╳ THE DIRECTOR || LUMEN WILLIAMS || KUNO


A typical assignment for a Reaper unit takes anywhere from three months to a year. Over such a long period of time, it would be nearly impossible to achieve without some needed leadership, and this leadership is provided by The Director. While presiding over the unit, she is expected to make the final decisions on various matters, as well as direct them for the next course of action. Before the accident, she was training to become a director under the deceased old Unit 14 director; however, his bad judgement--which indirectly caused Unit 14's accident--caused the team to lean more heavily on her direction. Unfortunately, the accident changed things. Where the other team members only received minor scars and injuries, she has lost some function in her legs. This development means that she will no longer be able to go out in the field with her team, which is a disadvantage for them. Losing this key part of her life has caused her to retreat into her shell somewhat.

╳ THE CONTAINMENT MAN || MALE

Everyone knows that the ultimate goal of the Reapers is to cure and save as many people as they can. But it would be unrealistic to assume that everyone in the world can be saved. For the times when reality hits hard, The Containment Man is there. His job is to make sure that the territory is clear of infection, as well as clearing out dead bodies and torching incurable areas. He also makes the final call on whether a region is cleared yet, a job he is incredibly adept at. Before his last mission, he was widely known to be the fastest Containment man out there, clearing out areas in two months flat. But after finding out that he was actually the source of the Armis infection that derailed their last mission, he has become slower and more cautious. In things where he used to be more confident, he has now become somewhat hesitant. While it's true that they are immune to Armis, he is afraid of another mishap occurring on his watch. He and the Tech Expert were once an item, but what occured during the accident has put tension between them.

╳ THE CATCHER || FEMALE

One of the hardest parts of clearing out areas is tackled by The Catcher. Armis victims are known to be insane and extremely paranoid, making them difficult to administer the cure to. It is the Catcher's job, then, to root them out and deliver them for their treatment. This job varies in difficulty depending on the patient. The lower stages can usually be reasoned with to get their cure; others are more violent and must be forcibly restrained or even trapped like animals (thus dubbing this position the nickname "human tamer"). The Catcher, then, must be patient, able to calm down belligerent victims, and fast to catch the runaways. When she became infected by her, she deluded herself into thinking that everyone was trying to kill her, and this prolonged paranoia has placed a strain on her psyche. Irrational as it might be, this has caused increased awareness of her surroundings, despite the fact that the Executionr is protecting her. She is constantly watching her back.

╳ THE EXECUTIONER || MALE

In writing, this seems like the simplest of the Reaper roles. The Reaper Corps. handbook states that The Executioner is tasked with "ensuring the safety of all present." However, there is more included with that. This person must enforce the security of the team and secure the perimeter, making sure that there are no surprises from TFGs or savages. Not everyone is up for this job. This position is often filled with ex-soldiers or police officers who can endure the physical and mental strain. In addition, he is tasked with guarding the Catcher's back while she is dealing with the infected. Because they worked together so often, a strong friendship formed between them. Unfortunately, like many other of the Reaper's relationships, his friendship was soon tested by the recent accident. He doesn't retain too many memories from the ordeal, but what he does remember is painful. He now finds it difficult to talk to the Catcher, as they both saw different sides of each other when they experienced temporary insanity.

╳ THE TECH EXPERT || FEMALE

This position was the last one to be added to the Reaper unit. Originally, the director was in charge of manning the camper--a large, armored vehicle that the Reapers travel in-- but that all changed with the arrival of The Tech Expert. She is charged with camper repairs, navigation, occasionally going out to canvass the area with the rest of the team, and most importantly, mapping out the territories, which often requires the aid of the Containment Man. These two were once lovers, but after the accident, a wedge was driven between them; she is aware that he feels uneasy around her, and for good reason. She was the first to go crazy during the accident, causing her to attempt to kill the previous director and attack him and her. Thankfully she managed to heal with only minor scarring, but the guilt has not gone away. Ever since then, she has been going out of her way to gain everyone's trust back, even though it was something never really lost in the first place.

