Introduction

The world of Aeios. Its a grim and dark world for many. Though in this age, the Empire rules in peace. There has long been a peace after the Empire managed to unite the states and provinces into one realm. One realm united against the northern threat of the barbaric scum that pillaged the lands. But its the year 1302. The Era of peace has managed to see the Empire grow in peace. It seems that the gods are truly content with the realm as they should be. It prosper in many regions. However,

With every light, there are always shadows. And sometimes, within those shadows, things lay in wait. Things that should stay within those shadows.~

So its your chance. Who are you? A person from noble blood or a commoner?
As a citizen of the Awom province, what will you be?

*(To make it clear here, no character of barbarian origin will be accepted. Everybody will start in either the capital city (Deliar) or Ryros (the seat of the House of Hjalmar). Later with events the RP will expand to the other provinces, but for now we all are restricted to Awom!*

Rule no. 1: Don't be a jackass. To put it in plain, simple words; criticism is okay, swearing at others isn't.
Rule no. 1B: People don't like each other, that's natural. What isn't natural is bullying them into oblivion. If an argument escalates, be the better person and walk away. Or else ask one of the moderators to help you.

Rule no. 2: If you don't agree with someone or something, you can tell them that. Nobody is going to feel insulted because of that (lest you don't follow rule no. 1 and 1b.) and most actually feel like you helped them. However remember that the GM's always have the last word, don't argue with them if they don't agree with what you say. It's fine to bring it up, it's not fine to drag an argument on for pages.

Rule no. 3: Keep your characters logical. There will be no character that will spit fireballs and such. It has to make sense with the rules and setting to be accepted . Not to forget, there are social rules and such within the society of the Empire. Act out of those (un)written rules and count on some serious consequences. If you're not sure if an action would be valid, ask the GM team for advice.

Rule no. 4 : Keep in mind that if you join, that every character is property of you and the RP. IF you get kicked, banned or leave then your character will belong to the GM's as they see fit. With getting accepted, you've agreed to this rule.

Rule no. 5: In order to keep things fun for everyone and to put emphasis that this RP is story-based and not all about killing, raping and murdering somebody else, you can't kill one character without the permission of the creator/owner of the character. The only other way is to ask and let the whole GM Team agree on the action to kill the character of the other person. If you violate this rule, then don't look surprised if we take measures to keep you out of fights for a very long time or even out of the RP.

Rule no 6: Even if you don't like them, respect the GM's. They are the people that try to make it fun for everyone with ideas and to keep order. Give them also some credit for trying to be around to help people with questions and doing just more then having fun. Also, this rule counts in the skype chat. If you violate this rule, don't expect any kind of mercy.
This also means that if one of them ask you to stop something, then stop. If you have any problems with that, don't keep going. Instead, turn to another GM.

Rule no 7:
Please when you make a post, state where you character. Such as : is nearby place X. It's easier to maintain of where everybody is when they say where their character is. If you do a collab, also place a summary with it so that people with little time to read huge posts can read what the collab is about or what it hints at. It's easier for all of us if we would do that.

Rule 8: To be sure you read this, you need to post above your CS or underneath it : I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire.

World Map

The Big Circles : The provincial capitals, housing the most facilities in a province. Seat of the governors as well.
Circles : Towns, not that big in sizes as the capitals of the provinces.
Squares : Castles/Forts, most often used by the Legion of the province to house most of the provincial troops.

[tabs][Tab | Awom|]
* Deliar
The biggest place in Awom. Deliar is the capital of the province, housing the most people within the province.

* Hials
The seat of the High House of Hjalmar, a great fortress.

*Oryl
A prosperous town, serving as the trading settlement between the provinces of Awom and Phavir.

* Roduma
A castle of the Awom province.

* Ryros
A town of the Awom province.[/tab][Tab | Culture|]Language

All subjects of the Empire speak the New Language, the one that has been formed four hundred years after the Empire had been founded in Rehon. Though it's not that big different from the Old Language it's been seen a must for the subjects, poor peasantry or high nobility, to speak it. Some commoners still speak in what one could call the dialect form between the two 'languages'.
Those who can't speak the New Language are deemed as nothing more than barbarians. Such as those beyond the Northern Border.

Religion

The loyal subjects within the Rehon Empire worship and know the old Pantheon of gods. In each province they are the same as they had been during the troubled Warring Times. Though the people of the Empire are free to choose their own patron god, the primary Imperial Culture has a distrustful eye for any other religion. Such as the Animal Spirit religion of the Barbaric Tribes.

Behavior and Etiquette

Being part of a great civilization, the proud subjects of the Empire have their own rules of behaving. They highly value these norms and such. Those who don't follow them up can often be regarded as rude or worse. Some even are being seeing as such important that if it's not followed, it is seen as a crime against the Empire. Some of them have great influence from the disciplined Legions, as after all, the martial traditions in the Empire are great.

- Always behave with respect towards the elderly.
- Respect your superiors. Follow their orders with loyalty, unless the person has done something to harm it.
- Respect those of the old Houses, who can trace their lineage back to the old rulers of the City States.
- Pay homage to the Gods, to avoid their wrath.
- Don't speak ill of the Imperial House or the Senate.

Other than that, the people of the Empire have high values for education, bravery (often with military prowess) and those who work hard to obtain their goals.

Recreation and such
dawn_over_whiterun_hold_by_1rich1-d4kvf3k.jpg

The people within the Empire see themselves as a refined culture. One that loves art, drama, philosophy and education. In the cities across the realm, there are many schools that offer good lessons in such skill and talents. Of course for a price of coin. Though, likely due the respect for the marital traditions, there are less 'refined' way the people of the Empire amuse themselves. It's considered barbaric by some, but yet very refined and part of their culture by others. Within each province capital, there are Arena's. Within these arena's volunteers, outcasts and condemned criminals are forced to fight. One can thus see the Empire as a progressive nation, but also one that has still some old roots hold up high.

But there is however no such thing as slavery.
[/tab]
[Tab | Government|]The Government of the Rehonian Empire

The Empire is ruled by the Emperor. His or her rule is considered to be highest. Though they are restricted due the Senate. The Senate is formed by the ancients houses, considered to be mainly descendants of those who ruled the ancient city states before the Empire was formed. They are the ones that choose the high priests for the grand temples in Aledel. They are also the ones that vote the prefect, who are appointed by the Emperor. And though the Emperor can veto the Senate, the Senate has most of the time the high priests behind them.

It sometimes creates a dangerous situation as the Emperor has the loyalty of the commoners and nobility and the Senate the priests.
Other than that, the government of the Empire is not that hard to grasp. Each province is being governed by a Prefect. They are the day by day rulers of a province, though they have to listen to the command of the Emperor and Senate.

The Senate, located in the capital. (Aledal)
rome-goverment.jpg

The most center of the political power. It's where the heads of each High House sends a representive, most of the time themselves, to discuss and argue about anything that is of political influence and importance. While the Emperor has most saying in the realm, the Senate still has their influence. It's often why it's almost war at this place. Betrayal, plotting and such are the every day events within the Senate. One day, you have allies who back you and the next you can find them against your decisions. Bribery, greed, ambition and lust for influence and power are normal here.[/tab]
[Tab | Social Structure|]

The social structure in the realm isn't a hard one to grasp. As the realm is ruled by the Emperor, it's obivious who is at the top. But there are important classes below the Imperial House and the Emperor. Each class will have some short description, but keep in mind that the Empire has some laws that prevent the stereotype we usually have. In the Rehonian Empire, men and women are equal for the law. It means that both are only limited by their skill, talent and motivation. Of course health too, but that is the idea. It's also against the Imperial law to have any slaves, as the subjects of the realm find it a barbaric trait to try to hold domination over others through simple force and torture. And though the description of each class will be more than just an assumption, as they describe how much influence each class has, there are a few examples where one can rise above their class. These people are often considered heroes and not just the folk you have respect for. These are often acknowledged by the Senate itself.

