The xeno's back arched as he tied to free himself from Meganes, hold. Then something splashed on his face, something wet, something cool. His eyes flew open and focused on the witch, there was that weird expression again. What did it mean? Hisin his eyes unfocused as his mind slid back to another time, another universe.

He was no longer in Iwaku. In his mind he was home, still hardly dry from birthing. Behind him, acting at a chair was his brother, in front of him was his birther. "Young one, you must learn that I'm not your only parent, the kindred is your family. The shapers......" The expression was the same, transferred onto alien features, but the same.

For a moment he looked into the female's eyes, straining against Megane's hold with inhuman strength, then his struggling ceased and he bowed his head. "I have shown weakness. I am sorry." He said without lifting his gaze.

Magdelene blinked in surprise as Vay's sudden panic attack passed as suddenly as a shifting wind. With a flick of her hand, the watery globe disappeared from sight and she held her palm to the alien's face feeling for some kind of temperature. She wasn't sure what kind of ailment she was looking for (she would normally test someone's forehead, normally) so she settled upon the side of Vay's face.

"Are... are you okay?" Magdelene asked, "You needn't apologise at all. It wasn't your fault! Can you stand up? Or would you prefer to rest a while?"

She looked at Spectacles then remembered his statement before the panic episode, "No, I don't believe we were properly introduced," she held out her hand in a lady-like manner in which Spectacles could touch his lips to the back of her hand, "I am Magdelene, Elemental Witch - specialist, actually - and novice Time Mage. And you? Are you a native?"

The woman didn't seem to understand the gravity of the situation as she just stared at megane-kun and Vay. "Oh please, don't tell me that this witch spaced out all of a sudden!" megane-kun thought as he tried to restrain Vay and keep him from hurting himself, and the others around him.

This went on for a while, with Vay arching his back as he tried to free himself from megane-kun's restraints, megane-kun trying his best to prevent Vay from going on a rampage, and Magdalene seemingly spaced out.

"Darn. Ok, think me. Here I am trying to restrain a creature that's really much more stronger than me, and barely breaking a sweat, this lovely little witch woman in front of me staring at us and being spaced out, this giant freak standing and smiling like some overgrown kid, and that old guy ahead of us that seemed to be oblivious of what is happening." megane-kun thought while he kept Vay at bay.

"Can any scene be more... uh... stupid than this?" megane-kun sweatdropped and resisted the temptation to headbutt Vay, if only to silence him. He was only prevented from doing so by some splash of water from absolutely nowhere, not even from the witch.

"Ok. This takes the cake. What now? Will Vay suddenly recover as if nothing has happened?" megane-kun thought as he closed his eyes, as if wishing he was in a very different world altogether.

To megane-kun's wonder, Vay actually stopped from breaking free from his hold, and calmed down. "I have shown weakness. I am sorry." Vay said as he bowed his head.

"Weakness?" megane-kun blurted out, "You were actually very strong, and would have probably overpowered me had not for some... I don't know, some otherworldly energy maybe, that had enabled me to restrain you."

As megane-kun delivered another senseless rabble, the woman came to her senses and leaned over Vay, held her palm over his face felt all over it, before she settled in placing it over the side of his face. "Are... are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern, "You needn't apologize at all. It wasn't your fault! Can you stand up? Or would you prefer to rest a while?"

In an awkward change of demeanor, the woman looked at megane-kun in a curious, and yet friendly manner. "No, I don't believe we were properly introduced," she held out her hand, almost thrusting them towards megane-kun's mouth.

"What now? No thanks, I don't think I am ready to eat my food while they're still alive and talking to me..." megane-kun almost spat out as he moved his head away from the woman's outstretched hand.

"I am Magdelene, Elemental Witch - specialist, actually - and novice Time Mage. And you? Are you a native?" she continued, and megane-kun understood the meaning of the gesture. He then leaned Vay against a tree trunk nearby, thus freeing his hands. He turned his attention back to Magdalene, thrusting his hand towards her lips, "I don't know my name, nor can I remember anything else other than my being here in this forest, but you can call me megane-kun."

Vay kept his head bowed, even when Magdelene reached out and touched the side of his face. He waited for a gap in her talk with Megane before he spoke again. "I am well enough to move." he said not wanting to delay the party, whatever direction they decided to head in.

The more time he spent with these humans, the stranger they seemed to be, they where not like the others he had encountered in his own universe, and he couldn't help but feel a small measure of respect for them as he tried to understand their actions.

(Note to Mag: Kroot with their fast metabolisms run quite hot my human standards)

As Magdelene spoke to Megane, she felt her palm warm up considerably and began to worry whether Vay was undergoing some kind of fever when Megane laid Vay back against a tree trunk to rest before thrusting his hand towards her own lips.

