Hello lovelies! It seems these things start with an obligatory 'about me' section. I'm dipping my toe back into this, so in keeping with the fashion...

  • I've been roleplaying like this for a while but it has also been a while since that while. I may be rusty. Be gentle.
  • I am an adult with a full time job and I'm a (kick-ass) single mom. These things take priority so I may not be the quickest on the draw but I do pinkie-promise to a) post at least once a week or b) let you know that I am a slacking slacker from slackersville with an estimated time of when I will get my shiz together.
  • Sometimes things flow in the direction of sauciness. 18+ folks, please.
  • I like my posts with some heft to them. Let's not go bananas but a paragraph or three of deliciously grammatical wordsmithing is preferable unless the scene at hand is fairly fast-paced. I don't get bent out of shape about typos but if something makes me giggle expect some good-natured ribbing.
  • I don't know how to do the fancy coding like you dang kids yet. What you see is what you get.

Things I enjoy:
  • Communication! Message me, plot with me, tell me an idea is dumb, or something makes you uncomfortable, or that you have to shovel snails off your walk and can't respond for a bit. I won't call you a mollusk-scooping ninny, I swear.
  • Bulleted lists, apparently!
  • Ridiculous things! Have a silly plot you've been dying to try? LET'S DO IT.
  • Cursing! If you're not into that I can try to apply my MomFilter. I also tend not to shy away from dark subject matter (blood, gore, violence, mind-rending horror)
  • Romance-sprinkles. Om nom nom.
  • Being female! Both in my real life and in my characters. I don't mind being a dude per se, but being female is hella awesome (except for the soul crushing double standards, sexism, and rampant rape culture... waitaminnit...)

Some pairings that tickle my fancy:

Deity X Human
Deity X Deity
Human X Alien
Human X Android
Some settings that tantalize:

Fantasy
Modern Fantasy
Sci-fi
Post-Apocalypse
Steampunk / Alternate History
Slice of Life
Cravings/Plots:

  • It was just another Thursday afternoon coffee run for the office when Muse A heard the CFO's ringtone. Between juggling the flimsy recycled cardboard drink carrier, trying to dig their phone from the overfull messenger bag, and dealing with the crush of the other pedestrians on the crosswalk, they just weren't paying attention when the crowd began to scatter and the car sped through the red light... Upon waking they are greeted by Muse B, their After Life Orientation Specialist in charge of acclimating the newly-departed to a world totally unlike their own except in all the ways that it's exactly like their own. Obtaining housing, getting hired, and navigating the etiquette required to not piss off your (literally) monstrous new neighbors, your ALOS is there to help!
  • Twenty-seven years ago first contact was made and the world as humanity had always known it came to an abrupt end. The war to repel the alien presence ended fifty-two hours after it began and the message was clear: "We outgun you, we will overtake you, and we're going to be nice about it." A program was instituted in order to acclimatize humanity to the idea of intelligent life beyond their planet as well as integration of the Pioneers to the pale blue dot. At this point, all that is history and the programs are well in place, but humanity's capacity for holding a grudge despite the peace and prosperity the coming of the Pioneers has brought is great and tribalistic sentiments often simmer just below the surface. Muse A was a child when contact was made and has just been chosen by lottery for the exchange program... will hatred grow, or a new appreciation for Muse B's culture?
  • When the dreams we have are so vivid that sensation lingers after waking, who's to say what's real or not? What happens when those lines begin to blur and the surreal landscapes of our mind make more sense than the geometry of our waking world? The characters that populate these somnolent musings seem entirely separate from ourselves, beings of their own volition that in brushing them we ache to know them and hate to part... what happens when we choose not to?
That's about all that's rattling around in there for now, but if I tilt my head and another doodad falls out, I'll update. I'm looking forward to playing!
