Pokémon Diversity: Dawn and Dusk

The mini mouse rested its hands on its hips in a proud stance after successfully electrocuting the enemy. PICHUU! Pichu's ears then lowered once seeing the Pyukumuku flopping down to hit with Counters. "On your toes!" Aureus warned.

Two of the Sea cucumbers smashed into the baby mouse, but Pichu managed to roll out of the way of the third Counter attack. Chu... The injured mouse cried. Aureus's warning kept Pichu alert enough to roll once more to avoid the Mud Sport that almost muddied the poor electric mouse.

MAAK! Darumaka continued raging on the curve he had smashed into. Smashing down on them again after swirling out of the way of the Counter attack. They seemed to have strengthened their defenses.

"IGHT, REGROUP." Aureus told his team at the sight of the outer wave breaking off. Darumaka broke through the Pyukumuku with a fast roll to join Aureus, and Pichu scurried beside them soon after.

The rain started to pick up and Aureus realized something. He glanced over to the blonde student, "Water might be amplified on a rainy day, but so is electricity." He gave her a smirk while looking at Pichu and Pikachu. The sound of the distant rumbles of thunder complemented his statement. Piiichu! Pichu scurried up to Pikachu and rubbed its cheeks with a happy smile.

Killing the hopeful mood, were the dreadful splashes of mud that rained down to try and hit the mice. "Not today." Aureus said while stepping in front of them as protection from the mud that now splattered onto his back. They were far outnumbered and he refused to lose their key advantage, even if it meant taking some hits himself.

In the midst of things, he noticed the mohawk dude now helping. He used a dinosaur and a frog to attack the Pyukumuku. Aureus didn't see him at the school, so he wasn't sure if the guy was a student or not. Either way it was good to have more aid. Looked like his... girlfriend was watching from the sidelines.

He gave a 'sup' nod to the unknown Ajax. "Nice catch." He said to him with a wink after looking to the big lady.

Breaking him from the observation, was the kid with the shrew who returned to the scene. A strange balloon now floated near him and, after a second glance, Aureus realized it was a Pokemon. Odd... He confusingly thought, as he couldn't recall ever seeing a Pokemon like that in Kealu. "Glad you could rejoin us." Aureus said playfully.

"How bout a combined shocking?" Aureus asked the blonde after Pikachu completed the Charm. Pichu offered a hand to Pikachu with a smile. They could join hands and electrocute the whole line of Pyukumuku that approached while dealing twice as much damage.

GRUB! Just as a Grubbin on the branch lunged to snap its pinchers, Snivey claimed a pod from the tree and was able to tackle passed the bug and evade the hungry bite. "EXCELLENT!" Nessa called over to Kai and his grass starter with a handsome grin. She brought in a fist in excitement as she watched what unfolded. The bobbing of the tree limb from the commotion caused one of the Grubbin to fall off the tree and faint from the heigh drop.

BINNN! Both Grubbin that held Vivillon captive below, used Vice Grip to clamp on tighter to keep an even stronger hold on the green butterfly when Kai arrived. VIVV! She cried in pain with a desperate look at Kai and Fielle.

"I'm here! Hang in there Abiliene." Edd said as he quickly joined Kai's side and gave him a grateful look. He began to try and help Kai get her free. He'd have acted sooner had he not been frozen in worry from everything happening. Edd had put his Whimsicott in a wide pocket on his apron, "We'll get you healed soon, Wayla." He had said to her while offering what Sitrus berries he had. His Pokémon didn't stay in pokeballs and he was beginning to regret not having some on him today.

LON! The Fancy Pattern Vivillon hovered down in front of one of the Grubbin latched onto Abliene and carefully puffed a sparkling powder upon only it. The Grubbin stopped its squirming and began to snore with its pinchers on Abiliene loosening. As a result, Kai was able to get one side free and Fielle flew out of the way of the attacks now charging at the pests.

A woodpecker soared toward them and swooped down to pierce a Grubbin with its beak after a jet of water blasted the other Grubbin several feet passed them. The impact caused Abiliene to roll with the insectoid, but she finally was released from all of the pinchers. "Thanks very much!" Edd said to Kai and the student with the bird and baby gator. "To me!" He quickly said to his Pokémon and he retreated safely with them. Vivi! Viv! The butterflies cried in gratitude.

Ubbb. The wet Grubbin hit by Totodile struggled on its back from being flipped over, and saw that its buddy had been instantly k'od by the bird. He was in trouble.

Meanwhile, the Grubbin that threatened Inkay was temporarily blinded by the squid's ink. It became disoriented and couldn't burrow. The last, relentless Grubbin on the tree above began to crawl down after Snivey and shot a string of web in the grass type's direction.

The Charge Beam from Tynamo managed to set fire to Diana's shrub with cracking sounds, and Growlithe's ember began to smoke out the bugs by the burning brush. A slew of Grubbin began to pour out of their burrows and began to surround every human and their Pokémon nearby on the surface. Growlithe had bit at a few, but they kept alive. More bugs began to surround the pup and they used Vice Grip attack in an attempt to seize him after firing String Shots. Growlithe's Ember burnt two Grubbin to a crisp, but the rest closed in on the fire puppy.