Confused she stumbled backwards and would've fallen had it not been for her staff. What a strange person! She thought to herself as he introduced himself as 'megane-kun', though she did like 'Spectacles' better. It wasn't customary for the men to want to have their hands kissed. Perhaps he was a... queer? Magdelene had only come across a few members of the gay community in her world but she found them incredibly fussy and nosy. Would queers in this world be the same too?

Probably.

"Erm... okay, megane-kun," She said as she took his hand and tapped her lips lightly against the back of his knuckles, bowed and then let go.

Suddenly, the alien spoke up having rested enough against the tree trunk.

"I am well enough to move." he said not wanting to delay the party, whatever direction they decided to head in.

Happy that Vay was alright after his strange episode, Magdelene clapped her hands together and smiled brightly. "Oh, Vay! I'm so glad you're alright! We can make our way to the treasure now! Lets go!"

"Erm... okay, megane-kun," Magdalene said as she took his hand and tapped her lips lightly against the back of his knuckles, bowed and then let go.

Megane-kun was taken aback by Magdalene's action. "Uh... so you're supposed to kiss..." he thought as he reached for Magdalene's hand and kissed it lightly. "Nice meeting you..."

This scene was witnessed by a somewhat rested Vay, who seemed to be bemused by what was happening.

"I am well enough to move." Vay said not wanting to delay the party, whatever direction they decided to head in.

"Uhhhh.... Guys... Can you spare me a minute or two?" megane-kun asked as he stood up. "I need to pass water." He looked at the others, whose silence he took for tacit approval. He then moved away from them, farther away than was actually necessary.

Arachnion was slowly creeping through the underbrush. He had run into some trouble with attempting to find his rogue creation, namely that she could A) Change her gender and appearance at will, and B) Iwaku was rather large for one man.

The forest had been rather high on his list of places to check out; Grace could probably survive on her own indefinitely here, and he wouldn't be able to rely on the posters that he had plastered around shapeshifter town.

Mryn was rather mystified by all of this. Whilst Archy was off hunting down the prototype, he had refined the model and developed methods of mass-production.

For now they were still all-female. You had to have some indulgences, you know.

He hadn't seen another person the whole day. There was the occasional wolf, but none of them had the silver hair that was common across all of Grace's forms. So when he heard the rustling in the grass as Megane moved away from the group, he reacted the same way he would if it was his daughter.

Specifically, he reacted by jumping out of cover and landing a flying kick to Megane's face.

Okay, so maybe he wasn't the best mother ever.

Megane-kun went towards a big tree with such a huge trunk he thought it would provide enough cover to do his deed.

"Oh great tree..." he whispered as he looked up the sturdy, majestic wood, "Please let me relieve my excess water on you..."

"May I not earn your ire and make unwell," he continued as he tried to undo his pants.

However, even before he was able to open his pants and start, he was hit by something so hard that he was knocked down. The shock made him piss himself, and soon, his pants got drenched with his own urine.

He muttered some profanity after he spat out some of the dirt that had made its way to his mouth. "Perhaps the tree wasn't happy about it. Not that I can do much about it now..." he thought as he tried to get up.

"HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" megane-kun yelled upon seeing a guy near him, looking at him intently.

Magdelene raised an inquisitive eyebrow when Megane took her hand and lightly kissed the back of it, returning her gesture. What a strange individual... she thought to herself as he excused himself to 'pass water'.

Strange, indeed.

The little witch turned to Vay and offered her hand to help him up onto his feet. It took a lot of effort on her part, being small and all that, but in the end, she managed to get the alien back onto his feet. She smiled up at him then looked around to see where Grumpy and Mizdogg had gone off to. Had they left the forest without them?

"GRUMPY! MIZDOGG!!" She yelled through cupped hands, forgetting about the tribesmen. "HELLO!!"

Though, instead of a reply from either the Lich or the Ork, Megane's high pitched yell sounded in response.

"HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" megane-kun yelled upon seeing a guy near him, looking at him intently.

Magdelene rushed toward the direction of Megane's voice, dragging Vay along with her as best as she could. Once they arrived at a small clearing not too far away, though further away than necessary, she saw Megane standing with drenched trousers and another male watching him intently.

Stranger and stranger, she thought to herself.

"It seems that you have soiled yourself," Magdelene pointed out with her staff aiming towards Megane's trousers.

Vay heard Megane's shout but was still distracted by Magdelene's attentiveness, he wished to understand more about her. Suddenly she pulled him up and with her help he was able to stand. running after her he reached the small clearing there the young human and yet another where seemingly facing off. Megane on the ground with a pungent liquid over much of his lower body.

