He helped her up, he was quite strong as he seemed to lift her up with ease. His hands were also calloused heavily, this man was obviously a master of the sword. "If you want to help you can pluck the bird." He said before letting go of your hand to go back to skinning and fixing the rabbits. The water in the pot was boiling now and he was putting some of the meat in the pot. He looked at the soup and pursed his lips standing up. He seemed to be considering something, looking close at him he wasen't an old guy, he was defaintly no older then a teen.

He walked into the woods and for a moment or two it almost seemed like he wouldn't be back quickly but he came back with several wild herps and also some wild onions. He started putting them in careful measures into the pop, sometimes sticking his finger into the water to taste the soup and make sure he wasent to heavy handed with a spice or anything else. "My name is Akio." He said as he finished putting the last of the meat in the soup and was stirring it. "Whats yours?"" He asked curiously as he glanced at her.

Amitis nodded silently. She didn't know how to feel about the change in her former torturer's attitude. Just a while ago hadn't he been sticking daggers in her? Even if the pain was gone, she could still remember how it felt. And now, he had helped her up and was offering her food? While the expression on her face was impassive, the thoughts in her mind were jumbled and just begging for some reason or the other. However, she knew she would do best to simply let it be... for the moment.

Once he was gone, she took hold of the bird and started plucking the feathers. One part of her was telling her to get out of there and make a great distance between this camp and herself. The other part of her wanted to stay. She didn't feel she would be tortured now, and although there was a fear of him in her, she was also curious as to why he hadn't killed her and how she had passed whatever test he was mentioning. There was also another thought that she laid to rest, as now wasn't the time.

She looked up when he returned, black and violet eyes looking at the herbs and onions. She suspected he had lived independently in the wild for a while. She paused a moment when he mentioned his name and then asked for hers. She felt awkward, because this was almost like a normal social interaction and she was rather horrible at those, either mum or fumbling with words, unless of course she was upset. "Ami... Amitis." She held out the now plucked and cleaned bird, unsure whether he wanted to add it in the soup or not.

Crystal Blancehette

Crystal watched fire boy cross the stream while a girl pulled out her sling shot and space girl flew atop of the trees. She sighed at their reckless behaviour. "Who in the right mind would do this kind of stuff?" she muttered under her breath.

Indeed she smells the blood in the air, and there is also a hint of smoke. It was getting more and more chaotic with every minute and she just wanted to get out of this forest, unscathed as possible.

She gave out a whistle and the trees rustled the wind howling as she whistled once again. Crystal was calling out the wind. She wanted to know the exact location of the culprits and with her abilities, she know she can do it.

She was trained by her foster parents how to harness her powers and how to use them for survival. She really don't need the others to survive, but where's the fun in that? She wanted to know if they are trustworthy and allies are never a problem for her. With a smile, she hopped on the very top of the tree and stood there, looking at her surroundings.

If they want to cross this forest by group, they should be very careful and quiet. What better way to do that? She asked herself and an idea popped in her head.

"Cover your nose" she commanded the four

She created a big ball of wind in her right hand and a ball of poison on the left, the emblems glowing as she did so. Merging the two and releasing the ball into the air, it burst like an enormous firework; a big gush of wind was released around the forest, her poisoned air spreading like a dark mist.

She wrapped herself in a ball of wind, preventing her to inhale her poison. It wasn't really a poison; it was more like a sleeping gas. If everyone inhaled her creation, she's certain that they can get out of this goddamned forest with ease.

Zoan's dark and beady eyes roles over the bright green jungle. He and the teachers stood upon a large cliff that over looked the jungle. It may have seemed that he was trying to spot the students under the dense canopy of the jungle, but he was really utilizing the birds. By using his years of experience in Mind Wielding he used the birds eyes to spy on the students. What he saw made him frown, he had not expected 4 students to die already, it had only been 30 minutes. "Student are dyeing, Klamath." Zoan said darkly, his rage could be felt from miles away, suddenly, the air hung heavy and thick in the humid jungle air.

Klamath was virtually unaffected by the Headmasters rage and kept his usual smug face, but Gira was shaking. "I agree, thiz commoner iz killing off noble kidz, we cannot have that. " Klamath said sternly. "Klamath, go, warn this student, if he retaliates, take the proper measures." Zoan said in obvious fury. Klamath smiled, "Az you wizh." He said as he bowed and quickly jumped off the cliff and sprinted towards the smoke, the most obvious place to look first. For an old man he ran extremely fast, but he used the earth to push him forward.

