Vera & Dirk [Entering Safehouse]
Confused. She was definitely confused as to how he knew the way to the safehouse. Well... someone had probably told him? ... Then her intervention was pointless. She had just introduced herself as an idiot and a creeper who stalks the woods, all for nothing. ...Haaah. He even took the lead. ... That was fine. Vera wasn't very good at leading anyways. Though watching him, Vera felt bitter enough to complement herself on not hitting her head on a tree. And then she felt guilty right after.
When Vera's legs had started to get sore, they had made it to the safehouse. ... Seriously, why did these... things inside her feel it necessary to keep fatigue and pain? It wasn't like they could even get exhausted or anything... Then the guy made a completely selfish decision to have her lead the way in. ... Did the place really look that bad? ... Or maybe he was actually giving the opportunity to save face by looking like she had led the way? Well, either case... "Uh... It's not like I actually know anyone there. I just got there yesterday and woke up a few hours ago and... Ok." There wasn't a point to complaining at all, really. They were both new. She was just... there a day ahead. Besides, he had actually... lead the way to the safehouse. Though Vera was sure it was possible she would have found it again on her own, eventually.
Taking a deep breath and puffing up with false pride, Vera strode to the door and pushed them open. "Okay! I brought someone!" ... Of course, Vera's little declaration was well overpowered by the creaking and groan of the old door as it swung inwards. 'A defense mechanism.' That was her first thought. Her second thought was that no one cared enough about the damn door to oil its hinges.
