Head propped up with her forearm, chin laying on the back of her palm, Takagi watched the others in the room converse. The devil boy seemed to be already stirring competition, although she wasn't sure if it was on purpose or not. Maybe he was teasing, or perhaps he was just full of himself. Regardless, the girl seemed to grumble and move on to cavorting with the prankster. The dog boy was planning a prank, although she wasn't sure exactly who it was for. Maybe the teacher?

A couple more bustled in or made their presences known, already forming cliques. This was probably the time to talk and get to know people, but what was she supposed to do? Just walk up to people and introduce herself? Well, that was exactly what everyone was doing, so she surmised the answer was 'yes'. Regardless, Takagi held her combat prowess to a high esteem, not so much her social skills.

"Ah.. You are almost tall as me,"

Eyes widening slightly at the sudden call-out while she was lost in thought, Takagi stared at the girl who started speaking to her. She went on about height—to which the girl was unusually tall. Must be taller than even most or all of the boys. Regardless, the girl, in the first sentence mind you, wanted to be friends and go out. That's it? It was that easy?!

"I didn't even have to smile! ...Shove it, Titan," She mentally remarked in her meager victory.

"A-Ah," Pausing, Takagi took a moment to organize her words. "I am Takagi. Takagi Sunemizuki. I recognize you from the exams... Flying around and all like the demon boy over there." Her gaze turned from thoughtful to confident with her trademark smile now adorned. "I would be happy to, that sounds very enjoyable." This was easy. Who knew all you had to do to make friends was open your mouth and talk.

Glancing over at their surroundings once again, a girl who looked like she woke up five minutes prior to arriving seemed to be the chosen victim of the dog-man's little booby trap. Judging from the girl's demeanor, Takagi doubted that she'd have been able to avoid the trick herself. If she had the reaction time for it, she was much too groggy to make use of it. Lucky for her, a tall man entered the room and seemed to catch it with ease and grace.

"Honestly, what did he think was going to happen...?" She murmured as the scene unfolded and the teacher introduced themselves, calling out roll. The instructor introduced themselves and delivered a rather standard speech, though the name rung a bell. Where had she heard it from? He had to be a pro-hero...

"...What." What hit her was the supposed punishment brought on from Canabela's failed trap. Ten extra laps? Ten? Ten laps of what?! Takagi made an effort to stay in decent shape and train, but she wasn't a marathoner. Her smile quickly turned to a frown at that information, though out of the corner of her eyes she spotted the drowsy girl. She was shifting a bit oddly. Plotting something perhaps?

It wasn't long before her frown returned to smirk as she looked onward. Whatever would happen would likely be amusing. Besides, one couldn't blame another for retaliating.

For a brief moment, Ryoku had pushed flippancy aside, having taking hold of a sudden keen awareness as to this whole fallen-girl-offer-hands situation. His eyes had widened as Momoko, the absolute mad lass, had opted to actually give him the courtesy of reaching for his intruding hand - the one jokingly, almost mockingly offered, that minty appendage in all its… palpably inconsistent consistency. The plan, initially, had been to deftly remove his hand - the unpalatable option from the menu - and allow her to take Renji's and Renji's alone. Yet her earnestness had caught him off guard;

"...Will the Heavens forgive me for this crime…?" A whisper had been uttered beneath bated breath, draped over by the squelching of resinous hand meeting grasp and giving.

Ryoku wasn't one for taking matters seriously, but something about that particular affair seemed a violation of natural and moral order. Perhaps that explained what followed, in the wake of the fall, and in the wake of 'La Guillotine', and the arrival of their teacher, the karmic loop that foisted the task of ten grueling laps upon him.

Not that, strictly speaking, Ryoku was all that keen to adhere to the rules of karma. He allowed himself a seat as close to the front corner as he could, raising his hand to engage 'sensei'.

"Hmmm. Oh! Ren-sei!" An odd pleasure graced his visage with that particular portmanteau, his inquiry taking on a colorful, playful tint, "Should you really also be punishing the almost-victim? Could be a weird message, Ren-sei~."

A miscreant delight shifted to pure confusion as he smelled what definitely wasn't a professor be saved from his trap by what was. It was obvious he'd misfired in hindsight, the man reeked of tobacco and the girl was walking while fiddling with a machine! What complete and utter lack of awareness! At least the girl had an excuse to be distracted.

". . . .Hi! Good thing the professor was there!" There was a moment of awkward silence that lingered in the air between him and the approaching Mezame, was she angry, or was she not? He couldn't tell what lay behind her tired eyes and it was slightly disconcerting, still, a kind smile might hel-- "...!"

A punch! She was angry! Lucky for him, or so he thought, years of experiencing and watching street fights made it an easy task to simply swat her attack aside with the back of his hand, but what was that feeling? "Haha!! C'moooooon, let's be friends! It was just a spoo--Whoa!"

A spell of dizziness attacked him and he stumbled out of his chair, nearly falling on his ass before catching himself, "Whoaaaaaa. . . . whooaaaa. . . . .Haha," completely ignoring the professor, he held his fists up and took up a fleet footed hopping dance, "What did you d---errk!" His vision started going white while his body felt light, sleepiness attacking, forcing him to stumble backward! He tried to catch himself more than once, but with each attempt he simply crashed into another desk, his flailing backpedal making its way to the back of the room.

"Y-you used your quirk! Th-that's not ni--oof!" Hitting his final desk, he started to slump down to the ground, propping himself against the surface whilst he unwittingly mimicked the death throes of a poisoned animal with all the desperate kicks and twitches that implied. "S-sorry, I'm very dizz--oh! Blur!! H-hi!" As he turned around to address his host, eyes fluttering shut, he realized it was none other than Yuzuki! With a book too. . . what was it? "D-Dostoevsky. . . .good. . . .choice." And with that, his eyes closed and he went limp, hitting his head against the desk as he fell to the ground to snore away his first moments in class.

Watching these situations unfold brought enough information, more than Yuzuki even expected. Almost all students were in class right now, and she could tell they were going to be a loud bunch. However, noise turned out to be the smallest of issues when she saw them. From looks alone, she second-guessed her initial thoughts about school. Expecting students to seem capable and mature had perhaps proven to be too much. Taking her eyes off her book once more, she noticed the dog-man pulling what seemed to be an articulate trap for the next person who entered the class. Snorting below her mask, this served only to reinforce her now wondering mind. Were these the students that had managed to pass the Entrance Exam? They didn't seem capable at all, but perhaps she should give them the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise they wouldn't be here, right?

Onto the information she had captured, however, Yuzuki was able to recognize at least some of the students and their quirks through their interactions. Some were particularly obvious, such as the girl with the machines attached to her body, and a thing on her chest that looked like the Eye of Sauron had been miniaturized. Others she could only draw upon from first sights. Chewi-arm, for example, was an easily noticeable quirk. Some of them, she drew from their names, the ones she was capable of remembering. Matsuoka, this one she could tell from a mile. The name was renowned to her due to the Hero Mr. Muscle, so it was easy to tell who this girl was as if her bombastic entry wasn't enough. The rest, though, remained a mystery to her. Random guesses could only take her so far, so instead she decided to size them more intently this time.

