Activate my Heart

Zaeden accepted the muffin on the napkin and slid it closer to himself by the corner of the cloth, as he began to pick of a piece and pop it in his mouth Angie came over again leaning over the costumer side of the counter. "Awe, Zaeden, why didn't you get me a muffin?" Her face sat in a fake pout. He just blinked at her confused as to why he would have.

"You don't need food." He said blatantly. Angie pretended to be hurt by his words.

"Oh how cruel you are!" She smiled and winked at him sneakily. "So are you ready for day number two?" She asked probing into his inner thoughts. He shrugged as he popped another piece of muffin into his mouth. The job wasn't hard so it wasn't as though he had to prepare physically for it, but interacting with flirty drunk did exhaust his patience. SHe laughed. "SO mysterious!" She glanced over to Loki eating half the muffin too. "Loki, darling, how'd you get Zaeden to buy you a muffin! You must tell me your secrets!" She asked cheerfully, joking more than serious.

Zaeden ignored her playfulness and turned to a costumer who was approaching the bar for a simple beer. He had rushed over to get the customer because of what he had seen the other night, Loki over worked himself even though he did a well enough job. He wanted to let the other finish eating before he had to deal with people.

As he grabbed the plain beer to pour in a cup he wondered why he was paying so much attention to one human when he obviously didn't care about any of the others. it was quite an anomaly to him, but he'd choose to ignore it for now. "Here, sir." The man said a simple thanks before walking away sipping his beer going back to his apparent date.

Angie was still leaned on the counter teasing Loki with her little questions and poking fun at Zaeden.

He smiled slightly as Zaedan ate. He knew androids didn't have to, but he figured life would be missing something if you never enjoyed food. Actually he thought that way because he had lived it. He looked up as Angie spoke, watching her and Zaedan interact. He stifled a laugh at the males blunt response, was the other trying to be funny?

He ignored the next part of their discussion, instead thinking idly about what tonight may be like. Would it be busy? He realized he didn't even know what day of the week it was, and that limited his ability to judge how the night would go. He was once more dragged from his thoughts as he was referred to. He blushed slightly, he didn't enjoy being teased.

But he smiled lightly, his mask coming back up again as his eyes became slightly unsure. Even though hed been around Angie longer, he still wasn't sure how to handle her. Her moods and expressions changed quickly, as most humans and androids did, and it made it hard to keep up. "Ah, I didn't do anything though..." He replied honestly, trying to laugh it off. He could tell she wasn't looking for a real answer, but didn't know how to respond other than honestly.

He noted a customer approaching and was about to get to work when he saw Zaedan already covering it. He watched the males back a moment before looking to the food in his hand. He popped another piece in his mouth, and then nother until he'd finally finished his "meal". He tossed the napkin into the trash before taking a gulp of tea. He smiled slightly to himself, holding the cup and letting it's warmth warm his hands a moment.

He could hear a few more customers filing in and decided that he would be more productive tonight. He nodded slightly to himself before leaving his drink on the shelf and turning to Zaeden. "I know you have it pretty much down now, but if you have any questions just ask." He smiled, it wasn't a true smile, but it was hard for him to switch between the two. "I'm sure you'll do great again though." He said sincerely, but he decided that he at least didn't want to fall behind the new hire tonight. Just for one night.

Zaeden sighed inwardly as Angie walked back to her post to greet a few costumers who were coming her way, the far side - the side that she tended- served food. Zaeden was glad that he didn't to be that kind of waiter. They had to talkative and fake, but then again bartending wasn't all that different. But at least he could get away with being a little rude, drunk people sometimes didn't care.

He noted that Loki seemed a little more determined, but he wasn't sure how he was supposed to judge that, so he just nodded at the offer and waited for people to start ordering drinks. 30 minutes went by without a hitch. People ordered and drank and pretty much left him alone, nor did they seem to bother Loki. He mixed drink getting used to perfecting the few that he wasn't used to yet, and kept his station clear. But then the blonde from early that morning came back.

She was wearing a different dress this time but her hair was in the same 'sexy' style it had been before. "Hello again, mr. bartender." Her voice was sultry and seductive but it had no effect on Zaeden. He only nodded a greeting.

