U.S Elemental War Experiment #2

~Plot~

In New York City 1987, there were 14 children who were chosen at birth to be a part an experiment. This experiment gave them powers over the Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, Electric, Air, Spirit. Each element had a male and female experiment. The children were locked up and obverse closed off to the rest of the world. The Government later implemented them into a private school, which went horribly leading the school's destruction killing most facility members, but no one knows what happened to the 14 children.

In 2000, the project was rebooted and another 14 children were chosen at birth. The school has been rebuilt, this time, ready to handle and "accidents" that might happen with the children. Now the students are heading to the new building in 2016.

Now the children are being sent to Syria to fight forced by the government.

@Cats fun fact: Many landmines (the anti-infantry ones, rather than the anti-vehicle ones) don't explode underground, they explode in the air. These "Bounding mines", when tripped, launch the explosive body to around waist height before a second, much more powerful detonation scatters the area with razor sharp shrapnel that acts much like hundreds of tiny bullets. In short; picking up the mine probably wouldn't have changed much.

It's really weird to see all the responses to the mine. I didn't know that people's mental images of explosions could be so different :D

Certainly an interesting use of a grenade. I'm gonna wait for some other people before posting again so we don't get caught up in their argument.

Yes, definitely.

I'm trying to be that spark that ignites internal conflict. This whole escape is going to smoothly. We need Chaos, drama and conflict. The lifeblood of a good rp.

Does anybody know more good powers for a Spirit user? Totally asking for a friend in a completely dissimilar scenario... :P
I've been drawing some inspiration from random lists of superpowers, but most things are way too extravagant and overpowered.

Spirit is manipulation of the soul, so I reckon you could do a lot with it - a lot of that is overpowered though: Voodoo, mind control/reading, disabling parts of the body by preventing the soul communicating with them, performing exorcisms... the list is pretty much endless :P

I haven't gotten any alerts from the IC! I'll make a post soon and maybe catch up with everyone unless anyone has a better idea for Marilla.

We haven't specified who was there and who wasn't, so just have the character have been in the group all along? That's what I'd do. Saves having to find ways around the big metal wall my character constructed.

Does anybody know more good powers for a Spirit user?.

Using it like qi(chi) of medicine and gong fu and it won't be as op, takes a lifetime to become a master, and depending on the upbringing of the Character certain abilities will impossible. Due to conflicting with the alignment of the users soul. Or because they have no knowledge about the subject.

We need an event to test our abilities and get everyone excited.

I was thinking we can make it out of the tunnel and wind up right in the middle of the fire fight between the terrorists (I guess that's what they are that's what I got from the other descriptions.) And I guess the army or whoever we work for.

This way we can all let loose show off our stuff and have whoever stopped responding just get caught in the cross fire. It'll be interesting writing about a fallen comrade.