The other bugs lunged out at every other Pokémon with their pinchers for attacks. Bug Bites and Vice Grips were sent at Inkay, Snivey, and Phanpy. Some shot strings of threading to slow any opponents down. A few delivered Mud Slap at Growlithe and Tynamo, while some lit up with electricity from Spark attack at the birds and Totodile. GRRUUUUU!

BUU! The lone Charjabug also bolted electricity at Lavender's owl in hopes to fry it while it wasn't looking.

"Look alive, folks! Things just got a lot more interesting!" Nessa helped warn Team Flower at the sound of the loud buzzing. A Rowlet had investigated the sound and had alerted its pretty master of the dangerous evolution.

Nessa glanced back to Lyle and drew closer to him out of instinct.... except he wasn't there. "Lyle?" Her heart began to bang against her chest when she couldn't see him, and turned back around to witness her baby brother chasing after Popplio who flopped excitedly toward the battle scene.

"LYLE, FREEZE!" She shot off after him in hopes to recover him in time. ZZZZT. A faster creature zipped between her baby brother and the sea lion and caused them both to topple over from the fast wind speed.

As she halted, Nessa became face to face with the monstrous winged stag beetle. The momentum of her running forced Nessa to catch herself with her hands and look up at the deadly Vikavolt. Viiiiiiiiiii. It screeched along with a high pitched buzzing from its rapid moving wings. It swiftly zipped through the limbs of the Pualani trees and avoided the smoke that whisped through the leaves. Nessa took a big gasp of relief and bear crawled to Lyle and Popplio to pull them into her safely while they were low on the ground.

Jzzt PCHKKK! A sudden electrical bolt zapped a Pualani limb and caused it to snap off, instantly catching fire to the delicate tree. It was a fair warning to everyone below by the buzzing beetle growing agitated by all the ruckus. "Not good...." The words escaped Nessa in surprise.

"Woahhh." Lyle said in amazement at the sight of everything. Popp... The sea lion gave a worried bwark.


Team Cove

Yukie! One of the derpy Pyukumuku that had hardened itself, was tackled into by the fire shrew. It spit its organs out through its mouth to shape a thumbs down sign at the Cyndaquil. The fire type's sudden sneeze of smoke, made it difficult for the line of Pyukumuku to see.

While that happened, the baby T-Rex whipped the closest Pyukumuku with a sturdy tail and caused its defense to lower when it tumbled backward. Two other Pyukumuku that had used Harden, were hit by the toxins that were slung on them by the poisonous froggy. A purple streak formed across they're faces as they took damage from the Toxic. Both of them gave the Croagunk the bird in unison.

The second smash from Darumaka's Rage attack, caused two of the weaker cucumbers to faint. The other three Pyukumuku pests had hardened themselves, and joined the larger line of them.

Chouu! Chinchou bounced behind the line of Pyukumuku to evade Charmander's Scratch, and the blue fish began emitting shaky sound waves at the fire lizard to try and confuse it. One of the Pyukumuku spat out a white, outstretched hand to warn the Charmander to Stop.

PYUU! Pikachu's cute charm made one of the Pyukumuku randomly slide down the line boastfully as if it was the best sea blob there. Little did it know, that its attack was being harshly lowered in the process.

Swooshh! A sudden mini tornado swept two of the Pyukumuku into the air and slung them onto the sands. Having used Bide, they both froze in place once returning to the line to prepare for higher damage Counters. The gust of wind, however, cleared the Smokescreen away.

...

Arriving on the shore, was an additional Chinchou that escorted a pair of slugs that plopped out from the tide - one blue and one pink. Shelloooo! The blue Shellos sibling bellowed while observing its foes. They had been long time friends to the Pyukumuku and were troubled by the attacks on them by the humans. The new Chinchou had seen their other Chinchou pal being attacked and brought back help.

LOSSS! The pink Shellos spat out several blobs of mud toward Ajax's Pokémon and triggered the blue one to do the same toward the other students's Pokémon. The slugs kept their distance at the center of the sea of Pyukumuku as a whole. Their Chinchou body guards wiggled around in the rain happily on either side of them, ready to attack when need be.

"IF YOU NEED. MOUMOU REVIVE FOR YOU." Moumou held up her sign of Max Revives to the students and pointed to it. It looked like they might need them soon.

Kai helped to free the poor butterfly pokemon from the grubbin, thankful for the help from the other pokemon he made sure that the shopkeep got away to safety with his pokemon. "Thanks man!!" He called to Quinn, greatful as he turned his attention to Rose, eyes widening to the string shot fired to her. "ROSE LOOK OUT!" He cried. SNIV! Snivy happily cried, holding the pod close, prideful of what she managed to do she was confused but turned around, seeing the string shot before it hit she held the pod close to her, not letting it go, understanding this pod was important.

