Just wondering, but are people using age as physical appearance-wise or actual age?

If I read things correctly, the RP should be taking place sometime in the 2050's after all.

Actual age is preferred, you can note what age they appear in appearance. Considering the field is asking for the character's age, not how old they appear, which is what appearance sections are for.

Biography: Leonardo "Leo" is of mixed Filipino-European extraction through his father and has his father's darker skin and hair with his mother's less angular features and blue-green eyes. His parents kept a low profile in the stifling Sanguine State and as far as Leo knew, they were simply businessmen who worked internationally, mainly with the European Union. He was fifteen when he began to manifest abilities consistent with one who had Awakened. Whether out of fear of their son or something else, they last went overseas one last time and never returned, simply leaving Leo in the company of close friends.

Leo grew up in the West End of the city, but spent most of his free time in the Outskirt, where the rough and tumble life of the gangs and his own penchant for violence earned him a spot as an enforcer in one of the larger gangs. The rougher side of life taught him to fight, to shoot, and to see the government as more of a collar than a boon. He inherited his father's knack for clever resourcefulness, in particular a working knowledge of chemistry, engineering, and physics - which he applies to the very specific and dangerous field of homemade explosives.

It was among the gang that he found his true family as well as a creed to follow. In the gangs, "you eat what you kill" and no one could argue otherwise as long as you had the strength, the smarts, and the will to hold to what you owned. Governments could not stop someone who abides that credo, or so Leo believed.

So, still bitter about his parents effectively abandoning him, he grew into adulthood angry, willful, and ready to bring on the hurt. He generally finds authority figures distasteful and, in particular, advocates for bringing down the oppressive current regime.

Motivation: Indoctrination by the gangs he grew up with - believes firmly in a "you eat what you kill" philosophy.

He can also more precisely control the blast radius and utilizes less explosives to achieve his ends compared to normal.

Not necessarily, since Dracula the big bad vampire baddie guy woke up in 2016 and the world started turning to shit shortly afterwards. Thus, logic dictates that Karl was turned when he was 37 or so.

No, you're right. The age of a person is this: Take the day they were born. Add the number of years they have lived been animated (in any state: Living or undead). Voila, your age. Conversely, take the day your character was born, now count the number of times the planet has gone around the sun. That is your age.

It is a robber's weapon; a thief's tool with a very fortuitous side effect: the sight filter deflects light, allowing one to daywalk with impunity - if not for the fact that the filters are two-way. Invisibility begets blindness, an empty scent begets anosmia, silence begets deafness; one absence, one disability. The filters are impervious to enhanced senses, but Awakened humans can sense through them with varying degrees of success. Aside from herself, Haqim needs to touch something or someone to properly apply a filter around it, although she can do so remotely with moderate concentration over a 10 yard radius. The larger an object, the longer it takes to cloak it: a small room might take a few seconds, a mansion will take no less than 10 minutes. If undisturbed, the filters can last upwards of an hour. Haqim can dismiss them anytime, and exposure to powerful magic can wear away at their seams.

@Pastor Choi A couple issues.

#1: Her motivation is to perfect daywalking? How does this mesh with the goals of the rebellion?

#2: That custom is a bit too strong. It's alright if she can cast that on herself, but a 50 foot radius for over an hour? Erm... No. Not at start, not out the gate, anyway.
