Arih pet him a few times and he eased out of bed after a while to go make a call to Max, telling him to send down a prenatal doctor. Once the other stopped laughing and swearing he promised to send one, a good one who could keep their mouth shut. He headed back in to check on Felicity then.

Felicity was sprawled out on the bed. Taking up about half of iteventhen because he was so small. He burrowed his face into a Ariths pillow and sighed in his sleep. Body relaxed and his tail flicking out from under the edge off the side of the bed. Then he turned his head towards Arith and mumbled the vampires name. Still very much asleep. And he,reaxhed out across the bed, even thenseeming to know he was there. Watching. Not at all aware that yet anither docotr would be arriving to check on Felicity.

Arith perched on the edge of the bed and held Felicity's hand. "Sleep is good for you," he sighed. He couldn't get rid of the child, not knowing how it would destroy Felicity. Even so, he still didn't want it. Yet if he said so he would have to see him cry again. So he was in a bit of a bind.

He eased when Arith held his hand. If tmhe room the child it would devastate Felicity and destroy any trust they had ir any chance at having anything in the future. And Felcitiy might have another meltdown of Arith told him he didn't want the child again... He slept relatively soundly for hours. But he would wake eventually to a still dim room with the curtains drake as usual so he couldnt tell if it was night or day. Looking around tiredly. Feeling better with rest and feeling hungry as well.

It was early afternoon, and Arith sat beside him on the bed, reading. He looked down at Felicity and gave a faint smile, petting his hair. He was concerned about whether he was going to be able to feed from him now that he was pregnant, and naturally sex would be out of the question especially as he got further along. The doctor would be there within the hour so it was good Felicity was awake. He picked him up and brought him in to wash up and then down to the kitchen for food.

Felicity was feeling better this afternoon. His morning cramps gone. He let Arith tote him around and clean him up. Once he was fed he made an attempt to go outside and feel the sun on his fave and grass under his feet. But of course he changed his mind and chose to stay with Arith instead. He looked up at him and gave just the sweetest smile. It was hard to be uoset with him when he did that.

Arith returned it though his was brief and quiet, kissing the male's forehead beside his newly regrown horn. The front door was rapped on then and he went to open it, to see who it was Max had sent him for a doctor who would take care of Felicity. He was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a familiar face.

The albino demon was named Luke, for those who knew him well. Others just called him the White Doctor. He was a demon, and an old one, and knew probably all there was to know about magical births. He worked closely with Arith's distant relatives, a family of incubi who often had male births in the family due to their nature. "Thank you for coming," he said honestly, clasping his hand briefly.

"Of course," Luke said simply. "Where's the lucky little thing?"

Felicity trailed along behind Arith, and was hidden at,first. But when,he heard the other demon speak he peeked out from behind his vampire. Funny thing that he thought that. He was a little spooked by the man but he seemed so nice. He didnt look scary at all. But he was a stranger. So Felicity peeked at him from behind Arith and was wary. Wonderinf what this man was here for.

Luke nodded at him, pale blue eyes kind and calm as he looked at the tiny unicorn. "Hello there," he said. He did not smile widely, but his voice was warm and comforting. "I'm here to take a look at you, and to make sure that your pregnancy goes well."

Felicity moveda bit more behind Arith and looked up at him, arms, reined around the vampires arm as he stood there. Mostly behind him now but his pretty little head poking out. He was wary and after all that would happen it would take time,to gain his trust. A week at the least. Felictys pregnancy would only last three months. Unicorns had remarkably short gestation periods due to their low survival rate. And he would swell quickly in the coming weeks. If all went well and he wasn't stressed at least.

Arith glanced down at him and sighed softly. He had the male follow him inside and sat Felicity on the bed, telling him to lay down so Luke could look at him.

"I won't touch you," the doctor told him calmly. "I'll just be taking a look." He held out his hands, and they began to glow with a soft, white light that was warm and soothing as he guided them over the pregnant male's body without touching him.