"What to drink?" He questioned wanting her to get the hint that he wasn't going to pick up on her ques. He had dealt with enough women like that, who only wanted sex from him because he could go a hell of a lot longer then a human male, and because he never 'finished early'. When exactly he wasn't even sure if he ever even 'finished' before. He for sure had never been 'lost in the moment' as others had said before him. But he had been told that he did pretty amazingly in bed, at least for the women. Either way, what ever past experiences he had, he wasn't about to repeat them.

"A tall drink of you?" She raised her drawn on eyebrow and pointed her painted finger nail at him. Zaeden remained unaffected.

"We don't sell that here." His eyes squinted a little as he was beginning to grow agitated. It was easy for him to feel rage, with no love to balance it out he had been known in the past to let loose and not be able to stop. She merely tsked at him then ordered herself a drink. quickly he made it for her then slid it over to her. She ran her hand up his arm as she took the drink. "You're no fun, mr. Bartender." Her voice was a whisper as she perked her lips at him. He took his arm back and patted down his sleeve. He hated when women treated him like a piece of meat.

Loki was glad that tonight was going smoothly. He kept an eye on his hands, making sure to keep them away from others. He made drinks swiftly, smiling and laughing in that fake way that he had as he slowly took in tips. He sighed when he finally had a lull in customers, taking the time to check stock and sip his tea.

He took this time too to check Zaedans area. Though at the moment he only saw one woman at the bar. He noted that it seemed Zaedan had met her before, and she was acting overly familiar with him. Loki blushed slightly and looked away, was if a girlfriend? He couldn't really hear them over the din of the bar. He couldn't help but glance back though, curiosity growing in him.

He noted though that Zaedans expression seemed slightly different, it was incredibly miniscule, the way he was looking at the woman. He couldn't tell if it was just the dim lightly, but did he look annoyed? He watched her touch him and shivered slightly, looking away again. He hated being around people like that, they made him horribly anxious. He was relived that Zaedan was her focus, but immediately felt guilty for thinking it.

But before he could wallow in his own self disgust another customer came up to his section. He smiled, noting it was a small group of women. He set about mixing their drinks, listening amicably to their chatter. He had to focus on himself, he had decided that he was going to be useful tonight After all. He nodded slightly to himself, he couldn't be distracted by his own insecurities, he didn't have time for it.

Zaeden was relieved when others distracted him from her attention, but he didn't want to chat with them either, so he just set about making more and more drinks. He didn't mind mixing drinks, he found he almost enjoyed it, but he wouldn't go that far to say that. But there was a certain ritual in them that he liked. And it was easy to quickly hand someone their drink then let them be on their way. Anther hour passed as the night reached a low point. He noticed that the were a little low on a beer that everyone seemed to keep ordering so he decided to go grab some from stock.

Before turning to the stock room he looked to Loki, feeling like he should still inform him of what he planned, seeing as it was only his second day. "Going to the stock room." His face was calmer now that the blonde had moved on to another target further in the room but she still kept waving at him every chance she got. He stepped past the employee doors and made his way. It only took him a minute to find the large box of beers he was looking for. He grabbed down the box and unloaded the top crate from inside and carried it back to the bar. Setting down the crate of clinking glass beer bottles he began putting them in the little fridge they had behind the bar.

It was this part of the job that he was actually coming to terms with. He would have preferred to do this all day instead of deal with other people, but at that thought he glanced back to Loki. If he had gotten a diferent job he wouldn't have met the younger male. He blinked at himself. Why should he care about that? Loki couldn't be any different from any other human. Even if they did become friend somehow, once Zaeden's unlovable nature made itself clear he was sure Loki would hate him like all the others. That thought almost made him...sad. He blinked at himself again.

Maybe he needed to go to an android specialist? He propped the empty crate against the wall and stood back at his station as he watched the people on the floor chatting among themselves. He could hear practically everyone's words, and it was over bearing to his ears, but he had gotten somewhat used to it.

The night had turned into a rather steady stream of customers, but that was almost preferable. If he kept busy then he could stay calm, and as long as he didn't get any difficult customers than he'd make it through the night easily. He smiled and chatted with some of the customers as they came and went, trying to look as though he enjoyed his job.

He heard Zaedan speak and glanced at him as he processed what he'd said, sorting out the others voice from the dozens in the room. After a moment he nodded with a grin before getting called back over by another customer. It seemed Zaedan had indeed picked up on things swiftly, he'd probably be fine without supervision by the end of the week.

