Yorik took the pencil, examining it intently for a few moments as he placed it upon the paper ready to write! As he moved his hand...He realized, he forgot how to write. How..embarrassing. Looking over at Ari, then back to his paper..He knew he was going to have to make it look like he knew what he was doing. Slowly writing on the paper covering it up with his arm. Yorik did his best to try and copy everything that was being written..But he just couldn't copy it to save his life, a heavy sigh escaping his lips. Yorik nervously turned to Ari when started talking..Did she notice he was writing gibberish and scribbles? Oh..No..she just wanted to know what class it was..Good question..Scratching his head he looked around, nothing useful told him..And he couldn't rely on his notes because they were just blobs.

"I'm not entirely sure..Maybe if we keep listening we can get a better idea."

Ari's eyes wandered over to Yorik's page and she noticed that he was struggling with something... She tilted her head slightly to the side and then noticed that he was copying her notes. She smiled, looked at her own paper, tilted it so that Yorik could read it better, and began writing slower. She wanted to help him out as best she could. She then raised an eyebrow, noticing that not only was he having trouble with copying her notes, but was also having trouble with writing the words and letters. "I can make you a copy of my notes later if you want," she said softly in a whisper, her eyes cast on the teacher to make sure he didn't see her leaning towards Yorik. She didn't want him to yell. The thought of someone yelling at her caused her to cringe, but she made her body relax as quickly as she could as she continued writing down notes. "I think it's some sort of science," she noted after noticing a poster of a periodic table on one of the walls.

Trying to make it seem like he did know what he was doing wasn't working so well. Yorik sighed and noticed that Ari was offering her notes to him to copy. That was a kind act by her, but if he wasn't able to even write his own name..There wouldn't be much good in it. However, he wasn't going to show that he didn't like that and continued to write as if he knew what he was doing. She was a savior though, offering to copy her notes for him..Least he could read them and were much more legible than his own. "Please?..I'm having trouble..Thank you,..love you." He added at the end..Oh no..Was that too soon? Damn it! Surely the wrong time..He looked towards the teacher hoping Ari perhaps didn't hear that and he could act like he didn't say it yet. "Yes..Yes..This must be science indeed!" Responding quickly and looking towards the periodic table.

It was obvious to Ari that Yorik was having a difficult time... but she could help him. She didn't mind that at all. I'll just make a copy of these when we get back to the dorms, she thought with a smile. The teacher spoke fast - she had to admit that she was having a bit of difficulty as well. Her words and letters were scribbled hastily - they were barely legible! But at least it was her own handwriting, and she'd be able to read it. I might as well make another copy for myself as well, she thought as the teacher paused and thoughtfully pressed the eraser of her pencil to her bottom lip and began to tap it. She again was startled by his abrupt and booming voice and immediately her pencil was once again in contact with the paper.

"I'd love to help you..." she said, but stopped after he said "love you". She blushed, of course, but... her face was as red as a rose. She slowly looked up at Yorik with a smile fixed on her lips, "Love you too..." she whispered, her face turning even redder - if that was even possible. She didn't think it was too soon... if it felt like the right time, say it! And if you hadn't even thought about saying it before you actually do say it... then it's definitely the right time.

What on earth was this teacher saying? He was talking fast and with such strong vocabulary. Yorik had a hard time understanding anything that was coming out his mouth. Placing his arms on the desk and just blankly staring forward with a puzzled look. A sigh left his lips as he turned a bit to Ari, wondering if she was taking notes of not. Even if she was trying hurriedly keep in pace with the instructor..She certainly did it better than he did...Oh well least he was going to get a copy of whatever she managed to write down.

Yorik blushed a bit more when he heard her say it back. He couldn't believe she did! It was like he could just reach over and kiss her right in the middle of the lesson and get yelled at and not give a care. So they both felt 'love.' They both confessed their feelings, share their first kiss, and now said the word that stamped everything..Love. His mind and body were just untouchable..Nothing or no one could get to him..He was just in the peak of happiness. Was it time to leave yet? Time to move onto the next class? Yorik just wanted to get a few moments alone with Ari, just to tell her in private.