╳ THE NURSE || MALE

There is currently a high demand for Reapers to fill this position. Patients often come into the camper on the brink of becoming TFG, and proper care and administration of the cure is needed for them. On top of that, it is generally expected that at least two Reapers will need some form of medical care over the course of a mission, although it might not be serious. That is why The Nurse is required to have a well-equipped knowledge of medical treatments and the cure. Despite these skills, he was unable to detect the outbreak of Armis onboard the camper until it was too late. Thankfully, he suffered no permanent damage from the encounter, but it has changed his way of working. He is now more vigilant about checking out his teammate's health, whereas before he was more lax. In addition, the Reaper Corps. has put him in charge of the Director's physical therapy, although she is proving resistant to these attempts to help her.

Physically: Much has changed since disaster befell Unit 14. When they were first rushed into the hospital, priority was given solely to saving their lives. It wasn't until sometime later that doctors noticed the damage to Lumen's legs. For weeks, she couldn't even stand. They told her that the chances of her walking again were slim, even next to impossible. It struck a terrible blow to her mind. When they realized that the damage could be reversed, it took them four days to convince her to do physical therapy. Even then, she considered it pointless--until she took her first step. Now six months later, Lumen is able to walk with the assistance of a cane. However, she does tire easily, and requires a wheelchair for long distances. Doctors estimate it will take another month or two to get her strength back--time she may not be able to afford.

Mentally: Lumen hasn't had a restful night since the accident. A lot of things happened during that time, a lot of which she would pay to have burned from memory. Some nights she is able catch a few hours here and there of sleep. The other nights have her staring wide-eyed at the ceiling with an unsettling emotion keeping her up. It's fear, plan and simple; fear of recurring events, fear of what lurks in the dark, fear that under her watch Unit 14 will collapse upon itself. Sometimes she has nightmares--terrifying memories of the past that have her gasping awake in the wee hours of the morning. That, added to the slow progress her physical health is making has lowered her spirits greatly. For the most part she mentions nothing of this to anyone. One physical ailment is already enough. She doesn't need anyone to know about another.


RELATIONSHIPS || RELATIONSHIPS

Meredith E. Williams (mother)

As a prominent, former world-famous model, Meredith was fortunate enough to be one of the elite few who remained behind the walls. While Lumen is happy her mother is alive, their relationship remains virtually the same--strained. The two have clashed many times over things in Lumen's life--her choice of men, her refusal to model, etc. And Meredith is not known for letting things go, even in the face of an apocalypse. Their ugliest fight came when Lumen decided she wanted to join the Reaper Corps. Meredith was not pleased in the slightest. At the peak of their argument, her mother told her that if she joined the Reapers, that she would be dead to her. So far the old woman's kept her word. Even as she lay battered and wounded in the hospital, Meredith never came to visit her.

APPEARANCE || APPEARANCE

By all respects, Lumen was born to be a model. Standing at the height of 5'9", she easily towers over most of her female compatriots, most of whom are around 5'5" in height. Her lean, willowy frame and toned muscles lends itself to her image. In many ways she is her mother's child. Her mother too is tall, and was a famous model in her hey-day. But in other ways, she is not. Where her mother has red hair, Lumen has mud brown hair, a gift from the anonymous gentleman who was her father. She often keeps her hair pinned up in a low bun, out of sight and out of her way. Her facial features are ordinary enough. Thick eyebrows sit above small, brown eyes framed with short lashes. These eyes used to be filled with life, a light burning in them that turned ordinary brown into something more. But now they are dull, listless; often they stare lifelessly at nothing, until someone speaks to her, and they are sparked back to life. A small patch of freckles is spattered across her nose but nowhere else. A rare trait; her mother, on the other hand, is covered in them. Everything else is small: small nose, and small, thin lips tinted pink. She supposes she is nice enough looking, although she wouldn't go so far as to call herself pretty. As a child she once read a book called "Sarah, Plain and Tall"; to her mother, that is what she jokingly used to call herself. Lumen, plain and tall.

Something changes in his aura, a seriousness but also a sadness consuming his features momentarily. However it quickly gives way to a smirk.

