When you wake up, you're in bed. And that would be normal. Completely so. However, this wasn't your bed, and this wasn't your home. You didn't know how you knew that, considering your head was fuzzy and you couldn't remember anything else. You just have a feeling, though. On your wrist, you feel some sort of white band- it's hard, and doesn't appear to come off. Well, it can't come off because you want it to, at least. Next to you is another bed, and the room appears to be a dorm from what you can see.

After getting up, you notice a note pinned to a nearby cork boards, and you curiously go over. It reads:

Dear New Student,

It is a pleasure to have you at our institution. We do hope you feel well rested and will join us for a meeting in the auditorium in 30 minutes.

With well wishes for your gaining of knowledge and your increasing recovery;

That's all. There's no instructions how to get there. It appears you'll have to figure that, and what 'recovery' you need, out yourself.

Welcome to Afterlife! This is a mystery-based roleplay set in a school with supernatural elements. That's a lot, right? Yea. Well, there's really nothing else to place it under. Basically, each character, no matter how many you make, wakes up in a dorm room without a single clue- other than their first name -to whom they are. All they have is the person they're rooming with and the note on the wall telling them to go to the auditorium.

This roleplay will have events and clues and such, as well as have a system of getting most characters involved in the plot themselves.

There isn't much to say here.
-No one-liners
-Have decent grammar
-Don't make shit up about the rpg lore. I know there isn't much up there but that's for a reason.
-No godmodding, no gary/mary sues/whateverthefuck
-Seriously. I think you know what to do and what not to do at this point.
-Do I really need to go over this.
-No character limit. Just make sure you can handle them.
-Post at least once every three days. If you can't, please tell me.

Character Bios and Sections:

What type of character can you be?

STUDENT:
Students are ages 16-23. They have no memory but their name. They are told they are recovering from SOMETHING, but they aren't sure what.

MENTOR:
Mentors are ages 17-23. They're students that have been at least there for a year, and, as expected, mentor other students. They also make sure everyone follows the rules and such.

TEACHER:
They teach the classes for the students and mentors. They are ages 23+. There isn't really anything special about them.

SUPERVISORS:
Creatures that, supposedly run the school. Not much is known about them. You are not allowed to control a supervisor.

School life

The White Bands (WB's): Students wear WBs that monitor various health aspects of them, their feelings, and where they are. You can't take them off without really trying hard.

Places:

Dorms
The dorms are where you stay at. They have two beds, two desks, and a few bookshelves, as well as two dressers.

Cafeteria
Where you eat. The menu changes each day, but the options seem rather diverse no matter what.

Gym
Though there is no gym period, there is still a gym, which you can go to in your free time.

Classrooms
These are the classrooms that the classes happen in.

Courtyard
You can go to the courtyard for some relaxation.

Pool
Again, a place for relaxation.

Auditorium
School-wide meetings are held here when needed, as are things such as plays.

Library
You can take books out from here, for pleasure OR research.

School Rules:
Curfew is 11:00 pm, unless otherwise stated.
Always eat your lunch.
Skipping classes is allowed after the first class, but tests and projects are still required.
Do not curse or say inappropriate things.
Do not vandalize school property.
Do not try to leave the school boundaries.

School Schedule:
The schedule for all students is the same, but the days are every other. So, there's a schedule A and a schedule B. For example, B would go monday, A would go tuesday, so on, so forth.

• Considerate: Alice always puts the needs of others before herself. She isn't selfish at all, and would give the shirt off her back to someone less fortunate. This is one of her weaknesses, as it's hard for her to say no.
• Shy: Alice tends to stay quiet around people, even those she knows. It takes a special someone to get through to her really cheerful and talkative state.
• Passionate: Once into something (or someone), Alice falls hard and fast. She absolutely cannot talk about anything else, and she gets super excited when asked about something she loves. This doesn't happen too often, considering the things she adores are a bit strange.
• Thick-Skinned: Not too much bothers Alice. She doesn't really get offended, and she doesn't mind if people don't like the things she enjoys. One thing that does bother her, however, is seeing someone else getting hurt.

• Serious: Leigh, for the most part, keeps a serious face about him. He doesn't joke around much, mostly because it isn't expected of him. If he does crack a joke, usually it's something that flies right over people's heads, or something very painfully punny. So, he just strays away from that stuff.
• Manipulative: Leight gets what he wants, when he wants. He's intimidating and can coerce people into doing his bidding. He hasn't gotten his own cup of coffee in ages.
• Quiet: He prefers nice peace and quiet, so he himself is usually a quiet and relaxed person. He doesn't shout, and instead likes to use methods of quiet intimidation.
• Devious: Nobody really knows what's going on in Leigh's head. He tends to come up with various plots and schemes, and it's rare that they fail. He likes to think, and he does it well.
• Coarse: While not rude, Leigh will definitely tell you that your hair looks stupid or there's spinach in your teeth. Not as well equipped with common etiquette as some people, he can come off as crude and mean, but he's not that bad. He just likes swearing a lot.