Ari breathed a sigh of relief as the other students began putting their things away and the teacher started talking about what was going to be happening next class. Her eyes found their way to the clock, which seemed to be ticking slowly... and loudly. She began putting her things away as well, and turned to Yorik.

Then the teacher said something about there being only one class a day? Ari put on a puzzled expression and looked to the teacher, who began explaining his previous statement. Something about how having only one class a day allows students to devote more time and concentration to that subject? She didn't really know... she was looking at Yorik again and her mind was gone... well, not gone... but she could only think about him. She smiled. "I guess this is the only class?" then shrugged and threw her bag over her shoulder.

Time had seemed to gone by faster than Yorik thought. Seemed the end of the class was already here, the other students were already putting away their things. Strange, Yorik didn't even really do anything productive, just mainly stared off into space and glanced over at Ari more than he usually did. Looking back at Ari, then towards his own stuff..The only thing he brought was his shovel which he picked up and placed on the desk.

Having one a class day? That just sounded too easy..There had to be more to it. The teacher mentioned how hard students would be working if there was other classes, leaving them completely stressed. While the concept was a good one..It just seemed there was more to this one class a day deal that the teachers weren't telling the students. But for now it would be best not to worry until more signs showed. Yorik looked at Ari, his smile reforming quickly. "It seems that way..Let's go then shall we?" Rising up from his seat and walking around her seat and standing beside her, offering his hand to her.

Ari herself began to question the logic behind the one class a day deal. She too started wondering if there was a catch... Then she looked at the teacher, who was laughing hysterically. Told the students that he couldn't believe that they had been so gullible. Ari frowned. She didn't like being made a fool of, neither did anyone else, but she felt embarassed. "Oh dear, I feel like an idiot," she breathed, still frowning and her cheeks turning pink. Her frown turned into somewhat of a pout as she began thinking about how wonderful a class a day would have been.

"I guess that he was joking," she said softly, then shrugged. She slipped her hand into his and stood up, then smiled at Yorik. She loved him. He made her smile. Her thoughts are starting to become redundant, but the feelings and thoughts became truer and truer everytime they crossed her mind. He made the bad things disappear.

As they stepped out of the classroom, Yorik could hear the teacher laughing...Laughing, at how he fooled them. This made Yorik uneasy and flash back to a memory in time. The memory was when he was in school during the days where the teachers would hit you with a ruler if you did something wrong or if they just felt like it. It was the day Yorik told the story of how he played make-believe and that one day he was going to be a King! The story caused everyone to laugh at him, and the teacher to not only laugh but make him sit in the corner with a dunce cap on. Never feeling so embarrassed, degraded, humiliated in his life. This teacher that was laughing at how gullible they were...That just made Yorik imagine they were the same.

Yorik could tell Ari wasn't pleased with being duped, as well as the other students. Tightly clutching his shovel, Yorik walked back into the classroom and approached the teacher who was still getting quite a kick out of it until he noticed Yorik standing there. Yorik didn't say anything to him, instead he whacked the teacher in the head with the shovel. A loud clang of the shovel was bound to attract attention from other rooms. Yorik just stared at the teacher who was laying on the floor, did he regret his actions? No..A joke that didn't need to be played on beginning students who would actually believe that there was one class a day.

Looking back to Ari..Oh no..Ari...What was thinking now? Yorik finally refocused on everything. He realized what he did and frowned a bit then sighed softly. "I'm..sorry..Ari..I just didn't want you to be laughed at..." It was true, Yorik knew that she wasn't fond of being joked with or anything. But, would she find him bad? Cruel? Mean? Probably she wouldn't want to known as his girlfriend anymore. Such thoughts made Yorik feel even guiltier and sadder. "I..Love you.." He muttered softly to her.

More than anything, Ari was shocked. Yorik... hit the teacher... with his shovel... Honestly, Ari wanted to laugh, but being as shocked as she was, she was unable to laugh. Why she wanted to laugh, she didn't know. For some odd reason, people in society tend to get a kick out of the physical pain of others. If an actor in a movie got kicked or somehow hit in the groin, it was hilarious. Schadenfreude - pleasure derived from the misfortune of others is what it was, she guessed. She too found it funny, and now she knew why, but not why it happened. Her mind shrugged the thoughts away and she returned her attention to Yorik.

