as she landed on the floor. But before she could even begin the stand up, the Queen was on her again, dragging her up harshly by her hair. "What a precious, fragile, thing." The Queen spat in her face before her eyes turned deathly and she gripped Edrea's throat, pushing her up against the wall. Edrea tried to kick and squirm to fight back, but the Queen simply tightened her grip. "I will enjoy killing you." She neared her face to Edrea's. "I will take your soul, fully conscious. Unlike my kind son who let you sleep, unaware." Her hand tightened even more at the mention of her son. Her hand turned to a sharp shard of eyes, pushing harshly against Edrea's chest where her heart is. "You will never know peace, find light, or love. I promise you this, my Princess."