Closing her book, setting it atop her table and resting herself against her chair, Yuzuki watched as the students claimed their seats and the chaos ensued. Soon, everyone was chatting and the class was in an uproar from the arrivals. If anything, the young girl felt somewhat relieved that no one targeted her for their shenanigans. Still... It wouldn't have been too bad to have chatted with someone, right?

Way to go, Yuzuki, isolating yourself on the first day of school...

Her expression twisted for a moment in deep thought before she shrug it off, sighing in frustration. It's not like this was any different from her school days before U.A. after all. Standing in the back of the class, her eyes wandered and soon she noticed that the sponge trap previously set up was sent off by a new lazy-looking student arrival. Thankfully, the situation was averted with the entry of their homeroom teacher.

Unsurprisingly, the "articulate" trap that the dog-man had made failed miserably, the teacher having caught onto the situation rather quickly and pinpointing the perpetrator nonchalantly. The teacher then introduced himself. The name sounded familiar to her, but she couldn't immediately tie it to anything. Regardless, from first impressions alone, he seemed quite relaxed and calm about taking on a hero class. However, one piece of information quickly changed how she would see the whole situation, when the teacher announced that thanks to the dog-boy's actions, everyone in class would have to pay ten extra laps around what Yuzuki could only assume was going to be a running track. Her eyes meandered towards the boy with a frustrated scowl, but soon sighed and reached the conclusion that there'd be no worth in discussing it or holding it against him. After all, ten extra laps were nothing for her. Maybe she would get to see other students enraged or dissatisfied with the situation, as was probable.

What occurred after his introduction was the most surprising, though, and Yuzuki lightly smirked below the mask as she saw that the sleepy-looking target for the door trap was plotting something against the dog-boy. Well, she couldn't blame her, after all, the dog-boy did try to ruin her day with that sponge. Crossing her arms and legs as she once more leaned against the chair, she watched silently with interest.

Interest that was wiped off fast enough as the dog-boy managed to deflect the girl's punch. Picking up her book again, this time no longer darting her eyes away from it, she returned to the line she stopped on... If only before the same boy that had swatted away a punch to the face suddenly caused further a commotion by dragging himself through the desks all the way to the back of the class, managing to rock every seat in his way until he plastered his face onto Yuzuki's. As he commented on the writer to Yuzuki's Crime and Punishment, she scowled, slowly pulling the book down to see his now sleeping face as he dragged his way down her table.

"Thanks, I guess." She said as he fell to the ground, leaving her to sigh soon after. "I have a question. What do we do with him now?" She asked out loud through her mask as she marked the page she stopped at and then turned to face the teacher, glancing slightly at the girl who had punched him.

Renji was probably as confused as Momoko was with how it suddenly sprawled to three people coming at her side at once. Blinking as he shifted off to the side as he idly put his bookbag on the empty desk that wasn't occupied next to Momoko's, not paying too much mind where he was going to sit, "Well, I'm glad you're alright then.." He then looked to the boy with the 'missing arm' and raised a brow, looking at the mint-gum arm, "Huh.. That's interesting." It was then that the third male arrived, introducing himself as Shouya Azuha.

He cracked a smirk and looked to Momoko, "Look at that, I think you're already popular Momoko-san.." Renji gave a gentle laugh and looked to Azuha, giving a nod, "Name's Mizukomaru, Renji. About our teacher, uh--" It was then again that more shenanigans had happened, a student nearly getting hit with Carlos' sponge only to be foiled by the intended victim. The teacher spoke out and something about him was able to get everyone to quiet down, if not for just a second. Taking heed, the headphone-wearing male moved to sit down, giving Momoko a glance and a quick grin before returning his attention to the class. He cleared his throat gently, as he turned to face the front, but Momoko might feel her ear tickle ever so faintly from a gentle vibration before words came in clear as day, "Looks like our own questions will have to wait, but find a good vibe for now and ease into it, yeah?" It was in Renji's voice, but if she looked at him, it'd clearly show he didn't seem to make any notion of talking, or at least visibly so as he looked on towards the teacher.

It was a bit of a shame introductions were cut short, but they always had more time later. Plenty of the others if not everybody seemed quite interesting to talk to in their own rights, he'd get around to it eventually if they were to stick around in this school. He didn't seem too troubled about the laps, giving a shake of his head and a grin towards Carlos' misfortune, even warranting a sigh after seeing what one of the other students did to him.

Bai straightened out her back, and tumbled backwards just a bit, surprised at Ryoku's close-by face looking at her from even further below. With an apologetic wave, she fanned both her hands, a weak smile lighting up her face just enough to make the shaking of her head seem friendly. "We just won't do anything too bad then, isn't that r-" Her answer was cut short as a high-pitched squeal of shock escaped her lips. Stumbling back in surprise, her eyes were glued to the horrifically shifting limb and how it snaked towards Momoko with droopy innocence.

After a quick moment, and after having composed herself, a fiery red flushed her face, the embarrassment palpable. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to, uhm, " she stammered, her eyes' size now rivaling ponds as she felt herself sinking deeper into awkward nonsense. Relief washed over her when the door behind her opened, her small frame bumping into a rather large someone as she staggered backwards. Bai craned her neck backwards, so as to take a peek at the newly arrived, only to spy a vaguely familiar face framed by tousled black hair. With her arch still backed, she could feel the warmth seep out of her cheeks, being replaced by a pale white.

"Sensei! "

A panicked twirl later, she bowed once again in apology. "Sorrysorrysorrysorrysosorry" Bai hurryied towards the closest free desk, wanting nothing more than to get out of his sight for now. She ended up next to the sleepy-looking girl who missed to appear in proper uniform. Her fingers clenched around the edge of her table to the point of colouring her knuckles a bright white; out of everyone who she could've bumped into, it was their teacher. With almost manic-sorrows distorting her somber expression, she only broke through her cocoon of worry at Tadasakibara's announcement. Suddenly, her lungs sang songs of misery, having relaxed from her morning sprint just a moment ago.

"T-ten extra... rounds? " Bai parroted quietly, her eyes slowly homing in on the dog-snouted boy, where they slowly shrunk into poisonous slits glaring with contempt. Her whole body began to quiver in anger, her desk shaking audibly as her claw-like grip on the table refused to let go. "Ten. Extra. Rounds."

There would be hell to pay.

Once the guy woke up, that is.

Before Momoko even got the chance to hear her classmates' quirks, the teacher showed up and immediately sat on her seat. She listened carefully and diligently at her teacher's words, learning that his name is Tadasakibara Ren and that they shouldn't always rely on their quirk.

The thought of not relying to her quirk excites her. After all, her voice is quite destructive when used so she really hope she won't use it much. It would be nice if she can use other means to be a pro hero but she knew it would be hard to do so. Even if her father is Mr. Muscle and trained her since she was a child, she's knew that she's not that great. Althoygh she's fast, her hand to hand combat is average and her stamina isn't that good.