The Imperial House,
Divini.

SuperStock_1566-370001.jpg

The highest class. The House of Divini, a name deprived from 'Divine', brings forth the rulers of the realm. They are the ones that are seen as the heirs of the great conquer Mitrar, the one that was the first to bring all the city states together after a long and grim war. The members of the Divini House are considered to be the pinnacle of the society. Due the wealth and influence, it's not hard for them to gain a good position in organisations and such. Who often then use that for their own good and influence.

The High Houses,
The high nobility.

Below the Imperial House, these are the most noble of nobility. These Houses were the ones that ruled over a city state, what is often noted on their wealth and influence. Most members of High Houses are Senators, high ranked people in the Legions. Though the High Houses are powerful, they lack often in numbers. To compensate that, they often have a few lesser Houses serving them. Though their control over the Houses underneath them is strict. After all, it has happened before that one of the Lesser Houses became too arrogant and tried to usurp control over a High House. Because of that, most of the High Houses have great marital traditions.

The Lesser Houses,
The low nobility.

The nobility that serves underneath the High Houses. These are the people that have some wealth and influence, but not that much. There are rarely Senators of lesser Houses present within the Senate. Most of the lesser Houses seek their fortune in the Legions or other factions. After all, they serve to listen and protect the High Houses. Because of this, the Lesser Houses often live on the estate that is in the possession of the High House they serve. Though unlike the High Houses, the Lesser Houses are often found by people of renown. Or wealth, as some Lesser Houses have been started with a rich merchant as founder. Most of those 'merchant' Houses are found within the capitals of the provinces.

The burghers and peasants,
The middle and lower class.

There are no slaves within the Empire. Only free men and women. This class is the working class. May it either be on the farms within the countryside or within the city. This is the main population of the realm that work every day for their hard earn coin. Also the one that varies the most as can be a rich farmer to a low beggar. It's often the folk that has no claim to be of noble offspring.[/tab][Tab | Economy|]
1363310625_Assassin_Brotherhood_artwork_pantheon_soir_1500x749.jpg

Common in the Empire

The economy of the Empire is more or less self sufficient. The only culture they are in contact with are with the Barbarian tribes in the North. And that kind of culture exchange goes with blood, steel and sweat. So that means that trade and such is organised within the Empire. Though each province supply themselves most of the time with their own supply of food, such as wheat, fish and other simple products, there is also some specialization. But don't expect too much of that.

Currency

The currency of the Empire is with denars. These are coins that are used to buy and other financial transactions. There are silver and gold denar coins. It's very simple.
One gold denar is worth one hundred silver denars. The value of one denar is that one can buy a simple meal with it in an average pub or restaurant.

Bonds and Banks.

In each province capital, there are Imperial Banks. These can store and lent money to they thrust. Or if they spot a good chance to earn some coin themselves by investing in some shop or person. When a person stores money within a bank, the person will get a bond. These are hard to copy, as the banks have their own coding to make sure that criminals will have a headache when they even try it. A bond can be used in every bank, but keep in mind that they are only present in the capitals of the provinces.[/tab][Tab | Technology|]
The technology is very similar to that of the Early Medieval Period of Europe. This means most troops wear often a mix of leather and chain mail armor. There are also some other kind of armors that can be specially be made, much like lamellar amor and or partial plate armor, but those are mostly reversed for the wealthy. There is no full plate or advanced plate armor.

As for the weapons, it's the same as the armor. Don't expect to see anybody swinging a katana or such. Main weapons are swords, falcons, axes and such. Though most soldiers are equipped with the standard weapons, keep in mind that if you pay it with your own coin, you're allowed to buy some of these more experimental weapons that are showing up in the Empire of Rehon. This being for examples swords with a very slight curve and such. Most of the time, you'll need to pay quite a good sum for it and have it be made by a experienced blacksmith.

There is however also some influence from the old days of the Empire. This is mostly reflected in the design of the Elite troops and the Royal Guards, who wear better quality armor and weapons that have a more Hellenic/Roman influence. Such as there are units that are trained to form formations, like the phalanx and such, with pikes.

The Gods of the Empire
temple_by_tituslunter-d6h1su1.jpg
[/B]

Even in the time of the Warring City States, even before the time that the people began to write history, there are tales of supreme beings. Beings that were powerful than any other. Those reign over the forces of nature and such, those who were worshiped by men. The Gods.
Though there is no actual trace if it's true that the Gods once were very close to men, as they are now said to have retreated to mythical places. Places that aren't able to get by.

Tales, myths and such are the only things that the people know about their gods. Though with the arrival of writing, they were written down, but there is yet to come a valid claim that the Gods even have interest in men and their business. Some even claim the Gods are envy of men and for that reason don't favor them, but often put them to the test. But if on would keep continue like that, they are able to go on for decades like that.

Before the Empire was like it is in the present, the world of Aeios was a cold and grim place. Much like the current provinces, there were several city states that had control and might over their domain. It's described as a long, dark and bloody time as it's a time that was troubled with wars, disasters and such.
But it also a time where many great heroes and person came forth.

In overall, the Warring Times is considered to be a dark time. But some people see it differently. Even with all the troubles, some claim it was a time of progression. And not just in war, but also in technology. The fact that there are stories, records and such been saved, by copying them, it's claimed it was a period that led to the bright future of the Rehonian Empire.

The Empire started with what was considered to be one of the weakest city state. Aledeal, the capital of the Rehonian city state, was never conquered, but the lands around it were poor. It was due the constant strife and conflicts around the region. After all, it was the state that was literally surrounded by enemies. The only reason why it still held it's ground was due the superior troops and cunning leaders.

It's also thanks the current system of the Legions, that was first implanted by the great conqueror king, King Ridar of Rehon. With his flexible army, he managed to beat the army of Nurvile with such a great victory, that he forced them to become his ally against the state of Easmar. After these two victories, Ridar showed his cunning side. By the use of marriages, he made sure that the two states would get closer to that of Rehon. Thanks to his victories over the two states and preparing that they would get closer to Rehon, Ridar kept improving the legion of Rehon.

At the age of fifty however, he died in the war between the Rehonian Federation, as it was named due the fact that both Easmar and Nurvile became kind of vassals, and the Alliance between Awom and Dyati. His death was in the battle of Grim Tears, at the border where Rehon, Dyati and Awom make contact. It is seen as the great first defeat of the Rehonian Legion.

The battle of Grim Tears.

After the defeat, some kind of truce happened. But it was just used by the son of Ridar, Alfos the Patient, to prepare to strike when the provinces of Dyati and Awom would be at their weakest. And the waiting of four years paid off. While the Rehonian Federation was rebuilding itself from the last grim conflict, it seemed that a conflict arose between Awom and Dyati. Their alliance fell and a kind of distrust was the result. Alfos knew better than to attack both head on. Awom was growing in might, due having Phavir backing them up. Dyati was just the key to the state of Awom to bolster their might enough to face the Rehonian Federation.

As the distrust increased, Alfos began to drive a wedge between the two. By sending agents, he kept preventing those who saw the real danger, that of the Federation slowly enjoying the conflict between the two states. As it came to an armed conflict between Dyati and Awom, Alfos however wasn't able to react. While he had driven a wedge between Awom and Dyati, it seemed that the Hjalmar House had managed to drive a wedge between Nurvile and Easmar. This caused a time of conflict again. It also prevented Alfos to conquer Dyati or further weakening the 'free' states.