Personality:
Rory Adams was always the joker of the group when it first started. He was the one to throw parties after a successful day; the one who forced smiles on people's faces during the darkest hours. He would chirp a song while he worked and kept children entertained when they sobbed. However since he missed the infection of Unit 14, he's always second guessing himself. He stirs in his sleep and knows that each breath is a blessing. He blames himself for the fall of Unit 14. It was his job to look after his teammates yet he failed and had them all close to death. Still, he tries his best not to show it in front of others and remains somewhat cheerful.

Pressing a finger to your lips, the bearded man smiles warmly.

"I'm as fit as a fiddle. Don't you worry bout me."
Rory has major scarring up the side of his body where he side stepped an attack from savages. As for his mental health, it's safe to say depression grips him tightly even through his toothy grin.

Employing the use of devices, smoke bombs, flares, and a variety of tactics to capture the more difficult patients without having to physically do it herself. Furthermore she was a skilled negotiator. Her smooth talking, calming voice, and developed social skills made Amelia one of the best negotiators in any Reaper unit.

But since the incident Amelia has become paranoid. Now she takes every precaution and is always looking over her shoulder. She no longer expects others to look after her or keep her safe. Paranoia and fear have taken over her life. Before Unit 14 was commissioned for field duty again, Amelia had a full time "caregiver" with her at all times, to watch over her and make sure that she did not try to hurt herself.[/fieldbox]

But she used to be a little too reliant on other people to get her through difficult situations. In school she made a lot of friends and maintained good grades. In college her grades suffered a little as her social life bloomed. During this time she also took to exercising regularly and jogging daily. However, when she entered university, she excelled academically while withdrawing socially.

Amelia was attending university when the outbreak hit hardest. Her and many students found themselves in the governments employ after graduation as part of a team to find a cure to the virus. After a cure was found, Amelia's skills saw her placed with the Reapers, in Unit 14.

For a time they operated above and beyond what any other unit could. They cleared the most territories and were given all of the most difficult operations. They had even been called in to assist other teams. But all of that changed. There was an accident which lead to an Armis outbreak on their camper. They were trapped, injured and infected. After paranoia lead to Amelia locking herself away from her team mates, she spent hours locked in a closet awaiting help and a cure.[/fieldbox]

Physical:
  • Though physically capable, she is hardly the most adept member of the team. But she has recovered from the incident. Now only scars remain on her stomach, from where she had violently scratched at herself during her dementia, with more scars on her back from a rash and more scratching.
  • Finally she suffers a minor decrease in the dexterity of her right hand. Though her hand is still usable, just slow and awkward. Besides, Amelia is left handed.
  • She Is underweight due to a lack of nourishment and barely eats.
  • Also does not sleep enough, leading to her being quite exhausted.

Mental:
  • After the infection, she has never been same. She is afraid of everything. Most of all she is afraid to look at herself in the mirror. Amelia still sees the crazed, infected, patient that needed another unit to cure her. She no longer sees a medical doctor or a Reaper when looking at her reflection.
  • Furthermore there are still a few gaps in her memory. In particular, memories of her friends and families, causing her to become distant from them. Her "daily" video diaries show just how paranoid she is.
  • At least four times a day she records a video diary and often watches them back in search of any signs of the virus' return.
  • In addition to having a full time caregiver watch over her, Amelia also sees a therapist twice a week. Though she barely manages to open up to him. She is afraid to even talk about what happened. And she never talks about the nightmares.
  • Amelia barely eats and rarely sleeps. This affects not just her physical health but her mental too. Leading to decreased cognitive functioning and further difficulties with remembering.
Only time will tell if she is ready to trust her team again. Or her if her fear of them still lingers...[/fieldbox]

: Strained, Amelia feels betrayed. He was supposed to protect her, keep her safe, but then the incident happened... Amelia blames him just as much as she blames herself. She will likely never fully trust him again.

(Former) Friend to the Containment Man
: While she blames the Executioner for not helping her, she also knows that the Containment Man is the primary reason that she was infected. it will be a long time before she trusts him again.

Friend to the Tech Expert
: Before the incident she often helped Amelia with new equipment to aid in her role as the Catcher. But now who knows how they will get along. Though she has no reason other than her newfound mistrust of people to not trust the Tech Expert.

