The School

If Yorik hadn't taken the time to talk to Ari, they might've still known each other. They did inhabit the same dorm. So... they might have spoken eventually. Ari didn't like what if's either... the moment you begin thinking about them, they seem to devour your mind and you start to believe that the what if is real. She felt Yorik squeeze her hand and she leaned her head against his shoulder after he did. Maybe she would have been with another man if they hadn't met. She felt herself cringe a bit at that idea, for she couldn't picture herself standing beside any other person besides Yorik. She didn't want to be with any other person but Yorik.

As he approached her with a shovel in hand, she tilted her head when she eyed the object. With a slightly raised eyebrow, she wondered, Why does he have a shovel...? Ari then shook her head, dismissing the thought and telling herself that she shouldn't question it. Not now... she decided that she would ask later. Once again, she slipped her hand into Yorik's and laced their fingers together, letting out a soft sigh of relief as their bodies connected again. "Shall we head to class?" She asked, reaching into her pocket once again to retrieve a paper schedule, unfolded it, then began inspecting the typed words.

Hopefully she wasn't going to ask about the shovel right away..It would've taken a while to explain it. Her look was one that showed she was curious about it and what he was possibly hiding from her. Even though he was going to be completely honest about why he had it and what he did before he came to this school..The thought of telling it all to Ari, such a sweet girl...Hopefully she wouldn't see him differently. It was just what he did..Nothing about him changed until he met her.

"Yes, let us go...I hope we're not too late."

It felt strange not holding Ari's hand for those few moments. He grew quite used to it so fast that not having it laced to his own felt like he lost a part of his body or something. He leaned over to try and read the paper she pulled out...Was that their schedule? Or just hers?..Oh! It was that paper he found when he first came..Right right..Reaching into his coat pocket, he pulled out his own paper..How it was organized quite frankly confused him greatly.

Bits of burgundy hair had fought loose from the rubber band holding in her shoulder cut hair, blowing free in the breeze. Tapping filled the walk as the lone female for the moment pulled out a map and twisted and turned it around, looking for any markers of the path but only the shapes of building and lines for roads and paths reflected in the dark oval shape of the glasses.

"Where in the hell have I gotten myself into?" She said, licking her chapped lips to wet them as her voice carried to slip on the winds and wine into the trees along the path. Some how she must of have turned down a wrong way having gone from side walk to hike in a bit of walking, loosing sight of the buildings over the tree lines.

Pulling off the sunglasses, russet eyes lay narrows under extensive dark lashes as they narrowed in play while the mind tired to get a sense of this place. This so called school had no patterned in the layout but looked like some puzzle gone array by a two year old hands in the map given to her at the office just two hours ago to her dorm. Oh having been raised in city, you learned to get around on trail and error but this time error was not going to help, being lost in the woods at night was no place for a lone female of barely 17 in age and body.

Pinching the bridge of her nose in thoughts, Adia paused and strained her ears for some kind of break in natures noise for something human maybe or in the looks of this place, it might not be.

"Oh dear..." Ari tilted her head and moved the paper in a million different directions. How in the world could someone read this... thing... and understand it? Somewhat of a frown formed on her lips as she looked at the schedule. Maybe an instructor could help us... Ari then shook her head... No, she sighed as they were once again walking through the congregation of students. She looked around, searching for someone that looked like they could help. She saw no instructors, no one that looked like a teacher... it was just her and Yorik in the middle of a sea of students. She found herself pulling herself closer to Yorik again, and she peered at his schedule. "Hey..." She smiled, "Yours looks kind of similar to mine." Her eyes then found their way to Yorik's.

So... they had the same dorm, and they possibly had a few of the same classes together? Okay... maybe this school wont' be so bad after all. The smile stayed on her lips and her eyes were fixated on Yorik's... but her gaze fell from his as one of the students shoved Ari's shoulder forward and continued on forward, pushing their way through the crowd. Ari nearly fell forward, and would have if she hadn't had Yorik there to cling to. She sighed in relief, happy that she didn't take Yorik down to the ground with her. "I wonder what his problem is." She said softly, almost whispering.

Ben nodded. He took her hand and walked out of the room, looking around. He combed his bangs over one of his eyes for that sexy look. He smiled to himself then looked at his school schedule. "Crap!" he exclaimed. "Math..." he growled to himself.