<b>"It seems that you have soiled yourself," Magdelene pointed out with her staff aiming towards Megane's trousers.</b>

Vay followed the direction she was pointing, right at the wet spot. "Soil?" Vay said quietly looking at the ground, the witch had to be mistaken. "Are you in danger Megane?" he asked pointedly, focusing his attention on the stranger.

"Now wait a second.." Archy looked over the (admittedly rather cute) guy who he had kicked in the face.
"You're not grace at all.." He held up a glowing hand towards Magdelene and the Kroot as they showed up. A Kroot? Well, that was new.
"Hm.." His hand dropped to his side and stopped glowing.
"Well, you're not who I was looking for. But I'm bored, so I'll be sticking along with you guys for now. If I run off to fight a silver-haired girl or wolf who can shoot fire, trust me, that's perfectly normal. Name's Arachnion, though most people just call me Archy. Also you need to stop freaking out when people kick you in the face, unless you want to run through a whole lotta pants in the next few months."

"Now wait a second," the guy said, after he had looked over megane-kun, "You're not Grace at all...."

"Huh? What?" megane-kun blurted, but this was ignored by the other guy who raised a glowing arm against Magdalene and Vay, who had gone over to see what was going on.

Megane-kun looked at Magdalene who had her staff directed towards his trousers. "It seems that you have soiled yourself," she pointed out.

"Soil?" Vay asked, looking at the ground. After a bit of thought, he went on, "Are you in danger Megane?"

"That much I have already known, my lady," megane-kun snorted. "But thanks for the information. I now know that I must change my pants. And...." Turning to Vay, he went on, "... no, I don't think I am in any danger. I just offended this great tree by trying to urinate on it." Megane-kun pointed with his lips the large tree next to them.

"Hm..." The other guy's hand dropped to the side and stopped glowing. "Well, you're not who I was looking for. But I'm bored, so I'll be sticking along with you guys for now."

"Hah?" megane-kun exclaimed, his mouth opened wide in confusion.

The other guy went on, ignoring, yet addressing, megane-kun, "If I run off to fight a silver-haired girl or wolf who can shoot fire, trust me, that's perfectly normal." Addressing to the others as well, he continued, "Name's Arachnion, though most people just call me Archy."

Arachnion moved over closer to megane-kun. "Also you need to stop freaking out when people kick you in the face, unless you want to run through a whole lotta pants in the next few months." he said, with a grin on his face.

"Hey, wait a minute there," megane-kun said, "You mean you kicked me in the face just because you mistook me for your daughter?" He spat out the words 'mistook' and 'daughter' especially hard, for emphasis.

"I won't comment about your daughter, for I don't know if she cross-dresses as a man just to escape a parent like you. But then again, do you really treat your daughter that way? Do you usually greet her with a kick on the face as a greeting?!" megane-kun said, in an increasingly louder voice. He might have overlooked his injury earlier, but now that he knew the reason behind his injury, he's a bit... pissed.

"You do know that my daugther is an artificial superbeing, right?" Archy sighed and folded his arms across his chest. There was a bit of a poof, and she was still there folding her arms across her chest. Where there had been a snappily dressed young man, there was now a catgirl wearing completely different clothing.

She leaned down and kissed megane on his forehead. "And that's why I thought you might be her. I'm sorry."

She stood back up.
"See, I did build her to have some of my abilities. And this includes shapeshifting. Hers is far more advanced than mine, actually...to be honest, I'm a little jealous. But only a little."

She reached out a hand and helped Megane to his feet.
"I can't really help with your clothes, sorry. Anyways, how's your life been going around here so far?"

Magdelene watched the scene unfold before her and, amidst all the (gender) confusion, she was sure of the following things:

  • The stranger was named Arachnion or 'Archy'
  • The stranger can change shape entirely
  • The stranger mistook Megane for a girl and kicked him in the face; and
  • Megane needed new pants

She leaned down and kissed megane on his forehead. "And that's why I thought you might be her. I'm sorry."

Magdelene sniggered privately at this and was about to make a scything comment when...

...She stood back up.
"See, I did build her to have some of my abilities. And this includes shapeshifting. Hers is far more advanced than mine, actually...to be honest, I'm a little jealous. But only a little."

Interesting... she thought to herself, processing the information in her mind. At first, Magdelene had mistook Archy for something akin to a Changeling Witch but then where was the staff or wand? As she pondered...

Archy reached out a hand and helped Megane to his feet.
"I can't really help with your clothes, sorry. Anyways, how's your life been going around here so far?"

