Setting + Plot:
Six months after the breakout. All public utilities have died and there is no sign of any form of government/authority. It's June, 2015. Based in the emptier part of California.
A group of people managed to escape the chaos and survive up til now. Their safe haven is an abandoned oil refinery. They collect water, food and other supplies from more in town. But when the flow of zombies becomes heavier, will the group be able to handle it?

General Rules:
⇨ Iwaku rules apply.
⇨ When choosing a character, please choose one who is represented by a real or near-real person. [Anybody who is played by an actor. Or from a video game/animation e.g The Last of Us, since the characters are near-real.] Don't choose a character from an anime, it's hard for it to mix in. Don't choose like, Kirby or something. [If literally everyone is against this rule I'll consider changing it but mixing the characters for me has proven to be difficult.]
⇨ Transition your character into the realistic-ish modern world. [E.g The Doctor isn't a timelord, maybe he's a history+science professor? Maybe James T.Kirk is a pilot?]

Zombie Mechanics:
I'd like to think they're similar to TWD.

⇨ The injection of any zombie-fluids [Via, mouth, wound, eyes etc.], you're infected.

⇨ They're semi quick, cannot run but can just about walk as quick as humans.

Brief History:
Jack Bauer was born in Santa Monica, California on February 18, 1967 to Phillip Bauer. Jack was never close to his father, nor to his brother Graem, who he hasn't seen since he was young. In high school, Jack rode motorcycles and often surfed for fun. He was somewhat rebellious, but a bright student. Jack attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a degree in English Literature. Later, he received a Master of Science degree in Criminology and Law from UC Berkeley. In his late teens, He met Teri, a Los Angeles graphic artist, and the two were soon married. The couple's daughter and only child, Kimberly.
Jack worked as a government (CTU) agent for most of his life, but retired early to spend more time with his family.
Teri and Kim were both killed soon into the outbreak, leaving Jack by himself, who was distraught by the loss, but used his prior skills to pull through.

Brief History:
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Abby was later given up for adoption by her birth parents and taken in by an unnamed family who later raised her as their own along with their son, Luca Sciuto.
During her childhood, Abby was raised all over the southern United States and apparently learnt to drive a manual transmission when she was ten years old.. Her parents, presumably her adopted parents were or are deaf which is why Abby enjoys listening to her music at loud volumes and also due to the fact that her parents are deaf, Abby is skilled in American Sign Language and also possess the ability to lip-read.
Upon finishing high school, Abby later went to college, graduating with full honors from Louisiana State University with a triple major in sociology, criminology and psychology. She also earned her master's degree from Georgia State University in criminology and forensic science.
When the virus struck, Abby was out in a field mission with her team. They survived together for a couple of months before Abby got broken off by the zombies. She ended up in somewhere she didn't know, and found her current group. Abby still isn't aware of what happened to her friends.

Brief History:
Born in Georgia, America. He grew up on a farm and proved to be an intelligent and capable child. He went on to get a medical degree from the University of Mississippi. After training, McCoy became a good doctor and surgeon, showing to be one of the best in the city.
McCoy got married to a lover from university, but the marriage was ended quickly, leaving him in a messy divorce.
As the outbreak struck, McCoy wanted to stay in the hospital to help the sick, but it soon dawned on him that the people weren't sick, they were now dead. He left and quickly joined with his current group, proving to be a valuable member of the team.

General Appearance:
Rory is only fairly tall--About 5'7 to be exact. She has brown wavy hair and is fair skinned with rosy cheeks and pink lips. Aside from that, ever since the apocalypse has started she has become fairly toned and is forming abs slightly -as of now, they're a bit faint-. The girl is known for having really nice blue eyes, which are her key features out of everything and thus it is easy to tell her apart amazingly. People seem to be intrigued by the coloration of her blue eyes, and Rory finds it a bad thing since she can be a victim at any given time and labeled,'steal the blue eyed girl' or something, when she thinks about it.
Rory is probably known to look innocent and much like a prey even with the apocalypse going on, which people don't seem to understand whenever someone encounters the group she's in and spots her. Survivors think its a good trait--As she seems pure and whole and not the least bit insane so in a way her looks kind of assures them.