He decided to be glad about that, he couldn't keep focusing on the fact that the other was better than him. Instead he should be looking at it as a new employee who was great at their job. The only fault the other seemed to have was his rather odd personality. But Loki knew that when he'd come here he'd been strange himself.

He'd been unable to smile or even look at people's faces. Their boss had been patient, even as Loki broke things and angered customers with his flighty personality. He would miss days of work at a time if he'd gotten yelled at by a customer, but his boss never once scolded him and never forced him to work if he wasn't up for it. Slowly he'd learned how to smile and laugh, how to chat with strangers and seem at ease. It had taken months, and he knew it was still faked, but it was an improvement.

He wondered if he'd ever be able to be naturally happy, smiling and laughing with others without forcing it. He thought on this as he noted Zaedan had returned. He felt a bit of warmth in his chest as he thought about how happy he'd been to receive the small tokens and smiled to himself. At least he was still able to feel such things, even if it was rare and fleeting.

Another hour or so passed, he wasn't really keeping track. He noted that every so often he'd see that woman who seemed infatuated with Zaedan, and his curiosity over her finally amounted to a want to ask. The opportunity presented itself when he had to go to Zaedans section to rummage through the shelves for a liquor he didn't have closer to him. Before he went back to his station he glanced at the blue haired male. "That woman likes you huh? Girlfriend?" He asked, trying to sound as pleasant as possible. He knew it didn't really matter who it was, but it was interesting to see someone who seemed to annoy the stoic other.

Zaeden preferred it when the night seemed to go by without a hitch, when the costumers ordered then left him alone, time seemed to pass faster that way. And being an unchanged android time passed very slowly to him, most days. periodically he moved a few things around getting them in a more functional spot as he worked and kept everything incredibly clean. When Loki had come closer to grab a few things his eyes watched him intently from the corner. Hearing the other speak he blinked and turned his head more towards him. Zaeden blinked again as though confused. "Girlfriend?" He paused a long minute and looked up at the ever hovering blonde women. She was surrounded by three men and chatting it up laughing. She looked over at him and waved sexily, the men she was will visibly became annoyed. Zaeden sighed and looked back at Loki.

"Never." he spoke the word with meaning and determination. He'd never sleep with a women like that again, nor would he ever be able to even get close to a women like that. And though the concept of dating was still very foreign to him, he would never choose someone shallow like that. That only saw him for what he could give them and then drop him for what he could not. Of course, he had never actually thought about what sort of person he'd be willing to date if ever the chance came up, but somehow he found his eyes falling once more onto Loki's caramel colored hair.

why was this man besides him such an anomaly to him? Why was he so curious? He looked at Loki's arms that were probably trying to carry too much all at once. "Do you need help with those?" He offered his assistance. The flow had slowed just a bit more still and so he had time to help if Loki even needed it.

((sorry its a little short, my brain is like *alcjdnvabguiahsndkvl* right now XD))

He tilted his head as the other blinked at him. Had he caught the male off guard with that question? He glanced in time at the woman and noticed how flirty she was and cringed. Yeah, he definitely disliked people like her. He looked back to the other as he spoke and c ouldnt help but laugh. Somehow he felt a bit relived, but chalked it up to being happy that Zaedan also didn't like woman like that.

He felt the other looking at him and so returned it, scanning his eyes swiftly over the others face before blinking and smiling slightly. "No surprise I guess, people would be drawn to someone like you." He said. Maybe because he didn't think about such things, but he had only just now really looked over the other. The way he wore his hair today, his eyes, face, body. Zaedan was certainly handsome.

Maybe he hasn't noticed because Loki had never considered things like that. He had never questioned his own sexuality one way or the other, and had never once thought he could date someone. After all he couldn't stand physical contact, so what point would there be? Who would be patient enough to deal with that? He knew the answer though. No one.

He was about to go back to his station when the other offered help. He looked to the bottles in his hands before glancing to make sure no customers were waiting on the other before smiling gratefully. He placed a few bottles on the counter for the other to bring along. "Yeah, thanks." He replied. He often tried to do too much on his own, but it was easier to avoid contact that way. "Did you do anything fun after work this morning?" He asked, just making idle chatter. The other had left so abruptly earlier that perhaps he'd been in a rush.

Zaeden's eyebrow actually raised at the comment Loki had made, he wasn't at all sure what he meant. 'like him?' Most of the time when he had heard that phrase it was a bad thing, they were referring to all of his bad traits. But he got the feeling that that wasn't how Loki had meant it. He decided to not think much on it since he wouldn't be able to understand it anyway.