Kai's heart tightendd, seeing the bug pokemon surround Rose, who was now slowed due to the sticky stringshot, and he gasped to the.. vikavolt they said, the lightning it gave scared him, and he saw the branch light. "Somebody take the burning branch off the tree, or put it out!!!" He cried and rushed towards Snivy, getting in range and holding his arms out to catch the little grass snake pokemon. "Rose! Tackle me!" He ordered, bracing himself as Rose looked over, shocked but understanding he had a plan. She used tackle to tackle Kai, hating the resulting grunt of pain as he caught her and took the hit. "Hang on guys, I have an idea!" He cried to the rest, and looked to the flower shop, running to it and entering with Rose in his arms. He looked to the male within. "Alright, I got a seed pod off the tree, if worse comes to worse, I need rubber gloves and any purely metal garden tools you have so I can try to ground the electric attacks..!" He said, in a hurry as he looked around and looked to the state outside while pulling the string off Snivy. Snivy held the seed pod out to the male, giving a proud note to having kept it safe despite the attacks made to her.. she was quite a proud, brave little pokemon. Sni! Snivy!

"Aw~ Did you miss me?" Gabriel replied with a grin to the guy with dreads. At least he wasn't making fun of Drifloon or Cyndaquil, as far as he could tell. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere!"

Gabriel was overjoyed that Gust actually did something, even if it didn't seem like much and blew away all the smoke from Cyndaquil's Smokescreen. Drifloon looked back at him, possibly asking if that was what it was supposed to do. Gabriel gave it a thumbs up and said, "That's it! Now, uh..." He should probably just keep attacking. "Use Gust again!" Once again, Drifloon glowed blue, and launched whirlwinds towards the Pyukumuku. This would probably come back to haunt him later.

For now though, things were looking pretty good. They had the help of the guy who had stumbled upon the scene, whose Pokemon actually seemed to be helping make a small dent in the Pyukumuku numbers. It seemed like Aureus had a plan, and was getting Cleo's help for it. If Cyndaquil were up for it, I could use Smokescreen so the Pyukumuku wouldn't see them coming... It might take a bit to coax the shrew into rejoining the battle, and he wasn't sure he had that much time. "I can try to get Cyndaquil to use Smokescreen again, so that it'll be harder for the Pyukumuku to strike back. I'm not making any promises though." He said to the two of them. He wouldn't force Cyndaquil to fight if it didn't want to.

Gabriel noticed that Cleo's Charmander was sparring with the Chinchou. Maybe he could send Drifloon over to get it away, if it was in trouble. "Cleo, do you want me to get Charmander out of there? It looks like it might need some help."

The arrival of another Chinchou and two sea slugs raised some concern, especially when they joined in launching attacks at their Pokemon. Mud was launched at the students' Pokemon, and one of these globs managed to get Drifloon, who seemed to be spaced out. When Gabriel checked on Drifloon, though, it didn't seem too badly hurt by the attack. Gabriel breathed a sigh of relief, but jumped when Moumou announced that she had Max Revives. For a moment he had managed to forget that she was there.
 
Cleo glanced to Gabriel after watching Chara growl and scratch and spew embers randomly as the confusion took effect.

"That sounds like a good plan! Yeah, Chara is gonna have to stay out of commission for a bit at this rate." she replied, biting her bottom lip in thought.

"Pika!" Meanwhile, Pikachu smiled at Aureus' Pichu, holding hands with the Baby Pokemon as her cheeks sparked to life, ready to attempt releasing a Thundershock on some of the Pyukumuku along the front lines. She did giggle at the Pyukumuku who tried to look like he was hot stuff, it was kinda cute in a way.

Cleo grabbed Chara's pokeball, intending to return him as soon as possibly for the time being.

The fear on Lavender's face as the new evolved bug took flight and showed off its tremendous power. The Vikavolt was ready to bring on a real fight, and fighting with pokemon isn't exactly something Lavender has done with her pokeomn. As it flew around the arena, Lavender carefully observed such a deadly pokemon.

Lavender became even more shocked when the pokemon's power caused the tree branch to ignite on fire. It seems this new pokemon is going to cause even more problems with the assignment...Or maybe this was part of the assignment. The owl pokemon observed Lavender as it watched Vikavolt do its own thing.

However while the owl pokemon was drawn into Lavender's thinking, the owl pokemon was quickly struck by some kind of lightning attack. Lavender looked back to see Rowlet being shocked by one of the Charjabugs. "Rowlet!" She cried out to Rowlet as it falls to the ground. While it can still fight, another blow will cause it to faint, which doesn't seem to be a penalty in this assignment as they hand out max revives to the students for when their pokeomn faint, but is this another part of the test? Would letting Rowlet faint once cause her to lose points in school?

Regardless of the outcome, Lavender watched as the owl pokemon got back up on its wings let out a mighty, yet cute little roar. With Lavender getting back to her senses, she was ready to take the front lines into getting rid of this infestation.

Lavender looked around the section and took notes on the situation. We have plenty more Grubbins to be taken care of, there's a Charjabug out there attacking the team's pokemon, and then we have the Vikavolt as it observes the trainers and the other pokemon. Rather or not this was planned from the get go by the staff, this is quite the sticky situation they were in. Luckily the trial captain was assigned to bring items into the battle for when the pokemon fainted in battle. But were they being graded on how well they perform? Would having pokemon faint lower the grade? Fainting pokemon increase the grade? If that's the case, she needed to do something other than mope.

