- I work 10 hours days 4 1/2 days of the week as a vet tech. Some days I come home and just fall straight to bed after a long day, but others I'll come on. I also compete in obedience competitions with my dog, so a lot of my time is spent training with him. The weekends and Mondays are my best days to be on.

Hope knew that he would always send her a text or even call her when he was out on the trails or when he was on his way back home or already home, but just hearing that bit of reassurance that he would make sure to do that made her feel a little better. Of course, in all honesty it made her worry a little more because she knew the day that he would go on the trails and to the river she probably wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything else other than him sending her a text or calling her. She would wonder where he was and if he was okay when she wasn't on the phone with him, and how was she supposed to deal with that? As best as she could, she tried to push the thought aside and breathed out a sigh as she watched William getting out of the car, biting her lip as she sat there for another second before she leaned over again to the glove compartment on the passenger side and grabbed out a few napkins for the two of them while reaching back to get Jazzy's bowl and the water bottles.
Soon after that she closed the door behind her and locked the car, a bit of a surprise coming to her when she felt William's hand envelope hers. She looked down at their joined hands, put on a little smile and then looked at him before they started going over to the little hill. She watched and let him spread the blanket out for them before she sat down on her knees with her legs bent, herself reaching for the bags of food shortly after as she opened it and started to lay the food out, setting the bucket of chicken down first and then everything else around it. It was in that moment, though, she she realized they were missing something. "We forgot to get plates." Despite herself, she gave off a short snort and a short laugh at that as she rubbed the back of her neck, her eyes turning to look at William, another small smile on her lips. "And forks too." Ho had they forgotten those? But there was a plastic fork in the bag that was in its own plastic warp with an extra napkin in there. She figured, if anything, they could share off of that. "I guess we'll just have to hold the food then, or use the napkins as make shift plates." If they would even really eat, for that matter. But regardless she said that she would try, and she really would.
With that thought in mind she reached over for the potato wedges and opened the box up to take one out as she took a bite out of it, looking to William with a raised brow as she made the piece of food go down.
