Edit: Fixed so that it's clear overwhelming speed doesn't have a limited amount of uses.
Edit 2:Fixed it again so that it's clear Overwhelming Speed's non-combat bonus is a passive ability [Gotta go fast!]
Edit 3: Fixed formatting because it disappears when you edit! Yay!
I am up way too late and can't think up appropriate words
Aughuu
(Yes I am using a magical girl as an appearance.)
@Asuras
Name: Eleena Ijin
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Eleena is a young girl with a slim but athletic build. Unmistakable as a female with her ample proportions, she also dresses rather lightly. She dislikes clothes, especially baggy ones, and yet likes the feeling of catching the wind on them. This leads to her rather minimal way of dressing, with flowing accessories like a headband and two-part jacket. Her hair is a bit shorter than medium, and is a
lighter blue in color. Her eyes are a
turquoise color, but when Electric Soul is in full swing, the pupils turn concentric and their color becomes a ferocious and intimidating
yellow.
Faction: Guardians
Personality:
In short, Eleena is someone who believes she can make the world a better place. A hero. More than willing to work for another person's happiness, that is her own joy. She never thought about it being 'her purpose in life,' nor does she dream of 'making the world a better place.' She simply lives that way without thinking, as if it were as simple as breathing. Her hobby, her job, her duty... She considers it none of those things. When asked about it, about why she's like that, why she works herself so hard for others, she'll simply reply:
"Because I want to be a hero." Simply that, without any actual reason to wanting to be a hero.
It is this that leaves her distant to others and even somewhat empty inside. While the singular desire of heroism drives her life, it leaves everything else behind. Eleena is easily bored, quick to complain, and only has a sparse amount of interests. That said, she can be quite the motor-mouth, takes interest in others and smiles quite frequently. While it's easy to approach and get close to her, it's impossible to get personal. As if that place doesn't exist, Eleena doesn't even consider the possibility of anyone coming any closer than a friend. Camaraderie, Family, Love, and even a trusting relationship all seem foreign to her. Like they are from different species, she considers a person a person, and nothing more.
Although the defining trait of Eleena's personality is a sense of heroics, she isn't naive about it. She accepts that which can't be changed. Although she wants to be a hero, she'll never consider herself one. It's an impossible goal, and she realizes that. Thing's aren't so simple that she can 'save everyone.' So she settles for what she can do, and what she can try to change. Who she can save, right now. Even if disaster struck and hundreds died, if she saved one person... even if she failed to save everyone else... even if she was mortally wounded... then she could still smile.
Short Biography:
Perhaps the most notable aspect of Eleena's history was that both her parents were champions who died in combat. Too young to remember them, the parent figure in her life was her grandfather on her father's side. As she was pushed to be like a father and mother she knew nothing about, he was the calm and gentle side of her life. Where she would be broken by rigorous training, he would be waiting at home, grinning with a bowl of soup for her.
The most defining and changing moment of her life was not the death of her Grandfather, or The First Sentence. It was a much earlier event, one that at this point she can't even remember. After about a year of training, she had been designated as one with low potential. She had gone to her first new training session, one that was far more rougher than previous ones. Time after time she was knocked down and expected to get back up. And eventually she couldn't. They left her there, saying simply that training for the day was done. Her body was soul all over, and she began to wonder why she was doing all of this. She would have lay there until the day passed, had it not been for the simple image of her Grandfather waiting.
She had left then, doubtful yet hoping that he was still there at the corner of the street. She didn't know how much time she had wasted, but it was already dark. When she reached there... Eleena didn't see him. Sick and tired and with no relief, she fell down on her back and looked skywards. ... Twilight was so empty. No sun, and only a few stars poked through. And then suddenly he was there, standing above her. And offering a hand. Her grandfather, there with a genuine warm smile, said:
"I'll help you up." It was then that the most important thought of her entire life lazily drifted through her mind before leaving again.
Wouldn't it be great if everyone could smile and help up those who fell down?
That thought, shaped her entire personality and future.
That memory, distant and forgotten just like the words, left behind only a feeling.
A gentle and yet determined feeling.
One that drove her desires, making her put everything into her training.
It was a complicated yet simple feeling, and it translated into these words:
"I want to be a hero."
Stats:
Might - 2
Finesse - 5
Fortitude - 3
Health - 3
Speed - 18
Perception - 1
Abilities:
Overwhelming Speed:
If Eleena has at least twice the speed of her opponent, she can use this ability to gain an extra turn. This ability cannot be used again for two turns.
(O= Eleena, X = Enemy: OOX OX OX OOX.... [Repeating])
Additionally, this ability passively gives large amounts of additional speed in non-combat RP situations, or combat ones that don't rely on stats.
Electric Soul:
Gives electrical generation based on her willpower and emotions. This electricity can only be used in close melee range (but can extend a bit past her reach.) Her main source of damage.
In combat based situations, the power increases based on how many 'charges' the opponent has on them. Charges can be applied on both attack and defense. For a charge to be applied, she must be attacking or defending in close-range with the opponent, or a conductive item that is touching the opponent. [Charges do no damage themselves, only increase the damage of future attacks.]
After a charge has been applied, Eleena is able to 'discharge' that one and any other existing charges, doing damage.
Heroic Second Wind:
When enough damage is dealt to Eleena that she would be unable to continue the battle, her
Electric Soul goes into overdrive, generating a large amount of electricity. This creates a high-powered burst that removes negative effects from inside and around her body, additionally knocking back things around her. Combat wise, this 'nullifies' the damage from the attack that would have previously finished her off, leaving her at the health before-hand. It then becomes Eleena's turn again.
This ability can only be used once per battle.
RPwise, does not remove the lethality of any damage done to her.
Equipment:
---
Padded Light Metal Gloves: While too lightweight to provide much protection, they are quite comfortable to wear in a fight. Even though they can't stop a swing, they can still touch or grab a relatively still weapon (to conduct electricity) without much worry of cutting up her hands. The right gauntlet has a larger chunk of metal around it to act more like a shield, though it still isn't that durable.
---
Padded Light Metal Boots: Similar in fashion to the gloves, these have metal on the outside with comfortable cloth on the inside to allow for comfort while moving at high speeds. Metal studs are on the bottom to add good traction, as well as a bit of oomph to her kicks.
---
2x Water Canteens: Used for drinking. Because people get thirsty. Oh, I suppose it can also be used for some battle tactics.