She was then snapped out of her thoughts after hearing someone's voice, her crystal blue eyes widening and her ears perking up. At first she thought she was imagining things but upon realizing who's the owner of the voice, she frowned. Mizukomaru-kun can speak inside my head? Does that mean his quirk is telepathy? Oh my.. is he reading my thoughts right now?

Trying to test out her theory, Momoko stared hard at the back of Renji's skull in an attempt to convey her thoughts. M-Mizukomaru-kun.. hello? um, can you hear me? Well um.. if you do.. please don't read my thoughts. I mean, don't pry inside my mind. Just thinking about it makes me feel uncomfortable.. Please don't be mad

Her focus then shifted into something else upon hearing their teacher say that they are doing ten extra laps because of Carlos Canabela. At first she wondered who that is but after seeing a girl attacking someone who looks like a dog, she figured that the male was Carlos. In all honestly, she didn't mind doing ten extra laps since it can help build her stamina but what bothers her was that she was worried about what the others will do or think about Carlos. She kind of wanted to help him but she didn't know how! She didn't want him to be hurt but at the same time, she didn't want to join the fight. All she could do watch him as he got dizzy.

Momoko was so conflicted with herself that even before she made her decision, Carlos was already knocked out cold on someone's desk. Already blaming herself that its all her fault, the pinkette quickly got out of her seat and made her way towards the sleeping canine man to help him. "Canabela-kun?" she called to him while trying to wake him up by lightly slapping his cheek. "Canabela-kun?"

Biting her lip as she realized that he's really asleep, the pinkette then looked around and waited for what they should do next. She was about to ask the class but then a girl with long white hair spoke. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she looked at her with gratitude. Thank heavens she asked! if it was me, I'd be a blushing and stuttering mess

As her gaze lingered at the white haired girl, she noticed the book that the female was reading. "Crime and Punishment" she whispered in astonishment, unable to stop her bookworm self. She had read the book twice during middle school and she had to admit it was good. The main protagonist was someone she can relate to especially with all the confusion and hesitation. "I love that book especially how Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote Raskolnikov's emotions.." Realizing that she voiced out her thoughts, her eyes widened and her cheeks reddened. "A-Ah, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have.. rambled.. um.. yeah. What should we do about Canabela-kun?"

Everyone was being so loud, drawing his attention from this person to that thing before eyes falling onto the dog man who was setting up a trap for the teacher. Even if the trap was successful what was the ultimate goal for such a thing? He had never heard of a student getting punished on the first day of school but perhaps Carlos was wanting to become the first at many things no one else was wanting. "Uhhh..." It was all he could manage to say before the door opened.

When the Teacher arrived, there was still so much going on and he didn't know what to do. So his face stayed quite blank as he continued to look back and forth between every student talking and then the Teacher speaking up. Calling out his name he raised his hand but didn't say a word until the punishment for Carlos's actions. Ten extra laps? That was it?

Suzu suddenly slapped his hands on his desk and stood up. "Sensei, I will run everyone's extra laps!" He was trying to be selfless and kind to his fellow classmates who wouldn't want to run extra laps, or may not be the most physical. Instead he might be coming off as a complete arrogant knob head who wants to show everyone up. Suzu's quirk relied on his body being in great physical shape so that it could enhance it. Running so many laps would surely be hard, even if he used his Quirk to change his legs to move faster. Would the teacher allow such a thing? Would these laps be taken without the aid of a quirk? If so then he would do his best!

"No one did anything wrong to deserve such punishment. But if it cannot be helped, then I will take sole punishment for not stopping the idiot." Suzu could have stopped Carlos when he first saw him setting up the trap, but instead he sat around in his seat like a dumbass.

Looking at the girl curiously, she did seem at least happy with this all, which was good, giving a nod Kurumi smiles before speaking, as if puzzled.

"The exams? Ahaha, ah that. I was just watching. They didn't let me participate. I would have loved to though, machines, machines, as far as the eye could see, how they worked, how they function.. Well my Grandpa helped work on them and I seen them before."

Moving on to the next question or rather the reaction to the punishment, Kurumi sticks her arm up, waving it about.

"Hey, hey! Isn't this the part where we beat him after you leave, just like in the Army when someone screws up too often? That's what Dad told me anyways. Ahahaha."

With that an older man who's face seemed more machine than man, knocks at the door before opening it, speaking in a senior manner, bypassing the instructor with a slight bow of the head. "Sigrun, if you don't mind, I've came looking for you and brought a missing student with me.. Tada-san if you do not mind can you forgive her lateness? She was kind enough to help an old man carry his things, we are moving you to the Tech Division for personal tutelage under me."

Stepping out of the way a young girl walks past the man as Sigrun gets up from her seat, oddly not waiting for permission from her instructor.

As the man stepped away from the door, a young girl in the UA uniform stepped into the room, with the only oddity to her uniform being she wore the winter long skirt with black boots. Doll like features, blue eyes and blonde hair finished the look, as in a curtsey manner, the girl lifted her skirt to the sides bowing in the entryway. "My name is Maria Amanar, I was recommended to the course.. Anything more I'll say once the instructor asks, pardon me being so late.."

Turning her attention to the swiftly rising woman, whos situation she didn't full understand, the other had beckoned her over to her own seat.

"Oh, hey new girl, haha you're the Doll Maker yeah? Say, if you can, be friendly to her, yeah? I think you both could use a friend.. Well good luck! I'm sure you all will make great heroes! I'll see you guys around I'm sure!"

Leaving it at that without more interference, the taller woman waves, leaving the whole incident of her brief presence in Tada's lap. As the older man sighs, leaving the room. Whatever was the case, Kurumi seemed to no longer be in the class and was a hero or a military officer judging by her final exchange. Leaving the confused blonde haired girl with a warm seat, turning back to face the one that was mentioned before, this whole situation was fairly awkward, while she had read files on them, did they have no idea who she was? Nodding at the girl behind her, Maria assumed the teacher would handle the rest.

