Rhaego sniffed the air sharply. His nose twitched with each sharp intake of air. "Yes..." His scratchy voice was low and cautious. "Something isn't right." Rhaego dropped to the ground, and dug his long, skinny fingers into the earth. He could feel the vibrations of foot steps, then softly he heard laughter echo through the forest. "Rhaego? What's up?" Vertrag asked, also sniffing the air like a dog. Rhaego held up a hand, then paused to listen once more.
The blonde boy strapped his claws to his hands and spoke, "Stay here. Vertrag and I will go see what's going on. If we're not back in ten minutes, assume the worst." He said. "Take to the skies Vertrag, I'll take the ground." And just like that Rhaego and Vertrag were off in search of something wrong.
Vertrag soar through the skies, keeping behind the low lying clouds to hide his rather strange appearance. Vertrag swooped sideways, then shot up. The gleeful dragon was playing more than searching, but he believed his Burner would handle things from below. That was, until he heard a loud dragon-scream from behind him. And in a flash, the two massive beasts tumbled out of the sky. Vertrag was suddenly pinned to the earth by a sleek green dragon, who was ridden by a strange man in green armour. The crest on his breast plate clearly stating him as one of the the neighbouring country's army. He was high ranking, given the gleam of his plate. Vertrag roared and pushed, trying to squeese from the green dragon's grasp but was pinned. "Go to sleep.." said a harsh and dark voice. Vertrag's eyes widened as the green dragon opened it's mouth and a strange liquid oozed from it's fangs. Vertrag opened his maw to roar, but the liquid dripped into his mouth, and he fell unconscious.

Rhaego crouched to the earth and peered through the leaves, staring in awe at a massive group of soldiers clad in green armour. They were from one of the neighbouring countries, Rhaego could tell. But he did not know which one.
"They wont know what hit them. Taking away their Burners... Who would have thought of that?" A soldier laughed.
"Sir Stellar's responsible. Some say he's a genius. I just want to go home." Said another.
Rhaego cocked his head to the side, trying to think of what was happening, when suddenly he was plucked from the ground by his hood. "Look what we've got 'ere? Little Red Riding Hood's strayed a bit far from Granny's." Rhaego struggled to break free, but he was defeated. "Lemmie go!" He screamed, but the man did not obey. "Look at your tattoos. A burner eh?" And that was the last thing Rhaego heard before he lost consciousness.