It only too him a few minutes to find his target, he slowed down to halt across from the white haired boy, and the weird girl with the unusual hair style. He placed his hand behind his back and smiled, "So you are the commoner who had been killing nobles. You must be strong, but I must warn you, no longer kill any nobles, we don't care if you kill commoner." He said despondently, giving the boy a look of utter disgust. "We don't need any more peasants anyway." He chuckled darkly.

Galen Morket, "Spirit of Darkness"
Galen smirked at Angel's words but said nothing, instead continuing to hack at the leaves and branchs in his path without stopping. Everything was pretty peaceful so far, and the smoke was getting stronger so that meant they were nearinf their destination. Suddenly his neck prickled and he whirled around, blade sweeping high to deflect the projectile aimed at him... A rock?

Suddenly he sighed with a slight smile. "Angel... The next time you throw a rock at me, I'm throwing it right back." He challenged her before immediately turning back to his task to try and hide the small smile on his face. He hasn't interacted with someone like this since... All of a sudden his mood sombered and a frown settled onto his face. He hated remembering his past. It was dark and bloody, and now that he was here at this academy, he hoped it would be behind him... But perhaps its not.

Angel couldnt help the smile that stretched her lips, holding her sides as she laughed. His comment wasnt even all that funny, and his tone suggested he wasnt being as playful as she was, but her shoulders still shook with laughter. She wiped a tear from her eye, a sudden bounce in her step as she watched Galen continue with the medial task of hacking at the weeds in their way.

"If you want to threaten me, you'll need to do a better job."
She lifted her finger, the same pebble lifting off of the air. Coiling her index until it reached her palm, she flicked it out, aiming for his arm. Angel snorted and covered her mouth with her hand. Christ, what was wrong with her? This guy was dangerous. She knew nothing about him, and here she was, throwing rocks at the man. He could probably very well attack her, but it wouldnt do him much good, not really. Within her small bubble of gravity, she had the ability to lower the oxygen for a short amount of time while her energy was up. Everybody knows you cant use your element without energy, and you can have any energy without oxygen.

Galen didn't even stop walking as he threw his hand out and grabbed the small pebble that Angel had thrown at him, dropping it to the ground beside him as he finally sheathed his blades and turned around to look at Angel. His face showed no signs of amusement, although there might have been a little spark in his eye...

"Oh, you've done it now." He growled out in a dark tone, his hands curling into fists as he slowly stepped towards her. "Now you've pissed me off... I'm going to get you!" And he jumped, grabbing her around the middle and... Tickling her? Yes, he mercilessly dug his fingers into her sides, finding the places that elicited the best reactions then attacked them over and over again, doing his best to make her laugh again.

Aurellia
Jungle

Aurellia looked about the jungle as she continued on her way towards the entrance. She looked back and forth watching the tree around her as she used her past experience of going through her old streets unnoticed. She used the shadows of the trees to move silently and sneak her way around those she saw pasing. When she thought the coast was clear she stood up and began to run forward. She looked at the item on her hand and began to think of how she could use her elemental affinity to help her. She couldn't think of a way and decided to just forget about it and continue on her way.

She crossed what she considered was a midway point before stopping to catch her breath. She ran a hand through her purple hair and glanced around at everything to try and see if she noticed distortions with any of the shadows giving away a person's position. She couldn't see anything so she began to move at a far slower pace. She worked better on her own but loved being near others for some unknown reason. Come to think of it she couldn't explain why she did anything to be honest.

In the end she just did things and it seemed to other that it was done without thought but the reality was that she gave more thought in her actions but didn't care how other percereved them. She loved to create confusion and well, her lightning affinity made her able to do it with some static shock. It then dawned on her that she could possibly begin to trick people. She just needed to find a pond.. but, would they fall for it is the question. She suddenly made up her mind and decided against it before continuing into the forest not sure if she would run into anything or anyone. So far she slipped passed two groups and she wanted to keep her distance from them.

She was no stranger to fighting but the less chance she had to draw blood, the better she was as she hated clearing the stains. But, ever since she got her two swords from some person who she had no clue who they were shes always felt more... wacky. Never the less she pulled them both off of her back and leveled them out infront of her face. Their blades were sharp and each was different. One felt lighter and much more deadly.. the other seemed distorted and unknown.. almost enigmatic. She had no idea where they came from but they never led her wrong.. infact.. they made her feel alive.