Grabbing the bottles from the counter he fallowed Loki to where they need to be, though it wasn't that long of a walk in retrospect at all, if felt nice to be doing something that was more than just making drinks. He wasn't sure how to respond to Loki's next question. Technically something fun would mean he had things he enjoyed, and right now that wasn't really the case, although he did find himself wanting to see that smile again from Loki, but even he knew that wasn't something one should say out loud.

"I rebooted." He settled on the truth, whether it was 'fun' or not. Though it may look like he was sleeping every time he had to reboot his system, it was a complete shut down of all sensories, so it wasn't as if he dreamed or anything like that. Zaeden had never had a dream in his life, and he assumed none of the other androids did either. He had never been close enough friends with one to ask before. "Wouldn't call it fun." He added, finding that he didn't mind talking a little more than he was used to when speaking with Loki. Loki didn't question why he spoke so oddly - or so he had been told- And that was nice.

"Did you?" Zaeden returned the question placing the bottles he carried where they needed to go and readied to put the others back too, but he knew Loki wouldn't hand them direct so he didn't exactly hold out his hands. It was more like he held out his hand to an empty spot on the counter, waiting for Loki to slide it into his hand or something.

He noted the others slight change in expression and was a bit surprised. So the other actually could have normal expressions it seemed. Was he intentionally like this then? He waited patiently for the others answer and tilted his head slightly at it. He had a generally understanding of what that meant and wondered idly if androids had to reboot every night like humans had to sleep.

He nodded at the other when he said he didn't considering fun. Loki didn't much enjoy sleeping usually, so he could understand that he supposed. When asked about himself he paused a moment, watching the other put things away. Finally he shrugged lightly. "Not really, just went upstairs and listened to music and worked on a hat." While he found these things enjoyable it wasn't really fun in the general sense.

When the other reached out his hand he smiled slightly, passing the bottles while avoiding his fingers. "Thanks by the way." He said softly as he passed the last one. He glanced away, scratching his upper arm where his scars lay. "Most people find that kind of annoying." He made a motion with his hand to articulate his aversion to contact. It usually served as an annoyance for co workers and customers alike, but it seemed Zaedan had accepted and become accustomed to this oddity.

Zaeden looked down at Loki while his arm reached high unintentionally showing the tight movement of 'muscle' in his arm, that beneath the fake skin lay only machinery. Incredible machinery that had advance far and would keep going. He wondered briefly what sort of hat Loki was making, and then instantly thought he'd like to see it. Though inwardly he questioned himself yet again.

He paused as he put up the last bottle and looked at Loki watching his arm scratch at himself. He processed his word and after a moment understood what he meant. "Most people find me annoying." Zaeden said flatly, this was as close to joking as he ever got, but he was also serious. It didn't bother him that Loki had a few quirks, that he didn't want to be touched. He assumed Loki had his reasons and he wasn't about to ask about them. Just as Zaeden had his malfunctions, and how Loki hadn't asked about his odd way of speaking. Perhaps this was why he seem so curious about the human, he seemed different in a way, and maybe not the way Loki himself might feel.

Zaeden wouldn't have minded to stand and chat for a minute more, and that was saying something coming from him, but he heard someone approaching the counter and turned to go attend to them. Only to find it was the blonde women again, but now she was very drunk. Zaeden nearly rolled his eyes, but his gaze was steely and cold.

"Ooo~ that face of yours is so sexy!" she awed at him as she leaned against the counter. The main male who had taken interest in her was at her side.

"Courtney, just forget him, baby, you have me!" He tired desperately to get her to come back to him. But she reached out a hand to Zaeden and pouted.

"But I just want a taste!" Her hand reached to pull on his vest. "Give me a taste!"

Even if she was drunk, Zaeden had had enough. His brow visibly furrowed as his eyes seemed to darken. "Remove your hand." His voice was low and rumbled with anger. Why couldn't she just leave well enough alone? He didn't want that life anymore! He didn't want to be some human's play thing. He may be incapable of love, but he could feel rage just fine and he wasn't about to hide it. He didn't know how anyway. Her face froze and she stared at him shocked for a minute before letting her hand drop.

"Woah asshole! Where do you come off talking to a women like that?!" the man wrapped his arm around the now crying blonde women, who was obviously way too drunk. "I'll get you fucking fired for that!" The man threatened and walked away.

