Blood of the Lamb

Adrian rubbed his back and fed him some little pieces of caramel as they flew. The little black cat had appeared from somewhere and curled up between them, purring to reassure the tiny unicorn. They touched down a couple hours later at a villa outside a small town. Arith carried the male out of the copter with his familiar weaving around his feet.

Felicity stirred when they moved out if the helicopter. Seeing the large villa on a plot if green land he squirked out if Ariths arms,to go play in the grass suddenly no longer afraid at the sight of nature all around. He squealed with delight, and sprinted into the grass, immediately sprouting flowers everywhere and decoratug the crisp and clean lawn with messy wildflowers. Completely ruining the neat look if the villa,

Arith chuckled a little, not really minding. He paid the helicopter pilot and walked towards the house, where he set about having a group of minor demons clean it up while Felicity played, watching him from the porch. Once he was ready to go in the vampire would dismiss the demons so as not to scare him.

Felicity ran around until he was out if breath and then he flopped down in the grass. Giggling and wiggling around, flowers sprouting up around him and swaying in the breeze. He fid get up and go back to Arith after a time though, glad to be back on the ground and happy to explore the expanse if the villa. Checking every room he could get into. Some were locked up tight of course, but ithers opened up easily. He was excited as ever,to be somewhere new. Tugging Arith along everywhere, his worry long forgotten in the wonder if a new house. A new place to play. To explore.

Arith let himself be tugged along until he was really too irritated by the bright sun coming through the windows and shooed the male off, allowing him to continue exploring as he made his way to a bedroom much like the one in the apartment, albeit with a more opulent decoration and a plush rug. He drew the curtains there and lay down with a sigh.

Felicity explored the house with excitement. Finding a big garden in the bacjyard and plating ariund in it, tracking dirt onto the rear porch but thankfully not into the house. He wandered off to,go find Arith but jnstead ended up back at the backyars again. He fell asleep in the garden soil, bathed in warm sunlight. Dozing contentedly. He was happy enough. And the next week would be filled with threats and sums of money labelled with Felicitys name. Someone trying to buy the young unicorns as listed in a note sent with every envelop of money. A whole week of antagonization. And Felicity didnt even understand it.

Arith, who had more than enough money and was mostly just annoyed that his summer villa was being besieged with unwanted mail, took great pleasure in burning the daily envelopes in the fireplace as he thoroughly sexed his little unicorn on the carpet. Felicity didn't need to understand, he would keep him innocent and clueless and happy.

Felicity greatly enjoyed all the sexual romping about through the villa. In the kitchen, the bathroom. The bedroom. The floors, the walls. Everywhere they felt like it they feverishly attacked one another with sexual endeavors. But at theend of the week, there was a very... Foreboding sense around the villa. Someone was watching, very closely. And Feliciry noticed it. Staying indoors as often as he could rather than spending time playing in the gardens.

Arith sat reading and sipping wine, having recently fed from Felicity, who he had laying on the couch with him, head on his lap. He was petting him. His familiar curled up behind his shoulders. He rubbed his thumb over the male's cheek, then brushed it down to the faint marks of his fangs, fading slowly.

Felicity had made it a habit of taking a nap aftwr Arith fed from him. So he was resting right now. He woke up shortly however, unable to sleep like he usually did. He rubbed his eyes and looked around the room, giving a small yawn. He slipped off the couch and turned around to pet the demon cat before he padded off to the garden outside, dawdling off to let Arith have some time to himself. Felicity got more attached every day. And he decided today was the perfect day to go out into the garden.

Arith looked up curiously since Felicity had been spending the last few days mostly inside. He closed his book and went to stand, carrying his glass of wine and meandering after his little unicorn. He wasn't worried, this place was quite safe with a barrier around it, no human or lesser demon or vampire could get in without his permission.