Now with her blades drawn she broke into a run once more but unlike the last time kept her breathing under control to keep at this speed for a longer period of time. She leapt out a fallen tree and rolled to rise back to her feet. The two blades making her arms feel lighter. She then stopped at hearing a branch snapping and turned. She saw a person running towards her and she immediately stopped. The chains of the swords dropped and she tilted her head. Without even a consideration of morales or a conscience she whipped the swords around and jabbed it into the person side. She then used the force fo the swing to proper herself over him dragging the chain with her. She drove her other blade into the ground before gripping the chain with her glove. A massive electrical current pumped into the blades and the chains causing the person to began to cunvulse horrificly.

When the smell of burnt flesh reached her nose she stood up from where she was crouching and unceremoniously ripped the blades from his corpse and the ground before continuing forward as if nothing had ever happened. Well, she had one death on her hands here at this place... and the blades seemed... pretty splashed in the blood of the living. She tilted her head to look at the glistening light before laughing suddenly "Oh how beautiful!" She shouted before covering her mouth. She felt her mind slipping from that experience and began to work to keep herself in a sane mindset.

The stew was just finishing and he was pouring bowls when he looked at the plucked bird. "Thank you." He said quite politely though he took the bird from her without asking so rudeness and edicate seemed to balance out. He put down a bowl of soup in front of you and took the soup off where it was hanging and placed it on some secure ground to make room for the bird. He put some spices on the bird so they could smoke with the bird as it cooked. He made sure the wings stayed tucked in as not to fall open and get overcooked and started roasting the bird. He was beginning to turn the bird on the spit when he felt a powerful aura of fury spread over the forest. He paused and looked back over towards the starting platform. That could only be Zoan, the other two teachers werent at that level. He started turning the bird again as if nothing was amiss though he glanced at Amitis to see how she was affected.

Zoan was quite powerful and his aura reflected that, it was powerful enough to make almost any man fear or at least be weary but not him. Just once he had felt a far stronger aura. It hadn't been in anger or maliace but had just simply existed. He had only felt it once but that was enough to carve it into his soul forever. Compared to that Zoans power was pale in comparision though perhaps part of that was just distance. He heard a distant rumble and someone approaching very fast. "I wish they would have let me eat first." He said suddenly as he turned towards Amitis. "Were gonna have a vistor, don't interfere in what comes next. I will not be able to save your life if you do." He said seriously. His expression was suddenly deadly, like the cutting edge of a katana. Then the man was here.

Akio listened to the teacher without standing till he finished his last sentence and then with casual slowness he stood grabbing his sword. "I see, im afraid im gonna have to refuse you." He said meeting the teachers eyes. This was the dual weilder among the teachers, the one who won that supposed duel. From what he saw he was a user of lightning and earth, strong defense and stronger offense, a difficult opponent. "I have killed 5 people so far, i can't attest they were all nobles as i didn't bother to check. This test was made to test our abilites and show who had the desposition and power to be a wielder, a soldier. I have turned myself into an intrusment of that test. Noble or commoner doesen't matter to me. Position of birth doesen't affect a matter of strength, actually if a noble who has probably been trained by toutors since the moment his or hers powers were discovered and they are still weak... Well they are even more worthless then a commoner who is weak but had to learn everything themself don't you agree." He said with a taunting smile as he drew his blade and held it out in front of him while turning his body sideways to precent a smaller target. "I won't stop killing nobles for something like status of their families, i may have only been testing them but if you challenge me i will kill you here at my full power." He said eyes flashing and the shadows in the area almost seemed to get longer and more threatening like a haunted forest and he gave off a deadly cold aura. If Zoan's aura seemed to make the air thick and heavy his seemed to still the air in a deadly silence.

Klamath's eyes darkened when the young boy refused the offer to stop. But on the inside Klamath was happy, excited even, he had been tired of listening to commoners flaunt there false sense of justice. He had only been able to assault students verbally, but now, he could finally put one in his place. "You are dog looking up at its master, begging for food at the table while the master eats." He said with a sadistic smile. "You do not understand this world, and as you teacher, I will have to instill that knowledge in you brain." He said as he took up his stance.