Zaeden felt hot all over, his rage was building and he had no way of stopping it. His hands began to shake so he quickly turned from the bar without a word and left through the employee exit into the hall. His long legs stormed him off a few feet until he stopped and leaned against the wall with his shoulders staring down at his shaking hands.

He was no stranger to rage, but this felt different. He was actually feeling....feelings. Mostly his past rage just felt like intense annoyance, but with this he could feel something coursing through him that begged to lash out. What was wrong with him? Did other androids feel like this? First it was curiosity, and maybe even concern towards a human. Now it was this uncontrollable rage? What was happening to him? He could only stare at his hands that shook while his eyebrows furrowed still in a glare.

He watched the other with curious eyes, he had always marveled at how human like the androids were, and yet they weren't a living thing, at least in a sense. It was almost like magic that humans could have created such a thing. But yet then there were humans like him who could hardly even function, how fair was That?

He blinked at the others statement and tilted his head slightly, his expression serious for a moment as he couldn't decide if it was a joke or not. Finally though he grinned. "The people who find you annoying are probably assholes." He finally retorted lightly, giving a shrug and a chuckle. He wasn't good at joking around with others, so he decided to go with something that he felt was true, but say it in a playful manor.

He was enjoying talking to the other when he noted the woman was back. He watched the exchange a bit anxiously, ensuring he was far away from the counter. He served a couple other customers that had approached the bar but once that was done he focused back on them slightly. He noted that Zaedan seemed agitated, and this was confirmed at the males outburst. Loki flinched slightly, not having expected that from the otherwise almost emotionless male.

He watched the exchange anxiously, worried that a fight might start, but was glad when instead the customers walked off. He then watched Zaedan storm off and let out a low shallow breath of relief. He noted that Angie was staring and he waved a hand to her with a slight smile signaling that things were alright.

He walked over to a tablet behind the counter and opened up a chat to his boss, sending a quick synopsis to him to which he got a quick response. He knew that Zaedan wouldn't be held at fault, customers were supposed to keep their hands off, so it was the woman's fault for trying to be so familiar. He then sent a message to a group including the servers on the floor and Angie, telling them to cut the woman off for the night, and to ask them to leave if they caused more issues.

He then sent a last one to Angie before exiting through the employee exit. He noted Zaedan quickly and approached him cautiously, stopping a few feet away. He felt a bit nervous getting close to someone who was so obviously angry, and he couldn't help a slight shiver as he clutched his arm.

"Hey." He offered, smiling as best he could. "Don't let them bother you, I already gave our boss a heads up and he's on your side." He wasn't good at calming others, and want even sure that this was what the other wanted to hear. He shifted to his other foot awkwardly, glancing away. "You ok?" He finally asked, maybe that should have been the first he said.

Zaeden kept his eyes glaring at his hands. Why was he feeling so out of control? Why was he even feeling? He leaned his head against the wall and balled up his fist. He needed to sort himself out, first thing after this shift he was going to find him an expert and figure out what was wrong inside of him.

His sharp hearing picked up Loki's foot steps. He knew his ears were perfect enough to pick up anyone within a certain radius, but how had he known it was Loki? Did he pay more attention to him then he was conscious of? He looked over at the younger man who was now the one giving him space, Zaeden noticed the same tick as he grabbed his arm nervously. His angry expression relaxed back into placidness. Once again Loki was making him respond in ways he was unsure of. But maybe it was just because he could see fear in Loki's eyes, and he didn't like that. For what ever reason he wanted to only see Loki smile at him.

Instantly his hands stopped shaking and he dropped to his sides but he still kept his back to Loki. He felt somewhat..ashamed, that he had reacted in such a way. Normally he was more composed, well normally he didn't feel a damn thing. So why now?

"I'm not just some toy." He said, his voice low and once again monotone. He wasn't necessarily speaking directly to Loki, just speaking to the air knowing he would listen. Too many years he had gone feeling like he was only good for one thing. He understood that he was a machine made by man, but he had a conscience too. So didn't that at least mean he had a soul.. somewhere inside him? Or was he just scrap metal? Zaeden had no idea someone standing close to him might be the only person to ever understand how he was feeling.