He looked guilty... and he was frowning. She frowned too - she didn't want Yorik to feel that way. She approached him slowly and slipped her arms around his torso and pulled him into a hug. As she rested her head on his chest, she began rubbing his back gently. She didn't want him to feel any discomfort... and if he thought that hitting someone with a shovel would make her leave, was wrong. She had seen many interesting, weird, and violent things in her life, and this was most definitely something to add to that list, but it didn't phase her, really. She was shocked by the action, but it the shock had faded when she realized that the teacher most definitely had something coming to him.

"Shh... don't be sorry. It's fine. He had it coming, anyway," she said with a smile, then lifted her head to meet his eyes with hers, "And I love you," she added, and pressed her lips gently on his cheek. She wondered if Yorik would suffer any sort of punishment... she sure hoped that he wouldn't. I mean... the teacher was instigating a conflict - though perhaps unintentionally - but what would a teacher expect to get from a class of students that were considered to be extraordinary in some way? A hug and a pat on the back? If that was what he had been expecting, he most certainly wasn't fit to instruct a class in such a school.

Yorik sighed softy, he could hear footsteps on their way to get him. It was only a matter of time before they were dragging him off to the Principal's office. Even though the teacher deserved it fully, Yorik wasn't one to take a joke like that, and putting that joke on his girlfriend made it even worse. Hopefully, if he woke up anytime soon...He wouldn't make the same mistake. Yorik turned away from the motionless teacher and walked forward only to be greeted by Ari who embraced him in a hug.

It was a relief she wasn't upset with him, a slight sigh escaping his lips showed this. Dropping his shovel instantly wrapping his own arms around her figure. Yorik closed his eyes and remembered all the good things again, and how Ari and him first came to be...Yes..Such positive thoughts..Swarming over the unpleasant thoughts rather quickly. How calming and soothing he felt by the feel of her hands dancing around on his back. Yorik felt much more at ease, his smile slowly returning as he tilted his head to match eyes with Ari.

"I did it for you..It was a cruel joke, Ari." Smiling fully proud of what he did to her. Yorik leaned forward about to embrace her in a kiss when other teachers and staff had finally reached the room and saw the unconscious teacher laying on the floor, Yorik, and his shovel. The staff were irate and one of them began to call for paramedics, the damage Yorik caused might have been serious. While Yorik's arms had been taken hold of by two of the staff members as they escorted him out of the room. "I'll meet you back at the dorm, my love.." Was the last thing he said before he was completely out of distance.

Ari's eyes drifted from Yorik's down to the unconscious teacher for a moment. She then nodded to herself, assuring herself again that he had it coming. It wasn't that she was in some way trying to justify Yorik's action, but was trying to sate her shock. Had she brought a shovel with her, she most definitely would have hit him as well. Square in the face, even. She didn't feel intimidated by the teacher anymore... though he was big, had a deep voice and was rather scary looking... seeing him in that situation lying on the floor made her feel much better. Seeing that someone can be just as vulnerable as her made her think about what and who else could be put into that position.

His smile brought a smile to her lips, he seemed geniunely happy - and proud. She puts her lips firmly against his and held herself against him. "My hero," she breathed, then giggled. She nuzzled him gently and went in for another kiss, only to nearly fall flat on her face as some of the school staff had taken hold of Yorik. She clutched at his clothing, wanting to pull him back to her. Advancing forward, she wrapped her arms around him again. "N-...No!" She whispered against his chest, and then he was yanked away from her. "I... I love you!" she said, her arms reaching out towards Yorik as he was taken away, and a small frown placed itself upon her lips.

The classroom he entered was fading rather quickly behind him. Yorik could easily pull himself away from these staff members, their grip wasn't that strong and he could tell they were using full grip on him due to his bulky size. However, he didn't want to get himself into more trouble then he probably already was. This didn't really bother Yorik that much as he was walking, but after a few moments his mood changed slightly, his mind playing tricks on him. Everything was repainted and reformed..As he was being taken to the stocks to be laughed and have food thrown at him..Or even worse..The guillotine..Yorik shook his head quickly clearing his mind of those grim thoughts and looked ahead. There they were..The Principal's Office..Yorik wasn't afraid though..It was nothing compared to the images within his mind..As Yorik and the staff members holding him entered, with the door slamming shut behind them.