He already knew the students ability, a Dark and Mind Wielder, if word got out that Ladria had a Dark Wielder, the Surcoth would invade them first, but he if he was this confident he must of been strong. The old man smiled, kill him, he hadn't heard that line since he was in the Missea, Ladria War. Klamath suddenly smashed his fists into the ground, and smiled as he slowly pulled them out. His forearm and hands were encased in a thick cylinder of rock. "This will be you undoing child!" he yelled as he slide forward, the ground bellow him pushing his forward at speeds that could not be seen. Suddenly, he disappeared, all traces of him gone, instead, he appeared behind the boy, before the young boy could react he smashed the slab of rock into the side of the boys head, the rock shattered, but not before electricity burst forth from the rocks remains, with enough power to paralyze a full grown elephant. Klamath smiled, he laughed even, were was the boys confidence now?

@Greenrust

Amitis could indeed feel the powerful aura. Her eyes widened as she looked away from Akio toward the direction from where she could feel the source. Who was coming and why? She prepared herself to stop whoever it was in their their tracks before she heard what he said. She was to stand down? It went against what she wanted, but it made sense to her. This person might be stronger than Akio, she would surely fall if she tried.

"Yes." She didn't question him as it wasn't her right to. As fast as she could she turned and grabbed the soup; there was no point in losing good food. Just as she did, the man had arrived. She recognized him from the speech earlier, one of the two teachers who had fought before the students. She didn't like the look of his but it seemed he wasn't after her anyway. As the teacher started his attack on Aki, Amitis quickly headed away from the clearing, deciding to watch from a safe distance. It would be a good learning experience.
.....

Meanwhile Meg was still down, unsure where Sylver had gone or what on earth the girl who just ordered them to cover their noses had just done. She sighed a little before complying, not wanting this to be her last day here. She was however beginning to wonder if she should have simply gone through the jungle on her own.

"How're we s'posed to get through the forest when you've made breathing difficult?" she asked her, scowling slightly. She had half a mind to start digging a tunnel all the way to the end of the race, straightforward and not having to worry about any one on land.

@DANAsaur

Akio hadn't bothered to respond to his sentence. This would be a battle of them trading blows not words. He watched his stance carefully, he had seen a bit of the teachers duel before and knew he could move quickly and create lightning from rock. He felt an edge to his thought, something he hadn't felt in awhile. Excitment, it had been a long time since he had felt a truly powerful opponenet. Those wielders he slaughtered and even the girl behind him couldn't be called warriors. But he could tell that this man had seen battle, that this man was a killer. It was just a feeling but he was confident he was correct.

He smashed his fist in the ground, slowly pulling them out completely incased in stone leaving massive gaps in the rock underneath. He breathed and focused, creating an illusion of him still standing there in his stance while he took 9 steps to the left and 3 backwards. He also slid half into the shadow world to silence his foot falls and remain unnoticed. He looked back to watch even as Klamath yelled at him and charge so fast even Akio missed his forward movement. The arm was swung with such speed it would have blown his head off if he was still there but instead the arm swung harmlessly threw his clone as even before the lightning broke free from the rock. Akio reappeared. "Your quick, you push the rock under you forward so fast that you seem to disappear from sight. You have good control of earth to hide that from my sight." He said running his hand threw his hair. "But now i know your speed." The shadows of the tree's had no elongated so the shadows of the branches were all touching each other in random combinations like a cob web, covering the ground in shadow. "Now witness my speed." He stepped behind a tree and didnt appear at the otherside. He went into the shadow world and shot across the shadow'd ground completely out of sight and suddenly his sword shot up from the ground as he suddenly was shooting out of the shadows on the ground with his sword point aiming to take out the mans throat even as his other hand moved in an upwards diagonal cut wreathed in shadow so it looked almost black that would slice him open from hip to shoulder as easily as a sword if it hit.

He hit the ground now out of the shadow but the second he did he was already moving. He slid forward getting even closer then sword range, to the point where there was only inches between them. He slid his front foot between the teachers legs to his shadow on the other side by sliding his fott behind his own so thier shadows crossed and tried to head butt him to unbalance and stun him. He underestimated Akio and Akio knew he did even if he tried not too. He was a student and a commoner, that would be an advatnage he meant to make use of. After the head butt he seemed to disappear as his entire body turned black as disolved as he turned into shadow and entered his own shadow to merge with Klamath's shadow and appear behind him in an instant sliding out of the shadow and into the air. He sliced at his lower back and spine attempting to sever it but Klamath would see differently and to him it would seem he was slicing at the back of his neck. A very simple illusion, just adjust the aim of his arm a few inches, a moved finger to make up for the awkward angle. It would only last for a few seconds even if Klamath never noticed it but he only needed one as his sword sliced in a deadly midnight arc.