So many ways to go..So many possible choices.Yorik couldn't make heads or tails of anything and wanted nothing more than to toss the schedule aside and just wing his way. But he couldn't do that, Ari surely wouldn't allow him to. He followed Ari, as she tried to get some help regarding findings classes and sort. How were so many students in the hallway and not one authority figure wasn't? Shouldn't they monitor it just in case a fight or something was to break out? They had to break free of this current and try to find a sign or something that told what floors had what classes..Such chaos!

"They do..Seems like we'll get more time together."

His eyes lighted up with joy at the thought of having classes with Ari, he could sit next to her! And at least if he was having trouble she could help him if she understood what was being taught. The sudden impact of the student hitting into Ari's shoulder and passing through the crowd instantly caught Yorik's attention..How rude! He placed his hand on her shoulder then yelled out. "LEARN TO LOOK WHERE YOU ARE RUNNING! MINDLESS BAG OF FLESH!" Shaking his head at the person who was still running down the halls.

Ari covered her mouth with her schedule as Yorik yelled at the boy who shoved into her shoulder. She was hiding her smile and hopefully stifling the giggle that had erupted from between her lips. She gently squeezed his hand to let him know that everything was alright, and that she was fine. She then rested her head against his shoulder as they walked and began wondering what her classes would be like. Being in classes with Yorik would be... great! They would be able to help eachother with things that they didn't understand, possibly work together on projects, sit next to each other... sit next to each other! Her smile widened and she squeezed his hand happily. She liked being close to Yorik. Yeah, they might not be able to hold hands that way, but at least they'd be close... as long as they were close, Ari would be the happiest person in the world.

As they continued on, Ari spotted one of the instructors. She knew he was an instructor because of the name tag adorned on his shirt. Quickly, she moved over to his position, dragging Yorik along behind her. As she approached the instructor, she showed him her schedule and expressed her confusion with how it was set up. He smiled down at her kindly and spoke, then Ari began to blush as he let her know that the room she was looking for was just next to them. How embarrassing... she thought to herself, and her blush reddened as she said thank you to the man. She then turned to Yorik, and bit her lip."I guess our class is right here," she said as she motioned over to the door beside them.

It wasn't like him to just burst out in anger at someone like that..But he was rude for not even bothering to apologize to Ari..Bumping into her like that. Why if he had been in range..Yorik would've..Only to be calmed quickly by her hand squeezing his. A heavy breathe escaping his air passage. He rubbed his cheeks against her head, messing her hair up just a tad..But surely she would be able to fix it. Yorik began to ponder the class life, what was it like? He understood the idea of having someone teach him and other students stuff..But there had to be more to it all..One thing was for sure..He wanted to sit next to Ari, and not some complete stranger..At least he could periodically flirt with her if he was given the chance. Plus, they bonded well with each other and made an interesting combo that could probably knock out assignments with ease.

Yorik followed Ari to the man with the nametag. He looked like a strange fellow, so..Normal. He thought this was a school for those who possessed unusual abilities and such? Maybe he did, he was just hiding it or had control of...Course, Yorik was one to talk..He carried a shovel with him..Guess there's no point in arguing that. Also finding it sort of funny that he was the instructor for the class they were supposed to go to. Hopefully he wouldn't bother him too much. "Yep..Seems like it, let's head on inside, shall we dear?" Yorik motioning for Ari to go inside first.

Ari had felt Yorik get tense when he yelled at the boy.. It was like he was holding something back. But what? What was he holding back, and why... She wanted to ask, but figured that now wasn't the time. When they were alone, maybe. But she couldn't help but wonder what it was... What he hadn't told her yet. Perhaps it was some sort of instinct that he had developed. She shivered as she felt his breath roll over her skin and smiled, squeezing his hand again. She wanted him to feel comfortable and calm... Because wasn't that how everyone wanted to feel? Tense and aggrivating situations were something that people typically avoided, so she figured that she'd steer herself and Yorik clear of those situations.
"Why, thank you, kind Sir," she said with a giggle and a curtsy, then entered the classroom with Yorik behind her. It was a relatively small room... There were maybe 16-17 chairs in the room. There were a few posters on the walls, at the back of the room tere was a chalkboard, and at the front, a whiteboard. There were a few students already in the room, their books on their desks and they were mingling and talking... it seemed like they couldnt talk fast enough. Almost likr their life depended on how fast they spoke or how many words they said. She chuckled and shook her head, and her eyes wandered to the back of the room, where there were two empty seats, side by side. She smiled and pointed to the seats. "How about there?"