Their little enemy was certainly not a demon. Nor a vampire. And definitely was powerful enough to get past the barrier. But it was corrupt, this being. He did not play nice either. Felicity dawdled off to the garden and sat down on the far end if the yard, playing in the Azaleas. Pretty pink and red blooms that were one of his favorites. But just as Arith was stelpung onto the back porch there would be a flash if light by Felicity, all silver feathers and with asowrd on his hip. A holy blade. Designed for slaying darkness. No doubt this was one of those tighteous angels seeking to take Feicity away to maintain his purity. To rid him of Ariths taint. And it was just as fast as Arith, this one. Snatching Felicity up before the biy could so much as squeak and then taking to the skies in a flash if light again. There was still time for Arith to chase him however.

Arith snarled, letting his glass of wine fall and shatter as his enormous black wings burst from his back and he launched himself into the sky after them, strong beats sending him upwards. He would not let anyone take Felicity. He didn't understand though. An angel would not send him letters and money. Was this another, unexpected enemy?

Not a proper angel... But oerhaos a fallen and corrupted one... Tainted. Jealous. Conniving and sneaky. Fallen angels were like that. They liked drama, and suspense. To draw things out. To plot and plan, like the rats they were. This one was old though, its eings stained white intnetionally with hints if grey where the stain had faded. Playing as the righteous thing it had once been. It glared at Arith and moved faster through the air before dropping in to a dive towards the city, zipping between buildings and making sharp turns on razor edged wings. Felicity having been knocked out to keep him from yelling and calling for Arith. Limo in the angels arms.

"Seitara, keep steady with him," Arith growled. The shimmer in the air that was his veiled familiar darting to and fro as she kept up with the fleeing angel. Even if he lost the enemy he would be able to find him again so long as the hidden cat with her shining wings stayed close.

The angel didn't seem to notice the familiar flying by him. But after a while it picked up even more speed, flying out if Ariths range, beyond his reach. And taking Felicity with him. No doubt it woukd find the demon cat sooner or later and destroy it at aome point, eradicating Ariths lead. But fir now Arith would be able to find Felicity. They flew very far, this angel had a lot of stamina. They flew out into the wilderness for some reason. Far from civilization. Far from Arith. Felicity would be terrified without him.

Tara was seen of course and knocked from the sky. She survived, thankfully, but was unable to keep up as a result. So they were lost to him, for now. Arith spent the next week in the worst mood anyone had seen him in. Even Max was nervous around him, but allowed Arith to utalize all of his resources to try and find the boy.

Felicity soent that week in chains. Starved and, depriced if sunlight. Locked in an old bunker in the woods far from society. The angel visited him daily. Beat him. Claiming to be trying to rid him of his imourities. To make him clean. Felicity ached, and he was numb from the pain now. Nithing he woukdnt survive. He retreated into his mind to avoid, all the hurt. But he wondered... Where was Arith? Why wasnt he here to save him again? Where was his savior this time?

But even an angel could slip up. He wa sspotted in the city again, getting his sword polished and buying metal cuffs that were... Small. Small enough to fit Felicity. Because the little unicorn had gotten out of his cuffs a couple times and tried to escape. So he would be wearing smaller and tighrer cuffs to keep him chained up. But being spotted in public made him open to attack.

Arith would applaud the male's cleverness in avoiding him so long if he wasn't so god-damn stupid. That and the fact that this man had pissed him off beyond belief of course. The angel would possibly feel a slight heaviness to his steps, but would never be able to connect it to his shadow, suddenly a bit darker than usual.

The angel in fact did nkt notice at all. And if he was faking he was, doing an excellent job of it. Be walked on, eventually heading off. He didnt fly unless he had too. If you looked closely at his wings they were actually, rotten under the feathers and it paiend him to fly. So he took a short trip back,to the forested area and walked through to get to the bunker. There was no sign of Felicity when he arrived at the bunker, he pushed open a heavy metal door and entered. It was lit by dull lights within, providijg plenty of shadow to hide in. But the angel was leading Arith right to Felicity.