Friend to the Nurse
: If not for the nurse, then surely Amelia would have died during that horrid incident. His failure to detect the outbreak of Armis on the camper was one piece to what lead to her infection. But he is also likely the reason that she did not go TFG before the other team arrived. As such, Amelia has begrudgingly been forcing herself to try and forgive him. If only forgiveness came as easily as distrust does.[/fieldbox]

Personality 吃软不吃硬
"Chī ruǎn bù chī yìng (Unable to withstand harsh criticism)"

INSECURE - Ever since anyone could remember, Carina had always been insecure about her self. She worries a lot about what the rest of society think of her. Her biggest fears included being scrutinised and prosecuted for her flaws by her peers. Confined with such a way of thinking, Carina greatly lacks confidence. The only thing she's really confident about is her intellectual capabilities, everything else is just flawed in her eyes.

PESSIMISTIC - Her view in life, and most especially on herself, is seen through a grey filter. There exists blotches of colour, but for the most part, these are overshadowed. Ever since she started dating <person> however, the positives in her life seemed to have grown brighter and much more known to her. Her pessimism lessened. However, after the incident and their breakup, Carina has regressed and has become even more pessimistic than before.

SHY - Carina is a shy person in general. She doesn't really speak much, especially around strangers. Her insecurities and social anxiety prevented her from making the first move in regards to opening up a conversation or meeting new people. It was really hard for her to make friends, in fact, for the majority of her childhood her only friend and playmate was her brother Jiàn.

RESERVED - She doesn't easily open up to others. This has made it rather difficult for others to determine how she really feels about things. Her facial reactions help with getting a general idea of what she's feeling, but other than that, people are in the dark of her true opinions. For the most part, she keeps things bottled up inside her especially the problems and negative emotions she may have.

INTELLECTUAL - As previously mentioned, Carina is only ever confident about her intellect. She may see have a negative aspect in life and see herself as a highly flawed being, but she is aware that the repository of knowledge in her mind is her best weapon. Carina knows how to play her strength. She wasn't born smart, but she was thankfully blessed with the ability to comprehend information at a quicker rate and thus allows her to learn things quicker than most of her peers. Intellect was the one thing about her that she was proud of and her main asset as a member of Unit 14.

DILIGENT - Diligence played a huge role in helping her get to where she is now. Once something is handed to her, Carina works really hard on it and will do what she can to ensure that it is accomplished without having to compromise quality. It was this diligence that allowed her to become the intellectual person that she is today.

OPEN-MINDED - Carina doesn't judge others. As someone who's very fear is the scrutiny of others, she wouldn't very well inflict it on someone else. She's open to the views and ideals of other people--quite the opposite of what her parents are.

PRACTICAL - Just as her parents have taught her to be, Carina is a practical person. She handles things in a sensible and realistic manner. Though, unfortunately, at times this trait of hers makes her seem heartless but she really isn't. Carina simply believes that sometimes, one has to make sacrifices for the greater good.

OBSERVANT - Details are something that Carina pays close attention to. There are very little things that she misses to spot. The information she learns simply by observing is fascinating to say the least. Observing others, or rather, people-watching, is her second favourite pastime. She may not like interacting with people, but that didn't mean that she didn't like observing them.

Biography 海纳百川
"Haǐ nà baǐ chuā (We all shared a common destiny)"

Carina's parents migrated back when YǒngJiàn (who's simply called Jiàn by his friends), her older brother, was only three years old. Almost after they moved, her mother LiYù became pregnant with Carina. Nine months later, she was born into the world. While she grew up, Carina stuck to her brother like glue.

Their father was always working and was rarely home. Meanwhile their mother... well, she was at home, but Carina feared her. She was a strict mother who always berated Carina for the tiniest things. It was why she stuck to her brother a lot, any excuse not to spend time with her mother. Her mother's constant critique made Carina very insecure about things.

Her insecurities were so bad that it affected her performance at school. Carina's teachers were worried about her and informed her parents about Carina's behaviour in class. It was soon found that she had social anxiety disorder (social phobia). She soon dropped out of school, but that didn't mean she stopped her education. Her parents weren't going to let her grow up knowing nothing, and neither did Carina want that for herself as well. Thus, she was home schooled.