"I apologize." He finally turned around and looked as 'normal' as he could, his face back to unreadable. He bowed low and said nothing else. It was obvious he had caused at least a little trouble, and he knew that it could have cost him his job, because well it had in the past. For a long minute he didn't straighten, his blue hair flopped a little at the bowing motion and when he did finally stand properly many stray strands now hung in his eyes. HIs grey eyes looked over Loki, wondering if now the human would fear him. He'd hate himself if that happened.

He noticed the other seemingly calm, his posture relaxing slightly and his expression shifting back to its normal state. He relaxed himself slightly as well, he hadn't expected this person to lash out at him, but instinctively his body had prepared for it. Now though he felt the same sense of calm that he generally did with the other, though he didn't approach the male any further.

When the other spoke Lokis eyes widened slightly in mild surprise. But after a moment he looked away, unsure that such an expression was the one he should be showing the other. He was silent as the other turned to him and bowed. He stared softly at the person before him, sorting through his thoughts as quickly as he could. He wanted to offer comfort but was unable to and so he stood frozen, watching the other straighten.

His blue eyes scanned the males grey ones for a long moment, his expression mirroring the others. His hand loosened on his arm but still rested there, the scars beneath felt as though they had caught fire but he ignored it. Finally he gave the male a gentle smile, his eyes sullen. "You're right, you're not a toy." He said finally, the words heavy. He couldn't understand if the other meant it in the same way, but Loki had once felt like a plaything and he remembered how achingly he he waited for someone to tell him he wasn't.

His chest ached, but his smile remained, along with that look in his eyes as he finally pulled them from the others face. "No need to apologize, especially for something like that." He said shaking his head slightly. He finally laughed, though it was a bit forced. "At least all you did was tell her off, Angie has decked a few guys for touching her." He said, trying to lighten the situation, and trying to ignore his own thoughts.

Zaeden wasn't sure if Loki was afraid of him or not. He didn't seem to be as tense any more, but so far he had noticed that Loki was rather good at faking emotions. So what if he was faking now? They're chance at friendship would be lost forever. But when he smiled Zaeden inwardly relaxed a little. Though the smile was a sad one, it didn't look as fake as his others. However he preferred the smile he had first seen when giving him the muffin and tea, he knew not how to express that though.

He hadn't had expected him to agree with him, he hadn't even thought that maybe Loki understood the feeling. But his voice and posture gave hint that he was thinking of something that made him sad. At least that is how Zaeden perceived it. Then as their locked gaze was broken as Loki looked away, something inside Zaeden wanted to call out to make Loki look at him again. As Loki forced a laugh, Zaeden felt like cringing, though his expression didn't change. He didn't want Loki to have to force anything around him, but why was he thinking like that?

"I'm too strong." Zaeden lifted up a hand and looked at his open palm. In the past he had lashed out violently, not directly to another person, but with objects around him, and that had caused more damage then he could afford to fix. At least he had had enough control over himself to not do that again. He didn't want to loose this job, not when he just started. So maybe in a way Zaeden was a bit of a pacifist, he tried to avoid violence because if he knew he ever lost it enough to hit anyone he was strong enough to kill them.

He still hadn't quite grasped the concept of joking, even if he had to fake it. So most of the time when he spoke he was 100% serious, for some people this made him difficult to be around. But he was indescribably please that Loki never seemed to care about his odd ways. Maybe this was why he was so interested in the younger man. Still, it was werid that until he hadn't cared about anyone, nor showed interest in anything. Why now? Was it all coincidence or was Loki something special?

He blinked at the others response before chuckling softly. "That's true, it would be a problem if you hit someone." He couldn't help but find the other amusing. Had he said it to be funny? Or was he just stating the obvious? Either way the other was odd, but it didn t bother him in the least. If anything it reaffirmed that he wasn't the only odd one In the world.

He finally released his arm, both hands down by his sides. The burning feeling remained but it wasn't painful enough to bother him, it took quite a bit of pain to alter his expression. "Anyways I should probably go back." He said, smiling to the other. It was more out of politeness, it being difficult for him to smile out of happiness often. "If you want to take a break, or even head home you can. We should be fine." He didn't want the other to feel forced back to work if he didn't feel up to it.

Loki himself wasn't a stranger to missing work after an incident, either taking the night off or at times staying locked up at home for days at a time. He doubted the other would be horribly impaired by tonight's event, but he figured he'd offer what he could. He turned on his heel to head back in, hoping Angie hadn't had too many customers pile up while he'd been gone.