"Err...hi...what's this about a punishment?"

~~~
Meanwhile in the halls once the door is closed;
"So, how do you think they'll do?"
"Hahaha, I think they'll be alright, now I can get back to my actual job, still wish I could have stuck around a bit longer."
"Oh you'll see them again one day I'm sure, they'll have to come to us some time, was that girl you were sitting next to-"
As the conversation carries on in it's vagueness just who, or what Sigrun was would be left a mystery.
Watching the scene unfold, Carlos passed out much in the way an overly dramatic actor would have. The sight might have been more shocking, but Takagi didn't think whatever the gamer-girl's quirk was involved lethality. Likely, he was simply unconscious... Probably.
As several classmates questioned what to do with the now motionless body on the floor, suddenly a thick bundle of raven hair appeared to move ever so carefully a few desks over, passing around Yuzuki's desk and wrapping around the waist of Class 1-A's own prankster. Another, thinner clump extended from her person to wrap around the hat that fell from his head.
"Well, assuming he isn't dead and we're going for that run soon, I could always carry him down and drop him off by the locker rooms." Takagi offered with a bemused smile. Soon after, the strand of hair lifted and seemed to drag the body through the air with relative ease, maneuvering Carlos back over to his own seat and laying him across the surface of it. The fedora was laid on top his back before Takagi's hair seemed to shorten back to its original length.
Glancing back to her new friend, what she said next was odd. She didn't participate, but she watched? Did they let all recommended students watch the exams? Furthermore, she couldn't tell if the latter about jumping him was a joke or not. Was that what the military was like? Scary...
Still, her new friend was called out of the room by some man whom Takagi didn't recognize. Possibly a soldier, or a pro, but apparently Sigrun wasn't supposed to be here. Why then?
"Wha-"
As quick as the girl had approached her, she bid everyone goodbye and left and a new girl took her seat. A much more prim and proper one from how her guise appeared. The girl was confused, rightfully so, about the current situation.
"The one laid out across his desk at the front decided to play a prank, which got foiled by our instructor, who then decided that we will all run ten extra laps as recompense for his actions... Then the girl with the game... pad... thing, over there put him to sleep," Takagi summarized with a dissatisfied huff. However, the next person to speak up brought a intrigued expression to her face.
The devil boy had offered to do the entire class' punishment on his own. Was he being considerate or—Unlikely. This was the same one who couldn't even recall a face from the exams. He appeared a bit overconfident. Was he trying to show them all up.
The expression of surprise quickly replaced itself with a challenging grin. "I was here while he set it up too, by that logic am I not to blame as well?" She inquired. "Very considerate of you... but I will do my own work. I do not wish to ride anyone's coat-tails, whether I am in a situation I excel in and enjoy... or not so much, in this case."
SHOUYA AZUHA
"It's a pleasure." A short smile was plastered on his face. The whereabouts of the teacher was unknown but judging by what Momoko said, he was likely in the staff room. That quickly changed though, when a student entered the room and was almost a victim to the prank. The teacher was right around the corner too, having saved the studen from La Guillotine?
When Shouya heard the dog of a student mention that, he understood that he was behind it. Was it neccessary? Was it actually for the student or their teacher? He immediately took a seat once the teacher entered the room. Telling everyone to take a seat, it was calm and quiet in the room.
His name was Tadasakibara, Ren. Shouya immediately knew who he was. Blood Zero, that was his name. He had done extensive research on the official and the un-official Pro Heroes in Japan. There wasn't much he knew about his teacher, but he knew his Zero Presence quirk could be terrifying in so many ways.
His red eyes squinted ever so slighrtly, re-adjusting himself to be more comfortable on his set. Raising his hand when his name was called out, they were immediately given some information about what may be in store for them in the future. Things changed quickly though. From one thing to another, because of Carlos Canabela, who he recognized from the Entrance Exam, they would all have to run ten extra laps on the running track.
'Really?' From one thing to another, it was suddenly chaos in the classroom. Apparently, Mezame Nemuke wanted revenge. Even if she somewhat failed, her Quirk, or so he assumed, did the trick. The energetic Carlos was now sound asleep, but nowhere near his own table.
Looking at their teacher, who was merely standing there with his hands on his hips, and a rather carefree expression, Shouya just couldn't help but wonder what was going around in his mind. His expression, at the very least, did not tell much. Where they in trouble? Or not?
Shouya simply just observed the situation thus far. Momoko approached Carlos, but so did others. Takagi, another face he recognized immediately from the Entrance Exam, used her Quirk, which he witnessed during the exam, picked up the dog boy with easy, before placing him back on his desk.
Eventually, during the commotion, a new blonde student had entered the room, while another left. Now this new classmate, he could not recognize. Well, Shouya did not immediately recognize each and every person who took the exam, but some he did. But then again, her name was Maria Amanar, and a recommended student she was.
The entire issue with Carlos and the punishment bestowed upon the entire class by their teacher was not over. Another student, who had a rather powerful Quirk stood up, willing or rather, asking to run the extra laps for the entire class. Just like Takagi, Shouya knew that he had to keep an eye out for Suzu as well. They both had rather powerful Quirks.
He wasn't far behind, but had a different approach about the ten extra laps, or perhaps the same as Takagi. "Sensei! I'd like to apologize for the stupidity Carlos Canabela has shown.. And--" Turning to his side, he gave Mezame a simple glance.
"... Mezame Nemuke. And I know that I can't speak for the entire class.. But I'll be running the ten extra laps myself."
"Now, if we can all just take our seats and listen to what else Sensei has to convey."
Yuzuki watched as the class went on to ramble after her question. Had she know this much chaos would occur, she'd have refrained from doing so. Closing her eyes once more to sigh, she was surprised to hear a sudden voice. When she opened her eyes to see who it was, it was none other than Matsuoka-san. It seemed like she too enjoyed the finer arts. Her expression, for once softening under her mask, changed into a weak smile as she moved closer to speak with the girl quietly. "Worry not. I am ashamed to say it is my first time delving into his works. That being said, I would like to have your full opinion on it later."
As soon as Yuzuki had finished saying that, however, she was distracted by the voice of the red-haired boy. She took a short glance at Matsuoka-san before returning her eyes to the other classmates, specifically on the boy who had just stated he would run the ten laps for the dog-boy and the rest of class confidently, as if to assert himself. It seems like the subject had still continued and wasn't going to end any time soon. Meanwhile, something had managed to take the unconscious body below her desk upwards and move it about the class. It didn't took Yuzuki's eyes too long to trace the source to one student she hadn't noticed previously. With a sharp look, she quickly knew who she was from the profiles previously read. Sunemizuki Takagi. Of course she could tell who she was. She had read about the Titan adoption situation. While she wasn't approving to the idea of fostering someone of her background under your home, she had to commend the man's initiative in giving her a second chance. She didn't expect much of her, but she would keep an eye just in case. Yuzuki knew better than to trust someone with her history.
Seeing the girl Yuzuki recognized before as the brilliant brain behind her own mechanical creations suddenly take her leave, only to be replaced with a much different person, however, left Yuzuki surprised. Had she messed up the profiles? No, that was unlikely. The other girl surely was to be part of the Support Course and her profile was accidentally placed on Yuzuki's list. Still, she was one to keep as a possible future challenge, and Yuzuki wouldn't forget her so soon. The new student, however, was a blank draw to Yuzuki. She had nothing on the girl, not even the name, Amanar, rung some bells on her head. She'd have to make some studies later that day...
Something to keep in mind...
Before she could continue her thought though, her wristwatch vibrated, assaulting her arm with the alarming sensation. Gently tapping it, she reminded herself of her eating habits. During her admission, her grandpa had managed to acquire her some special permissions. Nothing special, but eating in class was a necessity with Yuzuki's strict calorie intake schedule. Chances were she would never be at her top performance otherwise. Not taking her eyes away from class, she pulled one side of her mask away, all the while moving her free hand to her backpack and picking up a protein bar. As she undid the package silently, she watched the other students discuss the situation. Sunemizuki-san, after placing the young dog-boy on his desk, advocated to herself doing her own ten extra laps, a bold claim, dripping with a confident tone and followed by a challenging grin... A challenge that Yuzuki would gratefully accept, presenting her own intentions.
Even before she could voice it however, another student did. This one was part of the people she did not manage to immediately recognize. Regardless, she found the way he acted to be quite responsible and fitting. He even went as far as to recognize Mezame-san's mistake by using her quirk in class as she did. There was more to it, however, and Yuzuki could tell that he too took to the chance. This moment just grew better and better. After he finished, she finally took a bite at the bar. Chocolate flavored... Her favorite. Thinking the teacher wouldn't want her to take too long in something that she already considered a privilege, she quickly ate the whole bar with one swift move of her hand. Covering her mouth with her hand as she silently swallowed, she proceeded to watch just how much worse this class could get, but not before voicing her own choice.
"If I may be allowed to, Sensei, I too shall run the ten extra laps." Yuzuki stated as she once more positioned the mask to cover her mouth, glancing towards Suzemizuki and Azuha briefly. Lightly scowling after it, she once more took to blank silence. This was a chance to test herself against other quirks for the first time... A fine chance she wouldn't miss. Smirking confidently, she wondered what kind of challenge she would have from this... Ah, what exhilarating feeling! To finally have something to look forward to.
~~~ Carlos Canabela~☆ ~~~

