What Lurks Beneath the Sky

((It's Just that i dont want to leave a rather story-vital character TOO far behind. I've sent PMs and such without hide nor hair of a reply. Probably a bit busy. Sad-y face :( ))

(I understand. Things like that can get very irritating.)

((shes only vital cause u want to screw her viper :P))

Veela had been silent, mainly because she was still too tired to speak much, though observing and making small notes of the people around her helped her to see what they should do next. "Flight is the best option. Though we're a powerful bunch, and with this addition of a mage who specializes in just air, we can get out of here rather easily." Veela turned to Asura. "I'm sorry if I worried you at all by not speaking, and hiding for the fight, but I'm so damned tired, and we got dragged out of the room so fast that I hadn't had the chance to completely wake up." Veela hugged Asura. "I'm glad you're fine though, I do know you'd win at any cost."

Veela then turned to look at the new addition to the warehouse. "So Zaresh, is it? What are you doing here in the first place? You couldn't tell from the noise earlier that there were occupants in here?"

((Sorry for the long time no post guys. I got incredibly busy with work and packing to move, but I will be posting more often again. The packing is done, and I move on the 1st.))

"Oh," Zaresh started, "I haven't been here for more than a few hours you see. I ran into some hunters a few blocks away and ran over the rooftops until I thought it was safe enough." He turned to look at the door that had just opened. They wouldn't be dead if they had just given up the chase. How pointless. "And just who are you?"

"Veela. I'm skilled with fire, and have a bit of knowledge of air. Enough to keep me from dying in the rain when my fire abilities are unusable." Veela walked over to Asura, putting her head on his shoulder. "I've been around for a few days so far. Met Asura and Andy and we've just been making sure nothing happens to each other since." Veela looked at Zaresh. "Do you not have any companions?"

A familar woman, at least to a few of them, walked into the warehouse, her clothing oddly dry in spite of the rather harsh and sudden downpour. The bodies of a couple of Hunters could be seen behind her, beaten and bloodied as though they had been caught in a hailstorm.

"What am I going to do with you lot?"

Andy smiled nervously. "Hey Zaresh, I'm Andy, a vampire." She turned to the rest of them. "Sorry for the trouble everyone, I should've made sure there was no one patrolling the area before coming in."

She laughed a little, "Though, we wouldn't have met someone new if I had stayed at the bar."

Andrea looked around at the small group. "Now what though? I'm sure more Magehunters will be sent into this area to find out what happened, we aren't safe around here anymore."

((Oh you so funny, demonatra! ;P))

"Then let's get moving!" said Asura. He grabbed Veela by the hand and led the group outside. "We need to move towards the outskirts of the city. Less Hunters means easier cooldown. What do you guys think? Besides I know a few people in the slums that can keep us covered on the way to the outskirts." Asura asked the group. He heard the heavy marching boots of an entire platoon of Hunters. He heard one of the radios that the now dead Hunters were carrying on the pavement static and respond. "Kscccchhhh Platoon 6560 responding to distress call in local quadrant Bravo Gamma 7 Warehouse Charlie Alpha. On our way. ETA: 10 mikes. Out. Kschhhh" Asura froze. He stomped on the radio. "No time to argue, people! Move! Move!" he shouted to the group as he led them sprinting down a series of narrow streets and alleys, away from the heavy bootsteps of the Hunters.

(I just realized I forgot to actually have Zaresh introduce himself. XD)

"You heard the man, time to fly!" Zaresh followed quickly after Asura, hastening his pace by conjuring wind at his back.

(I;m confused, so imma pop up next to Asura. :D)

Gregor transited to Asura with magic, appearing right beside him. "Get a move on, Asura, I can hold them off for long enough until you get to safety, got it. Don't ask questions, just go!" Gregor, ran towards the footsteps, turning into an alleyway and meeting face to face with a new hunter, a big hunter. Gregor flew backwards in defense, pulling his pistol and letting off hundreds of energy rounds at the fucker and as the dust cleared, Gregor winced, as the hunter was completely unharmed, and the hunter troops behind the behemoth laughed at him. Shit. Gregor spoke to Asura with a small energy mind speaking spell, and he spoke lightly, "Asura, if I don't make it, you have to save my brother..." with that, Gregor threw off his jacket to reveal his true form. Dark Armor encased his body, and his skin and hair went pale. He could feel the power surging throughout his body. "Time, to get serious..." he whispered to himself.

Andy starts to follow the other too, but turns back to Gregor, worried. "Hey, you should be careful," she tells him. She turns again and takes off.

Without having time to ask who Gregor's brother was, Asura sprinted away in obediance, Veela and the others in tow. The maze of alleys stretched on and on until they exited the mouth of a narrow street into a main road, crawiling with Hunter convoys. Asura manages to signal everyone to get down and stay in the shadows as dawn crept over the horizon, just sneaking through the thick layer of smog covering the city. Trucks full of Hunter Patrolsman thundered along the road. There must have been about ten or so trucks, escorted by a foot patrol. of at least three hundred men. "What the hell? I've never seen so damn many of them before..." whispered Asura. "They seem awfuly pissed off about something to have that many troops reqisitioned at once..."

"Yeah, I think we should head to the rooftops. I know of a roof access from one of the buildings around here. The only entrance is through the back and it looks like they won't be touching the alleys yet." Veela was as close behind Asura as you could possibly get. "Would you like me to lead the way?" The building was rather close by. It was easy to get to from where they were, in the shadows.

[[Should I post as if Victor passed out or something, maybe? >>;]]

((I'll get onto corrupt and get him to post something up sooner or later. ;) have faith in me lol ))

((I'm starting my first uni classes tomorrow so i won't be reliable for posts so i'll just disappear and when i get a chance drop back in))
Grant caught up with the group. "You ladies and gents having fun?" Grant shouted over the clamor of hunter. "You guys stay safe. You may not be ready to fight yet but before long you'll either be dead or following me. This is just the start" Grant concentrated on summoning a doorway into the building beside him the pain clearly showing on his face. "I have some... 'errands' to run... When you're ready... ask about 'The Hunted'... Ask enough questions and... we'll find you." With that Grant stepped through the dark doorway and disappeared as it snapped close behind him.

Andy followed behind the others silently, merely nodding in agreement to Veela's suggestion. Finally, after a while, she spoke up. "With allthe hunters out... We may need to fight, and kill, whether we like it or not." Andrea's eyes clouded. "I know... Earlier I didn't hesitate to kill, but now... I don't know. I feel tired..."

She trailed off on her thoughts, her mind clouding as she looked off to something unseen by anyone but her.