Over Klamaths' long life, he has fought hundreds of Wielders, but none like Zoan. When he was only 38, Klamath challenged the already old Zoan. The old man did not even lift a finger to defeat Klamath, ever since then, he has trained under thousand of Wielders. He was determined to defeat the old, but even at age 75, with 40 years of experience, he still was unable to defeat the old man. It angered Klamath, he could not stand it, when he asked the Headmaster, he told him that he was more than 100 years old. He had been training his Mind wielding since he was a child. He immediately understood, that old man was light years more powerful then Klamath.

The second Klamath smashed his fist into the head of the boy he immediately realized what had happened. The young boy utilized his Mind Wielding abilities, Klamath was not really surprised. Klamath did not bother listening to the boys speech, when in battle, every second counted. As the boy spoke, Klamath softened the ground under him, readying himself for the boys next attack. He noticed that the trees shadows had elongated, surrounding his Klamath. He had to admit, Dark Wielding was dangerous, he would put this child in his place quickly. The boy appeared in front of Klamath, his blade aimed at his throat, and his hand encased in darkness aimed at his hip. Klamath easily slide back, manipulating the earth to push his body away, dodging his blade, hand, and headbutt. The boy suddenly dissolved, he appeared behind him and aimed to slice his lower back, the earth under Klamath, turning him 180 degrees, lifting his arm up in an attempt to block, he knew that his plan would be messed up if his dodged. Klamath assumed that he would be simply nicked on the arm, but is shoulder and collarbone were cut. The injury was deep, but it angered Klamath, a mere commoner, injuring a master. There mere thought of it sent rage rushing through his veins.

Suddenly, the ground that Klamath had softened, disappeared under his feet. Plunging Klamath into the darkness bellow. Klamath was tunneling under ground, so fast that it would be too hard to sense. The ground started to shake violently for a few seconds before the ground under the boy and attempted to lift the boy up 50 feet into the air. Klamath sprinted up the column, electricity arcing off his body, as if he was the electricity itself. He jumped up into the air, almost 5 more feet up, electricity arcing of his glove, so brightly this it could be seen miles away, and brought it down.

Angel's smile faded when Galen stopped and grabbed the pebble from midair. Shit. She'd gone and pissed him off. Why couldnt anything go her way today? First she had to run through this godforsaken jungle with her new partner, and now she went ahead and started to throw rocks at him. Fantastic. Piss off the person you're supposed to get along with.

Angel took a step back and reached for her blades, but it was too late. He was already on her, grabbing her hips in a tight grip. Shit, he was going to kill her. He was-

She burst into laughter, her giggles sounding like little bells going off. He was tickling her! She lost her balance and fell backwards. Luckly, there happened to be a well placed patch of green moss growing under, and she landed without a lot of pain. He was on top of her, digging in his fingers in all the right places. Her eyes watered with tears, her lungs struggling to bring in air as she was laughing way too hard. She put her palms flat against his chest, trying to push him off.

"O-Okay! You've made your point, Hotshot! We shoud really keep moving. It wouldnt be good for other students to find us like this."
She laughed the entire time saying it, finally managing to push him off. If they were going to win, they couldnt spend most of their time having giggle fights on the ground.

She breathed and stood up, brushing off her clothing. There were sticks and leaves caught in her snow white hair, which she proceeded to try and pick out of her silver locks. She was having difficulty catching her breath. She could run a marathon in no time flat and still have the energy to swim one hundred miles, but this was different. Her abdomen hurt. She had never felt with way before. A guy had never been so light and easygoing with her. All the boys she met with her parents were like her: Stuck up and spoiled.

She looked at Galen and fave him a small smile, scratching the back of her head. She had probably found a new respect for him.

Galen Morket, "Spirit of Darkness"
Galen smiled freely now, dark memories banished underneath a wave of tinkling, sweet laughter. Angel's entire demeanor changed when she relaxed and let herself laugh. It was amazing to see. Now she truly looked like her namesake - aside from the twigs and leaves tangled into her hair. Stifling his laughter so as to not hurt her feelings, he stepped forward and began to help remove the foreign objects from her hair, making sure to be gentle as he tugged on her hair. "Stand still." He scolded light-heartedly as he finished removing the stuff from her hair, lightly brushing it with his fingers until it ran smooth down her back again.

