Pokémon Diversity: Dawn and Dusk

Team Cove (Pretty sure my chosen shades of blue haven't been the same this whole time)

"Well, let's just improvise until we come up with something." At least the Pyukumuku numbers had dwindled quite a bit since they got there. You had to keep optimistic about these things. "At least they'll have a bit of trouble hitting us now." He'd have to keep Drifloon from using Gust, or else it'd blow the smoke away again, and he didn't want Cyndaquil's efforts to go to waste.

Shifting Cyndaquil higher into his arms, he called out to Drifloon. "Drifloon! Use Astonish on some of the Pyukumuku in the smokescreen." He wasn't... entirely sure how Astonish worked, but he knew it at least would do some damage. Drifloon gave what looked like a nod and then drifted over to where the Pyukumuku had gathered. She was quite a trooper, even after taking that hit. Hopefully she wouldn't get hit by either of the mohawk guy's Pokemon.

Drifloon drifted into the smoke, using it to her advantage to keep hidden. In what she imagined was a very stealthy move, she sneaked up to a Pyukumuku. It then swooped down on it, eye flashing yellow, giving a sharp shout in order to startle its target. It then repeated the process with another Pyukumuku, and she seemed to be having a lot of fun with it, momentarily forgetting that it was susceptible to attacks as well.

Gabriel was having trouble seeing what was going on in the Smokescreen, but he really hoped that Drifloon was doing alright. She had a tendency to get carried away. He was still trying to come up with a plan that might work, but he was still drawing a blank on that.

Pikachu watched as Drifloon went in and did her thing, before trying to get mud out of her fur.

"I can have Pikachu go in and try to shock a few of them while the smokescreen is up for now. Less of a chance of any of the other's pokemon getting hurt." Cleo suggested, placing a hand on her hip while her other hand went to her chin in thought. It was all she had now, and knew her yellow friend still had some fight in her at least, even when electricity was weakened.

"Chu, Pika Pi!" Pikachu agreed, ready to charge in and zap some pests, cheeks sparking for a second.

"Hah, yeah it's rather electrifying." Aureus replied to Gabriel about Pichu and the Pikachu. Pichu gave two thumbs up with a big smile.

Daru! The troll jumped from left to right in an attempt to block the sprays of mud from hitting the mice. No matter how hard it tried, there were just too many Pyukumuku spraying them. Soon all three were covered in mud.

"Give it a rest. Got to conserve your energy." Aureus told Darumaka who had exhausted itself.

Just what we need. He thought sarcastically at the sight of the muddy mice. When the boy asked of a plan, he took a moment of silence to observe the scene. It was a big smoky mess. It wasn't helping with any clarity, or was it?

Random mud flings from out of the smoke distracted Aureus, but they just splattered on the sand. The slugs clearly were letting the smoke make them desperate. They were in a vulnerable state, and it made his new plan all the better.

"I've got a better idea." He said to the boy and the blonde. "Maka can help distract them from the front with Drifloon." Darumaka gave a nod and jumped like a mad man into the smoke to rage on some more nuisances.

"While their attention is ahead of them, Pichu and Pikachu can circle around the smoke on opposite sides for a surprise attack from behind the pests." Aureus looked over to the mohawk dude. "We could use your help to back them up." Tyrunt could go with Pichu and Croagunk could go with Pikachu (or vice versa).

"Might want to keep a steady flow of Smokescreen going in case that smoke clears. It's our best bet right now." Aureus made Gabriel aware.

Piii! Pichu readied itself to run with the plan, and looked over to Pikachu to see if it would help. Pichu would run around the left side if Pikachu would run around the right.

"Go." Aureus told the mini mouse. He was prepared to act alone if need be. "Shock as many as you can."

Pichu sprinted around the smoke and was careful to stay concealed. When making it around, the mouse almost ran out in front of the two Chinchou at the shoreline. Chuu.. When deciding the Chincho were distracted enough, the baby mouse sprang in for a surprise. The small rodent quickly swirled its hands on its cheeks and began to light up in electricity. CHUUU! It was determined to shock all of the closest sea pests except for the Chinchou.

Quinn - The Merry Bloom

Quinn looked at the situation as it stood. Most of the bugs had gone away, but the Vikavolt was still a huge problem. "Why are there so many bugs here? This doesn't make any sense." the detective said to himself. As Quinn thought up a strategy to take out the Vikavolt, his Pikipek suddenly charged at the Vikavolt with a vicious Peck attack. "Wait no! We need to..." the detective said, but his voice was drowned out by the chaos. As if that was not bad enough, Totodile had decided to pick a fight with one of the remaining Grubbin by launching a Water Gun at it. The situation was quickly spiraling out of Quinn's control.

"Your plan doesn't sound so bad." Cleo responded, watching the Pichu charge in, Pikachu followed shortly after, moving around the opposite direction Pichu went in. The electric mouse raised her tail high as her cheeks sparked up. Aureus' plan was better than hers, and dhe hoped Gabriel and his Cyndaquil could help them in the long run!

"PikaCHUU!!!" Pikachu squeaked, letting out anither Thundershock, she hoped to shock as many of the pests closest to her as possible while being careful of any nearby allies.

Cleo hoped the plan worked, with or without the mohawk dude's help.

As Rowlet charges for the attack, The green bug shoots another thundershock at the owl. The lighting jolts towards Rowlet, ready to deliver a hit, only for the course of the lightning to change towards the metal tip of a gardening tool. Lavender wasn't aware that someone had put a tool there in order to draw in electric attacks, but she is thankful for it. A metal tip sticking up in order to pull in any lighting attacks nearby. Like a lightingrod. She felt a bit relieve that she has something to work with, trying to deal with all the other bugs going after the owl alongside the Charjabug.

Without its electric attacks, the bug was helpless against the owl's deadly peak and was sent flying by Rowlet's hit, being flipped into its underside, now was Rowlet's chance to finish it off. The owl pokemon chirped in happiness as the hit tumbled the bug and flipped it on its side. Coo! It also looked back to see the metal rake planted into the ground, not sure why it was there. Lavender looked towards Rowlet and smiled.

"Go for the final blow Rowlet!" Lavender commanded. As the owl heard the response of his trainer's command, the owl charged forwards up into the sky and quickly falling down towards Charjabug's exposed side. With the velocity and the speed, the owl would attempt to pierce through the skin of the green bug and deliver a fatal blow that would surely knock it out cold.

Meanwhile, as Rowlet went in for the attack, Lavender moved closely to the rake with the metal tip hanging up as she inspected it. Touching it may not be the best idea, but it looks like the rake was one of the tools from the Merry Bloom store. She questioned who it was that could've put it up there. Did Edd put this up during the battle? She thought to herself. That's why I love my boss. She turned towards the injured Charjabug as she watched her pokemon try to deliver a devastating blow to the Charjabug.