Ari looked around at her classmates, her frown taking the shape of a straight line, and her eyes were wide and bright. "What the hell was that kid's problem?" She heard mumbled amongst the crowd of students... this infuriated her. "Leave Yorik alone!" she said, a slight presence of anger in her voice. She had gotten angry before, but had never quite shown it. "Great... now what's her problem?" Ari narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists, and as she did, sparks rose from her core to the surface of her skin and began arcing and dancing across her skin. The lightning was like a wall between her and a threat - it only appeared when she felt vulnerable - or when she let her defense barrier down. The reason it appeared when she was with Yorik was because she felt completely safe around him - like nothing could go wrong.

Ari let out a soft growl, and it barely escaped from between her lips. She shook her head, telling herself that they weren't worth her time. She quickly turned on her heels and exited the classroom, her eyes on the ground. She was trying her best to clear her head, clenching and un-clenching her fists to calm herself down. She never got like this... but she really cared about Yorik... and aren't you supposed to defend the ones you care about? Ari firmly believed that. Finally, she took in a deep breath, then exhaled and all of her somewhat hostile feelings towards the students escaped from her lungs and was now mixing in with the air around her. She now felt relieved, and the lightning sunk into her skin once more. She leaned against a locker and closed her eyes... Oh, Yorik... where did they take you?

The room Yorik was in was full of trophies and awards. The principal must really have quite the resume, well he must have otherwise he wouldn't have this job. The size of the room was relatively large and had two large windows that weren't opened. Also in the room had a large desk with tons of papers and pens on it with a large comfortable chair behind it. Yorik was expected to sit in the small chair in front of the desk that looked like it couldn't support even the lightest of objects. So, Yorik was just going to stand and if the principal didn't like..He should really invest in furniture for other people instead of himself. The door creaked open and in the principal entered. He was a rather large fellow, larger then the teacher Yorik knocked out. This principal looked like an ogre sort of with his facial expression as he sat down in his chair and just stare at Yorik.

Yorik just stared at the principal, not even the slightest bit bothered by the man at the desk. The principal cleared his throat and began to lecture Yorik. Explaining why hitting people with shovels wasn't polite, what sort of affect it could have on Yorik and the teacher, the physical pain that the teacher was probably feeling, and how Yorik's behavior was not going to be tolerated at this school. The principal was really growing more tense in his tone of voice. One point he left the desk and slammed his fist on it, causing it to almost break in half. However, while the principal went on talking, Yorik was just daydreaming about Ari. Not even concerned with what he was saying one bit..No, all he cared about was being with Ari, and how worried she probably was about him. Yorik headed towards the door, placing his hand on the knob before being rudely turned around by the principal forced to make direct eye contact with him. The principal stared for only a few moments before backing up to his desk, shaking with fear, motioning for Yorik to get out of his office right now. Yorik shrugged and continued on his way out.

After Yorik had left, the principal quickly went through the students files, looking for Yorik's specially. It all made sense..The principal knew why he backed up the way he did...That was Yorik Veslan...The Gravedigger.

Ari sat down right in the middle of the now empty hallway. All of the other students had found their way to their next class. Ari didn't... she didn't care to, either. She kind of figured it wouldn't matter, anyway. She'd be able to talk to the teacher the next time she had that class to find out what she missed. With a sigh, she slowly pulled her legs up to her chest and hugged them there to rest her chin on top of her knees. She wiggled her toes, wondering if anybody had noticed her bare feet. Maybe it was against the rules. She knew that most establishments had a "No shirt, no shoes, no service" policy, and began to wonder if that applied here as well. It would be a danger to herself if she wore shoes, though. There would be nowhere for the electrical and lightning currents that surged through her body to go if she was wearing shoes. She'd get shocked... and most likely killed. As long as the remaining electricity had the ability to flow through her body and into the ground.