To try and help cure her of her social phobia, Carina's parents also signed her up for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a psychiatrist. The sessions have helped Carina deal with people better. Everything seemed to be looking up for her at this point, and for a good while, things were getting better.

Then Armis came. When Carina heard about it in the news, it seemed to her like a lot of things would change at home. But nothing really did. Her parents acted ignorant, something that Carina couldn't understand. Were they scared of the Armis? Or was it something else? She didn't know at the time. Nonetheless, how they acted frustrated her but she chose not to say or do anything about it. Even when the cure was announced

One evening she woke to the sound of her brother and her parents yelling at each other from downstairs. She didn't quite understand what they were arguing about in her half asleep state but the moment she came down to check on them and ask, they acted as if nothing was wrong. Carina shrugged it off and went back to sleep. By the next day, she's completely forgotten about it.

It wasn't until the three days later when she woke up to find her brother had left that she remembered about their argument. After confronting her parents about it, they revealed to her that her brother had gone ahead and joined the Reaper Corps to aid in the recovery from Armis.

As riddiculous as it sounded for someone like her, it inspired Carina to do something as well. Thus, she followed her brother and joined the Reaper Corps as well. This decision of hers alarmed and concerned not only her parents but her brother as well. After all, what was she thinking? She didn't have the skillset let alone the physical strength that one would need. They would never let her join was what her family told her. But they were wrong. Upon joining, Carina was trained in basic combat to protect herself in need be and soon later proved to be a valuable asset as a Tech Expert.

SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER - She displayed symptoms of it on her first day of elementary school. Her parents initially thought it was just 'first day jitters'. However, it wasn't. Soon they were informed by her teacher that she was too anxious in class. Carina avoided conversations with her classmates, even if they were the ones to approach her. When working on a task at school, she would often cover her work from everybody with her hair. The teacher recommended having Carina be checked up by a psychiatrist. LǐYù was appalled as she saw it as the teacher instigating that her daughter was crazy, meanwhile Zhi was very much worried for the well being of his daughter. They consulted with a psychiatrist and it was then that Carina was diagnosed to have Social Anxiety Disorder or Social Phobia.

Since its diagnosis, she's been getting Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for her Social Phobia. Her condition has gotten relatively better prior to her joining the Reaper Corps. For a good while, her sessions have been infrequent and had huge time gaps in between. However, after the incident, most of the progress that her therapy sessions have made had been lost. She's not fully back to square one, but is unfortunately pretty damn close to it.

GENERAL PHYSICAL CONDITION - Carina was never a strong person but what she lacks in strength she makes up for it in speed. The incident thankfully hasn't affected much of her physical capabilities. The only mark it left on her physically was a few scars, most of which were unnoticeable and can be covered by most clothing. Part of her feels guilty that the incident hadn't affected her more physically as compared to some of her teammates.

Carina has naturally straight black hair that falls around her waist. Brow-skimming bangs frame her petite face. Very rarely would Carina tie up her hair, preferring to wear it lose as it fully curtains and hides her face when she tilts her head down.

Her eyes are of a chocolate brown colour; though many people often see them as black due to the shape of her eyes. Like most East Asians, Carina has monolid eyes.

Her genealogy is also responsible for her short height. She stands smaller than most people at an unimpressive height of 5'2".

Carina is a thin girl, so thin that her brother has once remarked that he felt like he could snap her in half with a hug. She may look underweight, but she actually isn't. She's at the border of it though, weighing merely 100 lbs.

Petite. Carina barely has any curves to her. She's pretty flat chested--one of the many things that she's insecure about, but she does have a visible waistline. Not very curvy, but enough such that she doesn't get mistaken for a boy.


Other 人各有能有不能

LANGUAGES SPOKEN - Madarin and English. The language mainly used in Carina's home is Mandarin and thus, why and how she came to learn it.