Peacefully detached from the contest of personalities left in the wake of his prank, Carlos snuggled into the comfortable canopy of Takagi's hair, a wistful smile across his snout. Those with a familiarity with Spanish, if they leaned in real close, might hear him coo a few words with the tone of a child being put to bed by a caring mother, his sentence trailing into nothing half-way; if one guessed he finished this sentence in his dream, they'd be correct. If his warm tone made them further guess those final words went along the lines of '-- a bed made in heaven,' they were far, far away from the truth. What were these words you ask?

"{This must be. . . .}"

"{. . . .The work of an enemy quirk user~☆}"

He didn't know what had set off his instincts, but that Distinguishable and Dynamic Doggy knew something was undeniably wrong. He tipped his bright orange fedora down as he looked around dingy darkness of The Tavern so that anyone looking at him would only see his Cheshire Cat Smirk, curious eyes hidden under the brim of his hat. Somewhere inside here was The Perpetrator of a Secret Sin, their knowing eyes hidden under a veil much like our Doggy Detective's fedora. Stylishly sashaying forward a Burning Determination awoke within our detective. This was a challenge he could not refute, at the end of the day Nose It All would Know It All.

He figured there'd be no harm going over the facts he knew: The year was 1866 and he lived in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was Carlos Canabela, The Distinguishable and Dynamic Doggy Detective, best private eye in town - though that wasn't saying much. Ever since the serfs had been set free the world was changing, and for the worse, now Sin shined brighter than the Cross for so many men and woman, leaving the town overrun with tradesmen, prostitutes, and drunks. People who could reel the truth in like Carlos were needed more than than ever, though like an apple pie left on a window sill, almost all good men flew the coop to save themselves from this soulless society. A man could walk the streets in ridiculously tattered clothes and not be noticed at all among these wretched people.

And lo and behold this was another fact he knew, on the walk here with his dear friend, Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, Carlos did not smell a single pair of eyes pointed their way that wasn't aimed at his snout, or his orange, stylish trenchcoat rather than Raskolnikov's ridiculously tattered clothes. Though not all interesting things were found in that which shined, Carlos knew this too for he had came here to discuss a terrible terrible fascination which had possessed his notably not-shiny friend. Raskolnikov had not disclosed the nature of what ailed him, but just by looking at his demeanor alone it was clear: A Terrible Sin was brewing in his mind. Could Carlos save his dear, dear friend?

Noticing that Raskolnikov was talking with what appeared to be drunk man (his face smelled familiar), Carlos took a seat off to himself on the bar-counter to think on his curious predicament. Two cases formed in his minds eye: Raskolnikov's Curious Transformation and The Secret Veiled Behind Knowing Eyes. Were these cases connected? It was logical to assume not, but the coincidence was far too much for our detective ignore. For now, he resigned to put his irons in the fire and order a Scotch On The Rocks from the barkeep. The man grunted, and slid him a drink on the rocks. . . . .

. . . .But that drink wasn't Scotch, you could only use 'Scotch' in its name if you called it Not-Scotch on (probably) Rocks. He curiously sniffed at the glass as he swirled the bright, rainbow colored concoction around. It smelled like Elevators & Tuesday Mornings. He called out the bartender,

"{Hey! Mister Big Belly! Where's my scotch, because this ain't it!}"
"{%^#@^ **&! !#!#! $@@@ !@??!@ #@.}"
"{Well then why'd you give me this drink!?}"
"{___----_------- ** # # #.}"
"{Hmm. . .you are right. What's a father to do in these troubling times. . . .I'll drink it! But if it tastes bad I'm going to give a very upset internet review!}"
"{!@!@!?@$}"

He knocked the glass back. Mmm. Tasty like a box crayons given as consolidation to a parentless child. Literally. The drink tasted like crayons, you expect me speak in metaphors all the time? Well listen here you expectant little shi---

A new, colorful smell entered the bar: Dames. Dames always knew the clues but never told a single truth save for one: that they were Dames. They didn't explicitly say it, nor go around flaunting themselves like the common drunk, but they didn't need to, their presence spoke of a certain dignity that the masses lacked, regardless if that was the truth behind the layers. A Pink set of short hair on one, and long flowing White hair for the other. Who in Russia would have both colored hair and their sanity? Oh these were Dames alright. . . .

. . . .and what's a good detective to do, but approach? As he does, he overhears some of their conversation.

"I love. . . .Raskolnikov's emotions.."
"Worry not. I am ashamed to say it is my first time delving into his. . . . That being said, I would like to have your full opinion on it later."

Oh great. More of Raskolnikov's Fan-Girls, and they definitely knew something. Gritting his teeth and reaffirming his smile, our Distinguishable and Dynamic Doggy Detective walked onward to begin his subtle interrogation. . . . .

. . . . .and in the world of the waking, Carlos murmured something about poetry in his native tongue. OVA: The Case of the Dreaming Doggy: Part 1/3.

TADASAKIBARA, REN

Standing there, with one hand on his hip, the other holding his book open. Reading while the commotion, the chaos in the class ensued. Ren did not care much about what was happening. From one thing to another, they had ignored their teacher. Talking amongst one another, pulling a prank, or going for revenge.

Some were just waiting for their teacher to do something, others simply ignored him. Leaning against the wall, he was reading through from where he left off. The sudden appearance of a familiar face caught his attention. "Ah yes, its about time." Once Kurumi Steinmann had left the classroom, someone else entered. Maria Amanar, a recommended student.