Lavender looked at Rowlet and took out her pokedex to get a quick scan on the owl pokemon.

the only move that would be useful in this battle would be peck due to it being super effective on Grubbin, as Charjabug and Vikavolt receive the electric type on evolution. "Alright Rowlet, just try to peck at one of the bugs, just as long as you don't hit the big flying blue bug." She commanded, With a salute, the owl pokemon flew up in the sky, and as it prepared it's beak and attempted to pierce through one of the Grubbin on the ground with a soaring impact, enough to case it to faint if it were to connect.

Ajax groaned when the unknown person(Aureus) "Jackass." he mumbled an saw Caesar missed, he then saw the shellos who came to aid the pyukumuku "Genji, Toxic on those two." he said pointing at the shellos. Genji dripped poison goo from his hands and flung it over. Ajax turned to the pyukumuku "Caesar, Thunder fang." Caeser clamped it's jaws on one of the pyukumuku, lightning crackling from his jaws. He then turned to Moumou "I got this." he said plainly and waited to see if Genji's toxic hit. He looked around and saw several people attacking the pyukumuku with their pokemon as well, he raised an eyebrow confused as to what what going on "What the helix is going on here?" he asked to himself but loud enough for anyone to here.
 
Nova's heart broke when her Growlithe was surrounded. "Oh no.." She said as she watched helplessly as the bugs attacked the puppy pokemon all at once. Causing the orange fire pokemon to faint on impact. "Get away from him!" Nova said, angrily running at the bugs, shooing them as she reached out to grab her hurt pokemon. She scooped the puppy up in her arms and quickly scurried over to Nessa. Hanging her low in defeat she couldn't help the tear that escaped her big brown eyes. "I.. I need.. help" She stuttered out at Nessa.

When Nessa gave her the max revive a tiny smile spread across her face, quickly interrupted when she heard Phanpy's screaming. She turned her head to see a Grubbin attacking her already weakened Phanpy. "Dang it!" She said, her voice raising with a slight angry tone to it. Now she was getting serious. Turning back to Nessa and simply saying "Make that 2 revives"

After she had received the medicine she ran over to her exhausted pokemon and gently fed them to her partners. "I'm so sorry guys, I let you down." She said softly as her pokemon began to spring back to life. She felt Phanpy's gentle touch as he used his trunk to gently wipe away her tear. She sniffed a bit as a small smile came back to her face. Her first time as a trainer was off to a rough start, however her partners had the confidence in her too keep fighting by her side. "Grow lithe I understand if you don't want to fight any-" She was cut off by the tiny pokemon barking in her face. Her eye widened a bit as her smile grew. "O-Okay then" She said, standing straight up and brushing her legs off. "Let's show these bugs what were really made off!" She said, her two partners by her side.

"Growlithe finish what you started!" She commanded, the little pokemon giving a fierce bark as he ran at the Grubbin that had previously attacked him. Using his small fire attack to try to land a burn hit on the bugs. "Phanpy, tackle!" She said, pointing at the grubbing that tried to attack the fire puppy. Phanpy nodded, giving it's small trunk a wave before running at it's opponent and trying to land a hit. "Great job you two!" She said as her pokemon worked together as a team to defend each other.

She glanced around to the other students who were trying just as fiercely to launch the offensive attack against the annoying little bugs. "Everyone okay?" She called out, wiping the back of her arm across her forehead to remove some of the sweat that was begining to build up.

"Heh. Terribly." Aureus grinned back to the boy. Gabriel was nothing more than a useful stranger at the moment. Well, barely even that with his skittish Cyndaquil.

"Now you're speaking my language." He replied back to the boy's smokescreen suggestion. He then glanced at blondey who agreed with the double shocking. "Ight, let's do this thing. Take your sweet time charging up." Aureus said to his mini mouse. "That buys you time." He winked to Gabriel.​

PICHUU! Pichu took Pikachu's hand and massaged its cheeks to grow the sparking electricity. Its whole body began to light up in electrical energy as the mice began to charge themselves.

"Act as a shield for any Mud Sports." He ordered Darumaka who flailed its fists in a steady rage. The red troll sat in front of the mice and was ready to play "goalie" if needed.

Shellooos!

Aureus spotted the new slugs that arrived, and things became a little more urgent with the mud spitting. "Heads up!" He warned everyone of the mud blobs. RUU! Darumaka took the hit for Pichu and Pikachu and almost fainted.

The hefty lady randomly made her offer to help with reviving after that. "Thanks?" It didn't seem like big mama thought they stood much of a chance. Aureus wasn't going to accept defeat so easily. He glanced back to his Pokemon to check on them.

"Shake it off... Time's up, LET THEM HAVE IT." Aureus told Darumaka and ordered Pichu. PIII! The mini mouse looked to Pikachu with a nod and unleashed the merged voltage. A large, jolting wave of electricity was sent toward the sea pests.

Team Cove

Shelloo! The blue, sister Shellos alerted her pink brother of the frog that began to sling his poison at them. After gliding around each other in the sand, the two slugs managed to evade the toxic goo. LOSS! Brother slug cried angrily, and the sibling Shellos both targeted Croagunk to spit their super effective wads of mud at the poison type.