CHINESE NAME - 秀兰 (Xiùlán). It means 'beautiful orchid, elegant and graceful', words which Carina has never associated herself with. She's never found herself beautiful nor elegant and most certainly not graceful. If she had it her way she would've chosen 敏 (Mǐn) which meant 'quick, clever'; something she felt would fit her better. Unfortunately, the name wasn't her choice. The ability to quickly observe character and pull her own conclusions and judgements from it. Morgana prides herself in her 'people's knowledge, in which she claims to be able to understand everyone by just meeting their eyes. A skill that she has sharpened with a mental knife out in the field as she fulfils her role within the group. A skill she says to have discovered from a young age when the female first realised the power charm holds.

Morgana is confident in both her appearance and her ability to persuade. So confident and proud that she has no qualms in throwing in these assets to get what she wants. Even when she isn't on her job, but these are the times when she channels her talents for other purposes. Accompanied with her wit and resourcefulness she either tricks people to listen, or leads them into traps that hints towards the hunter's blood within her.

PARANOID | ANXIOUS | BRUSQUE​

While outwardly there seems to be nothing wrong, Morgana never quite recovered from the incident. Where she was once more whimsical and carefree in her attitude she has become sterner, more uptight in the procedure. While trying to keep the same tone around her colleagues, forcing herself to act like the Morgana she was before the incident, there is something dark brewing underneath her. Dark flashes that constantly dance in the corner of her eyes, a clenching chest. The fear for repetition is chasing her.

Presently Morgana has become a stickler to procedures and rules. Where she was more lacks in the past she has become relentless in following them and double checking if they are being followed. It is as if she has lost all faith in her colleagues as well, badgering them over and over again to check and re-check everything, to make sure that all is right. The Executioner is the one who has to endure her the most, as they are always out together. Where she once trusted her life in his hands without batting an eye she has now become insufferably impatient with the man, while her traps are becoming more and more cruel as well. It are the signs of desperation in which Morgana wants to be ensured that all will be right.
Biography:
As many families who lived the American Dream Morgana's roots also find themselves within Europe. Most notably English and French, as her surname always has suggested such, but also because that somehow survived all of their memories over the generations. It is from this great pride that Morgana was bred and grown to take pride in her own roots. Encouraged to take French classes in school, taken out to go hunting, because that sounded like such an English thing to do. Her grandfather even went as far as to be a fulltime hunter for an occupation. Morgana, as his proud offspring, was thus indulged in the beautiful world of tracking from a young age. Taught and bred to become the hunter her father was.

When the first wave of Armis hit the city Morgana had already known how to protect herself. She always had been the type to prepare herself, and it was no exception this time that she had already read into the developments of the virus and the prevention. While still young and attending university Morgana quickly discarded her education to sign up as a reaper. It was an impulsive choice, but one that she believed to be her calling. A huntress like she was meant to be put forward to help cure the world. So was her reasoning, and so she decided.
Health Condition:
PHYSICALLY​

On a first glance Morgana seems to be fine physically. As the Catcher who is supposed to lure the infected and administer the cure she has to be in good physical health. However, every now and then her damaged mind will find herself with faux conditions that weren't there before. A sudden limp in her leg, a stiffness in her arms, difficulty to breath. It is anxiety that affects her physical conditions as her mind whispers about demons discouraging her. The extended paranoia has also caused a good loss of sleep and appetite, making the female lose in energy and in muscle mass. She isn't as strong and agile, as before, but twice as sharp. What used to be an easy task that she did without breaking a sweat needs longer recovery times now.

MENTALLY​

Mentally Morgana hasn't been doing too swell. Whilst she is pretending to be fine the incident has left its marks on her. The lack of sleep she is suffering affects not only her physical health, but also her mentality. So is her overall mood much more irate than it used to be before, making her impatient and sometimes downright intolerant for the smallest things that may set her off. Any breach in the protocol may be another reason for her to ignite the flame.

The incident has left other marks in her mental well-being. The paranoia she has been suffering when she entered the stages of the new plague has never really left her, forever lingering in her mind. Accompanied with her overall lack of sleep and her growing anxiety the paranoia has grown itself to such a stage that the female at times swears to hear voices and see figments in the corner of her eyes planning on her demise. It are mostly figments, but realistic ones, and Morgana fears the day the voices become reality.