Her first impression of the classroom was likely surprising. Seeing the chaos, and what Mezame and Carlso was up to, and the other classmates who interfered or helped get Carlos back to his seat, despite the words he was murmuring and so on. "Take a seat.." Adressing the new but late student, he closed his book. Placing it on the table, he simply just looked at his students.

For a promising bunch who ended up in the Hero class, they sure are doing a poor job at behaving themselves. A few seconds later, Suzu stood up enthusiastically, asking to run the extra laps given to the rest of the class. Ren was slightly surprised, that he was ready to take on their punishment, but it did not take long for two other students to give their own opinion on the matter.

A sigh escaped his lips. These students had much to learn. "Ah, well.." picking up his book, he walked next to Carlos Canabela. Chopping his head with his book to wake him up from his dream. Judging by the expression on the sleeping student, he was having a good time, but that was no more.

"Are we awake now?" A serious expression was plastered on their homeroom teacher. His golden eyes squinted ever so slightly, staring at Carlos for a few seconds. If anything, his student would feel terrified. "Okay.." Turning around he walked back up to his desk. Returning the book back to its previous position.

"You're in the Hero class now! Why don't you all start behaving like you belong here.."

"And, Suzu.. If I let you run ten extra lap for the rest of your classmates, would they learn? No. You will all pull your own weight."

"However, I'll be adding 20 more laps for you all to run. So if you're wondering how many laps you'll have to run now. It will be 30 in total.. And, you're not allowed to use your Quirk."

Picking up a small remote control, he wanted to move forward, but had something more to say. "A hero must also learn to work with others. If you believe that you can run out there and take care of a villain after another, you need to think again. Working together is important. And from now on, if one student continues to misbehave, I'll give you all more work to do."

"You'll all be working together to improve. To control your Quirk and evolve as a Hero. Don't forget that."

Scratching the back of his head. 'I think I said what any other teacher would say, no?' Ren had their attention now.

"Now then, lets move on to the ranking board. I bet you all are eager to see where you've been placed." Clicking a button on his remote, there was a black digital board against the wall behind his desk. It was activated, and there it was, their current rank.

Fuchizaki Suzu - 1
Shouya Azuha - 2
Takagi Sunemizuki - 3
Katsumi Himura
Ayesha Nishinoya - 8
Matsuoka Momoko - 11
Mezame Nemuke - 12
Xiao Bai - 13
Ryoku Kamimasu - 15
Carlos Canabela - 18
Yano Eishi - 20

"Alright.." Turning to his side, he looked at his students.

"In case you are curious, these are not permanent. That means that.. If you work hard enough in our upcoming tests, you can get a higher rank, but at the same time, if you're not doing well, then you'll end up at the bottom, or close to it." More or less, he knew a lot about their students and how their Quirks worked, and how well they did during the Entrance Exam.

"Fuchizaki, Suzu.. And Azuha, Shouya. Despite what the ranking board says, you are both sharing the number one spot for the time being. From what I've gathered thus far, you both did quite well during the exam. Fuchizaki, Suzu.. You used your Quirk in a timely manner. Transforming your arms only, focusing on enhancing your strength in an appropriate way to keep yourself in check, and to get through the exam. Well done. As for you, Azuha, Shouya. You used your strategy to distract them with your black smoke, allowing yourself to easily get beneath them, before using your second Quirk to overcharge them. You both have taken out the same amount of robots.. Well done."

Ren actually knew that Suzu doesn't have much control over his Quirk, and that if he does go on a rampage, he'll have to do something about it. As for Shouya, his second Quirk can be just as harmful for him, as it is for others. He'll have to help him control it better, like with the rest of his students.

"For the third spot.. Sunemizuki, Takagi. You were quite straigthforward like Suzu. Using your Quirk at the best of its ability to penetrate through the robots. Going through them, which gave you enough points to pass. You aren't far behind, thus you ended up on the third spot. Again, the rankings can and likely will change."

Sunemizuki, Takagi had a very unique Quirk. It could be used to help others, like she carried Carlos, and it could be used in a rather, offensive way. He would be keeping an eye on her, to see how well she would develop during her time at the Academy.

"Nishinoya, Ayesha, you've landed on the eight spot.. For now. You were quick to use your environment to your advantage. Using your Quirk in combination to take care of the robots. You have an interesting Quirk. Good work out there." How much energy could she actually store and use? If anything, she reminded Blood Zero about All Might.

Curious expression was plastered on his face, but for now, he had to move on. "Our eleventh post is Matsuoka, Momoko, as you can see. You did well in using your Quirk to push back the robots, and to incapacitate them. Pretty straightforward like Takagi and Suzu. Good job."

There was also someone else in the classroom who had a similar Quirk. His name was Mizukomaru, Renji. Ren was looking forward to seeing how well they would work together, or against one another. Only time would tell. It was, however, an interest bunch, all of them.

"Alright, sleepyhead. Mezame Nemuke.. You don't have much control over your Quirk, but don't worry. Despite the disadvantage you and your Quirk had during the exam, you used your head to use the robots against one another, but at the same time. That's a good strategy. I was impressed. But lets also not forget your heroic points. Well done in helping others out."

Despite her need for silly revenge in the classroom, he knew that she had potential to use her mind next to her Quirk. That alone could be an extra advantage for her in the future.

"Moving on.. Xiao Bai. Simple and effective work using your Quirks. Rendering the robots useless by having the papers you generated to interfere with their mechanics. Good work out there." Despite the problem she could have against the robots, she used her mind as well to incapacitate them, or disabling them in a sense.

"Kamimasu, Ryoku. You were basically helping others while also taking care of the robots that were coming for you. Almost like Xiao Bai, you used your wit by utilizing your Quirk in a way where you stopped them from moving. However, you are still among the top 20."

His Quirk was odd, and unique, but Ren had seen many odd Quirks out there, so this wasn't a first for him.

The next one was the prankster. Carlos Canabela. "And you.. Carlos Canabela. You almost ended up at the bottom. Despite your idea to use the environment, or the buildings against the robots, you did not consider the other students around you. Collateral damage, or where you almost ended up having a few students killed. Even if I liked your method, I can say that you should make sure that others are safe. However, with experience, I am hoping you would adapt this into the ideal Hero you wish you want to be. As a matter of fact, I was surprised you weren't able to get a visual idea about where they were with your Super Scent.."

It was surprising how Carlos Canabela did not end up at the bottom. He was lucky he used his strategy to take care of enough robots to end up where he was.

"The last one is Eishi, Yano. You've ended up at the bottom because unlike others, you disabled less robots, however, you were given more heroic points than anyone else here. You helped out many of the students with your Quirk. A true hero would do exactly that, but he must make sure the threat is neutralized as well. One must consider all the factors when going up against a villain, or more than one."

Ren was mostly impressed with Eishi, Yano. He helped out many during the exam. It was quite selfless. It was almost as if he did not want to pass the Entrance Exam. But, he did incapacitate a few robots while working with a few he helped.