"There. Now that you're all cleaned up again, we can get a move on." Galen used a mock-serious tone, a slight grin lifting a corner of his lips up as he drew his blades again and once more started to make their path through the trees. However, as he continued to follow the smoke towards the campfire, he began to feel... rumbling? Was the ground rumbling beneath him? Then he noticed how thick the shadows were - sure the sun was setting, but not enough to create shadows this thick. Reaching out with his sense, he confirmed what he already had suspected. There was another Darkness wielder here, and they were in a battle with an Earth user, judging from the vibrations. Stopping and holding out a hand to stop Angel from moving past him, he stepped closer to her and whispered. "Do you sense anything?"

He had hit him, he had dodged the first blow by sliding back but for some unknown reason he hadn't dodged the second and got cut. The blow was deep, slicing into the shoulder and collar bone, he would have a much harder time using his arm for the rest of the fight. Then suddenly the ground under Klamath disappeared and he suddenly realized why he had decided not to dodge the blow. He had been hollowing the ground under him so he could create this tunnel. If the fight went underground he would be much harder to fight even if it was in complete darkness. He found himself hesitating, a dangerous mistake. Should he chase? However the choice was made for him in an instant as the ground suddenly threw him up in the air. It moved so fast it send him tumbling end over end, in addition pain flared in his foot when it suddenly jerked so violently, a sprain or a fracture it didn't matter but it would be a hindrance.

He righted himself only to see Klamath jump into the air, electricity arcing off him like some divine god of thunder. However he made a mistake, he separated himself from the ground. Akio never liked big attacks, the stronger and more capable the wielder was the more they seemed to try to use large finishers and finish off high level opponents. A quick slice of a sword or small bit of wielding on an unprepared opponent did the same thing but people tried to brute force to break any potential defenses one might set up. However their was one weakness universal to large moves and abilities. The more power you used, the farther back you drew your sword for a heavy blow, no matter what you did there would always be a weakness. You would be the most vulnerable to counter attack in those few seconds of preparation and casting.

He had one shadow available to him, the only one the never left him. He had the power of the mind which would almost be useless here with him already about to come down and he had his one shadow and his sword. As he began to bring the glove down he did the one option he could think of. Even as his hand came down to deliver the blow his shadow stood up like another living being and grabbed Akio. Akio threw his blade in a straight line like the arrow of some dark god directly at his chests center with darkness flowing from his blade as the blades own shadow increased its piercing power and would prevent it from getting blown away to easily by the arcing lightning. He didn't care about hitting a vital, he just wanted to hit him so he aimed for the greatest center of mass, besides he didn't have much time to aim because less then a second after he threw the blade he was thrown by his own shadow backward. He wouldn't back it off the platform but he wanted to get as far away from what would happen next as possible.

Klamath had to admit that for a commoner, the boy was very smart. The boy used his last resort, his blade, encasing it in darkness, he through it at Klamath. Unfortunately, they boy himself should had known, Klamath had survived war, fought the best Mind Wielder in the world, and with 60 years of training, he had almost complete control over his body. Klamath laughed in delight, this battle was absolutely exhilarating, but the young man was still not on his level, maybe if the boy was noble, he might have learned to control this power even more, but he was a commoner, and he was not yet ready to face a man of Klamaths' caliber.

The young boy threw his sword, not exactly what Klamath was expecting, but easy enough to handle none the less. The blade punctured Klamaths abdomen, but at the last second he tightened his muscles, strengthening this even more with electricity. The blade stopped, it looked as if it was on the inside of his body, unfortunately, the boy had encased it on darkness, which pierced his stomach. Klamath roared in an rage as he brought his fist down anyway, stealing his body against the momentum that the blade had created. He smashed his fist into the boy, electricity traveling throughout the boys body. The force pushed the boy through the 5 stories of solid rock, Klamath following him all the way down, pushing him as they fell. When they hit the ground, and explosion clouded the area, it did not take long for it to be dispelled, A huge crater was formed were the tower formally was. Klamath ripped the blade out of his stomach, blood dripping off the tip. He softened the ground under him once again, just in case the boy was alive.

"You zee now child, you are but a commoner, juzt a worthlezz piece of trazh" Klamath slured.

