Sabrina was raised by a pair of health nuts, both of whom were excessively fond of the Martial Arts. Growing up around these two adventurous people caused Sabrina to develop a taste for adventure and personal improvement. Of course, her love of Duel Monsters came from a similar vein. Her brother was always looking for other things to occupy his time, and one day he came home with a duel monsters deck. After a brief period of study, Sabrina learned the rules, and begged her parents to help her get a deck for herself. It took a few months, but she finally convinced them to help get her started. When he began playing her brother was delighted, though, she never seemed to grasp it quite as well as he did. There were times of frustration, and times of pity, and that was just not something she could endure.

Eventually, she stopped playing, only to resume the game again a couple of years later when she learned of Duel Academy, a place where she could eventually challenge and hopefully surpass her brother. In the mean time, she enjoys her studies, learning to better play the game while also continuing to develop her life skills. Her passions, aside from Duel Monsters, she tends to keep to herself.

Brief Bio: He was told to protect his little sister. That remains his strongest memory from the time of Yulice's infancy, though Xavier was barely more than a toddler himself. Growing up became tough for him, as he found comfort primarily in excursions such as games and anime second only to helping his little sister, even as she got more and more tired and impatient with him as he aged. -Granted by the Millennium Key: Its primary unique ability is the power to unlock the doors of a person's soul, giving the user access to the "Room of the Soul," where their thoughts can be observed, or the "room" can even be "redecorated", allowing the user to alter a person's personality. The brainwashing process can be undone when the victim touches the Key. Also, the controller can manipulate and destroy the personality. Additionally, it can allow the user make himself/herself (and others) invisible to physical sight, and allows them to sense any disruption of the Millennium Items' mystical energies that would be caused by an item being taken from its rightful owner. The owner of this item may also force images, scenes, or visions into the minds of others, as well as communicate telepathically with others. Introduced to Duel Monsters by his father, Alec developed a love for the game and began seeing Duel Spirits soon after. While he has some idea of what the Millennium Key is capable of and its origins, he has little idea of how to use even a fraction of its power.

Brief Bio: Anubeon's father was a scholar and scribe serving the priesthood of Osiris, while his mother was a priestess of Anubis. As her mother was expected to be barren, she named Anubeon after her patron as a sign of worship and thanks, becoming an acolyte of that order as many Millennium Priests would be. Since the family had weight enough to be on good terms with Amenhotep III, Tutankhamun and Anubeon were destined to meet as Anubeon was an acolyte who praticed the worship of Anubis in secret before becoming a Millennium Priest, furthermore given the responsibility of wielding the Millennium Key. As an Acolyte of Anubis, Anubeon took part in embalming Tutankhamun and preparing his mummy for burial.

Abilities: Millennium Ring: Though Yulice is unaware of its capabilities, and thus incapable of using the strange trinket she's in possession of, the Ring is capable of acting as a guide to its holder's desires. A certain amount of will is required, but the Ring's pointer has no limits in its direction once that will to find something is achieved as long as that item exists in the three dimensional plane.

The Ring also has the ability to contain parts of the user's soul into other objects to be called upon later, the separated pieces acting of extensions of the user's will. There is also a sense of wickedness about the Ring: Yulice doesn't often carry it with her, yet in tends to find its way into her bag regardless, and she's found herself having periods of the day where she's completely forgotten what happened...

Brief Bio: Despite a shockingly normal upbringing, her oddity of a brother (resident gamer and anime otaku) watched her all too closely. He was practically like a third parent to her, making her lunches and helping her with homework, letting her get away with random things and doting on her in odd ways, like pushing the strange gold ring they found in their uncle's storage shed on her (though she insists it's creepy and gaudy, while he sneakily tries to get her to wear it), but their biggest connection was in shared interests, particularly games. Yulice would also take pride in being better than her brother in most games, but the biggest exception was Duel Monsters, even though she could see the Duel Spirit that followed her while he could not. It drove her as she strove to improve, even applying to the Duel Academy in hopes of following him through it. But ultimately, it didn't pan out, as while he's supposed to be in his final year, he's on the border of dropping out, his sudden change something a bit of a mystery to Yulice. Though her interest in the Academy is waning with his, Yulice has little choice but to continue along, not realizing how his absence will affect her term.