"Now then, the rest of the students have been recommended into this class. I am sure you're all eager to find out what they can do, and I'm sure you'll get the chance very soon."

"Also.. I forgot to mention.. If you continue to de-rank, then you'll be expelled from the Academy." A smile was plastered on Ren's face. This time, he really had their attention. However, they did not know that he was more or less pushing their buttons. It wasn't actually the truth.

"So, do you have any questions before we move on?"

Listening to the other girl, Takagi, if she recalled correctly explained the situation. So the Dog Face had been up to no good.. And they all were being punished for it, well that's normally how corporal punishment went. One for all and all for one. Ten Extra laps might not be bad depending on how many they did, either way the girl seemed a bit disturbed, was it about what that absurdly tall girl had said?

"I, well, I cannot say how well you two had hit it off, but I am willing to attempt what she was, I do not think she did such an offer pointlessly. All the same I cannot say I know the answer. I shall attempt to do what she asked of me Takagi, but I am not sure if my personality can match with one as lively as she."

The others were eagerly offering to run the extra laps as well, totally ignoring the reasoning behind it in the name of some absurd notion of pride or one upping the other, it was not comical to her in the least however. As things went on, the Teacher went on about each students score, how they operated, a few were overly violent, a few support focus, and Carlos seemed to have made a habit of not thinking too far ahead. However she was curious about her own placement, alongside the two other recommendations.

"Thirty Laps!? Err...sir that's...12000 Meters.. 7.4 Miles.. I don't know if I could even physically run far past the ten much less thirty.. I'm not asking for more laps mind you Instructor Tada, more so when I myself were late, but what do we do if unable to run it in full? While I wish to respect your commands, I doubt I am up to the task.."

With a sigh the girl continues, casting a brief evil looking glance at Carlos, clearly unhappy with this situation. She had a strong grip and upper body strength, but marathon running was something else. There was some comfort in knowing however, that quirks could not be used, those who had been so keen in jockeying for position, she was curious how they would react.

What would be worse is if the others were expected to help those who couldn't run.. Not something she was about to point out however..

"I'm sorry if this is a pointless Question sir...if it was decided beforehand, what Rank are we recommended students, or do we decide that at a later date? Or is that part of what we'll be moving on towards today?"

Holding her breath she really hoped the challenging ones did suddenly make this situation worse, she rather doubted most of them had even ran half that distance before now. They needed a watchful eye kept on them, least their lack of discipline condemned them all, while she would like to help all of her classmates, they were not friends and even if they were family, that was one thing that deserved no quarter either.

Look at all these people, every one of them acting like they're falling on some grenade to save the class. She seriously thought about standing up and saying "I'm Spartacus!" With the rest of the class, they very well might just join in thinking they might be saving a revelutionary's life or something. Of course they're all gonna run the laps, who wouldn't they.

Ayesha wasn't happy about the extra laps though. No one would be. Like the nerd said that's like... couple miles! And her quirk wasn't suited for endurance! She'd actually have to run that and that sounds awful. She looked over at Carlos. She was just glad she wasn't the cause for extra laps. She always was back in middle School.

Canabela though... That guy was out cold. Ayesha wondered what was going on in that dog-brain head of his. He's an interesting individual to say the least. If robots dream of electric sheep, do Canabelas dream of dog sheep? Sheep dogs? No that joke stays inside. Moving on though, Ren-Sensei was showing the rankings

Ayesha was proud of her spot. Or at least she would have been, but a certain someone seemed to have damned more robots to hell than her. She was 8th, out of 20 that's respectable and he didn't even remember her. When Ren-Sensei asked for questions, Ayesha raised her hand.

"So aside from throwing up our lungs and dying of exhaustion, what else are we going to do today Sensei?"

Bai's eyes gleamed with contempt, as her gaze lingered on the curled up form of Carlos. It wasn't easy to make her sit with such a slouched and craned posture rather than a straight back and proper form, but the snouted would-be-hero managed it with ease, thanks to his punishment-inducing shenanigans. Her vise-grip on her desk's edge loosened a little upon seeing the teach hit Carlos with his book. Although her heart skipped a beat upon seeing the mistreatment of such important literature, the view was cathartic nonetheless.

"Hmph, " Bai grunted to no one in particular, slowly letting her eyes wander back towards sensei Tada, who returned to his spot at the front of the class. The chivalrous outburst of the demon boy didn't impress her a whole lot; it had been obvious that the offer, genuine or not, would be refused, and all they could do was deal with the punishment given. What Bai hadn't anticipated was that their teacher would add yet another ten laps over his suggestion.

...

Another ten laps?

Like a rusty old toy, Bai's neck craned towards Suzu with the terrible grating sound of joints slowly cracking and grinding, her face statuesque, but carrying a manic glimmer hidden within her large eyes. "You..." she croaked. Her desk - including her chair with Bai on top - slowly inched towards Suzu, the wooden legs squeaking terrible against the floor. Somehow she managed to lean in close towards Suzu, with her entire seating arrangement following suit, defying gravity in her anger-induced fit, bending comically towards Devil Man.

"I need you to never open that hole again."

Bai's face had become a pale mask of obsessive animosity, with a plethora of little notes of paper rattling out of her sleeves, skirt, scrunchie and pockets like foliage during fall. Overall, the girl had a distinct crazy-cat-ladyish quality to her appearance now.

"I'm not going to un 40 laps, you hear me, Lucy?"

Despite Suzu's inclination towards the infernal, it seemed that Bai was bathed in an inferno which flames fed solely on the desire to avoid further exercise.

Mezame Nemuke

As the dog boy struggled to stay awake, the sleepy girl continued towards her seat, happy he so easily fell into it. This happiness would quickly dissipate as she took her seat and their glorious teacher mentioned them needing to run ten extra laps. As tired and impulsive as she was, she held her tongue. She knew she couldn't even handle that many. She could easily run as many as he wanted them to if she was allowed to use her quirk, but if they weren't?

If it's not in-game, the sixth stratum still finds a way. A sigh parts the girl's lips, her head collapsing into a little nest formed by her arms on the desk. Even under the effect of drowsy, the dog boy was still managing to make quite a commotion before he went under. She'd have to thank him later though. She'd almost forgotten about her other hand's ability. Even if they couldn't use it while running the laps, if she gave herself the effect now...

Mezame was about to touch herself when their teacher suddenly woke the dog boy up and announced the class would be running not twice as many, but three times as many laps. An audible groan at the grueling thought of all that running. Why'd the new girl have to mention just how goddamn long thirty laps actually was? Mezame was liable to pass out right now just thinking about it. Was it her retaliation? Someone else trying to take on all their laps so they'd not have to run them themselves? God, it didn't even matter. She'd only give the teacher time to announce the rankings before she stood from her seat, ready to make herself heard.

