I finally -have- an image that I should upload, but meh, I sort of like keeping Daniel super vague.

Name: Ryan
Race: Human
Appearance: (19 yrs) 5ft 7in in height, he isn't a very tall person. He isn't very buff, nor is he fat. His short brown hair, barely covering his ears is nothing out of the ordinary and his plain clothing consisting of a t-shirt, a pair of jeans and some shoes makes him look like just your average boy. Which he is.
Personality: Clumsy, clueless, forward which may make him seem rude, interested, good-hearted, socially awkward, insecure
Skills: Ryan can build up immense pressures inside of his body, releasing them with a blast (It's not an explosion, just a very strong knockback of whatever's in front of him). Ryan can use the blasts offensively, defensively or as means of transportation. As the pressure builds up inside him, his body becomes much harder, his skin nearly impenetrable, rendering him immune to most physical attacks.
Background/Biography: Born somewhere on the outskirts of a small town, Ryan wasn't a special person. He never experienced anything out of the ordinary, just living his life the way his friends did, too. Nowhere in his world was there anything related to magic, though there were legends of ancient times when his world was filled with magic.
Back then, the world was a dangerous place, filled with monsters feasting on the dark depths of magic, growing more and becoming much more frightening and dangerous. But not only the creatures managed to learn and use the magic they found. Some humans specialized in certain ways of magic, too, protecting the villages from ravaging creatures. They were paid for every creature they killed. Not everyone could become a mage, so they were highly looked up to, but not all of them were as noble and pure as they would appear. Some of them were filled with greed and would release creatures upon cities only to dispose of them later, to receive more payment. Others would leave the city, living in the wilds, looking for the dark depths of magic, driven by an insatiable thirst for power.
As time went by, the greed of the mages grew larger and they demanded more money, despite having practically everything they wanted. The king at the time grew tired of having to pay half-baked mercenaries to fend off creatures they themselves released upon his cities. He called for the strongest mage in the lands, a scholar that studied and experimented with magic, one that never used magic to kill. This man knew nearly everything there was to know about the magic of this world and he could fulfill the king's request. To dispose of all the magic in the world. The scholar said no word, he simply nodded, then turned around and walked away.
The scholar knew why the king requested this and he agreed with him. It took him several months to create what was needed to rid the world of magic, but he did it. On a day like any other, nobody saw it coming, the scholar opened a portal to another dimension. The portal sucked in anything that held magic, along with the mages, pulling stronger on things that held more magic. Slowly but surely, the amount of magic in the world lowered until nothing but a few relics remained. Magic had become a very rare thing and none of the items that remained were strong at all. Time passed and most of the magical items had been used. Only a few remained, mostly in ruins of caverns of buildings that collapsed before the magical items could be used.
After centuries of living without magic, humans had forgotten all about it, save for several legends and stories, though nobody believed them anymore. They had managed to live without it and the wildlife has grown less dangerous due to the lack of magic. There were several legends, all differed depending on where the storyteller was from, though one was told the same everywhere; it was the most popular one, too. The legend about the scholar who rid the planet of magic.
Ryan's grandfather loved to tell the legend of the scholar, though he had a certain twist to it. He said that he was a descendant of the scholar and that his family was blessed with the title of "mage". Nobody believed him, including Ryan.
It wasn't until the day that a meteor came crashing down that magic would return to the planet. Luckily, the meteor fell outside of town, but it did cause quite the commotion. Everyone in town came to look at the glowing hot rock that fell from the sky. Ryan was the first to reach the meteor and upon closer inspection, he noticed that this wasn't an ordinary rock that fell from the sky. It moved, opened up, and shifted until it took on the shape of something that vaguely resembled a human. Four limbs and a head hovered around a large round boulder with a glowing orb in the middle. It looked intently at Ryan, analyzing him and he could feel something in his mind, unsure what it was exactly. Meanwhile, others gathered around the "meteor", though the golem began to violently hit the ground as soon as others got too close.
After a while, the orb in its chest began to glow more brightly, though the golem didn't move at all. Nothing happened for about a minute or so, but then the golem stood up straight and fired a beam of light at Ryan, coming from the orb. The beam entered Ryan's body, throwing him backwards, but other than that it didn't affect him at all. Everyone gasped for air by the sudden "attack" and they looked at the golem in fear. The golem, however, didn't move anymore and his orb began to crack until it shattered and the golem collapsed, leaving behind nothing but motionless rock. Some people rushed in to aid Ryan, but after reassuring them he was fine, everyone went back to their homes.
Ever since that day, Ryan was able to use his skills (as mentioned above), which led to some unfortunate accidents, but his skills proved to be quite useful, too. Whether or not the golem attacked him that day is still uncertain to Ryan, but he has learned to control his magic now.
Several more meteors have come crashing down on the planet, revealing more and more magic. The hunt for magical relics has begun.
Inventory: T-shirt, pair of jeans and some shoes.
Fears: Spiders, dark, peanuts (allergic), large animals
If you were given great power, how would it manifest itself: Ryan would be able to make his skin impenetrable to any attack, be it physical or magical. He would of course become stronger and his senses would increase greatly, allowing much faster movement.

Nuuuuuuu!!! FUUUUUUUU!!! You took away my ponyhood.........
Keep it up and that's not the only hood I'll take.

Which, considering pony anatomy, implies far more dirty things than intended.

Even though TECHNICALLY, the original intention is slightly dirty as well. But more of a 'heels to the groin' kind of way.

Forget this post ever happened. *Waves hooves about mysteriously*

So, I should probably join you guys in that dark forest, huh?

Yes, just post whenever you want <3 we're in a fight right now. You can make it all clumsy if you want, for slight relief -w-; Plus I just see your character like tripping through a trans-dimensional rift. Because he's clumsy. Clumsy people trip through trans-dimensional rifts all the time, right?

Right...?

Some WoW, but the character's Not That Sort of Death Knight.
Daniel's based more off of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons death knights than World of Warcraft DKs.

Well, AD&D Death Knights inspired WoW Death Knights, but I think they're largely very different. Daniel's angst, for instance, doesn't come from the fact that he's undead, which is largely something he likes, but instead from a curse put on him. He wasn't involuntarily made into a death knight, and he's not under any particular mind control or compulsion.

The 'Undying King' mentioned is similar to the Lich King only in titles; they're very different characters with very different motivations.

Ah, that makes sense... Well, as a Death Knight in AD&D do you have any control over undead? Or can you raise any to do your bidding? Or are you just a really strong undead hulk of steel death?
