Dragon Age?

I do remember playing the game, about a year ago. Forgive me if I am not very well-versed in my knowledge of the history, plot and so on and so forth with regards to the game, but I am very interested in signing up for this. You say the signups are still open? Hoho, I shall do my best to write up a sheet.

Indeed. I would suggest researching, or even more fun, replaying the game before doing so, just to get an idea of what's going on.

That's a very good idea.
Despite what some people say, it's an awesome series.

I loved the first one, from Origins, to Awakening, to Golems, and finally Witch Hunt, it was a blast to get my "full Light-sided" Dual-Wielding Spirit Warrior/Berserker maxed out.
Liliana's song was fun, and gave you a lot of insight on her past, but Darkspawn Chronicles was almost impossible after getting used to my overpowered hero.
Heck, I even went and made a max level Arcane Warrior and became immortal before I even left the Wilds, which made everything else too easy...

DAII was fun, but they took away Warrior DW, so I was stuck with my greatsword, which was fine and all, since I always had Yusaris as my secondary in the first one, but it still made fights longer than they should've been, and the ending just made me wanna throw my controller...

I finally went and got KoA: Reckoning, and it reminded me a lot of DA, so I thought I'd try to replay it.
Well, I found out that even with my AW, I'm so out of practice that I can get him killed by a Genlock...
I decided to just hold off on it for a bit, and try something new, so here I am. XD
Man, now I feel like one of those this leads to this leads to this commercials. XD

Name(non-applicable in the case of Darkspawn):

Alicia Volfrieunden Untergard

Age(years since birth from a Broodmother for Darkspawn):

27

Race:

Human
Class(or specific breed of Darkspawn):

Rogue, specifically Duelist, a class that specialises in head-on one-on-one combat.

Appearance(rather simple, isn't it?):
Fem-Prussia-Wallpaper-hetalia-24678319-1024-768.png
Alicia is about 170 cm (5'7") tall, coming in at 61 kg (about 135 lbs). She is rather fair, despite her exposure to the elements, mostly due to her preference to travel in colder areas. She is often seen in a blue overcoat, a black tunic with a white cravat and white trousers, with boots that ride to her thighs. On her left hip, her faithful espada ropera is sheathed.

Personality:

Alicia is a proud lady who will go the lengths to prove that she is not just some bard lauding his tales in front of an audience. Having left her home to pursue a mercenary job early, she is knowledgeable of what the world may contain, and has experienced most of which her seniors have not. Due to not having any proper education, however, she butchers the local language by peppering it with improper grammar and malapropisms. Seriousness is not her forte, and she prefers to go on a swordfight with insults and japes rather than all-out serious sword-banging.

Not all is fine with her head, though. Her journey through the land of Thedas, looking for a bit of coin to feed herself, has left her more than a bit emotionally scarred.

Biography:
Where do we start?

Alicia Untergard was the second youngest, born to a family of six in Antiva. Her parents were wine-sellers, known amongst the public due to Antiva's renowned wines. Her eldest brother and second oldest child in the family, Ruger Untergard, whom she was closest to, eventually learned to despise the occupation and its slow income. He eventually picked up a sword and marched out of the house to earn his keep as a mercenary when she was not older than nine. He left Antiva in a guild, looking for coin to ease his parents' burdens. It wasn't long before Alicia tried to follow in his footsteps. However, due to Antiva's customs with regards to females partaking in the combat scene, she was initially stopped in her want to join her brother. The guild she had wanted to join turned her away, in fear of treading on the local customs. In an act of defiance, she bought a tricorn, her blue overcoat and trousers, with a blade of her own. Hiding her locks beneath the hat, she strode back to the guild and demanded they let her in now. Having no proof that she was female, and not willing to check, in case, they had to let her sign up.

Her inexperience with the sword, at first, made her a worthless asset to the guild. She displayed a knack, however, of getting out of harm's way every time she was faced with certain death. More often than not, her allocated missions had her escape with her life. Her amazing luck and deftness of dodging out of a situation made her guildmates clear that, if gifted with the proficiency of a sword, she would make an excellent duelist. Her seniors started training her with the works of a blade, to parry, thrust, cut, pierotte, riposte with the slim espada of hers. Spending almost seven years with her guild, treading through the Tellari swamps, wander the Sundermount watching the sleeping elves, she became quite the swordswoman, and earned a bit of gold on her side. She still had not seen sign of her brother, and her querying of his whereabouts result with no specific answers. His guild, too, had been wandering Thedas. Unless she set off alone, there was no way she was going to catch up with them.

