HISTORY
The story of the Dormouse is a long and historied one. It all goes back to the very first Red Queen and her court. Within it was a mouse, he, like the White Rabbit, was something made on a whim and amusement. However, the magic for the White Rabbit needed to be perfected first. He was the test for making the ageless spell work, and it did work. Kind of. He was made into a human -though it took a few months to adjust as life as a human, since he'd never been as smart as the Rabbit- and lived without aging past twenty five for forty years.
The court figured it had been a success and the Red Queen never thought too hard about how she had attained her animal servants. Once forty years had passed since the Dormouse had been cursed, he keeled over in Court for seemingly no reason. The Queen was upset at this and ordered the mages to find out what had happened.
Meanwhile, in the forest a family of mice was about to have yet another join their family. He looked and acted different from the other mice, and after a few months was kicked from the nest. The young Dormouse sought the Red Court to try and make sense of the memories from his previous life. He even managed to transform into a human after studying his memories thoroughly. The now aged Red Queen welcomed him back into her service quickly. He remained a faithful servant through the centuries, and sided with her as each queen after his death would seek him out again and take him into her home. He never questioned why she did this and served faithfully upon each and every life he spent.
Until the Queen of Hearts. She forced him into service, and decided to research the spell that reincarnated him whenever he wasn't sent out on assignment. This Dormouse, thanks to the twisted experimentation by the Queen of Hearts, lived until her downfall. He did horrible things for her and always believed in her methods. Once she was exiled, he died. Now for the latest Dormouse, his experiences of torture turned him from the Red Court. As soon as he could walk and talk he pledged his service to the White Queen.
This Dormouse has tried to do everything he can to never again return to the Red Court, and searches for a way to stay himself forever. He doesn't want to end up like his previous life, in which he served blindly to a murderous woman who desired nothing but the death of everything. With the arrival of the clocktower in Wonderland, he has been searching for a way to use it to modify his curse.