It didn't happened when the Rehonian Federation was ready to begin their next step with two great grandsons of Alfos the Patient. Their names were Tuban and Horal Divini, the Twin Kings. With the shattered Alliance of Dyati and Awom, it was easy for them to beat and take over Dyati. But as they took over Dyati, forcing the Alari House to it's knees, they noticed that they couldn't really place their full trust on the forces of Nurvile and Easmar. Though their close relations, the Federation was still not as efficient as the forces of Awom and Phavir. Because of that, they started to strengthen the borders that laid near Awom's. Then Tuban began his march to fully force Easmar to the rule of Rehon. Though the next focus was Nurvile, something else cause their progress to halt. As the Twin Kings were close to fully integrate Nurvile under their rule, the barbarian tribes launched an invasion of unseen scale.

It was called the 'Blight'. Surprised by the sheer numbers and aggressive warriors, the forces of the Rehonian legion was pushed back and lost heavy losses. In fact, during the fifth battle, Tuban lost his life. His loss caused great grief with Horal who then pledged he would get revenge on the barbarian tribes. For a decade, a great conflict arose in the North. Both forces of the barbarian tribes as the Rehonian Legion were fighting bitterly over ground and territory.

Finally, in the Battle in Dilos Forest, Horal managed to push the Barbarians in fear. With a legion, he managed to take down the strongest tribe of the barbarians and managed to create a long peace for the province of Nurvile. It would last a century before the barbarian tribes would be brave enough to launch some raiding parties again.

When the campaign of Horal had ended, Horal began to organize the Legion into separate ones. He didn't dare to venture against Awom, as the state had readied itself for war. With the aid of Phavir, the Hjalmar's had made sure their army was much alike that of the Rehonian. Dividing the Rehonian in several, it became easier to control the big man force. While the Nurvile Legion would stand as the vanguard against the Barbarian Tribes in the North, the Legion of Rehon and Dyati would focus on being that against Awom.

Horal's son, Fredik the Great Builder, started to work further on the improvements. Focusing on the defense and infrastructure, Fredik was regarded as one of the greatest Divini that led the provinces. His work enabled that the forces of the Rehonian Kingdom, as it was called now, started to grow. And as Fredik grew old and weary, he gave his throne to his eldest and most talented son, Hrólfr the Conqueror.

It was Hrólfr that started the Long War. The forces of Hrólfr began their march and the first few battles were won in the name of the Rehonian Kingdom. Soon however, the forces of the Awom Alliance began to fight back against the mighty legions of Hrólfr. Thanks to the shrewd commanders of the Awom Alliance, who were better in leading their troops than that of Rehonian, they held their ground. Battle after battle happened, where many great names were born from. It is said that Hrólfr even had to beat the rumoured half giant, Iunius of Klion.

crusaders_b_by_jOuey_.jpg

After many great battles, Hrólfr managed to defeat a large host of the Awom Alliance at the battle of Rynos. This crippled the Awom Alliance as they lost not only a great deal of their forces, but had to fall back to rally once more. Making the push, the great conqueror made sure his enemies wouldn't be able to reform. Sending light cavalry groups to pillage supporting caravans from Phavir to Awom, King Hrólr managed to weaken Awom further.

Though weakened, the state of Awom didn't gave up yet. Rallying their troops back, they fled back to their capital, where they managed to defend their capital from the clever Hrólfr. The siege would last for three years, without the forces of Hrólfr managing to starve out the defenders. Somehow, still unknown to this day, the population of Deliar managed to stand their ground. As the morale began to lower, Hrólf knew he was close to victory. But the moment he would turn his back to attack Phavir, or even splitting his forces, he would likely be pushed back by the forces of Awom.

So did it happen that the Long War would get dragged on as both sides were refusing to give up on anything. Treaties were proposed, but each time the receiver declined it as they didn't get what they wanted. Hrólfr wanted that the Awom Alliance would cede valuable territory, something the Awom Alliance furiously kept refusing. And Hrólfr simply declined any peace treaty as he was close to a complete victory. Though he made one mistake, that was likely his biggest in his whole life. As the third year of the siege of Deliar had come, Hrólfr heard that the forces of Phavir had prepared themselves and pushed back forces that were on their position to keep them from aiding Awom. Arrogant due his successes, Hrólfr didn't made any effort to strengthen the defense against Phavir. A big host from the south attacked the forces of Hrólf in the back, driving the forces of the great conqueror back as the combined forces of Awom and Phavir proved too much for his troops.

reaching_the_victory__by_daroz-d6kq9q5.jpg

With the situation growing worse, as Hrólfr had received serious wounds and the Awom Alliance pushing the Rehonian forces back once more to their border, some pleaded to the conqueror to take the peace treaty. But the stubborn king didn't want to hear any of it. Soon as he was better, he started to form a great host again. This time the Alliance of Awom started to meet him head on. On the plains south of Deliar the two armies met and clashed. After a long battle, that went stalemate for four hours, the forces of Hrólfr managed to beat that of Awom and Phavir.

Due the success, Hrólfr already began to divide his troops to begin the attack on both Awom and Phavir, but both the states surrendered. The population had grown sick of the war as the leaders of the Alliance saw no future against resisting the Rehonian might. Due their bravery and cunning leadership, both Awom and Phavir were spared from a grave punishment. Something that Hrólfr had planned at first, after his biggest defeat.

And so came the birth of the Empire as the treaty was signed and with Hrólfr as the first Emperor of the united Rehonian realm. For times a golden peace would dawn upon the Empire.

The soldiers of the Rehon Empire are still something that has some similarities to the old days. Though the tradition that each soldier has to provide their own armor and arms. These days the Senate provides each volunteer their weapons and arms, often a regular weapon and some garb. Though the quality is not that good as compared to what even the lower nobility can afford, it is at least supreme to that of the Barbarian threat to the north and most bandits. But when you have some coin, you can always afford yourself some better equipment at the smiths. After all, a decent mail armor is able to stop an arrow more likely than a naked chest.

As the Empire is divided in provinces, so is the Imperial Army. Though each Legion isn't really different, as they all have the task to keep their province safe and make sure that threats are cleared out, they do have a slight difference in some tasks. So is the Legion of Nurvlin more focused on holding the border against the Barbarian Tribes in the North. And so is the Legion of Rehon considered to be the Royal Legion, that has as sub task to defend the Imperial House.

In the end, it's just one army. Units within a Legion can be sent to that of another to aid that province Legion. So is it that the Legion of Nurvil gets some units now and then of the other Legions so it can remain as strong and big as it needs to be to fend of the Barbarian tribes.

There is however a different kind of story with the Rehonian Legion. This Legion is in size smaller, compared to the others, but fields the most experienced and best equipped soldiers of the Empire. Their task is to guard the Rehon Province and the Imperial House.

Ranks within the Imperial Army

There is little discrimination between men and women in the army, as females are more than free to join the army. However, it's often that Noble or rich families and Houses are able to send their daughters and sons to the Academy. There they can enter into the military and already start at the rank of Optio.

A basic Rehonian Imperial army, which is called a Legion is around the size of eight to fifteen units. (thus ranging from 4.000 to 7.500 soldiers). Most infantry and archer units exist of roughly 500 men. Cavalry around 200 men on horseback. To give you an idea.

From low to high in an unit.
Soldier, live to fight and to obey orders.
Tesserarius, third in command of an unit. The sergeants of an unit. One per fifty soldiers.
Optio, second in command of an unit. The lieutenants of an unit, commanding five tesseari. Two per unit.
Centurion, command of an unit. They are the captains of an unit. One per unit.

From low to high in a legion.
Optio Tribune, leaders over two units. equivalent with a high captain rank.
Tribune, second in command of a legion. Two per legion, equivalent with a general rank.
Legate, the leader of a legion. The marshal of a legion.