Personality:
Although frankly, she seems timid--she isn't necessarily. Rory is actually just quiet and careful with who she talks to and approaches--But then again she barely talks to others ('strangers') at all. In fact, Jack even thought she was mute when he encountered her and took her in the group. The girl is pretty quirky for starters and adorkable. She's a major bookworm, but since the apocalypse started there isn't necessarily anything for her to read. However she will often correct new comers of the group and inform them of members. Such as, if Jack is to harsh--She'll explain that he actually isn't like that all the time and is actually nice. She can be pretty adorably awkward as well when it comes to intense emotions such as 'love' regardless but her personality somehow sucks in others to accept her behavior and take it all in as cute. These traits kind of just adds in more to her 'look of innocence' and survivors will always question her existence in the group, or how she has been alive all these months yet not lose one bit of sanity.
While others would judge and immediately find her as a liability, The apocalypse pretty much did shape the girl up a bit. She is unexpectedly tough and can surprisingly defend herself as well as know how to handle a certain situation calmly due to observing her peers in the group. She is very quick with her thinking and witty. Rory also isn't necessarily afraid to take risks and will even use her looks for survival, therefore is quite vulpine.

How long have they been with the current group?: To people's surprise, Rory has been in the group since the beginning--The first month after the outbreak.
Strengths + Weaknesses:
+ Rory is analytical and often observes others.
+ The girl is able to casually lie/deceive.
+ Fast learner and quick thinker.
+ Quick on her feet

- Vague: Rory can't make up her mind after past the due date and thus always ponders about choices very deeply.
- Anxiety: When very very distressed, Rory can become very anxious and panicked for no reason. She will constantly worry about a situation or past one and fear for the future. Keep in more that she doesn't get easily emotionally distressed--Something very drastic has to happen to the group for example or within.
- meddlesome & Fraudulent: two things that don't always go along. Rory's curiosity can get her into near death situations, however with other survivors she meets she will like said become fraudulent in which she has a 50/50 chance on surviving or being killed. It's pretty much like a gamble of life for her. With conning skills--It highly depends if she'll still live, however so far her skills of deceit out of meddling are very uncanny.

At 16 he, through a stroke of luck, managed to get a job and an apartment - which allowed him to join the military at 18 - though due to his lack of education, his training took much longer than envisioned, lasting until early in his 25th year. That training rose a strong passion for all things mechanical and electronics, pushing him to pursue a specialization as engineer. The following years in the military have allowed him to show his skills, rising him to the rank of Chief Engineer eventually. He had planned to take some vacation/shore leave when the virus hit.

Strengths: Due to his understanding of technology, he can repair and jury-rig most simple equipment, and at least repair and maintain more complex machinery if provided with the pieces. Can take decisions when necessary, and can create/build required things on the spot if provided with the materials.
Weaknesses: Due to not being a land or even specialized soldier, his accuracy with firearms may be sub-par if not given time to aim. Does not deal all that well with death. Sometimes stubborn.

Age: Going off the version I'm playing, I'd venture about forty or so.

Occupation: Vigilante. Former Navy SEAL.

General Appearance:

Personality: Quick to the kill and generally pretty ruthless, but only towards those who do wrong. Unwilling to kill innocents, but that doesn't mean he won't hurt them if they get in his way. Extremely depressed by the death of his family, though he bottles it up to the point that he just seems mad at everyone all the time. At heart, he is (err... was) a doting parent, a devoted spouse, and a reliable friend. Will kill rehabilitated criminals as well as current ones. Fanatically holds to his principles (hence the fact that he still follows them after the apocalypse began).
Brief History:
Frank Castle (born Francis Castiglione) was always one for revenge. Even as a child, he demonstrated a lust for combat and frequently got into fights with known bullies. Later in life, this desire manifested itself in different ways when he went to war. During his first two tours in Afghanistan, he did special operations, often involving hostage rescue. His trigger finger wasn't limited to terrorists, though. Whenever one of his fellow soldiers did something he deemed as heinous or wrong, he wouldn't hesitate to kill them, usually doing it away from the group or during the confusion of a fight.

Frightened by his urges, Castle went on in his third tour to serve as a Captain on a base. Though his time was uneventful until just about the end, he was confronted with seemingly unbeatable odds. A Cell had overwhelmed his base. Fighting for his life, he beat quite a few men to death with a broken fire-arm, using his superior training, pain tolerance, and sheer force of will to fight through several injuries before support arrived.