Zaeden hesitated a moment as he watched Loki walk away. Could he leave? Its not like the incident would stop him from working, but he did want to get himself inspected for error. But he could do that later. After a moment he fallowed after Loki and back into the bar. The customer pile up was intense and poor Angie hadn't enough hands to deal with it all, neither did Loki. Immediately he made his way over to his station and began going about work like nothing had ever changed. When it really hadn't. He had a moment of weakness and that was it.

After a while things settled down, Zaeden kept eyeing Loki hoping he hadn't ruined what ever chances at actually learning what friendship might be. But before he could get the chance to strike up a conversation -though he wouldn't have known what to say anyway, Angie came over.

"You alright?" She asked, true concern on her face. He looked at her and nodded.

"I apologize for my behavior." He bowed his head slightly though not like he had to Loki. She smiled and waved her hands in rejection to his apology.

"No, no. Its alright. Everyone has bad days." She smiled and glanced at Loki for a moment but said nothing else. She then turned, her skirt flipping slightly with the movement and someone whistled at her. Angie made her way to the costumer and Zaeden no longer paid attention to her.

He passed another glance to Loki and wanted to talk but had no clue what to say. What did people talk about? What did friends say to each other? What would even be considered a friend? He had no clue to any of it.

When he reentered the bar he paused for a moment in surprise at the amount of people. Quickly he returned to his station and started taking orders moving quickly and efficiently. He glanced up at one point and realized Zaedan had indeed followed him back in and he smiled slightly. But for the moment he had to focus on his work, his eyes calm.

He noted Angie speaking with Zaedan and watched the male gave her a slight bow. He laughed slightly, the male was strict on himself it seemed. But Angie also seemed to dismiss it, and soon she returned to work as well. Loki soon finished with his customers and sighed in relive, leaning heavily against the ledge bellow the shelving. He took a few moments to decompress before glancing back up again.

Was Zaedan looking at him? The moment the thought passed the other was looking away again it seemed. Loki blinked, maybe he was imagining it. But he was also concerned that the blue haired male was still worrying over what had happened and so Loki walked over and smiled to him once there was a lull in customers. "Doing alright?" He asked gently. "Do you have plans for after work? Something to take your mind off things?" He wasn't sure what sorts of things he should say or ask, so he went with the first thing that had come to mind.

He was a bit nervous, would the other think he was prying? Or maybe he was already over the whole incident and Loki was just misunderstanding the other. That wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, Loki wasn't the best at reading others, and Zaedan was probably the hardest to read of all. But he could only offer this much, and so he decided to.

Zaeden looked to Loki as he approached as his hands reorganized some of the things around his area. After work? Well he did want to do something, but it wasn't going to really take his mind off of what was clouding his better judgement. Maybe he really was malfunctioning? Maybe his faulty creation was finally wearing down and he was becoming broken. There was a dark thought. But he just looked at Loki for a moment unsure of what should be said or not. "Not really." Was his reply as his hands stayed idle on the counter. "Do you?" The question left his mouth and he was surprised at himself.

He wondered what the man did for fun. He did recall that he had said he was making a hat, but Zaeden hadn't truly understood what he meant. His impression was that all clothes were made in factories, kind of like how he was, and that that was it. But the image of Loki having a small factory machine didn't seem right in his mind. Part of him wondered if maybe Loki would like to show him, but with his aversion to touching Zaeden doubted he would allow others in his personal space.

He fidgeted slightly under the others stare, he noticed that sometimes the male really did just look at him. Maybe he just didn't see a reason not to during discussion, maybe it was just how he behaved. But for Loki it could be a bit unnerving. He smiled at the others answer, so he didn't do much after work either it seemed.

He paused at the males question and thought about it for a few minutes, looking around the bar. It seemed that fewer people were entering now, though occasionally some left. The evening would be winding down in the next couple hours. "Hmm... not really. I don't go out much." He almost admitted to never going out, but decided he didn't want to come off as a complete shut in. "I'll probably finish the hat tonight, maybe start something else... or go online..." He spoke softly, a bit embarrassed by his own hobbies.

He fiddled with the hem of his work shirt for a moment, suddenly self conscious. It wasn't that the others didn t know what he did in his spare time, in fact most of his coworkers knew his daily life routines to a point since he had so few of them. But often it came with a bit of teasing, he was a shut in, and also took to more feminine and out dated hobbies. But finally he just turned a light grin back to the other, laughing softly. "I'm actually kinda surprised that you don't go out after work." He admitted.