Different kind of units,

Due the long history of the Empire, it has seen many changes in the changes of the army. For example, it has been encountering all kind of enemy units due fighting each other and the barbarian in the north. Because of this, the Empire supports a wide choice of formations of units. Next to the traditional units of infranty, cavalry and archers, there are several units that serve multiple functions on a battlefield. Such as good equipped archers, that also can serve as medium infranty if the need should come. Or skirmishers on horseback. There are many kind of units that all have a role or even different roles, depending on the situation, on the battlefield.

Though combined with the rather good quality of armor and weapons of the Empire, the army relies on volunteers. And though there is a good income of volunteers, the armies of the Empire aren't that large as they can wield. This results them to keep training and improving their soldiers.

An optio leading a detachment of an unit on a patrol, at his right likely the tesserari of the detachment.

Character Sheet Creation

Like it was said in the introduction, every character can only start in the province of Awom. Once the story progress and more characters have been created, other provinces will be open to roam and interact in. This is done to prevent that we all will go lone wolf or too much distant will be created between potential groups. For now.

Several origins that might help you further down into creating a character. Please do note that we won't accept any criminals for some time. After we got a decent start we can decide to throw in some hedge knights, cut throats and what ever you might fancy. This doesn't mean that sly, cunning or such characters can't be created. Let's not forget that a cunning merchant or noble aren't rare in our own world history.

- A member of the High House of Hjamlar.
(Thus high nobility. This means that your character has quite the education. High nobility may start higher in the Legion and other organizations than the lower nobility and commoners.)

- A member of the Lesser House of Perar or Tinath. Two of the four lesser Houses that serve the High House of Hjamlar. Others being the Rivers and Alari.
(Thus starting as low nobility of either the Lesser House of Perar or Tinath. Most have an average education and the people from this origin will serve as almost anything. They can be either around middle classed people (smiths and such in service of the Hjalmar's) or appointed as men at arms/knights in the service of a member of the High House of Hjalmar. Their leaders often act as advisers or mentors to the members of the High House of Hjalmar. )

-A member of the commoners.
(Thus starting as a commoner. They can be almost anything, except for positions as very high ranked officers in the army or as knights. Though they have the least of education, they can be interesting as they can vary very much.

Guild sheets

You're free to form and create a specialized guild like a knighthood or perhaps just a type of crafters guild. Do keep in mind that they will need to be reviewed and if you need some help, contact the GM's. Keep mind to make them also be in 'contact' with the culture. A guild or faction that falls out of line of how the people of empire are won't be accepted. There will be a guild of thieves and such later, but first I want a decent start.

Due also starting and being restrained to one province, please note that you can set the headquarters of your faction in another province city or such. With expanding later on to more provinces and regions, it is a bit silly to have all the headquarters located in Awom and none in the other provinces.

Code:

====================================================

Personality :
Hector appears to be a loner, never trying to make new friends and barely talking to anyone while he escorts people, or simply sit in a tavern between jobs. He never speaks unless he has to, and will often simply communicate by movements. He does not gain enjoyment or happiness from anything he does, as he considers everything he does as a part of living of life, and that everything he does is necessary.

He will try to avoid fighting as much as possible, as he thinks that taking lives of others or even injuring people needs to be avoided at all costs, unless someone will show that he will not stop until Hector is down, in which case he will try to make the person stop by knocking him unconscious. All of the people he will talk to will see him the same, as he does not give anyone a special attitude, no matter how much time he will spend with people.

History :
Born in Hials, Hector was initially named Felix and was born into the Perar lesser noble family. He was raised in a noble fashion as expected from any noble family member, and soon begun showing interest in reading maps and such, making his parents believe that when he grows older he will become a great tactician, knowing the maps by heart thus being able to put the name of Perar even more on the political map. He also always had a tendency to try and climb to high places, so he could "See as much as he can in an area".

To their disbelief, Felix didn't wish to be trained in fighting, as he apparently decided that life should be preserved, no matter what the case may be. His parents were even more shocked when they discovered him coming back from a small trip with a butler that went to the market to fetch supplies for that evenings meal. While he had successfully made the butler's trip shorter, his parents decided that they cannot allow Felix to do what he wishes any longer and signed him up for military training.

Felix, not wanting to train in how to kill other people or protect himself by injuring others, decided to make a move, at it was clear that his parents would not give up that easily. At the age of 14 he went with a childhood friend of his to the nearest river. After using a knife to cut his hand, he then spread a bit of blood around the edge of the river and gave the knife to his friend before ripping his shirt, making it damp by dipping it in the river's water and then letting his friend hold it as well. He then wished his friend the best before departing.

A couple of weeks later, Felix Perar's death was declared after the search party had determined that the story of his friend was truthful. His friend had told them that Felix appeared to be angry, and after a short arguement Felix took out a knife and tried to hit him, only for the friend to manage to take it out of his hand and accidently hit Felix at the same time. Felix stumbled back and fell into the water, but the friend had managed to grab Felix's shirt, but due to the weight of the water he could not pull Felix out. After ten minutes of trying the shirt ripped and Felix vanished from sight.

After that moment, Felix Perar was no more, and a new person was born. That person was Hector Carras, and he decided that he will not take lives no matter what. He already knew how to read and write from studying while being with his family and was capable to begin making himself a living by showing people the way between the towns. Even though it was hard for others to trust him at the first couple of years due to his young appearance, people started to understand that he knows the safest ways around and more people begun to go with him.

a year later, Hector was guiding a young couple to Ryros, when they encountered bandits. Using his hand axe, he just barely managed to protect the couple, but he was injured in his leg in the process. He understood that even though he refuses to take lives, that doesn't mean that others won't be willing to take his life. So he decided that if he ever encounters any threats to his or his clients lives, then he will protect them, but he still wont take the lives, but he would be willing to go as far as making the threats unconcious. Ever since, for a few more years, he had gained more knowledge on different routes to different towns, castles and capitals around the world. and became more proficient at scouting, be it in towns or in a forest.

Name :
Alisa Perar
Nicknames :
Little Princess, called by her father.
Gender :
Female
Age and birthday :
Born in the year 1293, on 6th of October. Thus 9 years old.
Origin :
Born in Deliar and is from lower nobility, daughter of Vincent and Aveline Perar.

Length and build :
Around 1.45 cm, slim build.
Weight :
Weighs around 40 kg.
Sexuality :
Too young at the moment,
Though she thinks boys smell.

Appearances :
ormeli_by_lear1t-d4g51sd.jpg

Alisa has inherit the red hair and blue eyes from her mother. Her father has often told her that she also resembles her mother greatly with her laugh and smile.

Occupation :

Currently being educated to become a mere lady in waiting. Something she finds horrible.

Favorite phrase/saying :
'"It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it."

A saying that reminds her of her father.

Favorite Food :
She loves fruit, most specially apples. Red ones as she often jokes that they remind her of autumn, her favorite season.

Favorite Weather and Season :
She loves it when it rains and Autumn, for the fact that the leaves changes to other colors than just green.

Patron God/Goddess :
Miri, for the myths and legends she appear in. That and after hearing Griffons are her servants, she loves to hear tales about them.

Personality :
Quite the stubborn person she is. Once Alisa has something in mind, she tries to get it and sometimes goes to long ends to try to achieve or get something. If not, she ends up being grumpy. Though she can be noticed as somebody with quite a drive and being confident as well, Alisa has her fair share moments of being scared. She is terrified for spiders, but won't really admit due her pride. She can also be quite compassionate, but it often requires her to bond or understand the other person. But even then, she can be quite blunt.

One can also deduce that she is a bit naive, as she thinks that her father is a fabled legend due his career so far. She has absolute no idea that it involved in ending a life of another person or how it is to stare death right into the eyes.

History :
Born in Deliar, Alisa lost her mother right away. Her mother was only to hold her for a few moments in her arms before she died due some complications during giving Alisa birth. This however never seemed to scare or hurt Alisa, but that is because she had never experienced what it means to have a mother. Instead she already showed her stubborn nature when she was growing up at the uncle of her father, a scholar in Deliar. She was quite cheeky and confident. From the stories she had heard from in her youth, Alisa always had her mind set on becoming much like how she viewed her father. A daring courageous adventure.

