Sharp Fall: The Beginning

Mira waved good bye to Enamel, heading out of the bakery and down the street to head for the zoo where she worked, eating the cheesy bread roll on the way. When she had gotten to her work, she got changed into her uniform and began working with the animals happily until it was time for her break. During her break, she took out the nice surprise of the sweet dessert and took a bite. She quite liked sweets, even if it didn't seem like she did; A small smile on her face as she ate it. Though, she looked up when she began to hear the sound of the radio beginning a debate between new presidential candidates.

"So...Cain Valentine. What are your plans if you become president?" "Well, a lot really. I plan to change many things for the better. It's going to be a whole new world, a better whole new world." Cain replied to the question.

Jinx listened to the sound coming from the radio. This debated was being broadcasted everywhere, on everything. Any TV or radio, it seemed they made it almost impossible to not hear what was going on with this debate. Jinx sighed, "So...it's time for a new president." She said to Tsuri. "This is possible really bad. See, for us Runner's a new president can either be salvation or destruction." She turned to look at Tsuri as she finished her lunch.

"I can't tell you exactly yet, plans are still being made but people are going to be happier if I am president. I will unlock answers that many have been wanting to know and bring a bright future to our young generation even the ones that seem to not want to accept our society. I will be able to tame the adolescence in this world that have been corrupting our society." Cain continued.

A MONTH LATER
((I'm supposing the job with the contraband went all right))
Kaze Roka

As any other day, Kaze began early. Five am and he was already working out. 50 push ups, 150 squats, 45 pull ups and finally, running three kilometers. It took him one and a half hour to complete his daily routine. Right after that, he proceeded to run for a shower, take a little bite of whatever food he had prepared for breakfast and dash out of the apartment like a wind slash. "Time to work, then I'll go and check the wolves, I want to know how they're doing it." Kaze thought as he ran over the edge of a building right next to his apartment.

He started slow, but kept his rhythm at faster pace, and faster, and faster and before he realized. He had already crossed two buildings. He was already half-way of his usual job. He dashed around vent pipes, vaulted over the different machines set on the roofs to increase the building's reliability in energy consumption. That was a matter that was always being discussed by all kinds of scientist and politicians, the energy consumption rate was increasing exponentially every year and no one was able to find a new energy source that could solve this problem, chemical, kinetic, solar, wind energy. Nothing works to afford this topic. But little did Kaze care about this, all that occupied his mind was the present. What was at his front, the leap that could end with someone's life. But not his, he still had a lot of leaps planned for his resting time.

Kaze kept running, jumping, vaulting… living. This was his life and only his. He reached his work place, as usual, saluted his boss and moved to take the best job he could find.

Tsuri Raino

Tsuri was at school, as usual. It was still early. His grades were good enough to graduate with honorifics, this was his year in school and it was already time to choose a career, what will he do with his life? He wasn't still very clear about it, but he was going to figure it out sooner than later.

His training with Jinx was going perfect. He was really enjoying it, how it all flowed perfectly and with its own pace. Tsuri decided to just keep going. After all, he had already started, and it was certain he was going to back up mid way to the goal.

During the last month, Tsuri had certainly improved in all the aspects of his day-to-day life. From his cooking ability to his parkour skills, it had all gotten better, perhaps it was because the main discipline of parkour he had decided to praise, "To use your body to overcome any obstacle". That was it, what had really attracted him to parkour, he thought it was the fact that he was bored, but it wasn't.

The presidential elections are each day closer, it's a tight fight indeed. The people's favorites go from Mark Stronghold, James Priote… to Cain Valentine. A new talent that literally came out of nowhere, he just appeared as a candidate in Manaki and quickly started gaining popularity over all the resting cities.

-"Ah fellows… Our time is about to come… I grant you that, with this…. With this "thing"... We'll not only win the elections.... But we'll change the world" Cain commented to himself as he was sat on a desk next to the door. This character has promised to change the world, for well. To protect every citizen and praise for its security.

Illannah sighed, turning off all the radios and such that were in the lab. Normally the stations would be playing music by now, but all anyone could talk about lately was the election. Frankly, the woman didn't care. Whoever was elected to run the country was not likely to look into the science side of things. And in this area, Illannah had actually done her research. There was nothing that she could fine that states that any of the candidates would pay any attention and so, she didn't care who got picked. It wasn't like they were going to stop her research. What they didn't know of wouldn't hurt them.

Once the machines were off, she moved back over to the microscope and peered through the lens. Why, she didn't know. There was just something... Off, about this sample. She pulled the pad of paper closer and began to sketch what she saw. She wasn't the best drawer, but at least it provided something that she could take home and study, since she wasn't allowed to take home the photographs.

Yawning, Enamel leaned back against the tree and stared up into the sky. Or what he could see of it. So far, it seemed to have been a nice day, not a cloud in sight. But then again, he really couldn't see much sky. That was due to the fact that he and Mira were both in the forest. The had been talking previously about different things, but now they were in a content silence. For this, Enamel was glad. It gave him time to think. In truth, he was a little worried about the election and various other little things in his life.

Mira was silent, enjoying the peacefulness of the forest with Enamel. She had been coming there quite often with him ever since they had meant and it was always quite pleasant. Of course, not only did they relax but Mira enjoyed testing him on his parkour skills on buildings as well as the trees which were what Mira loved the best. She could hear the sounds coming from the animals around them, parts of the sun causing beams of light to hit the forests floor. Mira reached out, giving her friendly squirrel that usually came around a snack to nibble on.

Jinx had found that Tsuri's training was going well, he was getting significantly better as she continued to train him day to day. He was very devoted and it made her happy to see, it was also something that was helping with his quickness to learn everything. Meanwhile, as well, she had been working on her inventions and had been selling a lot more in the month. She was starting to become more known for her inventions, although she was already known for her parkour skills and being the faction leader of the falcons who always went the highest.

It was a rather quiet day today. At least in Enamel's mind. The forest was normally bustling with all sorts of creatures but now there were none, save for the scattered few who scuttled past and the squirrel by Mira. "It's awful quiet, don't you think?" Enamel asked, curious to hear what Mira thought.