He had been thrown 20 feet back by his shadow but it didn't matter. His blade had pierced his abdomen resulting in a counter force pushing him in the other direction but it didn't matter. He got hit anyway as the man managed to find one last herculean effort of strength. Never the less that 20 feet had given him time to react, for his shadow to return to him, for him to protect himself. If he had been hit full on then he would have nearly had his body annihilated. The massive force to punch him threw that much earth alone would have pulverized his body under normal circumstances but he wrapped his shadow around himself in panic to defend himself. Never the less his back felt partly shredded by the earn and the lightning that had arced threw his body and all but paralyzed him. He could move but barely, he needed time to recover or this man would kill him. That was his thought process at least, that last blow had been meant to kill him.

He was very still on the ground, not so much by choice but circumstances and didn't seem to be breathing. His eyes were closed in order to hide his eyes dilated in pain, like he had closed his eyes once he had saw the end coming. He knew where he was however, from the sound of his voice he could guess. He just needed time. He reached out with his mind powers will all his desperation and power and skill. The skill he had started honing since he killed his father at 8 years old. It had always been like this, a single mistake meant death, thats how it had been in the empire. If he had shown any weakness someone would have betrayed him, him and the crew he led had been ruled by fear not comradeship. A single weakness, a misstep or a bad word and he would have died. It was no different now, if he couldn't make him believe his illusion then all his plans and dreams fell to nothing. The second this had become a duel to the death there was nothing he could do but win. Even if he faked death here he would never be able to come back to school, his leaving the empire would be for naught as he would only live the same life and if that happened what was the point of all he had been threw. So he gave him what he wanted, him dead.

It was a simple illusion and one both him and Klamath could easily imagine in their minds. Only luck and timing had saved his life so now he poured everything to convincing the man he was dead even as he started to regain control of his body. Eyes closed, blood slowly pooling from his torn up back, left leg at an awkward angle. All real injuries, all very easy to imagine. The only thing he was projecting was the idea this man was not breathing. He kept it like this forcing the illusion on him even as he got ready. The easiest illusion to make someone believe was reality was the option most likely, the option they wanted to see. With both their conditions fulfilled his illusion was perfect. Then he opened his eyes and sprang like a cat and in less then a second, less then even the time it would take to fall into the hole if he noticed, quick enough that the illusion was only just fading he made to grab Klamaths wrist with one hand and with the other, darkness radiating from it, he aimed to pierce his heart.

Sylver stood at the tree tops, she was still there. After a long while, keeping airborne was getting quite tiring, so she dropped down onto the tree top, staying at a small high up branch. The silver telescope was still in her hands. She was watching, watching something very interesting.

It was a fight, a bit far, but not too far from where they were. Though the oddest thing about this fight was, that one of the teachers who was in the opening duel was fighting. He was fighting a student. Sylver can't help but thinking that it was a bit odd. Teachers won't interfre with the students, unless they did soemthing really wrong. In the beginning they already said that any method, including murder was allowed. It has only been two hours since the race started. This student must have done something that really annoyed the authorities.

The student fighting was a young man with white hair. Silmilar to Sylver's hair color, except that Sylver's hair was tinted a light green blue hue from the mountain mist, while the young man's seemed more like dust from a corrupted cities when gazed upon from afar. The teacher was the one who duel weilder lighting and earth, the winner of the duel.

After watching for a while, Sylver realized the amout of skill that the young man has. At first the teacher attacked with his earth element, but from far Sylver can see that he was attacking the air. How odd, not even the beginners of beginners would attack thin air after their opponents had so obviously moved. Then she realized that up close, the teacher must have been under an illusion that made him see the air as an enemy. The rest of it happened in a flash. Literally a flash. They speed of both were inceridable. Although after lowering gravity to its lowest point, Sylver could reach something maybe even passed that. That was something most space weilders with experience could do though. It was simple for space weilders, but for them, using their element in such a way to reach high speeds. It must have taken a lot of practice and planning.

After they crossed weapons once more, Sylver could clearly see that the teacher was struck by the white haired student. How though, it was obvious that the blow could be dogged. After considering the possibility of more illusions, Sylver felt the tree shake. The ground shifted, it moved. It must have been the earth weilding teacher. Sylver can t help but think that the blow was took because of the concentration needed to creat that massive shake. Creating or changing something big always required concentration. Sylver knows that with her experience with using Blackholes and comets in combat. Now the question is, was it worth it?