But when she was five years old, she was brought back to the fortress of Hials. There she would live and be educated in how to become a lady in waiting. Probably to later marry another kinsman of the Perar House or some other noble, to strengthen the bond of the Perar with another noble house. At first Alisa was naive and thought that her father had also experienced a similar kind of education. She did like to learn how to write and read, but always caused a ruckus when she had to wear a skirt or some sort of dress. Same as fashioning her hair in anything other than loose. With her father often busy with his occupation and job, she started to grow less obedient.

This has earned her a bit of a bad name with the tutors and mentors in Hials, that think she needs some good discpline. Something that her fathers hears a lot, but until now it hasn't been really successful. Alisa dreams of one becoming a fabled hero legend, as the same she views her father.

Alisa likes to wear pants and tunics instead of the dresses she needs to wear. Her clothing are mostly of just decent quality as she is of lower noble and not a commoner.

Tools and weapons :
Name :
Stinger
Description :
A short blade that Alisa carries on person. Often hiding it, the blade is balanced and made of some good quality steel. The problem however is that it isn't more than a long dagger and isn't a really dangerous weapon in her hands. Yet, it can sting quite if she manages to poke somebody in the right place.
Appearance :
medieval-hunting-knife-250x250.jpg
==========

Name :
The red scarf
Description :
A red scarf that Alisa loves to carry. Not only cause of it is her favorite color, but also because it was a scarf that her father had given her mother. It is the only thing she has of her mother and it is very dear to her.
Appearance :
See her appearance.
==========

Skill/Abilities :
She can read and write and is capable of running fast. Not able to outrun an adult, but she managed to outrun boys of her age and size more than often. She is also a bit agile, but due her weak strength, she isn't capable of performing much movement like parkour or anything else. She also has a knack for staying silent and hiding.

Traits
Has a sharp eye for detail and a very strong will. Alisa also is a fast learner, able to pick up things at a fast rate. But that is probably due her curiosity and age.

I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire.

Favorite Weather and Season :
Favorite weather is a pale blue sky and season is Spring.

Patron God/Goddess :
Due his profession he prays and curses with Rolor's name, but also prays as curses with Araos name.

Personality :
Vincent isn't much an open book. He isn't an ambitious person or one that feigns much of what he thinks of another person. He prefers to be direct and honest, even if he knows his words can hurt another. The reason why is that he believes it helps others as telling a lie, an illusion, will do nothing but to deceive and hurt the person. Even though he is also considered as a good lieutenant, Vincent prefers some solitude now and then. If spend too much time with people, when he isn't on duty, then Vincent often gets a bit grumpy. This has given him to many others that he is a reserved and cool person, who doesn't know how to show his emotions.

However, that isn't completely true. If he is spending time with his daughter, which isn't often due his occupation, he shows more of his softer and compassionate side. One that even close friends and relatives rarely get to see of him.

History :
Born as the only son of Koenraad and Leona Perar, Vincent's youth wasn't that bad at the start. His father was part of the Imperial army, serving as an optio for a legion that was first stationed in Awom. This enabled his father to spend time with his family, though it was really scarce. During these times, Koenraad often took Vincent to the nearby woodlands to teach him about it. It was then where Vincent gained his love for what he considered to be sacred. The more silent and 'peaceful' kind that was often to be found in woodland areas. It were kind of happy times, until his father's unit was transferred towards a legion in Nurvlin. Due some barbarian raid, there was a need of more able bodied soldiers to make sure that the raid of the barbaric scum wouldn't get too far. This meant that Vincent and his mother were alone while his father would march north. Vincent was by then at the age of nine.

For a short period of time, some months, things stayed well. Koenraad tried to write as often to his spouse and son and the letters kept coming. He told them of the more harsher winters in the province of Nurvlin and how the situation was grim as the unit hadn't fought much against the barbarians up north. Yet, they were optimistic. For a year the letters kept coming, but at some point they stopped. Vincent was at the age of almost eleven, almost being ready to be tutored in the ways of how a lower noble should behave and such when the news hit him and his mother. During a skirmish with the barbarian raiders, Koenraad had died while leading his unit. His skull had been split due an ax strike. Leona took the news so hard that nobody had heard her speak ever again, after she had received the news. And if that wasn't enough for Vincent, she started to stop eating, growing paler and skinnier with each passing day. Eventually, she died on the day that Vincent would receive some lessons from his uncle.

He moved towards Deliar where his uncle resided. His uncle was unlike his father a scholar, studying at the university of Deliar. For the first few months, Vincent was mostly sulking and being depressed. He didn't want to study. At some point he started to harbor a hatred towards the barbarians, wanting to join the army to eliminate them all. Vincent's uncle however managed to get him on the 'right' path as he started to teach the young boy how to read and write. About the age of fifteen, Vincent was educated in how to act as a normal lower noble and also had abandoned the hatred towards the barbarians up north. Though he would never forget what they had done to him and his mother.

After that he went into service as a squire for a knight of his own house. For four whole years he was being trained in martial arts as well learning more about chivalry. Even though he would follow the codes and do what his knight would order him to do, Vincent didn't believe in chivalry as much as his knight did. He mostly saw it was rules that were just made to make the whole knighthood as something righteous as they weren't in his opinion. However, he kept his opinion for himself and continue to loyally serve as a squire until he became nineteen years old. During his service he had met a lovely girl who held the name of Aveline, the daughter of the knight. A romance bloomed between the two, but Vincent wanted to make sure he would get a good job that would earn him enough to support him and Aveline. Just a year later, Aveline noticed she was pregnant and the young couple married. They had one daughter, Alisa Perar. Though Aveline died due complications during child birth.

With the earned money, that he kept saving, Vincent managed to save enough money to afford to study at the Academy. There he was more educated on marital art and tradition as well how to be a good leader, in theory. Vincent managed to graduate from the Academy and just in time. At the age of twenty three, thus four years later, he enrolled in the Legion of Awom. He served as an optio, of shield bearers, sword wielding infantry soldiers. For two years he was stayed and stationed in Awom, continue to drill the men and women he was responsible for.

Then he was stationed together with the soldiers he led in Nurvlin, reinforcing the Nurvlin legion. For the next few years, he wasn't just fighting against deserters and bandits. In these years he fought against the barbarians, venting some of the cold anger that he held against them. But when he was stationed back in Awom as a guard captain in Hials, to train and drill new soldiers, Vincent managed to become more cooler about it. Though he still holds the cold anger towards the barbarians of the north, he wouldn't let it rule over him any longer.

Theme song :

Clothing and/or armor :

During his spare time, Vincent wears simple clothing. Often dark brown or grey tunics of decent quality with pants. During his duty as option, Vincent wears his armor which consist of a decent linen gambeson. Over that, a chainmail vest with hood, which is quite the standard equipment of his shield bearers unit. He also owns a good quality of leather lamellar vest that he wears over over his chain mail. Of course also a helmet, which is always nice to have when you're in the fray of angry soldiers swinging with weapons.