Yorik felt like a gentlemen allowing Ari to into the room first. His temper finally sated, thanks to her. She had some sort of effect that would calm him down and also make him incredibly nervous and sweet. It was really strange..Like she had such control over him, even though she wasn't trying to really control him. Yorik let a loose breath out and re-laced their hands again while they entered the classroom. It didn't look that threatening or any of the things he heard in the past..It was small, but still could fit a good number of people. It was interesting to see two boards..One that used markers and the other used chalk..What was the reason behind that?

"Seems perfect for us."

Yorik felt a sense of relief. Relief that there were a set of seats just for him and his girl. The chatter of the students was a bit nerving to listen to though. They were talking about such strange and irrelevant things..Like they didn't care about this school or anything else except what they were talking about! Argh..What a long day it was going to be, but it wouldn't be that bad..Least he was going to experience something new and exciting, school. When they reached the pair of seats at the desks, Yorik made sure to keep up his politeness by pulling out the seat.
"For the lovely, madam."

Ari breathed out a small sigh of relief as she felt Yorik relax. It made her happy to know that she was able to calm him down. She hoped that he didn't think that she wanted to control him. Because she didn't. All she wanted was for him to be happy... but she didn't want to... make him be happy. She wanted to help him be happy. She gently stroked his arm as they made their way to their seats. Ari watched her feet as they were placed gently on the ground, one after the other. Usually, her mind would wander. But she was able to concentrate... for the first time in... forever, she could concentrate. Having attention deficit disorder, she really wasn't able to concentrate on much of anything. But with Yorik around... she felt like if she was with him... well, she felt like that she could not only concentrate, but... do anything. She smiled and blushed, moving her eyes from her feet to the desk before them. "Thank you again," she said softly, trying her best to make as much of a British accent as she could as Yorik pulled out her chair for her. She slowly moved over to the chair, and sat down. She continued to hold his hand and she led him over to his chair beside her.

Pulling out a pack of smokes from her pocket on her leather jacket, letting the scent of the nicotine filled her nose as a fine sign seemed a bit to relax her in putting the tube to her lips and flicking out the lighter as the glow of flame looked warm in the golden hue for a moment. Taking in a deep drag, the closes thing to heaven she had for the moment.

Yes, smoking was a killer habit but hey you only had one life right? "Could have maybe asked for more details in main land marks maybe in the office…." Her soft tone made the smoke drift from her breathe.

She looked around and shrugged in a mild defeat, it might be better to just back step on her tracks and hoping she might run into some other soul in the grounds or find a building with some kind of life. Strangely right now finding people and being with people was one of the reasons the Adia had chosen to leave the city, someone of her well not to normal talents once up set of pissed or any kind of strong deep emotion did not do well in a city setting.

"May as well start walking and hope I see on a something you could label as smart in this place." She milted sounded angry for getting lost but turned down the path and once more set out.

Yorik was happy with Ari. Even though she wasn't controlling anything about him, he just felt like she could make him happy in his angriest times. It sounded confusing in his mind because he was too busy trying to figure out how to word it to make sense..Bascially..Yorik was happy with Ari, and was going to be happy with her. Making sure Ari was set in her seat before moving to his own. Smiling as she led him to his spot right next to her. As he sat down, a picture was painted within his mind..He saw the entire class change into room filled with people kneeling and praising him. Turning his sights to Ari, he saw her in a royal gown..As if she were a queen and he was a King. The image quickly fading as Ari thanked him. He nodded and blushed lightly. "O-Of course, Ari..anything for you!"

Ari was so happy with Yorik! It was like nothing else mattered. She couldn't give a care about anything else - but she knew that certain things did need to be done and taken care of, so those things would matter too... but all that mattered in this moment right now was Yorik. Ari smiled and looked at yoriks hand, then her own, wondering if they were close enough to hold hands. Something felt weird... was... her heart aching? It was like she was longing for his touch. She frowned at the feeling. She didn't like it, but... she remembered that he was there, and that was more than enough to ease the feeling.

Ari tilted her head slightly to the side, noticing that Yorik was in somewhat of a dazed state. Is he alright? As he faded out of whatever it was he was in at the sound of her voice, he studdered... Hmm. She was definitely curious... she decided to ask. "Are... you alright?" she asked softly, in a somewhat concerned tone. She hope that he was alright.