Alas, the two years that followed, marked the death of her guild. Faced with less requests and less income to provide, the guild had to disband, and depart on their own ways. She followed a small group of them to Tevinter, and they soon parted ways there. She started trying to get some information once more with regards to her brother, as well as took up some requests to keep her coin pouch heavy enough.

Luck never shone on her, it would seem. Her months in Tevinter gave her no indication of where her brother may be, and this was only the beginning of the darkness that would encroach her in her mind. A dispute between two men was to be settled with a 'forceful discussion', whereby they duelled to the death, with men to back them up, that is. She was dragged into this dispute by one of them. And upon the opposition, there stood members of her old guild. Reluctant to kill them, she tried to reason with them. Not that it helped, since their blades came awfully close to taking her head off. With a heavy heart, she unsheathed her sword and met their blades with her own.

She survived, in place of their deaths. For the first time in her life, the realisation that killing wasn't all about swinging swords and winning the battle. It was taking the lives of friends and family. Resigned to kill forever more, Alicia continued to wander Thedas, putting on a mask of faux cheeriness, and making up jokes and puns to keep the mood of her current company lively. For all they know, this might be their last day.[/url]

Done, with my very limited memory of the game as a whole. Had to do a little research on the classes/specialisations, though. Here's to hoping I did not botch up my first attempt.

EDIT: Image change, mon. Let us see if this does not work.

I played and beat Dragon Age 1 and 2 never did play Awakening.

I tried KoA: Reckoning I liked it, it reminded me a lot of a mix between Dragon Age and World of Warcraft. Wish they had turned it into a MMO or at least a multiplayer/co op.

When is the zombie one going up? Or is it going up at all?

WHAT ROLEPLAY ARE YOU NOT IN?!?!?!?!
also, is Quanari(?),Werewolf, demon, or wtf Flemeth is(Master shapeshifter? idk) applicable races in this roleplay?

Well, I already posted a CS, so I think you can say I'm interested. XD Just needed to add/edit one or two more things on it, which I just finished, so all I need is an okay to play.

once again

WHAT ROLEPLAY ARE YOU NOT IN?!?!?!?!
also, is Quanari(?),Werewolf, demon, or wtf Flemeth is(Master shapeshifter? idk) applicable races in this roleplay?

1) Quoth Mr. V, "I will be accepting one of each class for Humans/Elves/Dwarves/Qunari (thus, 3) at the very least, with a maximum of 8".

2) I hadn't the slightest memory of what werewolves are, but given the abundance of common fantasy material, 'werewolves' aren't a separate race, and are but a 'sub-race' to the normal race.

3) Flemeth's Specialisation is regarded as Shapeshifter, of the Mage branch. I suppose that's her class, but even official material states her race to be unknown. She is also regarded as the mother of all witches, at least to the aforementioned party. Would that it were, unless you know of her true race, I doubt her race is available for selection.

But pardon my rantings, I'm just attempting to assist.

EDIT: I checked. For 2), werewolves are spoiler material, but summarised, they are basically humans cursed by a Dalish elf. Not exactly a race.

Lol im still debating on changing my character to a girl or not....

I have no idea how to do a darkspawn's history. o.O

You were born. Your mom tried to eat you. You got armored and given a sword. A Grey Warden killed you. The end. That would do for any regular Darkspawn. For a Vanguard: You were born. Your mom tried to eat you. You got armored and given a sword. You killed your mother. You killed the Grey Warden. You went home, enslaved your brothers. And you led the army of the Darkspawn IN THE NAME OF THE ARCHDEMON!!!!

While sounding pretty intense, I could not see that working...haha

Yeah. We really have no idea what the hell Flemeth is.

I guess I just don't understand the darkspawn very well. I mean, are they actually born? What's with the mother killing? Does it really make sense to have slain a grey warden? Nicole Simpson can't rap. I demand order!

That got off topic. Anyway, I should problem do a bit of extended universe research on the darkspawn or something just so I can understand it better. You haven't started the IC right? That'll give me a little time to research them make him. That okay?