Ari turned her head to place her cheek on her knees and sighed again. She wanted Yorik to be there with her. Beside her. She hugged her knees tighter, pretending that she was embracing Yorik. No, it didn't feel the same... but it was something. She began humming softly... a lullaby she had once heard when she was younger. She didn't know all of it, so she repeated the same part over and over. It was soothing. She didn't want to move from that spot. Although the floor was cold and hard, she was comfortable. "Yorik..." she breathed softly, lifting her head to look down the hallway.

Yorik stepped out into the hallway, a much better sight than being surrounded by four walls and a rather large man who was trying to scare him. Something puzzled Yorik though, how the principal was so stern and tough in the beginning but once he got a good look at him, he was quaking with fear and ushering him to get out of his office...What was the deal there? Yorik was sure that big frightening principals were not supposed to get scared off so easily. He must've realized that Yorik was stronger than he looked...Or was just terrified of Yorik's face. So..He could possibly be ugly? Well..that is not a nice thought.

Right now Yorik was determined to find Ari. At least an hour passed by since he last embraced her. Most likely she would be back at the classroom Yorik was taken from, or at least near it. He felt confused and lost...Which way was back to the classroom? If only he was paying attention on his way to the principal's office and he wouldn't be in this situation. "ARI!" He shouted down the halls, this was how he was going to find her. The hallways were empty, so it would echo loud enough so Ari would be able to hear it.

After hearing Yorik's voice, Ari immediately perked up and stood as quickly as she could. "Yorik...?" She called softly, though the empty hallways were able to carry the echo of her voice to Yorik. She heard the echo of his voice again, and smiled, then advanced in the direction of where she heard his voice. The only noise she made was the soft sound of the soles of her feet rising up off of the linoleum floor as she began to jog lightly. The floor was cold, but she didn't really care. She was getting closer to Yorik, and that was all that seemed to matter to her at the moment. This place is like a maze! She thought to herself, nearly out loud. She made sure to stay in the main hallway. She didn't want to get any more lost than she already was.

As she was running, she began to wonder what the principal had said to Yorik. She imagined that he lectured him. Gave him a warning. Then sent him out. But he had been gone for such a terribly long time... almost an hour by now. Ari found herself clutching gently at the hem of her baggy white t-shirt as she jogged along... as well as yearning to feel Yorik's touch. Not only was she physically lost within the labyrinth of this school, but she was lost inside. But Yorik had found her. She chuckled at the thought, remembering a song called "Amazing Grace" and how this "grace" saved someone. She definitely wasn't the religious type, but Ari figured that everyone needed something to believe in.

Again, Ari called out Yorik's name, then stopped. She saw someone out of the corner of her eye. She pivoted on her heels, then turned to face the person. It was Yorik! She bounded towards him, slowing down as she approached and wrapped her arms around his torso. "I found you!" she cooed softly, swaying back and forth as she gently rested her head against his chest.

Yorik wandered down the halls continuing to call out Ari's name. He never felt so lost before, if only the teachers would have told him which way was back to the classroom he was taken from. It wasn't that bad, because when he did finally realize where he was going, Ari had found him. A smile grew on his face immediately as she came dashing the hallway towards him. Yorik had a good idea of what she was going to do, probably hug him so he opened his arms out and embraced her tightly as she hugged him. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as they hugged. Yorik felt like everything was right again, being reunited with his love.

"Ari..I've missed you...Are you alright?"

He was concerned. The time that they were apart was hard since Ari and him were inseparable the moment they confessed their feelings for once another. Yorik had difficulty being away from her for the period of time, but it didn't bother him that bad, they were together now..But how was Ari during all of this?

As Ari was walking, she had wondered if the school had ever considered creating a map of some sort. It would be very convenient... And once the students knew their way around they could simply discard the map. Anyway... Ari was so happy to see Yorik. She found herself looking at his hands as well as the rest of his body, worried that he could have possibly gotten hurt or something along the lines of that. If Yorik had gotten hurt... well, let's just say that there would be a deep fried principal on the menu.

"I missed you too!" She said softly and kissed him on the cheek, "And I'm fine..." She felt fine now. She felt lost (both physically and mentally) when roaming down the hallway, trying her best to find Yorik, but she had found him. "I found you..." she repeated, mumbling the sentence into his neck as she closed her eyes and pressed her lips to his throat.