Tools and weapons :
Name :

Vincent's longsword
Description :
A balanced steel longsword that can be wielded with one or both hands. Often handy when mounted or in some other close quarter situations. Other than that, it has no special inscription or emotional attachment with Vincent. It is sheathed in the scabbard that sides with Vincent's left hip.
Appearance :
Longsword_15006A.jpg
==========

Name :
Short sword
Description :
A sword that isn't as remotely long as the longsword and only be wielded effectively with one hand. With the razor sharp tip, it is more effective with thrusts as it will try to puncture through enemy armor, such as mail. Residing in a scabbard that sides with Vincent's right hip. He can still easily draw the weapon out with his right hand, due the shorter length and weight as well the training that the type of infantry like his unit get.
Appearance :
jk_1601.JPG
==========

Name :
Layered kite shield
Description :
A thick wooden kite shield, reinforced with some metal. It can protect the upper body of a man if held high enough and is small enough to also be used as an offensive weapon. Can be quite painful to get the metal edge being slammed in your face.
Appearance :
Layered_Kite_Shield.png
===========

Skill/Abilities :
Vincent has been trained and experienced with wielding swords and a shield. He has also some experience with riding on horseback, but he prefers not to for obvious reasons that he isn't a very skilled horseman. Though an excellent swordsman, Vincent has almost none to no experience or skill with wielding most ranged weaponry. He can throw a knife quite well, but is a horror with wielding a bow for example. Vincent has also some good reflexes and agility, though don't expect him to perform any cartwheels or great aerobatic movement.

Traits
He is smart, but he isn't the sharpest mind around. Though knowing and being experienced in warfare and being able to write and read, Vincent isn't very keen on learning many new things. He has some basic knowledge of herbs and plants, but isn't able to make fantastic herbal medicines or poison. Just enough to know what one can or can't eat. He has also a healthy understanding of politics and the human body, but that can be due his study at the Academy in Deliar. Other than that, he is quite merciless to many.

I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire.

Name :
Lucilia Tinath
Nicknames :
Lucy (Shorten), Sunshine (Her pet name used by her family and close friends), Riovas (her mother's maiden name which she uses when trying to hide her nobility)
Gender :
Female

Born of low nobility in the House of Tinath. Her father is a squire-turned-knight while her mother is an acclaimed herbalist. She has three older brothers and a younger sister.

Length and build :
Stands at a height taller than most men (Six feet three inches) and built like a fortress. That is to say, underneath the layers of clothing, she is very muscular, as though she has spent years hauling rocks. She has a healthy layer of fat around her stomach and other major muscles that don't take away from her well-toned physique, but also allow her to keep on going even under duress. Not very feminine.
Weight :
Two Hundred Twenty Pounds
Sexuality :
Bisexual, but admittedly would only marry to males.

Appearances :

No dragon unfortunately. Wears a helmet.

Occupation :
Town Guard

Favorite phrase/saying :
"There is more color to this world than black and white."

Favorite Food :
Apple Cabbage Soup and Garlic Bread

Favorite Weather and Season :
Lucilia likes the spring, where the plants are just beginning to bloom. But she also likes cold days, so that she doesn't burn up when she's in her uniform.

Patron God/Goddess :
Brafald, for the obvious reason that she wishes to protect the people using justice as her tool of her trade.

Personality :
Lucilia is a stoic girl, good for a guard, not so much for everything else. It seems like she simply is apathetic to the world as a whole, like she wouldn't shed a tear at her own father's funeral (She won't). But it's just now she's learn to deal with things. Lucilia isn't one to likes to constantly create close personal attachments to everyone and everything; all things physical will be gone one day, and who is she to have to mourn the inevitable? Not that she won't feel sadden by it, she just learned not to show it under the impression that it makes her look weak. But aside from her stone-expression, she has a heart of gold. Or maybe silver, depending on how charitable she is that day. She didn't become a guard just to mooch off the power; she wants to take an active part in helping protect the people of the land, from the royal court to the lowly beggars. While she isn't afraid to dirty her hands in the name of justice, she also won't betray her principles and honor just to fulfill the letter of her credo. She wants to do good the best way she can; sometimes this means following the law, other times it means commanding the law itself.

History :
Lucilia's story began with a knight and a healer. The knight was deathly ill, stricken with a disease that had plagued his family for years. He sought to use his short time on this world to do good, but as he neared his end, he regretted that there was much more to do, and very little time to do it. That's when he met the healer. The healer saw his pain, and she worked hard to alleviate the worse of it. But she was able to do much more. She was able to cure him of his curse. The knight, no longer ill, was able to continue to fight for justice and honor. To thank the anonymous healer the knight took her hand in marriage, to live with him and his family. And that's the basic basics of how Lucilia's parents met. Her father was a knight of House Tinath, while her mother was simply an herbalist who happened to chance upon the knight's sicken body. It was a storybook romance that had a happy ending, that ending involving five children and a family who does well for itself.

As a child Lucilia always loved stories. tales from her father, mother, friends, extended family, complete strangers. The tales of fantasy drew her into a world that seemed magical and awesome. And she wanted to be part of a world like to, to be the hero who vanquishes great evils and brings happiness to the land. Lucky for her, her father was more than willing to show her the ropes of how to uphold justice. While her three older brothers were, at first, much stronger than she was, as they grew older her strength began to surpass their. Only her eldest brother could outdo her in strength and skill, so it came to no surprise that when he reached adulthood he joined the Legion, and attained the rank of Centurion before Lucilia would have been considered a young woman. She too wished to join the legion and fight along side her brother, imagining that he protects the land from the likes of criminals and the barbarians of the north.

And Lucilia was given that chance when she turned eighteen years old herself. Training since she was a little girl, Lucilia was one of the better skilled soldiers of the Legion. Thanks to her father's influence, she was indeed able to work within the same unit as her brother. But that's where this tale stops being so whimsical. Her brother's unit was sent to assist a Legion towards the north, against a growing barbarian tribe that threaten to overrun one of the smaller villages. The battle was a slaughter, but it also showed the true colors of the world. The barbarians, savage as they were, did not come across as mindless monsters in the shape of men. Instead they looked like a mass collation of desperate men and women trying to survive. Lucilia saw cruelty from her people worse than the villains she heard of in stories. This went on for years as her brother was stationed there. Only recently has Lucilia returned to her home city of Hials, where she spends most of her days patrolling the streets for trouble.

Theme song :
We are all one.

Clothing and/or armor :

Lucilia is often seen in her full armor (Image above) when walking the streets, as she is a guard. However she also has more casual attire in the form of fine linen trousers and a tunics. She's still wear her armored boots however, as they're the only footwear she owns. She also has other outfits thanks to her family's status, but they're highly situational attire, such as ballgowns, cold weather clothing, mourning clothing, etc.

Tools and weapons :
Name :
Carnifex the bardiche
Description :
Lucilia's main weapon that she is very skilled at using. Capable of impaling, hacking, or slashing her enemies into slabs of flesh and bones. She received this weapon when she joined her eldest brother against the barbarians of the north.
Appearance :
It is the same weapon in her appearance image. On the blade is written a written engraving: Cast in the name of God, ye not guilty.

==========

Name :
Lanius the Kopis
Description :
Lucilia's sidearm. While not as skilled at it's use as she is with Carnifex, she is more than deadly with it. A parting gift from her brother, who rewarded it to her for her strength in battle.
Appearance :
Kopisblack1.jpg

==========

Name :
Benedictus
Description :
Lucilia's horse. It's five years old, and she received it during her time in the north. A close companion of Lucilia's she would often ride it during patrols. Benedictus also has it's own armor, but Lucilia doesn't put it on him unless she's expecting trouble. Benedictus is a war horse and thus more than capable in a fight, but he's also very intelligent, and knows the difference between an army and a crowd of people. Lucilia can whistle for him and he'll come running.
Appearance :
Red_Dead_Kentucky_Saddler_by_Leashe.jpg

===========

Skill/Abilities :
Skill/Abilities :

Literate - Lucilia knows how to read and write quite well. If she ever decided to put aside the guardsmen life, she could potentially retire as an author.

Skilled Fighter - Lucilia spent six years fighting against the hordes of the north. While they aren't exactly a professional army, Lucilia has fought against many cunning and brutal warriors and came out on top. She fights best with her Bardiche, but can kill with her sword or bare-hands if needed.