The incident has also left Morgana with an extreme fear for a repeat of the incident, or for falling ill at all. It has gotten to the point where she frequently checks herself in with the Nurse in order to make sure that her health is still in order. However, as part of the paranoia she frequently self-diagnoses herself as well, making her one of these infamous, and annoying, cases of hypochondriacs.

Height: 175 cm / 5'7 feet
Weight: 63 kg / 140 lbs​

Morgana is a slightly taller than most women surrounding her and of athletic build. Her frequent trips to hunt has made her lean and given her the long muscles needed for endurance. She has an oval shaped face with a small pointy chin, but wide forehead, a detail she feels rather conscious about and tries to hide with side-swept bangs.

Her hair is naturally brown coloured, accompanied with hazel eyes. However, as she found her hair colour to be too dull she has frequently dyed it. Despite the current world state Morgana still manages to dye her hair ever so often, though it does happen that she is walking around with visible roots for ages. Currently she has dyed her hair red.

She also has a few piercings. She used to have piercings in her eyebrow, but removed these as she feared the open wounds to get infected. However, she maintains her ear piercings, having several punctured there.

Hiatus: It really depends. I'm usually busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Wednesday and Friday nights. I try to post once a week or once every two weeks, but I'm a full time college student, so....

Kaci is really stubborn and protective of everyone. He tries to be a tough guy, but his good heart tends to shine through, and people tend to laugh at his attempts to be tough. He's very hands on and in-your-face, and sometimes he rushes into things without thinking. He's persistent, and doesn't give up, even when everyone is telling him he has to. He's a bit thoughtless and careless at times, and, at least according to the rest of the group, a bit oblivious to when he makes mistakes. He used to be very optimistic, but now he's a little more realistic.

"I'm what you'd call a bit of a rough and tumble guy."


Biography:

Kaci was always a protective type growing up. He'd stand up for anyone he thought was in trouble, especially his twin sister. He grew up in a rough neighborhood, and felt like he had to fight for anything he had. After the plague began and the Reaper Corps started up, he decided to join for two reasons: one, he wanted to help in any way he could, and two, he needed the money. He was barely able to pay rent and get food for him and his sister, and while he was working several jobs, and so was Kelly, it wasn't nearly enough. And quite frankly, the money wasn't bad.

Throughout his time at the Reaper Corps, he didn't get along with many of the people he had to work with. However, when you're forced to work with people, you tend to end up getting along anyway. He was optimistic about the future, and thought that maybe, just maybe, he and the others could save the country, maybe the world. But after the incident...not so much. To say that it shook him up would be an understatement.

"Well, I guess it's a bit of an ulterior motive, but everyone has to try and survive, right? Besides, at least this way I'm helping people."


Health condition: (How are they physically and mentally? Etc.)

Physically: It shouldn't suprise anyone that he has a lot of scars and bruises, both from his childhood and from his work as a Reaper. He has an artificial right hand as well from...well, let's not get into where that came from. He's fairly fit, but not buff by any means.

Mentally: Kaci doesn't realize it, but he's autistic. That probably explains the obliviousness to certain situations, the fact that he doesn't make eye contact ever, and why he has awful handwriting. It also probably explains why he can't seem to sit still; he's either rocking or tapping if he isn't doing something else. There's a couple other aspects to it; his work does cause a lot of stress and he can't always speak after the group has finished with a raid because he's so emotionally exhausted that he has to "recharge" so to speak, and he knows a lot about his job, and read the manual forwards and backwards at least five times. His work as a Reaper has caused problems as well. Sometimes, he has nightmares and flashbacks (probably Acute Stress Disorder or PTSD), and some of the previous incidents with Unit 14 have hit him hard. Of course, he keeps these nightmares and flashbacks to himself...mostly.

Relationships:

- Twin Sister named Kelly: They really get along, but Kaci doesn't see her much due to his job as a Reaper. He'd do just about anything for her, and she would do the same for him. She teases him about him treating her as a little kid, but she doesn't really mind it.