Brief Bio: Kani was born to a family of jewelers and goldsmiths, an honored profession, but she had loftier heights in mind, being allowed to train in the rites of worship as a Priestess to the Egyptian goddess of justice and truth. Though the studies of priesthood were largely uneventful, the lack of power she had in her youth proved to be a problem as she became invested in her family's struggles. One of the contracts, a nobleman in the court of the Pharoh, High Priest of Geb, and enthusiast of jewels and tresure, was grow more and more dissatisfied with their work. His high expectations drove the pride of her family into a death spiral as they desperately tried to please the unpleaseable. After countless failures to meet his standards, the noble made an absurd claim: were they to forge a piece of jewelry, he said he would be able to appraise it without even laying eyes on it, insisting they place their next work in a box so that he might prove his claim. But while her family worked, she concocted a plan, as he had one prized piece of jewelry that remained as the bar for his expectations. She made a shoddy replica, before slipping into the noble's abode the night before the deadline, using her status to walk about the city without suspicion, taking the prize and slipping it into the box, accidentally poking herself on one of the extremities. The next day, the noble made his appraisal, shaking about the box, proclaiming the contents as substandard, before opening it to discover his golden Millennium Ring. Humiliated at having been tricked into calling his most valued possession 'unfit for his collections' and revealing his bias, he exercised his power, threatening the family before Kani stepped forward, taking blame for the theft. She believed that justice had been done in revealing the noble Priest's foolery, but the opposite effect was achieved, as she was criminalized, having instead been seen as going beyond her position in stealing such a treasured artifact, and was punished fully despite her position of Priestess. She would later die, 5 years into a 15 year prison sentence, the hate filled words on her lips like a curse against that nobleman and all those in the Pharaoh's court and clergy who heard the tale yet still let the injustice stand...

Brief Bio: In Virgil's past life he was known as Simontu and was born dirt poor. This lead him down the path of a being a bandit. He was thieving from everyone he could, merchants, travelers, and any other unlucky fools who cross his path. One day he spotted a priest and foolishly tried to rob him. He was caught before he could even do such a thing it seemed the priest knew his every thought. The Priest took pity on the young(13) Simontu and was taken on as his disciple instead of losing a hand.

Simontu was reluctant of learning the ways of the priesthood. He came around as he got more in depth with his teachings. He soon learned of the power that his teacher and other priests like him were entrusted with, The Millennium items. Once his Teacher past away, Simontu was entrusted with his position and his Millennium Eye. In this time Simontu had changed much and was a man who gave to the poor and others instead of stealing. He was seen as a kind and giving old priest.
One day he came across an adolescent thief who tried to rob him in the market. This child reminded him of himself and he invited the child to stay the night in his home and enjoy a meal with his family. This was a common thing he did, but this night went terribly wrong. He and his family were killed that night and his Millennium Eye stolen. Simontu was a fool and it cost him everything. He was to kind and trust, refusing to use his Millennium Eye to invade other privacy. If he was to ever to live again he would not put his trust in lighty as he did before.

Brief Bio:
Born to an American father and a Japanese mother alongside is older brother, Kaito, Anthony was raised his entire life in Japan and is fluent in both his parents languages. As his parents were both Medical Scientists and Engineers it was safe to say Anthony was well off in his life but never flaunted his wealth, in fact the young man outside of the studies and classes his family would make him take on top of his normal curriculum, Anthony enjoyed many of the same benefits as any middle class family would. Even getting his own part time job as he grew older to get a taste of his life ahead. In his free time with his family normally always busy and the only kind of talks around his home would be about his parents future plans for Anthony in the medical field which he truly felt little interest in. His really escape and interests laid within the tales of the past when he was younger from mythical creatures and myths such as the Greek and Egyptian Pantheons to tales or asian deities and dragons. As he reached his teenage years Anthony quickly was introduced to Duel Monsters by his older brother and put his love and fascination of the great flying beasts into his first deck which he built upon ever since. It took him a bit to fully adapt his deck and give it the appropriate cards and balance before he soon was the top duelist of his group of friends and soon even in his local annual event that would take place. While Kaito originally brought him into the game he himself was much more interested in pursuing the dreams their parents had set for them and simply lost time to be a committed duelist. Before Kaito went to University he was highly supportive of Anthony's passion and gave him both his first copy of The First of the Dragons and Light and Darkness Dragon. Telling Anthony that if this was what really pushed and inspired his little brother then he should keep on his path and told him about the Dueling Academy. Ever since it was Anthony's goal to become a successful duelist and reach Obelisk Blue as well as surround himself with friends and others that truly loved the game as much as he did. As for the Millennium Scale it was a gift from his mother before she passed away due to illness and he was told very little about it or what it was capable as only his mother was able to explain it as a very important item he needed to keep safe and that she meant to tell him more about it over the years.

For some inexplicable reason he felt an inherent aversion to it, only playing the popular game when his aunt finally convinced him to give it a try. That happened five months ago. Four months after that he found the Rod washed ashore on a beach. While he would normally hand over something that belonged more in a museum, he felt a strange connection to it and kept it. It's held in his inner jacket pocket and it is wrapped in a black cloth.
