Being escorted down the hallways of school on your first day is no fun. Being escorted down the hallways of school on your first day because they couldn't trust your temper and quick-to-judge actions is terrible. Indeed, that was the situation Kam was in as of this moment. Once they reached the door to the classroom, the escort looked towards her.
"No trouble, got that? Half the kids here are new. I don't want you to scar them with your coldness, mentally or physically," he looked through the window, quickly gauging the tone of the classroom at the moment. "Though, judging by everyone's actions, it looks like there won't be any chance of that happening, am I--"
He was cut off by a shout from charge. "Good lord! I only iced the guy because he was bugging my friends. If he'd only left us alone..."
"The guy was panhandling for money!" the escort was about to continue, but she ignored him, instead turning around and opening the door. Once inside, she took note of all the stares. Obviously her small-scale argument had drawn attention to her. Abolishing her fiery mannerisms now, in front of these strangers, all foreign to her except for two or three of them, her eyes took upon the glint of one who hadn't the need for people. Handing her late slip to the teacher, a substitute no less, she sat in the back-middle right corner, quickly reading the assignment. A couple people appeared to already be preforming the required work, so she set right on it.
Taking out a favored black pen, she wrote the part about her parent easily, though it wouldn't be easy for the teacher to read her mixture between cursive and spindly print. That second part would be a problem. Surely they would think her strange for that scene outside. She sighed, putting her pen down while she examined those around her, trying to find someone who might take what had happened in step and ignore it.
