"Just a little further ahead, then we'll rest," Bobbie whispered dryly as she walked ahead of her older brother. They had been walking nonstop for what seemed liked hours. In actuality, it really was hours, because Bobbie refused to stop for anything. She wanted to cover as much ground as possible. And she hated staying in one place for too long, it made her uncomfortable. Then again, there wasn't much that made her comfortable. Even her brother.

They had a rather...estranged relationship for a while. Yet, he was trying to reconcile with her, and she was not doing the same. She used the excuse of the world going extinct and populating with flesh-eating monsters to stay away from him. Nonetheless, he was trying, trying so hard, because toby loved his little sister and they were the only one's they truly had left in this fucked-up world.

Toby sighed,"You need to rest more than me, Bobbie. And we need to clean your wound."

Her wound, another problem that she was currently ignoring. She refused to let her brother treat her and it wasn't as if it was a big deal! It wasn't that deep of a cut on her upper left arm. Sure, it stung a bit, actually, it was a lot, but it didn't prevent her from shooting. And she had covered it with a piece of cloth. So, it was fine.

Besides, they didn't have any medical equipment or even a first-aid kit. They lost it, or, to be more precise it was stolen from them by a group of bandits a while ago.

Though, Toby thought otherwise."It'll get infected if we don't clean it." His eyebrows furrowed together. He pushed himself forward to walk beside her and grabbed her injured arm gingerly. Nonetheless, his caution was in vain because she hissed in pain anyway. His face softened."Sorry."

"Forget it." She barked and yanked her arm of his hand. Big mistake, it was more painful that when he grabbed her arm. Naturally, she didn't want her worrisome, overprotective brother to notice so she wore an impassive face."We'll take a break now."

Still, she didn't like the idea of resting on an open road. Who knew what people could be passing by or come out of nowhere. If it was more bandits she wasn't sure she could deal with them right now. Or anytime, for that manner.
