A disease threatens the already small population of the benevolent dragons, god-like figures that the people have long worshipped since the beginning of their colonization. To solve the problem and find the source of the disease, two heroes have been chosen to save their gods. But when they finally gathered to meet each other, instead of two, there were three. Although this was an oddity, despite only two people having been called forth to help solve the problem with their given talents far more powerful than of regular citizens, they promised to work together till the end to help their own people and cure the dragons.

  2. Dragons. Benevolent creatures that ruled over the land with wisdom and strength. Some of course, were not like that. They craved destruction. Many avoided them, and so it was no surprise when the infection started there.

The infection. Dragon born, dragon passed. It killed all that contracted the disease, no matter the age or gender. It was a terrible one, and there wasn't too many symptoms. Mainly, the more noticeable ones were tiredness, fragility, and eventual breakdown of systems. It was sad to see dragons being affected by the disease, whether friend or foe. There was nothing that would save them either. Many people had tried many different things, but nothing helped. Years had passed, and dragons had almost completely disappeared. There were only less than a thousand left, and it was only fate that hadn't allowed the infection to reach them. Yet.

"You've got to be joking," the figure growled. "10 silver for one night? Come on." The inn keeper kept his price. With a loud, exasperated sigh, the man hidden by a cloak gave the inn keeper 10 silver. He was handed a key. Grabbing it, he scowled under his hood and headed for his room to unpack. "Damn people, don't understand that I'm on a rather important quest here," he muttered to himself. Stupid.

  3. Another dragon corpse on the way to the inn, the young woman shook her head as she passed it. It was hidden amongst the trees, barely visible to those who passed it. But it was clear it had been sitting out for a few days, the sharp smell reaching her nose. The infection had taken hold of the dragon population powerfully, doing terrible things to the bodies of these giant, feared creatures. They would begin to break from the inside out, become more and more fragile. Even if they were feared creatures, they didn't like to see these benevolent creatures disappear from the earth. Of course, there were both malicious dragons and dragons that tried to assist human kind.

As a chosen hero, she was required to meet with the others in a small inn not far from the capital. A letter had been passed on to her from a quick-footed young man, hurriedly bustling pass her without a word when she had taken the letter from him. Kimyotake shouldered her shamisen, a beautiful instrument and gift from the eastern side of the continent, before entering the inn she had been heading towards. She was greeted with the warm and homey interior of the building, not filled to the brim with people and the scent of food in the air. Shyly, she approached the inn keeper, handing a small bag containing enough silver for her to spend the night. "And a glass of water, thank you."

  4. The young figure walks down the well used path, kicking rocks tiredly as he looks rather unimpressed about his destination. "An inn? I live in castles, with rich divinities and luxury. I didn't ask for this." He says to himself, kicking another rock rather hard. On the night prior, the young boy by the name of Tyler was approached by a noble, giving information of his newest quest given directly from the King. He reluctantly accepted.

Tyler glances from side to side, admiring the beautiful landscape of the country side as he approaches the run down town, where the inn, his destination, was located. He inhales deep and continues forward, as he prepares for his introduction to the people he will spend a very long time with.

First to arrive. Setting away his stuff, Bailey headed out and relocked the door as he headed for the main area of the inn. He was to wait for them there, whoever they were. However, as soon as he stepped outside his room he could sense something. A more powerful presence, here in the inn. Stopping for a moment to concentrate on it, he realised he may not be the only hero here. Unless of course, a powerful being decided to visit a small inn in the middle of nowhere.

He had to be cautious though. From what he could tell, she was a rather powerful demon. Although he had fallen long ago, he still considered himself an archangel. He had done much for the world that a demon would not have done. With a sigh, he headed for the source of power in order to introduce himself. In the case that it was simply a coincidence, he had many ways to defend himself.

  6. She rested her cheek on the cool table beneath her, sighing tiredly. Stirring when she felt the thud of the glass hit the table, she flinched, her hand reaching up to take it and draining it of water. The trip here had been slightly harsh for her, though she had stocked up on plenty of water she had ran out fast. The giant body of the dragon made it excruciatingly difficult to walk around to find a pond or something in the forests, cutting off her natural route to hydration. It was a shame it was so huge that nobody had the heart to move it. Not even a hundred strongmen would move it far enough to decay in peace. Kimyotake was tired and she needed rest as soon as possible. It was somewhat of a relief that she didn't have much belongings under her name in the first place.

Just as she stood up she became increasingly aware of another presence, shining brightly from the corner of her eyes. The young woman turned her head to see a young man approaching her, her eyes narrowing at how he seemed to be walking straight towards her. But at the same time she noticed his 'aura' was much stronger than the normal men around here, like the bartender wiping glasses behind the counter. "How can I help you?" Kimyotake asked politely with a hint of wariness at the stranger.