- Unit 14: He's been working with the other members of Unit 14 for several years now, and they're his second family. He doesn't always get along with everyone, especially after the incident, but for the most part, he's close with them.

personality

They call him a cocky bastard, and for good reason. Graham isn't exactly the most amicable of people--quite the opposite actually, as this man goes out of his way to antagonize even his superiors. He was never quite like this before tragedy befell Unit 14; whatever semblance of respect he had for himself and for other people seemed to have died that day. Graham makes it crystal clear he never even wanted to come back to Unit 14 in the first place. The Reaper Corps hold nothing but traumatizing memories for him now, and if arguing his way to an early retirement would be his ticket out, then he was going to take his chances.

One might think that the old man is too far gone to be of any use to the Reaper Corps, but this is not entirely the case. Though he had been mostly coerced back into Unit 14, in the end, it was the call of duty that pulled him back into action. As much as he might stubbornly argue with colleagues, pick fights, and break simple rules, he never does quite enough to endanger the team and still upholds his duty to protect his Reaper unit.

biography

Graham was born in London to a middle-class family teetering on the edge of poverty. With five elder brothers, money was tight and his parents made just enough to get by.

Being the youngest son wasn't easy. It never is in a male-dominated household. His older brothers were rough and knew no limits, pushing him around simply because he was young and powerless in their presence. No wonder Graham grew up to be such an awkward and quiet lad, keeping to his own world and holding grudges silently and deeply within him. Even as he reached adulthood, he never quite grew past the difficulties of his childhood and went on believing that his brothers were nothing more than brutes, even though a part of him knew they had grown to be rather decent men.

In time, Graham found himself joining the military, aspiring to achieve a bigger purpose in his life and to free himself from his family. Years of strife in the battlefield had earned him a thicker skin; it made him tougher and gave him the confidence that he did not know he had. But it also exposed him to terrors he had never before dared imagine. Nonetheless, it carved out a promising road that led to an even brighter future. He married an American woman and had two lovely children--a daughter and a son--that he cherished more than anything. Before long, Graham retired and moved to his wife's hometown in America. Life was good.

Then Armis hit, and everything that Graham had built fell instantly apart. He lost his family to the plague, and since then he has never been quite the same. This was the darkest time of his life, when he would do nothing for days on end but drink his way to an early grave.

Until he was drafted to serve in the Reaper Corps, sparking purpose within him again. Fighting against the terrible things that took his family from him gave a sense of justice and relief. It became his addiction, and before long he was obsessed with his work. But just as he was starting to get comfortable in his new life and was beginning to move on from the past, tragedy struck once more, and this one was the final telling blow.

What he experienced that day was far more terrifying than anything he had ever been through before. Because it involved the Catcher, his closest friend and the one person who reminded him of his own daughter, the impact was so great that, for the longest time, he resisted the calls to action. However, choices are never that easy and he did not have much of them to begin with. And so, with the utmost reluctance, he stepped back into the firing line one final time.

health condition

Don't let his old age deceive you, for Graham is as fit as any healthy young male, still very much quick and alert despite what his tired eyes might betray about his sleeping habits. Graham has picked up quite a few vices from when he was young, but they have yet to show their consequences, and it was only recently that Graham began to drink and smoke in higher frequency.

Mentally, the old man isn't doing so well. The previous incident has left him an emotional scar, and it shows in his every word and gesture. The memory of the incident haunts his every step, leaving him more anxious and hyper-aware of his surroundings. Some nights, he can barely sleep. Other nights, he can't sleep at all. As a result, he is constantly exhausted and irritable, leaving him more vulnerable than ever to depression and, inevitably, suicidal thoughts.

Standing at 6'2", Graham was once referred to as a hulking, intimidating figure. With skin hardened by months spent in harsh climates, and a muscular physique so clearly defined by the terrors of war, it is not hard to see why. Coupled with his tendency to hover over people in a show of dominance, they say he could command the room's attention with nothing more than his simple presence. However, what was true then is not so much the case now. Where his eyes were cold and penetrating, they are now hollow—gray orbs that merely reflect the world around him but somehow unable to truly see it. The dark circles around his eyes are no new addition, but they make him seem more tired now. Gone are the pride and dignity in his stance, for his bad memories have grown so heavy he could only slouch under their weight. He is frequently unkempt, looking as though he had just rolled out of bed; the scent of beer, sweat, and cigarettes lingering long after he has left the room.
