Angels and Demons

At first, Datenshi started to get up, to get the drawing pad that contained the beautifully draw picture of her and burn it, but he decided against it. He sighed deeply and bit his lip, reaching for his iPod then growled as he realized it was dead. He began to throw that too, but decided against it as he thought that he couldn't get another one for a while. He sat up and put it away as she walked by, almost tripping over the drawing pad. Serves her right.

Kaethe paused and looked down at the drawing pad, but it had landed face down so it seemed blank to her. Rolling her eyes at messy people, she slid it aside into Datenshi's room without even glancing at him, then wandered away sucking dough from her spoon with delight. She hummed to herself and walked into her own room, closing the door behind her. Once she was inside and the curtains were closed, she flopped on her bed and just stared at the ceiling as she munched.

Alyss had simply shaken her head at the girl who'd offered to help. It was fine, and she didn't really care to divulge the secrets of others anyway. Well, maybe not secrets but things that might be of a personal nature to the Demon. She wasn't really a gossip anyway. Alyss stood with the dustpan and carried it into the kitchen. She dumped the shards of door into the trash and exited once more. Hopefully she'd managed to pick up completely because Alyss didn't want to step on any more pieces of wood. Alyss passed by Datenashi's room once more, noticing the lack of door, and stood in the doorway.

"Perhaps a door would be a good addition to this room. It seems a hazardous zone," Alyss commented. Despite the rather sarcastic nature of the words, Alyss' tone was rather level and cold. She glanced at him once more before moving away and trying to think of something she could do for the next few hours.

Datenshi smiled then before he knew it he was up and in the hallway behind her. Someone who actually wanted to talk to him was rare, whether it was sarcasm or not.

"Hey, uhm, was that you flying earlier...?"

He wanted some company, something to drag him from the depression nagging at the corners of his mind.

Alyss heard the Demon approach, quickly. Not very surprising since non-Humans tended to be fast. So many years on Earth had changed her way of thinking. Instead of comparing things to Angels as she used to do, Alyss now caught herself thinking as compared to Humans. It was rather odd, now that she thought about it. Then Alyss shoved the thought away, deciding it didn't really matter. Besides, Datenashi had started talking.

"Yes, it was. I assume you were the one waving?" Alyss asked, turning her head slightly to look at him.

He smiled warmly and nodded a bit. He hadn't talked to anyone for a while and this woman was willing to talk so he smiled and took a small step closer. He didn't mean any harm by getting closer, but he stepped back a bit to where he was so he wouldn't look too suspicious. He spoke gently, a soft smile on his lips.

"Yes, I was. Would you like to... spend some time for me for a while? Just for the company?"

Alyss simply stared as the Demon nodded and smiled. He seemed much more open then most of the other Demons she'd met. Not that Alyss had really had the chance to speak to many. In fact, the last one Alyss had even seen had been thousands of years ago, back when she was banished. He'd been the reason she was banished, actually, and Alyss had made it a point to avoid Angels and Demons both ever since. Well, until now, clearly. She hesitated for a moment as he asked whether she would like to talk, then mentally shrugged.

"I see no better way to pass the time right now. You may call me Alyss," the Fallen introduced herself. She did not hold out a hand, nor give any other sign that ahe intended to go nearer to him. If he wished to move to a different spot then she would follow, but Alyss had no intention of doing any physics, touching. Another thing she found herself avoiding.

Ornias looked for a moment at the demon and then turned around, already making his way to the stairs in long strides. He didn't looks back to see if Ru'mel was following, he knew he would, anyway. The only thing he could think of right now was get out. Being inside the mansion was a bit stressing for him. Shouts, doors slams, walls all aorund him...not even his job with the mortals was like that. He constantly ran his tongue through his teeth as he made his way to the main or back door, whatever was close enough, to be able to get out. He had to clear his mind about a lot of things, mostly the fact he was finally interacting with more immortals like him. Other thought that nagged at him was how Ru'mel, a demon, a creature that causes mischief and trouble, could be acting nice towards him. 'Maybe it's only me going mad.'

Ru followed ornias. The way he swayed his hips was tantalizing. Mmm, yummy. Though, shouldn't. I be doing the seducing? Ohh well. After they reached the roof, he spread his wings to full length, sending a cascade of brilliant, dark colored light. He took off, fast. Causing a huge gust of wind that made ornias' hair fly everywhere. Then, lying on a cloud, he called out "you coming?"