Meanwhile, a Chincou bodyguard had their focus on the baby dino who attacked the Pyukumuku. Tyrunt managed to faint his Pyukumuku target from his electrifying chomp. Chouuu! The blue fish shot a blast of water from its mouth toward the little T-rex. A nearby Pyukumuku puked out its insides to form a finger and moved it from side to side to use Taunt on the Tyrunt.

"Students take back beach for islanders." Said Moumou to Ajax, as she carefully spread creamy cheese on a large cracker. "You help?" With red chubby cheeks, she imagined the man with a mohawk as a rooster that she could cook and eat up.

Shwoo! The second gust of wind swept two more Pyukumuku in the air and scattered them around the scene.

Yuuk! The other Pyukumuku began to wriggle their bodies to build up sand around themselves in order to stay planted on the ground. One of the sea cucumbers fainted from Drifloon's Gust, but the other flipped back up in an attempt to slam it with Counter, but the fighting move passed through the ghost with no effect.

Chinch! The second blue fish blew a ball of electricity that hummed as it sped toward the floating balloon Pokemon. One Chinchou supported the Shellos, and the other was looking after the Pyukumuku. @EchoRun

SHHHH! The magnified Thunder Shock, from the electric mice, zapped most of the line of Pyukumuku that had broken off from the main wave. All of them that got hit were fatally fried upon impact.

YUUU! The main wave began to huddle together, rather than breaking off any further, to better protect themselves. As a result of the shocking, most of them began spraying Mud Sports from their spikes in order to weaken the electric moves.The sea of Pyukumuku was beginning to dwindle down somewhat after the attacks from the students.

ZMMM. Vikavolt zipped back around to the trees and rested on a high limb to observe the humans below with a chilling calmness.

"Somebody take the burning branch off the tree, or put it out!!!"

Kai's shout snapped Nessa back to her senses, and she immediately got to her feet. She put Lyle behind her and she looked down at his little sea lion. "Let's help with that fire." Pop. Popplio waddled up cutely.

Nessa looked over to the guy with the trench coat and his Totodile. "We can't let the flames get out of control. Use your Water Gun, Popplio." She remembered the move under Popplio's info at the lab. Pliooo! The sea lion blasted a stream of water toward the burning limbs. Just don't get involved in the fight, Nessa had to remind herself.

"Yayy Poppio!" Lyle cried out excitedly, peaking his head around Nessa.

Some of the Grubbin that circled Snivy, clashed into each other when she successfully tackled away. Edd met Kai at the door, when he entered the shop and listened readily. "I can't thank y'enough." He replied quickly, taking the seed pod with care from Snivy. "You've gotcha a brave little hero. Suits ya good." He complimented them.

"I got a good many shovels outside on the rack against the wall of the shop. Should be some rubber gloves in a pail right below them. Use whatever your needin." Edd informed Kai, "Good luck." He readied his broom for any bugs that might try to get inside again. @Shakaai

Outside, the owl swooped down to peck at one of the Grubbin. The insectoid tried to crawl swiftly away out of fear of the bird, but the beak painfully stabbed into it successfully. Uuh. Its last word before fainting.

JABUGG! Charjabug kept the owl as its target as it sent another bolt Rowlet's way. The attack inspired the panicked Grubbin around the grass owl to send shocks the bird's way too. @EternalInfinity

"Uh oh. I've got you." Nessa said to Nova when she suddenly approached with her fainted Pokemon. Luckily she kept a few Max Revives in her pockets. She handed one over and then grabbed another for her.

Growlithe's embers turned some Grubbin to ash and the surrounding heat caused another Grubbin to get burned by the attack. RRUB. It grimaced as the burn began to weaken it. Grub! The burnt Grubbin spun around to try and deliver a Mud-Slap out of desperation. A Grubbin distacted by the ember was trampled by the baby elephants tackle..@Violet

"Alright." He nodded to Cleo. "Drifloon!" The balloon Pokemon turned to him after finishing the second Gust attack. Gabriel pointed to the Charmander, which was currently spewing Embers at random. "Go over there and get Charmander, then bring it back here, alright?" Drifloon seemed to nod in response. Drif~ As it turned to float to the rescue, Gabriel called after it. "Be careful!" He really hoped Charmander wouldn't try to attack Drifloon. That would cause more unnecessary problems. He was also worried that it might end up in the crossfire between the Pokemon belonging to the guy with the mohawk and the Shellos and Chinchou.

While Drifloon went to do that, Gabriel would try and coax Cyndaquil into using Smokescreen. "Like I said: No promises." He stepped away from the battle, taking out Cyndaquil's Pokeball and tossing it to let the skiddish Pokemon out. Gabriel stood between Cyndaquil and the battle so he wouldn't immediately see that mess and take off again. "Hey buddy..." He reached out and pet Cyndaquil on the head. He looked around, then scrambled closer to Gabriel. He could probably tell they were still at the beach with the infestation, so he'd make this quick. "I just need you to do one thing for me, okay? All you need to do is use Smokescreen again." He picked Cyndaquil up, then turned back to the battle. "Think you can do that for me?" Cyndaquil watched the battle for a moment before he gave a hesitant nod. Quil!

