Gender: Male
Race: Elloris Elf
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Kingdom of Origin: Elloris
School of Magic: Malak is proficient in the mystical school of Destruction, with a mastery over the cold, elemental forces of Ice and Frost.
Weapon: He relies mostly on his agility and fighting expertise, as well as magic to wipe out foes. He also uses his double-bladed Elven sword-staff. His regular combo is freezing an enemy and throwing his lance right through his foe's heart. It is not detachable, but Malak would prefer it to be.

Height: 5'8 (176.8cm)
Weight: 155lbs (70.3kg)
Body Type: Toned
Hair: Long, disheveled locks of silvery sinews, parted to the right, whilst working a somewhat shaven left side. Golden rings adorn some strands of hair.
Scars, Tattoos, Etc.: His various cuts and scars are painted cobalt blue and sprinkled with gold and silver powder.
PERSONALITY
Good Traits: Malak is calculating and calm to a fault, which is important in combat. He tends to analyze situations and responds with logic. Socially, he is somewhat hard to crack but should one successfully befriend him, he is harsh with truths and advice. This
may appear to be a bad trait, but true friends deal with the harshest of truths. His schemes may not be the most humane nor the most honorable, but definitely the most practical and efficient.
Bad Traits: Dealing with situations logically has more downs than it has ups in terms of honor, which he has none. In combat, Malak can be cruel and unfair if victory is assured. He has sociopathic tendencies, but not extreme. He has a superiority complex and more often than not, sees himself as higher than others, even other Elves. He can also be biased against those of a lesser intellect and magical skill.
Fears: The destruction of Elloris and being imprisoned yet again.
Quirks and Habits: Shakes his head a lot.
Skills and Talents: A Master of Frost, very fleet of foot, is adept at using a lance, is very street smart, and knows the minds of prisoners and different types of criminals, a schemer.
Likes: Hot tea or chocolate (being a master of ice has made him appreciate those which keep him warm inside), teaching magic, the Elven race, Elloris, the rare ice dragons (he would especially want to learn from these giant beasts as dragons are the few races that can humble him), books and libraries, wielding magic, skilled bards, calming music, stars, the night.
Disikes: Cold drinks, Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, Deserts, Dragonfire, Elves dabbling in blood magic (even Malak would not go so far, and is traumatized by this school of magic).
BACKGROUND
Malak was born to a prestigious family of Elves from a high family—the same social and economic circle as Elloris' beloved Magister. He was the only child of two Elves in the business of trade with the Dwarves, as well as teaching magic in the universities, and thus was one of the wealthiest children in all of the land. His family's palace was visited by many a figurehead, and the Élivágars hosted banquets upon banquets with the many bought servants of races such as Orcs and Trolls (lesser races in the eyes of Malak's family). Malak, however, cared not for the material goods his family possessed, but the information they knew. Thanks to his parents and their background, the elf boy was a learned one... he, however, grew up stereotyping non-Elven races, specifically Goblins, Trolls, and Orcs (simply because they were naturally less intelligent, skilled in magic, and different.
Much like the majority of Elves, he was taught swordsmanship, marksmanship, and mysticism in the academy, and while his friends fancied other magics, he leaned onto the School of Frost. There was just something about the cold that set it apart from the wild and passionate fire, and the quick and impulsive lightning. The young Malak looked up to Magister Alre, whom he had met more than once during family feasts and banquets.
While his mother, Yllara tutored Malak in families, geography, herbalism, types of beasts and races, lore, and other subjects worth learning, it was his father, Malekor who taught him spear-handling, archery, and most importantly, magic. He held flame and frost and shock with unmatched skill—as expected of an Elf like Malak's father. From the outside, it seemed Malak lived the perfect life—he was excellent in the academy through diligence and discipline alone, coupled with consolidated teachings by two esteemed Elven professors, and he had the freedom to go wherever he pleased due to the family fortune. He soon became a minister of magic at one of his father's schools, specializing in Frost. His father could not be any more proud of Malak, choosing, after all, to follow in Malekor's footsteps of becoming an educator. Fortunately for Malak, it was the path of education he followed and not the other path.
His home life, however, was not the best. The father and mother had more arguments than he can count, and there was always something secretive about them. He simply ignored it over and over again. That is, until he witnessed something Blood Magic.
In his anger, Malekor had struck down his own wife. In an attempt to fix the mistake, Malak's father utilized blood magic (the only magic he has not mastered, as it required complete emotional control as well as a partner healer, and Malekor was never the best with his emotions). Malekor called upon Yllara's soul and reattached her spirit into her body. At first, she seemed as though nothing had happened to her. But not long after did she twitch, vomit, and scream. Her eyes glowed a horrific purple, her veins could be seen wriggling from her skin, and her bones crackled. Her smooth breathing turned into wheezing, and she lashed out at her husband shortly thereafter. It was obvious, Malekor had failed. All was lost, and Malak's mother was never the same again. She had become primal, violent, and she remembered nothing from her past life. She was chained in the dungeon, and was treated as a patient for the rest of her life. This destroyed the relationship between Malak and his father.
With the foundation of his relationship with his father thinning, Malak delved deeper into his father's business and discovered truths he could not stomach. Conspiracies, crime, illegal trade with multiple races. Cursing weapons used for war and murder and selling them to a criminal faction of Dwarves and different extremist groups of different races, being a figurehead in the slave trade of even children and other Elves, keeping secret a lot of Blood Magic-related blunders for the Elvish government, silencing his fellowmen who threatened to expose Elloris' dark side to the world (Malak had uncovered a list of whistleblower Elves and one of the names were 'Yllara' his own mother, crossed out with black ink), and most disgusting of all, a plan to usurp the Magister himself despite being old friends.
Motivated by greed and power, his father would invite the Magister and the family to their estate, murder them, and frame the non-Elven household, effectively enticing another war. Malak confronted his own father, and after a heated argument about the philosophy of life and death, the cynical truth that the world was not perfect, that the crown and even the world belonged to the strongest of Elves, the most perfect of all the races, he and his father did battle.
All the anger he had harbored in the past, the cold treatment, abuse, the killing of his mother, the maltreatment of the slaves, the uncovered plans, the revelation that his father was not the perfect father Malak knew since he was born, the desire to kill the Magister—it all emerged, the negativity of it all turning Malak cold. It was far from a stalemate, as Malak's father was proficient in all types of combat magic, but when the maltreated slaves took up Elven arms and used the chaotic battle as their opportunity to escape, Malak struck Malekor down. The Orcs and Trolls under the servitude of the Élivágars saw no sides, but attacked both the son and the father. Malak killed many non-Elves that day both in loss of emotional and mental control and self-defense. His garbs were drenched with frozen blood.
The Élivágar estate was cold and it snowed red within the walls. Many slaves that survived escaped and spread word of Malak's descent into madness, prompting Magister Alre to imprison his old friend's son. Malak was last seen in the dungeon, shattering his frozen mother not to murder her, but to free her from this unjust world. Originally, he killed his household to protect the crown, but after his explanations fell on deaf ears, he was imprisoned for years to come. Malak grew bitter and angry at Magister Alre and the royal family, whose lives he protected only to be given the gift of incarceration.
From a learned young Elven boy, to a minister and teacher of Frost, to a prisoner. He would be later chosen by Magister Alre himself as the prisoner to aid the Delegation not to be redeemed, but as the sacrifice should the Delegation fail...
Relationships: To be discussed.
Job Prior: Teacher of Frost Magic / Prisoner.
Miscellaneous Info: He is a cynic and racist.
