Name:
Finna Moors
Race:
Human
Gender:
Woman
Age:
21
Sexuality:
Bisexual
House you represent:
Moors
Short History of your Royal house:
The Moors arose generations ago when Finna's ancestors decided to settle and cultivate an area of wetlands. They took their name from the name of the geography of the area. The success of the Moors' farm grew exponentially and the family was able to hire help, build their castle, and protect their servants. Over the course of generations, they expanded from a small farm to an entire countryside ruled over by the House of Moors. As other Houses grew around them, the Moors took up arms to protect their people. This is how they entered the Vanity War.
The House of Moors has wanted to find peace for Alderia for a long time. Unfortunately, they did not have the power to call on the rest of the realm for a cease fire. The Kings and Queens of the time feared that their request would be seen as a sign of weakness, and would become an invitation for attack. For this reason, the royals decided to abstain from the fighting and instead only participate in the strategic aspects of war themselves. For three generations now, all combat on the part of the royals has been ceremonial. They hold competitions within the court for entertainment, but only the peasants have fought on their behalf in war.

List of siblings if any:
Edrick, Prince of Moors
Royal Title:
Princess of Moors
Height:
5'6"
Honorable or Dishonorable?
Honorable
Personality:
Finna is assertive. She is willing to ask for what she wants, and is happy to claim what is rightfully hers. She is also a bit of an advocate for the lowest class of people. Her early experiences with her nurse's daughter taught her the value of manual labor, and she is disgusted whenever those people are looked down upon. Despite her belief system that all people are equal, she still has a bit of a hero complex. That is, she often stands up for people when they do not need her help, and this can make others feel disrespected. Her education in war strategy has made her decisive. She truly believes that the worst mistake in any situation is to do nothing, so she relies on what experience she has, listens to her gut, and acts quickly. She is also suspicious by nature, and this makes her keen to investigate any individuals she feels may be hiding something.
Any skills?:
War Strategy- All royals in the House of Moors are taught strategy alongside their basic education.
Fencing- At 17, all royals begin training in an area of combat in order to participate in the games. In the four years since Finna has been training, she has learned much of the fundamentals of swordplay. She ranks at the top of her age class in her House. (Remember though, this is friendly competition, and her skill here likely will not translate perfectly into battle.

History:
Finna has known she would someday be queen since she was a young girl. Her entire education centered on it- the history of the realm and of the House of Moors, the economics of maintaining a farming community, politics and tradition, and of course war strategy. Her career path had been chosen by the fate of her birth, however, Finna never felt cheated. She was raised to understand the great importance of her place in the world, and of the peace she could bring. As the princess, she always imagined she would marry a prince from another land, and therefore forge a great alliance and calm tensions that way.
As Finna approached her preteen years, she was less inclined to spend her free time studying etiquette as her parents would prefer. She befriended her nurse's daughter, and together they would sneak away to play in the mud. The two became inseparable, and they grew up together in many ways. The girl, named Lara, was Finna's greatest confidant. One day the two were caught kissing, and she has not seen her since. Finna was lectured endlessly about the risks and dangers of her affinity for the girl. See, if she loved a woman, let alone a peasant, then she may not follow the King's plan: to have his beloved daughter marry a prince and become Queen to another House, while his son Edrick stayed to rule the Moors, ensuring both children became monarchs.
When Finna came of age, she was told that she could choose to claim the throne herself, or pass it along to her younger brother when her parents died. While she loves her brother, she has no plans of giving up her right to the crown simply because her brother was male. Now that the Houses were being called to a treaty, an alliance forged by a royal marriage is much less valuable than her leadership. Her aspiration is no longer to marry between Houses, but to rule the country she knows and loves as their Queen.

Motivations:
Though she realizes it may be a fantasy, Finna believes she may be able to find Lara again. Once she is Queen, she may round up a search party and search all of Alderia if they must. She recognizes that even if she finds her, Lara may no longer feel the same. However, her primary motivator is to find that she is alive and well.
Outfit:
Armor - Ceremonial, worn during friendly competition within the house.
Ceremonial Gown - Worn for this event.
Likes:
-Tending garden- it reminds her of her time spent playing outdoors as a child.
-Networking with people who have the same goal of peace.
-Riding horseback and caring for her horses.
-Studying history in order to improve herself and her country.
-Magic- she has never learned herself, but is entranced by it.
Dislikes:
-Not being taken seriously because of her baby-face.
-The formality of her peoples' manner of dress- it's impractical.
-The arrogance of much royalty.
-Being connected to her ancestors who abused mercenaries.
-False civility
Fears:
-That her parents may have had Lara killed.
-Becoming an incompetent Queen who cannot maintain her people.

