The shapeshifter watched her walk away, tilting his head to the side. He hesitated for a few seconds, before following, going at a quick run until he caught up.

He walked behind her silently, hands shoved in his pockets, and head tilted downwards, staring at his feet as he watched, eyes following every movement he made.

Jezebel had been deep in concentration, searching for her next target that she had initially overlooked the shape shifter but it was only when the scent of wet fur flooded her senses, she quickly roused from her Hunt instincts. The boy, Codak her mind corrected her - fine, Codak was following her.

It wasn't that the boy was doing any harm or that his presence annoyed her but Jezebel couldn't help but feel confused at why he would still follow her. "Did you want to ask me something?" Jezebel asked idly as she continued scenting for her next prey.

He lifted his head as she talked to him. He chewed on bis bottom lip, thinking. "Uh.. No, not really.." He admitted, shaking his head.

He wasn't sure why he was following her. Probably because he had nothing better to be doing? And he was curious about her, wanting to know what she was going to do next and such... He guessed that was probably it, then.

Jezebel smiled, her first true one of the entire evening. "You wouldn't be following me if you weren't curious about something or another." She said reasonably.

She had started walking again, her footsteps silent. Codak would follow her and for once, Jezebel didn't mind the company. She tilted her head slightly to look back. "If you're going to follow me around, I suggest you don't lag behind."

He scurried up so he was beside her, grinning. "So, where we going?" He asked, looking up to her eagerly. He wondered whether she was going to find more food, as he'd first spotted her doing. If do, he'd have to hang back a bit, he didn't think he could watch that again, it was somewhat... Sickening?

He jumped every few steps to keep up, as he kept falling behind. He was usually a slow walker.

"Hunting." Jezebel answered absently.

It was probably too late to catch the more cunning sort of targets she usually favored but Jezebel supposed she was doing the world a favor by getting rid of the weak, pathetic ones as well. Her pace quickened, uncaring that Codak was falling behind. She could scent one not two blocks away and if she wanted to catch him, she had to hurry.

He was struggling to keep up. He changed, now back to the form of a jackdaw. He flew upwards, where he could see her, and her target. Well, he guessed it was her taget. If she was hunting as she had said then it must be, as it was the closest person around. He followed from the air, silently.

Codak's presence from behind her had disappeared but Jezebel ignored it, her attention now solely focused on the man that she had just passed. The guy had been standing outside an apartment block, staring upwards at one of the windows but his attention had shifted as soon as Jezebel had passed him, his attention dropping to the young female.

Bait taken.

The guy was fairly big, probably a man who took his exercise seriously, and his shoes clacked on the pavement as he continued to follow her. Her vampire allure had weakened his senses while heightening others. While an ordinary man might question following a strange girl, his dulled senses and his overblown lust meant that the man questioned none of it but instead trekked behind her, gaining ground as Jezebel slowed her speed once they were out of sight.

The Jackdaw watched on intently, lowering himself to hover just above the two. His eyes momentarily flickered over the low-life'd male that was following the vampire. He almost pitied him. Almost. He had to circle round as Jezebel slowed down the pace, as he was much faster as a bird, cutting through the air with ease. "What's next?" He cawed to himself, tail fanning somewhat as he swooped down to land on a nearby electricity pole, sidestepping along the wire to get a better view.

He usually hated these things, they made terrible perches, digging into his feet. But today he didn't mind. Today he was too focused on something else to notice the thick, sharp wire piercing into the thick skin on the bottom of his feet.

The man was so predictable as he grabbed hold of her, slamming her up against the brick wall. A human child would have probably gained a concussion, or at least have their wits knocked about. The scum still dared to leer at her, crudely commenting at her girlhood prettiness. Jezebel could almost roll her eyes at the standard crappy lines she usually heard. His hand came up to cradle her face, the other still pinning her across the chest. She could feel his hot breath against one cheek.

Her previously faked scared expression fell and a satisfied one appeared instead. "The hunter becomes the prey." She whispered, her fangs elongated before sinking them into the man's neck. The disgusting man barely had time to react, his face took on one of confusion and horror before he slumped down to the ground, dead.

He looked on, his eyes reflecting both the horror, and fascination that he was feeling. Eventually he had to turn away, for risk of cswitching back to his human form in order to throw up. At least it hadn't been someone good she had killed, just some low level pervert. He reassured himself, taking the time to give his feathers a quick clean, checking that each one was in tip top condition.