She doesn't know. The lighting was too blinding to look at directly, not to mention with the telescope. The bright light that came from the direction of the fight was so sudden that it dropped Sylver's left eye vision to the point where she had to look away. The light magnified by the telescope rendered her eye unusable for a couple of minutes. This wasn't going to stop her. A fight like this shouldn't be missed. It contained too much valuable information. People beilve in differs things as strength. Some think it's brut force, some think it's skill, some think it's experiances. As for Sylver she valued information and stratagies. She was young, even to the point of childish, but she wasn't weak as anyone would assume. Progress the information, and turn it into your advantage.

The light faded, and Sylver switched her right eye onto the telescope. In the midest of the light,my he student threw his weapon. It was so far that she couldnt tell what the weapon was, but it was long, and it looked sharp. It landed, Sylver had no idea where, but it landed in the teacher's body. A stab wound, not sure how deep. Immediately after, both were falling.

The rest was unknown and couldn't be seen by Sylver, the dust that the crash made reminded her of the first time that she summoned a meteorite. Though that dust and crater was made by a celestial object, and not human beings. She thought about if they were still alive or not, for a weilder, there will always be a way to surrvive a fall like that. She came to the conclusion that they should most likely be alive, both of them. Seeing the battle before gave her the feeling that it would be just normal for weilders like them to live soemthing like that. Turing the rings of the telescope, she tried to get a better view at the battle field, hoping to see more.

Ah, ah, how wonderful. As she cracked a small smile.

Veris had only started to continue moving when he heard another conflict nearby. The ground started shaking, and Veris stumbled. An earth wielder, perhaps? Regardless, the power behind this seemed stronger than any other he'd experienced from observing other conflicts. Not only that, but when he looked towards the direction of the rumbling, the area seemed just a tad bit too dark - it was still near noon, after all. Unsure of what was going on and a little curious, Veris decided to check out this fight, hopefully to deny his suspicions, and began moving towards the source of the noise of the intense battle.

He was around 100 meters from the fight when he could see it through the foliage. He couldn't make out the details of the figure in the clearing, so he clambered up a tree nearby, stopping on a somewhat higher branch. He could only see one person in the clearing, however. Odd, is this really the fight? Veris thought. The figure in the clearing had his back turned to Veris's direction, although he doubted it would matter at this distance, but he knew that the figure had white hair, and his stance made him appear very formidable. Whether or not he was would become apparent soon enough, Veris realized.

Just then, Veris felt the ground shake even from the tree he was perched on, and a figure flew out of the ground. The foliage somewhat hid his body while in the air, but one thing was unmistakable - the bright flash of lightning that blinded Veris for just a moment, as he barely held on to the tree. There was no mistake - he's a lightning wielder, and also an earth wielder, judging from how he just burrowed out of the ground. Is this... the teacher from the duel? Veris hadn't paid much attention to the brief ceremony at the beginning, but he had made sure to take note of the wielding capabilities of the teachers dueling. Sure enough, this had to be the teacher from before. But why is he here in the jungle? Why is he fighting a student? Either the student had provoked the teacher somehow, or perhaps...

The teachers are attacking students to test their capabilities.

No, no, that couldn't be it. After all, this is a school for wielding, to help us learn how to effectively use our wielding... they wouldn't just kill off the weak ones with their superior fighting, would they? Veris nearly felt his life was on the line, but this thought was shattered when he took a better look at the white-haired boy. His glimmering blade suddenly went black in Veris's vision. What... what is this? Why would that blade go entirely dark? Veris then realized - he must be a darkness wielder. Veris had only heard stories of the darkness wielders - they were evil at heart, sadistic and violent. Veris realized his first thought was correct - this violent man must have decided to pick a fight with a teacher, of all people. What an idiot, Veris thought, letting out a soft chuckle. Just then, the student threw the darkness at the teacher, still in midair. Veris didn't quite catch what happened, but he saw the teacher come down, the darkness stabbed into him, and a large BOOM sounded from the clearing, a dust cloud forming. When it cleared, there was a crater, the teacher standing there. Wow. What a fight, Veris thought. There was no way that kid could have survived that. Veris began to climb down the tree, knowing that there was no point in staying here. The fight likely attracted other students as well. Veris landed on the ground, but quickly realized he had forgotten which way he was going in all of the confusion. Err... Veris cursed himself, and resigned to simply walking in the opposite direction he came from.