Ornias rubbed the back of his head and then let his hand fall. 'You know how to do this, man. A demon can't be better than you.' He had had trouble with flying to great heights after he had been banished, but had overcome it after various tries and many falls. He looked up, his eyes trained on a cloud next to Ru'mel. He planted his feet on the roof and spread his wings, flapping them slightly, not aware of Ru'mel watching him with curious eyes. His feet left the ground and then he shot up, twirling gracefully in the air as he used to do it so many times many years ago. He grinned smugly. 'Time for a bit of a show'. His thoughts about having a peaceful flight were gone the distant he started making tricks in the air, he loved to give people something to look to, specially if that 'something' was himself. After a few more twirls and turns, he sat on the cloud next to the demon, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow in a 'did you like it?' way.

"Well, aren't you just a treat." Ru said, biting his lower lip. Feeling the nice cold air against his wings was a nice touch to the night. The sunset was a brilliant pink red. This may be a good year.

Ornias shrugged, giving a sideways look at Ru'mel, suppressing a snigger that was trying to come to his face. He leaned back, his feet dangling on the edge of the cloud, and put his hands on the back of his head as he clased his eyes. "Nice way to start our stay in here, don't you think?" He sighed deeply, enjoying the smooth feeling he felt at his back from the cloud underneath him. 'Was he checking me out?' Ornias asked himself mentally, remembering the way the demon looked at him. He let it go, after all there were demons here and there that went for a male these days. He was sure he was the next one in line.

"Very. Now, what about some fun? Some entertainment. Something thrilling." He said, a smile across his face. With his eyes, he took a good look at ornias. He always wanted someone close. Male, female, demon, angel. It was all the same to him. As long as they had a good personality.

Datenshi smiled warmly and bowed, gesturing to the front door. He had seen the fallen angel flying, and he had felt the freedom she had felt. He knew that to get her to relax, they would need to fly. He wanted her to be comfortable, because as of right now, he felt as if he had cornered her with his offer. He smiled smoothly and spoke.

"Would you like to go flying with me then?"

Alyss' eyes flickered to the door as Datenashi made his request. She usually preferred to fly alone. It was a special tome for her, the one place where she could relax and almost let herself be happy. While she was flying, she was weak and she tended to let her guard down. Flying with someone was not a good idea... However, it did not seem like Datenashi wanted to attack her, and what secrets did she have anyway? Even if she found herself spilling everything, everything wasn't much.

"Very well. Let us fly," Alyss responded cordially.

Datenshi bowed and allowed her to go first then he stepped through the door as his night-black wings finally sprouted fully, almost blocking out the sun. He shook them out, the black scales shifting and relaxing. Most people thought it strange for someone to have dragon wings, but he thought they were just unique.

Alyss walked through the door into the open air. She glanced over at Datenashi as he followed behind her. She took a few steps forward so as to give him room. She spread her own wings, just as black as his but feathered. She glanced at the Demon's scaled wings, but chose not to comment. After all, her wings could be considered just as odd in some ways. Alyss shook out her wings and a single feather fluttered to the ground. Alyss turned to Datenashi, polite enough to wait for him before ascending.

Ornias opened his eyes and turned to look at Ru'mel, a blond eyebrpw raising at him questioningly. "Any ideas coming from you, mate?" He sat up, putting his hands on his head, a smug smirk coming to his face. "Would you mind a race in the air?" Ornias suddenly looked down from the cloud, looking at the two other ones ready to fly, black filling a portion of the green grass.

Datenshi's eyes widened as her darkened wings spread out behind her, framing her perfectly. The sunlight bounced off of them, giving them a blue-ish hue. He was almost speechless. He smiled and spoke gently, interested but not wanting to offend her in any way.

"I thought you were... Wait... Alyss... That Alyss? The bravest angel to the date... I apologize. Please forgive me, it's quite an honor to meet such a legend."

Datenshi bowed deeply and smiled warmly. He was humbled being in the presence of such an extraordinary woman. He hadn't expected her to be put in a place like this. He straightened back up and stretched his wings, then took off effortlessly, rolling his shoulders as his wings stretched and worked for the first time in years. It felt wonderful to use them again.

"A race doesn't sound like much fun. Maybe, something to do with the two on the ground. Any ideas?"