"Awesome!" Gabriel carried Cyndaquil back to the battle. The two of them got back just in time to witness the shocking results of the combined electric attack. "Now Cyndaquil! Smokescreen!" Cynda! The shrew Pokemon spat up a cloud of black smoke towards the infestation that would hopefully make it difficult for any attacks from the Pyukumuku, Chinchou, and Shellos to hit. Gabriel was ecstatic. "Good job Cyndaquil!" He turned to Cleo and Aureus as Pikachu and Pichu finished their combined attack. "Gotta say, there's a real spark between those two."

Meanwhile, Drifloon floated over the battle to get to Charmander. She seemed quite amused by the failed counter attack, and she let her guard down. So far none of the attacks had been effective against her, or were meant to hit her. She wasn't paying attention when the super effective electric type attack went straight for her. The attack landed, and another hit or two like that would probably make her faint. At least this caused her to keep her guard up the rest of the way, avoiding the confrontations happening with Croagunk and Tyrunt.

Drifloon carefully went to pick up the confused Charmander, then struggled to carry it back to the trainers.She dropped it off near Cleo,then drifted back to Gabriel. "Thanks Drifloon!" He shifted Cyndaquil over to one arm in order to run his hand through the wisp on top of Drifloon's head. "No more Gusts for now. I think Astonish was another move you had, though." While Drifloon looked a little worse for wear, she would still be able to fight for just a bit longer. "Do we have another plan?" He asked. He was open to ideas.
 
Quinn - The Merry Bloom

Quinn looked on in satisfaction at his Pokemon's successful freeing of the Vivillon, and felt pride at the thanks he got. "Twas nothing." he said in fake humility. Suddenly though, the situation went into chaos, too quickly for Quinn to react immediately. One of the Charjabug had spontaneously evolved into a Vikavolt, and the fire caused by the enraged Vikavolt was on the verge of spiraling out of control. In response to Nessa's request, Quinn said "Roger that. Totodile, use Water Gun on that branch as well. Help Popplio out would you?" Totodile dutifully obeyed, and shot a stream of water at the branch.

Meanwhile, something bothered him. The Vikavolt, which he expected to be just rampaging around the meadow, was on a branch, waiting. Were they some sort of ambush predator? Regardless, he felt some unease about the situation, and told Pikipek "Astrid, keep an eye on that Vikavolt. If it goes after somebody I want you to Peck it and be a nusiance. I have a bad feeling about this." Pikipek gave an alarmed look to Quinn, but looked at the Vikavolt, just hoping that it would not have to go toe to toe with it.

Kai gave a nod, and Snivy gave a proud nod, holding her head up high as her trainer nodded. "Thanks..! She's a real trooper yea.... thank you..!" He thanked him when he heard of the shovels and other metal tools outside. He of course was in a hurry, and brought Rose upto his shoulders. "Hang onto me Rose, and keep using leer on em!" Rose nodded, and held on as Kai rushed outside, taking a small pause to look at everything going on and figure out a plan for where to root the metal items down.

Rose kept using leer as told, clinging to Kai, and he found the bucket, getting the rubber gloves on he gulped thickly, trying not to think too much and get freaked out. He took the metal shovels, rakes.. and he ran to various spots, sticking the shovel hard into the earth, spreading them out he then stuck the pole end of the rake into the ground in other places, quickly moving from the metal objects once placed. He ran through all the metal things he could and called out. "This should help draw the electric attacks off course from your pokemon..!!" He called, and looked to who needed any help, knowing if possible he could send Rose out there again.. but he was worried she'd be done in and hurt. Yes, they had max revives and such but he didn't want to have to use that! Because to his mind that ment that he failed Rose as her trainer, and he let her get hurt so badly when he could have played it smart.
 
Ajax raised an eyebrow confused "There's a school here?" he asked, Caesar spat out the pyukumuku and roared when hit with water, he shook it off and crackled lightning in it's jaw again "Caesar, wait for my order." Ajax said but to no avail, Caesar clamped it's electrified jaws on the pyukumuku that taunted him, shaking it left and right angrily. Ajax groaned and turned his attention to Genji "Genji, use counter and mud-slap." Genji let himself be hit by the wads of mud before flinging them back with twice the force, he then drooled on the floor to moisten the sand and slap a muddy wad at the direction of the slugs. Genji was panting, those mud wads hit him rather hard. He wasn't on his last legs but he was rather beat up "Dammit, he wont last long at this rate." Ajax mumbled, he was trying to think of a way he could keep him in the fight but he forgot to buy healing items.

ZMMM. Vikavolt zipped back around to the trees and rested on a high limb to observe the humans below with a chilling calmness.

"Somebody take the burning branch off the tree, or put it out!!!"

Kai's shout snapped Nessa back to her senses, and she immediately got to her feet. She put Lyle behind her and she looked down at his little sea lion. "Let's help with that fire." Pop. Popplio waddled up cutely.

Nessa looked over to the guy with the trench coat and his Totodile. "We can't let the flames get out of control. Use your Water Gun, Popplio." She remembered the move under Popplio's info at the lab. Pliooo! The sea lion blasted a stream of water toward the burning limbs. Just don't get involved in the fight, Nessa had to remind herself.