Felicity was a little difficult to coax into the bed, but eventually he settled for laying down so longas Arith sat on the bed with him. He squirmed a little bit but went still at the white glow of the demons hands. Watching the glide aboce his stomach which had the tiniest of bumps to it. Just barely visible at all. As long as Luke disnt touch Felicity the little unicorn wouod be just fine. But he clung to Arith of courae, squeezing his hand and watching semi curiously.

Luke calmly and quietly examined his body, checking the health of the baby and the 'mother,' the balance of his energy. "You should spend more time out in the sun, light creatures need a lot of Vitamin D during their pregnancies. Arith make sure he gets out there okay? I'll make you something to help you stand the sunlight."

Felicity would also experience strange cravings like most pregnant mothers did. Though his might be a,bit more odd and unusual than most. He was a unicorn after all. And Luke was right. He did need to ne out in the sunlight more. He needed to be kept fed and well rested. But not in bed all the time. He needed to stay active to an extent and,up to a certain time in his pregnancy. The final two weeks would be spent in bed. Felicity waited patiently for his little examination to end. Knowing his child was healthy. If not a little undersized... But healthy.

Luke explained all this to him and then let Arith help Felicity up. "Thank the nice doctor," the vampire prompted. "You can have any room you like Luke, feel free to enjoy yourself when you're not working with Felicity." With that he brought the youth outside to bask in the sun a bit, staying on the shaded balcony for now until Luke could work out something to help his light tolerance.

Felicity stayed, nearby Arith when he was outside. His paranoia dimmed a bit but still lingering. So he wandered around just off the porch and played in the grass a,bit. Sprouting flowers and donning a small crown of them on his head. Smiling brightly at Arith and, giggling a bit as he made one for his lover. Or what he felt as his lover anyway. Then rushing up and trying to get it onto the mans head. Though he couldnt quite reach that high. He settled for changing it into a pair of bracelets and hsving Arith wear them that way. Content he walked around near the porch some more until he felt tired and wanted to go back inside for another nap. He woukd be doing a lot of sleeping when he wasn't eating or in the Sun.

Arith allowed the flower accessories patiently, though he took them off once they were inside. He set the male on the couch, head in his lap, and pet him as he relaxed and read, drinking his wine and thinking about life. He was happiest when there wasn't a bunch of drama and excitement around him.

The next two months seemed to fly by. And Felicity would fall into a routine. Wake up, take,a bath, eat breakfast. Nap. Eat lunch, nap. Go outsidr and sunbathe for an hour. Nap. Eat dinner. Go to bed. He didnt do much else. Though some days he did,a stay up more and spend tome with Arith. They watched tvand he got Arith to read to him sometimes. But he did sleep a lot. And today was the start if the last two weeks. He had gotten closer to the doctor during their time together which was scarce. But he had learned to trust the demon to an extent. The child was growing well. Heakthy and at a healthy size. But these last two weeks Felicity would be bed ridden. His appetite would fade and he would look a little ill. Which wasnt normal. It the darkness of their child sapping all of Felicitys energy for itself. At the rate his own health was declining he wouldnt survive childbirth.

Luke was doing his best to keep Felicity stable, at his side at all times and feeding energy into him. Trying to keep the light and dark balanced within him, but Arith's power was overwhelming the unicorn's. Arith had grown more and more testy through the months, feeding on blood Max brought him and spending lots of time beside Felicity though he didn't seem pleased. He was less and less sure what to think as the birth grew closer. However... "This child is killing him," he muttered as he stood just outside the door with Luke. They were assuming Felicity was asleep after his latest treatment. "It would be better to just take it out. He can have another later, once he's properly converted."

"You know that isn't what he wants," Luke answered calmly. "And I don't think you want it either."

"I will choose him over a creature of my blood," Arith snapped in return.

Felicity heard... And as,much as he didnt want to believe that the child was killing him... It was the only pheasible explanation. And he held off tears. Because crying hurt too much physically. He was so weak right now. But he heard, and he watched the door, betrayal in his eyes. He wasn't going to give up. And while he didn't want to die he certainly wasn't going to convert to anything. Je wasn't sure what Arith meant by that but he didn't trust it. His heart aches. And he put a hand protexticely over his swollen belly, ripe with the life of a child. Born of light and dark.

"I wont let him take you..."