Horse Rider - Lucilia and Benedictus are quite a pair together. Benedictus himself is a very fast, very strong horse, and with Lucilia at the reins they can do various maneuvers that would take others years to learn.

Plant Identification - Lucilia has spent some time with her mother, enough that she knows much about the local plants around Hials, such as which ones can sooth a upset stomach and which one will cause you to defecate yourself uncontrollably.

Traits
Lucilia is a level-headed individual who tries not to let the confusion and chaos around her to muddle her thinking process. She can be very authoritative thanks to this, good if someone needs to take commands right than and there, but not so much in more casual situations like what to have for dinner.

Lucilia is also a good-hearted person who only wants to try to help. Granted, she doesn't always do things perfectly, and no good deed goes unpunished, but regardless she'll want to help. Whether you want her to or not.

I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire

Name :
Leeson
Nicknames :
Wordy, an ironic name used because he doesn't often speak, but when he does he tends to talk a lot. He would also sometimes go by Lee if you aren't referring to his father.
Gender :
Male
Age and birthday :
22; Autumn of 1280
Origin :
A commoner in title, but Leeson's ancestors, including his father, was quite favored in some of the lower nobility houses for his skills in the forge. Leeson's family was well known for their general knowledge in metal working, and more importantly, sword crafting. Leeson's great-grandfather learned it from a highly skilled smith from a low nobility, and than passed down the knowledge to his sons.

Length and build :
Leeson stands at around five feet and five inches, and is rather portly. His muscles show that he is a man familiar with hard labor, but his guts also tells that he is a man who eats well. While not certainly as large as other men who lounge on their wealth, Leeson is deceptively larger than his clothing would reveal.
Weight :
Around two hundred pounds
Sexuality :
He is a heterosexual in that he stills to marry a woman, but he would not reject companionship with another man if he offers pleasant company.

===========

Appearances :
a1TCVYP.jpg

Some would say that Leeson looks like a foreigner compared to some of his neighbors, such as his almond shaped eyes, fairly small nose, and other features. And while Leeson does not know exactly where his ancestors originate from (The furthest records are from his Grandfather's, who they only know migrated to Delias, but not from where), his father and his father before him were born and raised in these lands, and each one were a splitting image of each other regardless of the women they were birthed from.

Leeson himself has many scars and burns on his arms due to years in the forge, and his skin has darken to reflect this. One particular feature he tries to hide from the public eye is a scar that goes around his neck; savvy observers could tell that it would had come from a hanging. But since Leeson still lives, it's obvious that he was not killed by it. Not quickly anyways.

===========

Occupation :
Currently Leeson is a blacksmith, though for how much longer is in question.

Favorite phrase/saying :
"Two things can control this world: Gold and Iron."

Favorite Food :
Leeson favors oyster mushrooms, but he likes anything with a spicy taste to it.

Favorite Weather and Season :
Leeson prefers the Autumn, where it's near the end of the harvest season and the sun isn't so harsh, but it's not so cold that one could not enjoy a day outside. Weather wise Leeson actually prefers breezy but sunny days, so that he could go for long walks and keep cool.

Patron God/Goddess :
Though Leeson isn't not a very religious type, when he must pledge his alliance with any god in particular he would chose Iatia, as he sees her as what true perfection is; always outside the reach of mortals, not too look down upon them, but so they know where the next goal lies.

===========

Personality :
As many of his community might tell you, Leeson seems to be a fairly solitary man. Sure, he would speak to people, make his appearance present, but even amongst a crowd he would seem to be alone. Always doing his work, and his time with others often involve their assistance in his work. He's not a trouble maker by far, and indeed if you went to him for help he'll be willing to offer it however he can. He could not simply say no, just try as hard as he can, even if he will fail anyways. But that's what an observation from the outside would be if you don't ask him what he thinks of himself. He would be honest; he does not know if he is a good judge of character, least of all his own. His only desires is to be a person who can be relied on when asked, and to not be a burden otherwise. Leeson is a romanticist trying to be a cynic; he believes and sees the world for it's good and it's benefits, but feels responsible for the flaws and issues, so much that he feels he must confront them regardless if he has any reason to be involved in the first place. In a better world, he could have been a knight in shining armor, wandering the world righting wrongs and doing good for the land for the sake of making it a better place. But he knows these are just fantasies, but even so he tries to make them realities, as small and insignificantly as they tend to be.

That being said, Leeson is not a nice person. He is not an honest person either, and frankly can come across as rather blunt, sometimes even aggressive. To Leeson, he is simply trying to establish himself as someone who is not going to allow others to try to push or manipulate him against his will. His attitude, be it subtly or blatant, is made to convey a sense of control over the situation at hand. Depending on who you are depends on how subtle he'll make his attitude; close friends are more likely to get extreme reactions from him, where as strangers get more neutral, apathetic responses. And while Leeson does believe himself to be an understanding and reasonable person, he is either lying or a worse person than he appears when he still gives harsh judgement regardless of the circumstances. He believes in equality, sure, but it's not a balance; if he were a judge you would be executed for your crimes, be it petty thievery or murder. His ability to stand by his beliefs regardless of the opposition is admirable, but not always right.

History :
Leeson is the first and only child of Lee the Armorer, a well known blacksmith in the city of Delias. His family's claim to fame was that they knew the subtle arts of sword making and armoring, two skills that often take a normal man years to learn, and not both together. Leeson's father would often boast that the knowledge is carried in their blood, and that the sons would know how to work with metal like how a baby would walk. But this was mostly boasting; Leeson was indeed talented in his profession, quickly taking up the hammer and tongs at a young age of ten years. But his crafts consisted mostly of kitchen ware and cutlery; it took him three years of constant practice every day of the week before he was even allowed to start making things such as axe hands and shovels. Leeson's father would have taught him how to create swords and armor when Leeson was at an adult age too, where it not for one fateful day.

It was the spring of 1295. Leeson was fifteen years of age at that time, and while a skilled blacksmith for his age, he was no where near his father's ability. His father could provide arms and armor for ten men in a week, something that made him rather famous in the city. If Leeson could match his father's skill, the two of them could have worked together and raised their family up to at least a low nobility. But Leeson wouldn't get a chance, not for three years. But during the spring of 1295, Leeson's father headed north towards Nuale, to sell their wares there during a grand festival of some sort. But Leeson's father never returned. A month passed since Leeson's father left for his trip, and when Leeson and his mother asked what had become of him, they could only discover that during that time, there was a high rise in bandit activity in southern Nurvlin. In all likelihood, Leeson's father was captured by the bandits, or killed. Leeson never saw his father after that day. And after that day, Leeson's life became to crumble around him.

His mother, grief stricken, married off to another man, a merchant, who left her only son to their family forge. Leeson himself, while skilled in the forge, had no experience on how to run it as a business. For a while, he tried to take care of the forge himself. He did rather well too, for about three years. But by then he soon discovered that for all his skills in working with metals, without his father's knowledge no one cared for what Leeson could do. Blacksmiths who could shape pots and pans were a dime a dozen; Leeson could hardly forge a decent dagger, let alone a masterwork weapon. He tried to get by as a mundane maker of tools and kitchen ware, picking up some knowledge in making chains, locks, hinges, even managed to make himself a fairly decent war axe, but as he grew older his business slowed down. Leeson knew that he had three, maybe five more years before his business would be forgotten, and he'd be forced to sell his family's forge just to survive. Leeson came to terms with his fate, and tried to live the rest of his life as comfortably as he could. He made friends with various people including a mine and smelter owner, and was sweet on an herbalist girl back in his community.