"Yayy Poppio!" Lyle cried out excitedly, peaking his head around Nessa.

Some of the Grubbin that circled Snivy, clashed into each other when she successfully tackled away. Edd met Kai at the door, when he entered the shop and listened readily. "I can't thank y'enough." He replied quickly, taking the seed pod with care from Snivy. "You've gotcha a brave little hero. Suits ya good." He complimented them.

"I got a good many shovels outside on the rack against the wall of the shop. Should be some rubber gloves in a pail right below them. Use whatever your needin." Edd informed Kai, "Good luck." He readied his broom for any bugs that might try to get inside again. @Shakaai

Outside, the owl swooped down to peck at one of the Grubbin. The insectoid tried to crawl swiftly away out of fear of the bird, but the beak painfully stabbed into it successfully. Uuh. Its last word before fainting.

JABUGG! Charjabug kept the owl as its target as it sent another bolt Rowlet's way. The attack inspired the panicked Grubbin around the grass owl to send shocks the bird's way too. @EternalInfinity

"Uh oh. I've got you." Nessa said to Nova when she suddenly approached with her fainted Pokemon. Luckily she kept a few Max Revives in her pockets. She handed one over and then grabbed another for her.

Growlithe's embers turned some Grubbin to ash and the surrounding heat caused another Grubbin to get burned by the attack. RRUB. It grimaced as the burn began to weaken it. Grub! The burnt Grubbin spun around to try and deliver a Mud-Slap out of desperation. A Grubbin distacted by the ember was trampled by the baby elephants tackle..@Violet

"Well, that's that," Diana crossed her arms as the fight started to end. "And don't come back!"

Diana held her injured Inkay in her arms. "Inkay, you alright? Come on buddy, speak to me. I can't have you falling like that..."

"Zzzz..." her Tynamo buzzed.

"Yeah, I guess I am a little melodramatic. Let's get her healed soon."

Diana only just realised that a Vikavolt was hovering in the skies.

"Hey, Tynamo, got enough juice for some air-to-air combat?"

With a nod, Tynamo nodded and began to clash with the buzzing Vikavolt with various attacks. A Tackle was used, since that, by proportion to Tynamo's other two attacking moves, dealt more damage.

"Take it to the skies!"

Cleo was glad to see that so far their plan worked. With Gabriel's joke, she gave a small snort if laughter and Pikachu gave thr boy a peace sign as well as sparked cheeks and a smile.

When Chara was dropped off after struggling when being carried over Cleo quickly returned him before he could possibly cause anymore damage.

"Thanks!" she responded to Gabriel with a thumbs up before glancing at the Pyukumuku left that flung mud, Pikachu dodged a few, but ultimately got hit in the face. Cleo winced as the electric mouse fell back onto her butt. The mouse got back up and shook out her fur as best as she could.

"Piii!" she hissed softly, ears drooping afterwards. Her face was all dirty now! Luckily, the move didn't cause to much harm, other than dirty fur and less than effective electric type moves. At least the group were dwindling their numbers.

Cleo tried to think of a plan, gaze quickly sweeping acrosse the number of enemies and the battles raging on nearby. Thoughts cane and went, most being ones that wouldn't really work, like a mass shocking. Not with the constant mud sports and just Pikachu and Pichu, as well as the other pokemon helping them being a bit too close.

A direct hit!

The owl's beak pierced through the bug's skin with a mighty blow and the bug fell in one swoop. So far so good. Rowlet's battle ability has caught Lavender's attention and like all the others starter pokemon, have a talent to become stronger with each battle.

"Way to go Rowlet!" Lavender cheered from across the fallen Grubbin, shortly after their short celebration, the same Charjabug harassing unleashed another attack. Rowlet noticed and panicky dodged the first one, before a Grubbin decided to join in on the attack, causing Rowlet to quickly evade the second attack, The owl seemed to be in a panicked state now and a third attack could connect.

Crap. At this rate, Rowlet's gonna fall by the next attack if I don't do something. Lavender felt the tension rising between her Rowlet and the bug pokemon attacking her. She needed to focus on something bigger, well, not a giant blue flying bug. But perhaps this Charjabug that has been attacking Rowlet ever since...

"Rowlet, focus your attacks at the Charjabug there, if we defeat it, it should lower the morale of the other bug pokemon." Lavender gave a quick order to the Rowlet, which he understood. Coo! The owl responded and flew towards the Charjabug that was attacking from a distance away. Aiming its beak, The owl attempted to stab the green bug with its beak in order to weaken it. It may not kill the bug, but it might injure it that someone can finish it off.
 
Team Cove

The dark, wispy cloud of smokescreen poured across the final wave of Sea cucumber Pokémon. Pyuk! Pyu! Pyuk! They bunched together for individual protection, yet they tried to keep close to the original spots they had claimed. Their enemies, the humans and their domesticated Pokémon partners, were disappearing behind the veil of grayness that began to envelop the sea pests. Cyndaquil's job of decreasing their accuracy was a success, as it momentarily blinded the pests from seeing their targets.