House Caldwell

[spoili]
The small house of Caldwell has been a part of Alderia since the beginning. A larger House, and an integral part of the founding of civilization and order, they see themselves as sort of the big brother of Alderia, always looking out for the other houses, and providing assistance when in need. Despite this, however, they are a very private people, keeping to themselves and very rarely allowing outsiders to walk their halls. Because of this, their secrets are very well kept, and no one truly knows the power they wield. When the order came to send their soldiers to fight, they did. But not all of them. King Sebastian kept his own private platoon, hidden behind the walls of Caldwell Keep. He believes himself to be the most powerful and well equipped House in all of Alderia.
At the summoning of the heirs to the signing of the treaty, King Sebastian is once again holding back on his end of the bargain. His eldest son and heir, James, is too valuable for him to let go, so instead he sends James' younger twin, Devin, and the youngest brother, Nathan. Should things go south at the signing, King Sebastian has his trained heir still safe and sound in Caldwell Keep, with a small army to protect him.

Royal Title:
Prince

Honorable or Dishonorable?
Honorable

Personality:
Nathan is a live and let live kind of guy. He is quiet, incredibly perceptive, and as sharp as a tack. He has a knack for finding peoples weaknesses, filing them away for future use, and loves to people-watch. He is a kind heart in a cruel world, unable to turn away from the suffering of others, or even animals.

Any skills?:
-very stealthy, able to move without being seen or heard
-great climber
-pretty skilled at sword fighting (uses two short swords)
-good with animals, specifically horses

History:
Being the youngest of three brothers, he did not have a lot of expectations thrust upon him growing up, so he got to develop more into his actual personality, rather than the one demanded of him by his parents. He grew up behind the walls of Caldwell Keep, his parents being incredibly protective, much to the disdain of Nathan's wanderer's spirit. He snuck out more than once, and was punished for it. After a guard was put on his room 24/7, effectively crushing his hopes of being able to do so again, he took to the stables and yards and kennels, learning everything he could about training animals. Something to keep his mind off the fact that he was essentially a prisoner in his own home thanks to his parents' overprotective nature.
Motivations:
He wants to prove to himself (but mostly to his parents) that he can take care of himself, to be allowed some freedoms not offered him due to his sheltered upbringing. He is also set on exploring a world previously unknown.

Outfit:
Wears very nice leather clothes, dyed black, with the Caldwell House insignia, a blue bear, painted on the middle.

Likes:
-animals
-archery
-climbing
-reading
-sparring

Dislikes:
-cruelty
-being held back
-tight spaces
-crowds
-being recognized

Fears:
Nathan fears that he will never get the chance to experience the world as it was meant to be experienced, and that he will die having lived an uneventful, sheltered life. He is also claustrophobic.

Dialogue color:

Anything else?:
He is accompanied basically everywhere by his pet dog, Maverick.

Royal Title:

Height:

Honorable or Dishonorable?
Midway

Personality:
Devin is the epitome of a spoiled brat. When he wants something, he gets it, and will throw a fit if he needs to in order to get his way. He has a temper that belies his aloof demeanor, and is not opposed to having someone lashed for a simple mistake. Despite this, he does not enjoy cruelty - rather, he sees his actions as teaching them a lesson to avoid punishment in the future.

Any skills?:
-he is smooth as a snake, able to talk himself into and out of nearly any situation he wishes
-basic sword training with a longsword
-very good at flattery and manipulation

History:
Despite being the younger twin, and therefore not the heir, he and his twin, James, were very close growing up. Not seeing a reason to seperate them, their parents allowed Devin to join James in his training to become king. Therefore, he knows nearly everything his older twin does about ruling and being a leader, which has given him a sense of self entitlement usually reserved for those directly in line for recieving the throne.

Motivations:
He gets to, for once, be the "heir" (as he is coming to this treaty under his older twin's name) and play at being the most important. Keeping Nathan in line and safe is also on his agenda, as he knows his younger brother's knack for running off and getting himself into trouble.

Outfit:
Light plate armor over fine silk clothes. Plate is standard metal color, with the Caldwell House insignia painted on the chest plate in blue.

Likes:
-bossing people around
-being recognized and worshipped
-hunting
-being in charge
-playing pranks

Dislikes:
-being ignored
-riding
-sparring/fighting in general
-reading
-magic

Fears:
Devin fears living in James' shadow for the rest of his life and is desperate to make a name for himself. He is also quite the coward, being mediocre with a sword and in combat in general, instead preferring to let his guards do the fighting for him while he stands safely in the background.

Dialogue color:

Anything else?:
He is "portraying" his brother, James, for the duration of this RP (or until the facade is discovered).

ACCEPTED!

However, like i say with everyone else here, be sure to keep your combat related skills in check at the start. Nobody here is Clint Eastwood, the terminator, Dirty harry, Rambo or any other movie badass.

You will get to use them and actually kill some people from time to time, but keep in mind that Union troops are not the kind of people you think you can take on easily. Gonna take some serious training before you can become a one man army against them.
