Xugar felt tempted to follow the human to keep the threat of his flail firmly pressed against his back as he spoke, especially since he noticed his knuckles whiten as he tightened his grip on the wounded chief, but abstained from doing so, He wanted him alive, so I guess threatening him with death would be pointless. He let the ball of his flail fall out of his hands and dangle dangerously around him before safely arriving to a stop. He stared at the back of the humans head as he meandered through the clearing the orcs made around him. They all had there weapons lowered, and were looking gleefully at each other. Some among the crowd had even begun small chit-chat. Xugar returned the look, knowing that Ogrul could easily smash this little pest if he so chose. While looking at the orcs he noticed each of their gazes grow sullen, as they all stared back at the boy's face, I'm sure I could just smack him over the head and be done with it. I doubt Ogrul would mind too much... His thoughts were interrupted when the human began his speech. Instead of watching him, Xugar kept his eyes on the orcs, taking note of the sudden change of body language that resulted from the human. He was shocked at how much of what he said resonated within his own mind, "Yeah why isn't he out battling? I've lost two good men in my squad today while he sat back and watched the preparations." He began thinking to himself as the human continued his speech. He was shocked as he turned to face him, and immediately raised his flail expecting an attack while they were all unaware. His startled expression deepened further, and he lowered his weapon as he watched the long sword fall to the ground. Xugar looked the human in the eye, then slowly around to the orcs. They seemed to be split on what to do. Some had raised there weapons and were looking at Ogrul with angered looks. Others stood confused, and only a handful held there weapons and faced the human. Xugar grinned, Now's my chance "Listen up men! I will talk to Ogrul personally, and try to undo these injustices! If he doesn't agree with our demands, he will face a trial that will most certainly lead to death right here in this very camp! We will make him pay-" Before he could finish his speech a large flame erupted from the center of the crowd of orcs both nodding and shaking there heads. The flame burnt twice as tall as any orc within the encampment, reaching high above the trees. Within the flames a figure began to emerge, a leather gauntlet stepping through the burning mass. Slowly the rest of the figure followed, as if he was walking through a portal from some ungodly place. The moment both of his feet stood in front of the crowd, the flames dispersed. The figure bore leather armor, and had his face partially covered with two red bandannas, so only his eyes were visible. Strapped to his hip were two large daggers.
He glared towards the human boy, then slowly moved his bottom bandanna down to reveal more of his clean shaven face, "You speak of things you know little about human." The smallest of Ogrul's elitist guards spat at him. The other orcs had found comfort in moving a good twenty feet away from the orc before them, "I am not biased towards Ogrul in the slightest, as I only serve our glorious commander who gave me orders to guard the sergeant, yet even I know more about the man than you do." he turned to the orcs, small embers still falling through the air from his entrance, "Ogrul is no coward. Within the royal palace I've heard tales of his heroic deeds throughout the land. He's destroyed armies, and has turned the tide of battle in places were death was inevitable. Perhaps if you were to look past the "Injustices" He's committed" He turned and glared at Xugar, "If that's what your calling simple orders, you would see what I see. He's not on the battlefield, because he is a target. Moments ago he was shot at under my protection, by none other than this little runt." He gestured towards the human, "Not even a fool would stand on a battlefield where everyone targets him. Besides, what armies send their leader fight an army? One that has no regard for leadership I'd say. Have you already forgotten the deeds he's done for you in battle? Who do you think would protect you if things went wrong? Who do you think would carry the wounded soldiers on his own back and still fight off the onslaught as you escaped? It's not like it hasn't happened before, I've heard the tales many men have told." With every word he mentioned, the loyal orcs eyes burned fiercer with passion, and the one's who'd been against Ogrul hung their heads in shame. "I could keep on going, but seen as how we have a battle ahead I think I should keep this short. You made a mistake dropping your weapon." He pulled the dagger from it's sheath on his belt, and began to slowly walk towards the human, "I'll do you a favor and cut out your lying tongue to send to your family. The rest can burn." He rose his other hand and began to mutter magical words. Within moments his free hand burned with fire.
"Wait!" Xugar jumped in front of the boy, pulling him back behind him, This could be my only chance to get rid of that beast and claim his position for my own. "He deserves to talk to Ogrul. I think I'm speaking on behalf of most here when I say that the boy at least deserves an audience with Ogrul before he dies, for his troubles." The orcs around him nodded their heads in agreement. The guard looked to him and paused for a moment. With a flash of his hand the fire extinguished and his dagger slid back into it's sheath, "Your a traitorous scum Xugar. But as long as you keep your position I must oblige. Enjoy it for now, because when Ogrul catches word, which he will by my mouth, you'll most certainly be exiled." The orc turned and disappeared into the crowd surrounding the scene. Xugar let out a breath of relief, "That was close." Without turning back to the boy he walked forwards and raised a hand over his shoulder, "Check him for any hidden weapons then escort him to the tent." Five orcs emerged from the crowd and began to perform there orders.