"It's been rather amazing!" Magdelene exclaimed, not bothering to discern whether or not Archy was speaking to Megane exclusively or to the entire group. "We were actually heading off to find some treasure before we looked for a way out of this place... however, I think Mizdogg's buggered off on us... Do you, however, know of a way out of this forest? I wouldn't mind some civilisation... especially after being attacked by those tribesmen before!"

Vay stood holding Madelene's hand, he was flabbergasted by Archy's sudden transformation. "This universe is a strange one." he commented trying to find his mental bearings almost not hearing the conversation around him. He was however curious about the copious amountt of liquid on Magane's trousers. "What is that." he whispered to the witch, "he thought the subject of his question would be obvious, but his gesture was directed at the other two in general.

"Yer not da smartest are yez" Mizdogg chuckled from in front of the group, where he had been the entire time
"I sed follow me dint i? whyz we stopped?" The ork queried, clearly unaware of Vay's sudden affliction
"Come on, da treshur's dis way" the Ork pointed ahead, turning to head in that direction.

After the cloud of smoke has cleared up, Arachnion was nowhere to be found. Where there had been a snappily dressed young man, there was now a catgirl wearing completely different clothing.

She leaned down and kissed megane on his forehead. "And that's why I thought you might be her. I'm sorry."

"Hey! You can turn into a girl anytime you wish?!" megane-kun blurted out. The kiss might have felt better had he not known that this was a guy who had kissed him. Or, at least, a guy who had transformed to a girl before his very eyes.

Arachnion nodded in reply and stood up. "And that's why I thought you might be her. I'm sorry."

"Ok... somehow that makes sense..." megane-kun thought, but somehow he wasn't too sure wether or not 'sense' as he intuitively knew it still made 'sense' in this world.

Arachnion continued. "See, I did build her to have some of my abilities. And this includes shapeshifting. Hers is far more advanced than mine, actually...to be honest, I'm a little jealous. But only a little."

Arachnion reached out a hand and helped Megane to his feet. "I can't really help with your clothes, sorry. Anyways, how's your life been going around here so far?"

Megane-kun stood up with the help of Arachnion, and stared at him, or her. His pants are the least of his worries at that moment, for a vauge, yet disturbing feeling grew up within him, and it continued to grow stronger.

"Well, I think it might work out better if you think of me as a catgirl who can turn into a guy at will. Otherwise, that would just be awkward, now wouldn't it?" 'course, I was born male. But he doesn't need to know that.

She crossed her arms behind her head and leaned back, taking a moment to look over the group.
"Huh, nice. So, I take it you're all rather new here? Well, it happens. like 50% of the population here just kinda poofed into existence. I personally took the stairs. Don't ask, it's complicated."

"I should probably explain some things. Notably, great feats of science and magic happen on a regular basis. There's shapeshifters, aliens, robots, some bioroids, the list goes on. Shapeshifters are pretty friendly dudes, though if you want to keep your normal sexuality intact, don't get drunk around them. That said, it can be damn fun.

As for leaving this forest..I dunno, just pick a direction and run that way 'till you reach the end? Shouldn't take to long for people like me, though I'm not sure guys could run a marathon without taking a break."

She poked Magdelene in the breast. "Anyways, who are you, staff-girl?"

"Eeek!" She automatically replied, slapping away Archy's finger that was prodding her soft mounds. Her hand massaged the poked area and she looked at the cat-girl wearily before replying though she wondered whether it was just a customary act to poke one's breast with a finger in greeting.

"I'm Magdelene," The little witch offered and lifted a finger but then reconsidered poking the cat-girl in the boob and dropped the notion. "And this is Vay."

Magdelene gestured toward the Kroot towering next to her.

"We were following Mizdogg who..." She paused then spun around looking for the gigantic ork and spotted him steadily heading away towards his treasure, gesturing for the others to follow him. Magdelene cupped her hands and shouted at the top of her lungs, "MIZDOGG! DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT US!! WAIT! WAAAAAAAIT!!"

Magdelene, immediately feeling anxious, hopped from foot to foot and looked pleadingly at the others.

"We've got to go with him! We were following him then Spectacles... I mean, Megane-Kun wet himself and then you showed up and now..." She hastened a look at the quickly disappearing Mizdogg.

TC walked into the clearing where Mizdogg had been fighting before. Seeing the damage to the forest he sighed and followed Mizdogg's trail. He then came to the sight of the other battles. TC noticed the scorch marks from the fire spells, sighing again TC sprinted along Mizdogg's trail.

He had just returned to Iwaku and already his forest was getting torn up.