He nodded to Ari. "Yes, I'm sorry..I just had a bit of a daydream.." Blushing a bit more, figuring he should probably tell her. "I had a daydream..Where you and I..were King and Queen of a kingdom..But it was just when I sat down..I thought of it." Twiddling his fingers together for a few moments before reaching over to grab her hand, taking it into his own. It seemed like Ari was a bit off..Was it because they didn't touch for a few moments?..Because he could feel the same thing within his own body..The feel of aching and longing to feel his partner. Honestly, he just wished he could leave class and be with her the rest of the day..Even though it was their first day...Dang. Well, no matter..Soon class would start and he could easily make it through and continue the day along without a care..The only care being them reaching the dorms to relax and recuperate after the day's toll.

Ari blushed hard, and the rouge grew more intense as Yorik took her hand into his. She began to wonder how he pictured it... them together... King and Queen... it could never happen... but... the idea was just amazing. She found herself smiling, and she laced her fingers with his quickly then looked into Yorik's eyes. His touch was so soothing. It made her feel good... and she wanted to feel that as much as she could... but she hoped that she wouldn't seem too clingy. This relief was so new and so wonderful that she wanted to feel it as much and as long as she could... but then again, she didn't want to seem like she needed it... even though... she did.

She couldn't wait to get out of this room... this... building and go back to the dorm. With Yorik. She loved being with him, but being with him in the company of others just didn't feel the same as when they were alone. As the teacher told everyone to quiet down, she sat upright, and felt herself tense. The instructor had a deep voice, and a bulky body to match. He was intimidating. And she didn't like that. She knew that he wouldn't do anything to inflict any... thing upon any of the students... or would he? There must be a reason that he was at this school. The people who attended this school weren't normal by any means. But who was to say what normal was, anyway? Her eyes widened as she realized that her mind had gotten away from her. She lost her concentration...? She looked over to Yorik, a slightly confused expression on her face.

Yorik made sure to keep close to Ari, being without his touch seemed to make her a bit off and he didn't want her in that sort of way. Then again, he also didn't want to crowd her space..He understood that people needed their space and privacy. Keeping his hand tightly around her, he leaned quickly to nuzzle her blush. Figuring he could probably get something cute in before the teacher got in the room. Long as Ari could feel the touch of his hand at least, surely that would suffice until later. Yorik had an idea though..If they wanted to continue holding hands..they could probably get away with it under the desk.

When the teacher walked in, he reminded Yorik of a typical bully. The way he looked was intimidating and fierce, he probably had his share of bullying kids back in his early days. Yorik hoped that wasn't the deal and that he was actually a good person..He couldn't stand bullies. Yorik look towards Ari, noticing her expression. Placing his hand on her back, letting her know everything was fine, he was here. No..He wasn't going to let this big odd shaped teacher make his girl uneasy..They came here to get what they needed from class, then go back to the dorms..Where they could just relax, talk, and possibly cuddle and talk. Yeah..those were pleasant thoughts..He should just keep to those!

Ari closed her eyes and smiled, a soft purring sound escaping her mouth as Yorik nuzzled her cheek... and she felt better. She turned her attention back to the teacher, who didn't seem very scary anymore. He made some mutterings that she couldn't really understand, but the other students tore out a piece of paper from their notebooks. She wondered why they would take it out. It was already in there, so they might as well leave it. She looked down and shook her head, then removed a piece of paper from her own notebook. Looking over at Yorik, she asked, "Do you need paper?" She wanted to help Yorik in any way that she could. She smiled at him sweetly and tore out another piece of paper and offered it to him.

A purr? How..interesting. Yorik didn't expect Ari to make such a sound..A sound that was very inviting for him to continue nuzzling her. But he didn't wish to upset the teacher on the first day. Yorik pulled himself back from Ari hesitantly..But he knew he was going to have focus on the class now. Unfortunately he didn't bring anything to write with or on..He only brought his shovel, which wasn't going to be very useful at this point in time. Ah..Thank goodness for Ari, she had his back definitely. Smiling as he took the paper from her.
"Thank you..I didn't bring anything..So I might have to bug you again during the day."

Ari leaned toward Yorik as he moved away, but then straightened back when the teacher began to speak again. She quickly slid the paper across the desk and placed it in front of him, then reached into her bag to find a writing utensil of some sort. After searching for a few moments, she came upon a pencil, smiled, then placed it beside Yorik's paper. She nodded to herself approvingly and smiled again. She like being prepared for things. So she always brought at least one extra of everything, if she could.

Ari then frowned. What class is this? She thought to herself and looked around at the posters, hoping that they would provide some clues. Looking down at her schedule, she noticed another flaw in it's set up: it told you where the class was, who the instructor was, but didn't tell you what the class was. "Do... you know what class this is?" she asked, leaning over towards Yorik and whispering softly under the loud voice of the teacher.