Once content that his feathers were no longer in any sort of disarray, he turned back round, to check whether or not the vampire had finished feeding. Now that he thought about it, he was pretty hungry himself. Maybe he could find some scraps of bread or something dotted around. That, or he could do his own spot of hunting. He did like bringing in his own food as a fox. It brought a new kind of thrill to his life, and he enjoyed the way the adrenaline pumped through his veins, fuelling him, driving him onwards. It was definately one of his favoured experiances he had as an animal.

Jezebel was feeling awfully full. By now she had two adult men's blood in a span of a few hours. An adult vampire would probably be fine with that but she was not only young in vampire years but her body was just as young too, trapped in eternal youthfulness. She lightly pushed the man away with her shoe, licking the last few drops of blood from her mouth before she turned to walk away but not before she spotted the very same bird that had caught her attention earlier on.

"You can come down if you want. Or leave." Jezebel said, her eyes looking up at him unblinkingly.

He jumped up and glided down, wings spread out to their full length, the tips of his flight feathers vibrating somewhat as they caught the wind. He flapped his wings to keep himself in the air as he areived just above her, hovering. He slowly lowered himself onto her shoulder, where he stayed, waiting to either be accepted there of shoed away. Most people didn't like him on then, but he never knew why, so he was expecting to be pushed off almost straight away. He braced himself, wings open slightly, tail fanned, ready to stop himself from falling to the ground if that be the case.

Jezebel sniffed. "Instead of changing back to your human form, you insist on riding my shoulder as a bird?"

Pale green eyes lanced down towards the avian creature on her shoulder. If Codak dared to crap on her or tear her dress, not even his flying form could save him from her. Jezebel could say that with a certainty.

Codak was a strange character. He was shy or scared of her and yet he persisted in following her. "You are a strange creature." Jezebel told him.

He nodded his head with a caw, relaxing slightly, folding his wings tightly against the sides of his body. He looked around from his seat on her shoulder, stretching his neck a little, then shaking himself, hding onto her shoulder tightly to prevent himself from falling off as his feathers puffed up. He clacked his beak together at her statement. He knew he was weird. Everyone who he met said that. It didn't bother him though. He was happy how he was.

Officially Jezebel had no identity. She had no home. She had no family. But that was because according to all records, Jezebel didn't exist. It didn't bother her shortly after her rebirth and it didn't bother her now although on nights like these, she did wish she had somewhere that she could call home and not just a place to sleep.

"You are a very boring companion if you insist on remaining as an animal." Jezebel told the bird.

Once they had taken shelter back at the abandoned building, she had dumped the bird on the table, insisting she was not a perch for it - him, whatever Codak identified himself as. She had only grown more bored as time went on which had led to her talking to the only living creature with her.

He squawked indignantly at her comment, pecking at her ear. He wasn't there for her entertainment. He was there for... Actually, he didn't really know what he was there for, he just was.

He flappwd his wings as he was pushed off onto the table, almost falling off. He turned his head to glare at her. After a while longer, his energy began to drain. He'd made tooany shifts that day, and stating as a bird was draining him. He jumped off the table, and changed back to his human form, where he stretched his arms above him head and let out a yawn, humming quietly to himself, acting as if the vampire wasn't there at all.

There was something very amusing about watching Codak react angrily to her words and then ignore her afterwards.

Did he really think he could win a match of silence? She was a vampire, she could live forever. A few hours, days or weeks meant nothing to her, those were just drops in a bucket.

She wandered out of the room. When had her life become so dull? Since when has she found herself so restless? So many questions and no answers.

He turned his head somewhat, watching her leave, following. He wasn't really sure of what to say or do now.

"So. Hi." He said, in an attempt to strike up conversation. He shuffled his feet, chewing on his bortom lip. It had become a habbit for him when nervous or bored.

True to her earlier assessment of Codak, he was very much like a pet, wanting to be acknowledged and adored. It was somewhat endearing. A smile grew on Jezebel's face. "Hello." Her voice carried an amused tone. "I suppose you're done ignoring me now?"

She strode towards the window, watching as the sun began to rise. It was a lie that vampires couldn't go out in the day but they were more powerful at night and in the moonlight which was why they merely preferred to operate at nocturnal hours.