Here comes 50, a face in the back of the mind sighed out, but too late. "What the hell?! Thirty laps? Don't ya think we should be doing something more productive with our first day? Something exciting, like combat training?" It was impossible to tell what was going through the girl's mind. Was she trying to avoid a punishment she knew she'd fail, or was it really just anger at being made to do it, quirkless no less. She wouldn't say, and nobody would know, as the girl fell backwards into her seat, consciousness finally giving way to exhaustion. Absolutely not, she told herself, launching a slap from her right hand across her face.

While she avoided being met with sleep, her bad luck wasn't over. Still falling towards her chair, the seat fell back as soon as it caught her, resulting in her falling with it, hitting her head on the ground with her grandiose landing. She wanted to yell, but didn't. If she was tired, she'd have laughed it off like an idiot. No, instead a smile that could only say, "God, why me?" split her face, water welling in her eyes. Picking herself up, the girl offered a held up hand and a look of dread in her eyes. "Forgive me, sensei..." was all she said before taking her seat and shutting herself up, praying to god that apology was enough to avoid further punishment.

Hopefully rubbing the back of her bruised head was helping.

Alas, freed from his dream by a swift chop to the head by something rather hard Carlos silently whined, stroking the minor bruise the professor (which he really should be calling 'Sensei') had gifted him. Meanwhile, his Super Scent beheld another gift -- the classroom, and a new scene: The smell of. . . .hair(?) on his person, a new student and a missing one, and some angry glares sent his direction with postures that indicated at least a tense mood. What had happened? Why had morale gone down? From one mystery to another our Doggy Detective was flung, just as clueless as he was last time. Carefully fitting his fedora on so his useless dog-ears nestled into their holes, he was about to whisper a question to Ayesha when he felt a pair of malicious eyes on him, stopping immediately. The professor was glaring at him too! Even Carlos was afraid of this man's wrath, softly whimpering as he withdrew into his seat. . . .

. . . .And it only got worse. The case of The Low Morale quickly revealed its truths to him in the professor's speech. Someone had caused them to be punished (probably himself and the sleepy girl) and now it seemed that had caused something else, hence an additional punishment. A punishment of 30 laps would be annoying to him, but to the classmates who smelled so skinny that they probably needed to eat more? . . . .He was beginning to suspect that the professor's malicious eyes spoke to what lay inside. Then the man practically confirmed it to him.

A ranking list, except unlike most rankings, this was treated like reality T.V. Those who 'lost' would be eliminated. He remembered something similar to this in the orphanage. The nuns gave points to good behavior, and made public ranking list for it. Those with higher ranks would get rewarded with treats and Movie Night privileges. It rewarded where this list seeked to punish, but this was no nunnery, the stakes were high. Here students were training for their Future, giving it their all, and to say with one cheek that teamwork was important and encourage competition with the other made it clear that this man was nothing more than a hypocritical tobacco lover, like one of those corny kids movie villains.

Shoving aside the concerning fact that he'd probably almost got people killed for a better time, a whimpering withdrawal turned into a Burning Determination within our Doggy Detective. To save himself from what he thought was disproportionate ire and his classmates from being turned on themselves, he was going to Take This Teacher-Guy Down.

~~~ Sniffing Sleuthery~☆ ~~~
First order of business: How? He sniffed out his intricate fishhook trap. . . the sponge in the trash. In hindsight the prank's flaws were so obvious he wanted to laugh. If anything, Teacher-Guy was a smart, efficient, kick-assing machine. To think that trap would have worked in the first place? Hah! Knowing this guy, he'd probably let sleepy-girl in first just so he could grandstand.
Despicable! Despicable! Despicable!
. . . .But a vital clue. If he knew what Teacher-Guy could do, he knew what his 'Prank' shouldn't. But how to construct a 'Prank' that Teacher-Guy couldn't defend against? In his musing Carlos idly sniffed out a few more things:
- A girl glaring at a guy, whispering at him. Carlos didn't need to be able to lip-read via Super Scent to know that she was pissed.
- A bunch of bananas in his opened backpack, about 20 or so remained. Of the budget he'd made for himself with what was left of Earthshaker's bounty, a small section had been set aside for the explicit purpose of importing his favorite kind of banana, the kind they had at home. Smaller than store-bought, yes, but so much more tastier. These would serve as his lunch.
- A classmate which smelled of the hair his body did. . . Teacher Guy had called her 'Takagi'. It was not hard to connect the dots, she had somehow used her hair to take him back to his desk. She deserved thanks sometime or another, and maybe she could be a friend?
- A pen and notepad on his desk. As per usual for Carlos, the pen had dark orange ink. It was his favorite.
- Sleepy girl. . . drawing attention to herself? Dang, what was her dea--wet eyes? Tears? TEARS?!?! This Hijo De Puta had gotten under even her skin!? Dangit! He needed to hurry! Think Carlos think!, time was running out, you need a pla--
The corner of his lip curled.
Carlos had found a plan.
Exhaling the built up tension in his shoulders, he picked up his favorite pen and started to scribble something on his notepad. When he finished, he ripped the page off and placed it on his desk before he glared into Teacher-Guy's malicious eyes. He then tipped his bright orange fedora down so that by the time Teacher-Guy looked at him, he would only see a Cheshire Cat Smirk stretch across the boy's snout, who was somehow managing to stylishly pose while sitting down, chin rested in one palm as he leaned into the desk, and his eyes, hidden from Teacher-Guy's view by the fedora, gleaming in anticipation. The smug posture dared Teacher-Guy to stop him.
"Don't got any questions for youuuuu~☆" Carlos murmured under his breath, certain it was just loud enough for Teacher-Guy to hear. Carlos was sitting in the front row after all.
It made sense that the others needed to be punished, to learn not to make the same mistake as the dog man who tried to run a prank. An additional twenty laps were added to the punishment and Suzu could hear a desk start grinding its way closer to him. Was it his fault now for getting an additional laps added? He was trying to be nice and take the burden from everyone but perhaps it was viewed under the wrong light. At least from the perspective of the girl who had brought her desk comically close to his, but she seemed deadly serious and told him to stop talking. Well she didn't put it in the nicest of terms.
He was still standing when Bai came over and told him to shut it, and that she wasn't going to run forty laps as punishment. "O-Oh...I'm sorry Bai-chan." He said, laughing slightly but the girl was kind of scary when she was angry. He bowed to her properly in an apologetic manner. "I didn't mean to upset you or bring upon more punishment!"
After the apology, he decided to sit down at his desk and stay quiet while feeling the burning eyes of Bai on him still. He didn't know what he did wrong, but he did something that pissed her off. He felt bad now that he may have been part of the cause for the extra punishment. While he was quite athletic from playing baseball and working out daily for his Quirk, the others in his class were not as in shape as he was. Even so, he will run his hardest to keep his name beside that Rank 1 position. Even if he was tied with Azuha he would pull ahead of him and have the title to himself.
As Suzu was sulking in his chair because of Bai's rather angry attitude towards him, the girl who looked like death incarnate stood up in the back and yelled out about the laps being too many and how they should do something more constructive their first day of school. A face of dread was formed on Suzu's face as more laps were about to be added.
He would have to find a way to make it up to Bai at a later date...