"Pokémon School nearby. So much to learn." The humongous lady informed Ajax between mouthfuls. She threw a handful of frosted donut holes into her gaping mouth. She gazed giddily at Ajax's battling while she ate her brunch. "You go to see. You may like." Moumou took out a coconut pastry. She pinched her nose from the smell of smoke before inhaling the flakey dessert. Meanwhile, Ajax's dinosaur was treating the taunting Pyukumuku as a chew toy. The sea pest was violently shaken between unforgiving fangs and simultaneously electrocuted by the vengeful Tyrunt - fainting instantaneously as a result.

Revolving around each other, the sibling slugs were already anticipating the retaliation of the frog. The smoke kept them gliding cautiously as they became anxious when it became difficult to see the enemy. They avoided the Counter slings of mud, but the blue slug was hit by the last muddy wad. The splattering of the mud against her body sprayed up to muddy her face. She shook her body off once realizing it was mud and just looked around blankly. It wasn't very effective. Sheh! The sister slug shot out more blobs of mud through the smoke in hopes to hit random targets. The pink, brother slug washed his sister off with a spray of water and waited for the cloudiness to clear. They continued to glide around in the sand to avoid being sitting Psyducks. The Chinchou bounced back together toward the shoreline to prepare for long distance attacks.

Team Flower

"There we go!" Shouted Nessa. The jets of water, from the water starters, extinguished the blaze that began to grow wild upon the Pualani. Remaining on some of the limbs and parts of the trunk, was a charred surface. Once finished with putting out the fire, Popplio clapped her fins together happily and rolled over to Lyle. Poppop! The teeny fellow scooped her up and hugged her to his cheek proudly. "Good." He squeaked.

Nessa smiled at the affectionate moment shared between the little ones and looked to Trench coat. "Thanks for helping out." Just as she said this, she noticed the guy checking out the unsettling beetle above. He ordered his woodpecker to fly after it, if it went after someone. However, it looked like someone else had a similar idea already in motion.

"Take it to the skies!"

"Wait. Look alive folks!" Nessa warned the others, as the fish flew up to confront the eery beetle alone. Once attacked, she had a big feeling that it'd trigger the deadly bug to attack everyone - including her baby brother who was currently in the battle zone. "Bad idea." Nessa thought aloud, concerning the reckless move. The students were better off attacking the winged beetle together. She quickly took ahold of Lyle and began to lead him over a safe distance to the boulders.

Zrrr! The unexpected tackle caused Vikavolt to readjust on the tree limb to stare at Tynamo. The buzzing beetle was somewhat surprised by the tiny eels bravery, and could hardly believe it had been tested so soon. Vikavolt deflected another tackle from Tynamo with its mandibles. When the eel came again with its various attacks, the stag beetle scissored open its sharp jagged jaws and prepared to snip the flying eel in two with a powerful Bite. VRRR!

Jabuhh! Charjabug charged up for another shock toward Lavender's owl. Zzzt! The sudden striking bolt was redirected from Rowlet's direction and attracted to a metal gardening tool that stood straight up in the earth nearby. BUU? The tubby bug questioned in surprise. The zaps of the Grubbin were also stolen by a random rake. Shoop! Charjabug tumbled fast across the grass from the impact of the owls peck. It flipped over onto it's underside weakly afterwards. The unsuspecting glares from a certain Snivey weakened it further by lowering the bug's defense.

Ajax looked at Genji, he was in bad shape but he wasn't about to just give up "Genji, use toxic and don't stop no matter what." he said. Genji panted and began to drip poisonous ooze from his hands, he began to fling it in the direction of the mud blobs. He would hit a few mud blobs with his poison sludge before they reached him. Genji was injured but he didn't want to disappoint, he kept pushing himself and flinging toxic goo in the original direction of the mud bombs. Ajax then looked at Caesar "Genji wont last long at this rate." he mumbled "Caesar, Hunt down whoever is flinging that mud and use Thunder fang." he said,Caesar nodded and spat out the pyukumuku. He then ran past the other pokemon and started to sniff the air trying to find a scent. The smoke made it a bit hard but he wasn't going to give up.
 
Kai looked to the battle growing with the little pokemon flying about fighting the vikavolt, the charge of electricity in the air and tension of battle thick, almost chokingly so. Kai was glad his idea was working well.. but now, the thrum of the electricity around him had him shaking.. memories of the one thunderstorm that took his parents from him haunting him and making him freeze in place.

Snivy kept using glare.. helping out while held by Kai she noticed how he stiffened and froze up, eyes glazed as the horrible memories caught up to him.. and little Rose felt a spike of worry for Kai, calling to him, then smacking his cheek, snapping him out of it. SNIV! Sni, Sniv Snivy? Kai had felt the slap to his cheek and came out of the memory, the smell of burning wood and more lingering in his mind a bit as he looked to Rose, feeling bad. "S.. Sorry Rose. I.. got caught in a bad memory. I'll explain later but we gotta help them out. No way one little pokemon can take the big one out.. but we gotta get rid of the last of these ones on the ground so we all can focus on that big one!" He looked around, and set Snivy down. "Snivy. Keep glaring.. but find any ones off away from the group and tackle them out.. okay? Play it safe, and the second things get too rough just tackle into my arms..!" Rose gave a proud nod, chest puffed out she then turned and ran off to go help finish the ones on the ground off.