Upon arriving back home, he was greeted by his wife of several years, Maria Elizabeth Castle, his nine year old daughter, Maria Castle, and is son, Frank Jr. Castle. He received several commendations (Bronze and Silver Stars, four purple hearts, and was due a Presidential Medal of Freedom) and went on to train people for special operations in the military. Due soon for a retirement from the military, he took his family on a picnic to Central Park during one of his leaves. To his horror, they witnessed a mob execution and were gunned down as witnesses. Frank, of his family, was the only one to survive.

Later, Frank found he couldn't even try the men responsible because of their alibis. Enraged, Castle took up vigilantism, calling himself the Punisher and killing the men responsible for the death of his family. He didn't stop there, though, proceeding to go after crime as a whole and almost always using deadly force. Most notable about him was a Kevlar vest with a death's head on it.

How long have they been with the current group?: Encountered them several times, but not an official member yet. Has helped them in tight spots before.

Strengths

Extreme pain tolerance: The Punisher has a level of pain tolerance that nears that of the super-human, ignoring non-life threatening injuries quite easily. He doesn't even take over-the-counter pain killers, believing the relief isn't worth the slowed reflexes. However, just like everyone else, one good fatal shot (or one good bite) is all it will take to kill him. This just makes him harder to take down non-lethally.

Master Martial Artist: Castle is a very thoroughly seasoned combat veteran of exceptional skills. He is very well-versed in the arts of warfare, several forms of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. His styles of choice being Nash Ryu Jujutsu, (the four-style martial art founded by his Sensei Adam Nash and the Marine Corps LINE/MAPS combative systems) Ninjutsu, Shorin-ryu Karate, Hwarang-Do, and Chin Na. He is an exceptional knife fighter who carries up to 3 or 4 different types of edged weapons, preferring the knife he learned to fight with in the USMC: the Ka-bar.

Expert Marksman: He is an exceptional marksman of every type of firearm who is sometimes depicted as being ambidextrous in this respect. He is skilled in sharpshooting and knife throwing as well.

Expert Pilot: Castle received helicopter training with the U.S. Army and U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command.

Interrogation Expert: Castle uses his interrogating skills to get information from people who has links to criminals through very creative use of torture as well such as water boarding, electrocution, suffocation, sleep deprivation, starvation etc.

Extensive special ops training: Besides his Marine training, Castle also received U.S. Navy SEAL/UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) training, EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) training, U.S. Army Ranger training, U.S. Army Airborne School training, U.S. Army Special Forces Q-Course training, and LRRP (Long Range Recon Patrol) training. He also took part in cross-training with the Australian Special Air Service Regiment.

Expert Tactician: Armed solely with conventional weapons and motivated by a fanatical hatred for criminals like those who murdered his family, the Punisher has single-handedly incapacitated up to a dozen well-armed and experienced opponents in a single encounter and escaped uninjured. It is his military training and his attention to detail that allows him to achieve this.

Strength level: The Punisher possesses the normal human strength of a 6'1" 200-pound man, who engages in intensive and extensive physical exercise. Frank is capable of press lifting up to twice his body-weight and can press lift 400 lbs. Frank engages in a brutal regimen of calisthenics, katas and firing range practice daily, maintaining his combat skills and he does not drink alcohol or do drugs.

Weaknesses

Principles: If Frank believes something, he'll stick to it. No matter what. He has frequently in the past decided to kill someone even though they might be convenient, often leading to trouble down the road.

Stamina/Injuries: Though Frank is extremely fit and tough, he is still a normal guy, and he isn't very young anymore. His willingness to ignore an injury doesn't change how serious it is.

Stubbornness: Frank will often butt heads with leaders he disagrees with, to the extent that he is willing to directly disobey them (also means he's not a very good subordinate).

Tough love: The stone-faced vigilante calls things like they are. If you act stupid, he's gonna call you stupid. If you're a slut, he's gonna call you a slut. This isn't great for building relationships.

A broken man: Frank is extremely depressed about the death of his family, and probably always will be. In relationships, he compares women to Maria and they just never match up. So, getting close to him would be quite a difficult task.

Slow: While Frank is a very skilled fighter, he isn't very quick or much of a runner.

Weaknesses: Frank is prone to stubbornly holding to his principles, no matter what the cost may be. He is extremely bad at social interaction, though he excels at strategic leadership. (I'M SORRY WEAKNESSES ARE HARD TO COME UP WITH)

Try to balance out the weaknesses to strengths a little more - If I can find weaknesses to Jack Bauer, then you can find weaknesses for Frank!