Cut to now, the 1302 year since the empire was formed. Leeson still owns his forge, albeit he only gets by providing pickaxes for the local iron mine and occasionally repairing weapons and armor for local guardsmen. Leeson spends most of his time at the forge trying to make works of art out of the materials he gets, which he can occasionally sale for enough money to keep his shop afloat. Though Leeson has gained the skills to almost emulate his father's ability, he no longer is concerned about trying to keep his forge afloat. Leeson spent much of his time experimenting with whatever metals he gets, making them into shapes and things that he hopes one day would have great use in the future. Sometimes he and a few others in his community would sometimes come together at a tavern and write poetry and sing ballads for more money, but it was mostly for entertainment. When they weren't trying to earn money and company at the tavern, they would be out and about the city, doing foolish youthful antics. One such antics nearly ended with Leeson hanging himself, though he luckily managed to cut the rope before his life was snapped out. Nowadays, the fairly young smith is considering traveling the world, to find a place to settle down or die peacefully.

Theme song :
Tears of the Dragon

===========

Clothing and/or armor :
Leeson wears a dirty woolen robe of sorts that goes a bit towards his knees, pants, gloves, and a strange set of shoes. The robe was blue, but after many years in the forge, it's something of a coal black. He also has some gloves made of wool and deer leather, which he got so his hands would stop getting burnt in the forge. His footwear is strange in that it looks like fairly normal pair of shoes made of cloth, but inside there is wood at the feet, giving his footprints an odd rectangular shape. He also has a leather belt with many loops on it so that he made tie or hang things from them. He also still keeps his blacksmith apron on, which he mainly uses so he has pockets to store things in. The only form of armor he really owns is a strange wood/steel hat, which is actually a buckler, but Leeson doesn't know that.

Tools and weapons :
=======
Name :
Bow Staff
Description :
A rather ingenious creation; it appears to be a bog standard wooden staff, but Leeson has treated the wood in such a way that he can use it not only for general stick purposes, but he can also turn the simple staff into a deceptively efficient longbow.
Appearance :

Name :

Description :
A dagger Leeson made for situations that require things to be cut or stabbed. He calls it a ring dagger because he put a ring near the hilt so that he could fasten it onto his staff and make it into a spear.

Skill/Abilities :
Smithing - Leeson is a very talented smith, and has even learned the subtle nuances of sword making and armoring. He is more than able to make more mundane items such as kitchen ware, farm tools, chains, locks, and even has experimented with other things that people may either see as useless garbage or great ingenuity in disguise.

Reading/Writing - Unlike some commoners, Leeson is actually literate in the common script. While he's never read any books, he's something of an amateur poet and often writes in his journal his daily observations, notes, and poems.

Young and Healthy - Despite his appearance, Leeson is quite an athletic fellow, a fast runner and a bit of an acrobat (He can do a backflip). He's hauled his own ore from a mine before and is accustomed to traveling long distances with a heavy load, to the point that a hundred pounds on his shoulders may as well be his evening wear.

Archer - Though Leeson does his best to keep this skill a secret, he's a decent archer. He learned how to use a bow thanks to some friends in the town, but honed it poaching when he is suffering through some lean months.

===========
Traits
Could be considered a quiet type as he doesn't seem to speak out, but when he does, oh boy, he says a lot. Most of it is rambling, but if you could piece together his thoughts you might be able to get an understanding of what he's trying to say.

Leeson is fairly creative, though not to say that he's all that impressive with his creations. What he makes is quaint and maybe something worth conversing about, but hardly anything life changing. Usually. Often, Leeson is able improvises tools and such with whatever is around him. Usually it involves a lot of rope.

One could say that Leeson has something of a noble spirit. He does not simply stand down when faced with injustice, especially noticeable since he's just a commoner. Always willing to lend a hand, to stand up for his fellow man (Or woman), and will give as much as he can get. Though there are times were he seems to be rather confrontational, he does so out of good intentions.

I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire

Patron God/Goddess :
Raven doesn't necessarily believe in any of the gods but he does take interest in them, Skelatia and Araos mostly since who he is and his views on life reflect with what they represent. Skelatia because he's secretive, and believes death comes to everyone one way or another for one reason or another no matter how many times someone tries to avoid it. He changed his name to Raven after hearing descriptions of her holding the head of one, and also wears his hood constantly because she does so. Araos because Raven is an intelligent individual and believes that intelligence can overcome all, as well he's selfish just like Araos is claimed to be. He keeps lesser known information to himself unless he can get something out of telling someone.

Although he doesn't care for Nayios, Raven will play along just to appeal to the children :)

Skills
Skill/Abilities :
(What are the things your character can do? Remember that this is the section for things they are able to do. Thus being more things they have learned, such as swordfighting, horse riding and such. Do keep it reasonable as not every commoner and their neighbour could write and read. Or found that necessary.)

Traits
(Other traits and such, such as 'can sing pretty well'. Keep in mind that it shouldn't conflict with the skills and abilities of the character. That and some traits can be considered subjective. Such as the 'can sing pretty well'. A character of another player maybe finds it horrible, for example.)

You are vaguely familiar to me as well, Expollo.

Expollo...Vaguely familiar...If it helps we were in a Walking Dead RP together back on RPG, then you joined my AoT RP that I ended due to lack of motivation. Then there was one more but I forget ♪

Lucius, both CS's seem fine with me, and while I happily say accepted, I would wait until one of the other GM's approve them as well.

So, its either Aliceee or Gerontis that need to approve you as well. :P

@Lucius Cypher

Haaaai! Good to see you're around and joining again. x3
(Sorry about last time. I had it too busy with school and main focus was on another RP.)

But time to review your characters. From a quick skim, they are probably just like the ones on RPG.

Accepted.

---Leeson

Accepted, though I am a bit doubtful about the bow staff. I am going to still be easy on the realism as with the different ethnic appearances, but will try to be more realistic about weapons and armor. I find the idea nice as it is deceptive and cunning, which is always a plus with me. The problem is that a longbow is roughly the size of the height of an average man. That allows the user to make a long draw, to at least the jaw. If it is a staff, that means it is a very long one. If the staff is shorter, thus harder to be recognized as a bow of any sort, then it does mean the range is much shorter.

Not want to seriously nitpick or have the tone that I will not accept it, I do want to suggest that an experienced soldier could potentially see through the deception. Just want to give a fair warning. ^^

Regardless of that, accepted.

Edit : Sorry Lucius. I didn't know that if I did @ and then a name, as I just used Lucius of Lucius Cypher that I would tag you. Very sorry for doing that. :C

It's cool Alice. And yeah, I don't mind the limitations. The Bow Staff isn't "Perfect", as despite it's ingenuity an actual longbow would serve better as a bow than Leeson's Bow Staff. But considering that it looks and feels like a staff, it's all the more impressive when Leeson needs to use it as a bow. Or a fishing rod! Or flail. Really, this staff can be lots of things with enough rope. Though the staff is about his height, so maybe it's more akin to a short bow. Either way, a real bow would serve better, but a Bow Staff is easier to carry around without suspicion. The trick is that it's obviously not a bow, but as you said, a sharp eye for someone with the attention to detail might notice that there's something up with Leeson's stick. It's a magical staff, surely.

I would like to join and I will be making my char, but just wondering, is the signup going to close or is open for some time? o.o

I'm pretty sure it's still open :)

I think that depends on the amount of players and chars we'll have. So we'll wait and see.

@Expllo, the sheet so far looks good, but you should finish up the personality and History, only then the GM's can accept it. You should add a description to your items though.

Yeah, I know. I just haven't had time to work on it with what's been going on. I aim to finish it sometime soon, but I (try to) update Alice on my progress nonetheless.

I will have my second character done by Monday, this weekend will kind of eat away my time. Stupid preparations and such for the coming test week.

Sorry had a busy weekend, but will catch up and start writing for my own second character sheet. That and I aim to have the IC up coming Thursday. ^^

This looks like it could be interesting story but I was just wondering if there was a full list of the Gods/Goddesses, might just be that I am having a hard time finding it.
