Minami cocked her head. 'I don't like taking Pain out to battle.. I wouldn't be able to take it if he got hurt..' she stated to Voidwolf.
She was certain losing Pain would be close to how it was when she lost Mason. She couldn't take pain like that again, nor could she risk going into a frenzy and attacking the town.
'However, if you have an idea, I'm willing to listen.' she added.

Gladius nods, shifting his weight again he looks at Overdrive. He doesn't know much about the various teams of Heroes, their rosters change frequently, but he doesn't recognize her at all. "You're a Titan you say? I don't recognize you," he shifts again, "I don't even recognize, what you are." He smiles, "You might be the first you to appear on this Earth."

He looks at Daniel questioningly, "Hmm, yes, I'd assume it would be. Viran seems dangerous, wasn't he the one that called himself... Genocide? I can't say I know much about White Devil either." He crosses his arms, "Dangerous, heroes, the both of them, I can't even fathom how many innocents lost their lives, at their hands."

"I have a feeling that if I do already exist here, I'm most likely without my abilities here." Overdrive said quietly. I was a Titan on my world and I still consider myself one. And just for the record I am still human...sort of."

Overdrive narrowed her eyes. "Hey, watch it." She said in a low and somewhat dangerous tone. "Genocide wasn't his fault, at least on my world it wasn't. He was a victim of Genocide just like the rest of that monster's victims were. You can't blame someone when they're locked away in their own mind screaming for help." @Red Knight V

'I don't like taking Pain out to battle.. I wouldn't be able to take it if he got hurt..'

Viran nodded his head slowly. He didn't like it when Mina was sad or angry and he knew that Pain was was nearly as important to her as Mason had been. Losing Mason had nearly driven Mina over the edge. Losing one of her few remaining links to him could possibly be worse.

'However, if you have an idea, I'm willing to listen.'

"Why don't we simply have someone protect Pain if we choose to bring him along?" Viran asked. "We don't know if these visitors are hostile or not, for all we know they could be refugees like Voltage and Steel. We may have nothing to fear." @Minami

Wayne Enterprises

Oh how pitiful, you're afraid....do I scare you girl?" He mused in a sadistic manner, poising his blade accordingly. "You're a hero....that's my reason to want you dead, your misguided view of trying to save the world, you just don't simply know just how to cut out the cancer." He spoke, stressing that word as me oriented the blade forward aiming it at her neck. "Go on....speak now."

The Wanderer narrowed her eyes as her anger momentarily gave her the strength to overcome her fear. "I failed my world, my species! I made a vow to destroy those who wiped out my people! I am not a hero! I'm an avenger! And you will not stop me!"

Her ring began to glow with power as she remembered the oath she had taken the day she had received the ring as the suit of armor seemed to flicker for a moment as the ring began to charge. Hey eyes blazed green as she recited the oath.

"In brightest day! In blackest Night!
No evil shall escape my sight! Let those who worship Evil's might!
Beware my power-."

Voidwolf inspected the wolf curiously before looking to Minami, he had an idea that would give Pain enough power to not be hurt as easily as he would be. "Perhaps we could infuse him with some of our power, it will change Pain's appearance some but his power will be well equaled to our own at best." He explained to her, a purple spark of energy flashed in his hand before becoming a full ball of swirling void purple and black energy.

The assassin smirked as the lantern began to lament in harsh realization that she was afraid of this being, this vicious opponent. As she spoke her oath a derange and wide grin began to form its way on the attacker's hidden face as she began to near the close of her words. Before she could even hope to finish, the assassin's blade would tear through her neck, going through skin, shattering and carving her trachea, destroying the muscles in her neck and ending her existence, the adrenaline that had been the product of her fear had cause her blood flow to accelerate, the crimson liquid spewing out of her wound like a geyser before the blade was withdrawn and finally her head separated from her shoulders. The stranger knelt down and twisted the ring off of her finger, marveling at it for a moment before going on his way and vanishing.

Daniel nodded to Overdrive as she explained a bit further on her origins for Gladius before accepting the apology the masked human made for mistakenly messed up on her name. In response Daniel wordlessly nodded again before letter the girl talk about how she's familiar with the map though may need some time to read it. "Alrighty. Glad it's not difficult to read."

The scarf masked human kept the larger man in his attention the entire time, though made note that he was friendly enough. Daniel kept silent for a moment as Gladous and Overdrive talked before he realized the large metal man was talking to him again but before Daniel could respond, Overdrive done it for him. Turning his head to her Daniel raised his hand passively towards her before speaking. "He meant nothing by it, no need for hostility." Said the man before turning to Gladous again. "Though she is right, Viran was well excused for his actions. He saved many lives and continues to try and save lives. As for White Devil, there is a reason no one knows much about her, though I never heard much that was too negative, nor have I heard any rumors about her attacking civilians either."

Overdrive was still reading the map as she replied. "I've run into a few different versions of Viran, for the most part they were nice people...aliens...whatever you want to call them. In fact I only met one of them that had a dark side and he still wasn't that bad."

Overdrive was about to look up when the one known as Gladius turned to look at them. He seemed to stare at the two of them for a few moments before turning and walking off into the shadows.

"Huh." She said as she turned to look at Daniel. "I guess he didn't want to stick around." She said quietly as she looked up into the night sky. "So...we still need to find the Titans of this world. Is it possible they might find us before we find them?"

Ironsight had finally gotten this meta kid under control, albeit there was some admirable amount of difficult, this kid was feisty and rebellious, tough even for him. His injury had nothing to do with it, he had to give this kid credit, he could hold his own against an experienced hero but that was dangerous. "Come on Aaron, are you really going to turn away potential again?" The voice of his oldest friend lingering in his mind like an echo, Fracture was always a good influence on him, the fact that he'd gotten the Titans to rally behind him made seeing them as they were without him all the more painful. Ironsight looked down at this meta-powered kid, almost like he was thinking everything over, he felt so wrong about this now that the gripping conscience of a dead man had latched itself to him like a parasite. "Hey, kid.....how would you like to go someplace where you could do some real good?" He asked him, beginning to un-cuff the younger male.

Voiwolf held out both of his hands toward the wolf, Pain, grinning beneath his mask as the dark, swirling mass of void energy seemed to quickly swallow the wolf up. With the void, Pain began to change, his fur beginning to spike up into ridge on his back slowly descending, with the back of his head being the highest point. On the wolf's body along the tips of his razorback-like spiked fur, his ears, his tail, teeth, claws, and eyes would glow a deep purple. The wolf grew in mass as well, looking a lot more intimidating than he already was. The cloud soon whisked away, revealing Pain in his newest form, Revenant Pain. Purple energy poured out of the wolf's mouth like a smoky vapor.

Viran watched with raised eyebrows as the one known as Voidwolf seemed to transform Pain. When the transformation was complete, Pain was bigger, looked quite a bit more intimidating and had a purple glow around him. "That didn't hurt him at all...did it?" He asked carefully as Steel and Voltage watched the transformation with a great deal more awe.

Viran was about to speak up again and was actually tempted to pet the wolf for a moment before thinking better of it. No telling if Pain was happy about his new transformation

(thought I had responded earlier. Stupid pc updates)

Ardent, as he was being escorted, cuffed by the looney with the bow. He was angry, his fists almost permenantly clenched as he thought how to get out. The only thing he could really do without the rod which the sod had taken from him would be to make himself lighter and a little faster which he doubted would make much difference and a lighter like flame would probably be less than useless. He was therefore actually caught off guard when the bloke began to undo the cuffs and asked his question. "Dunno wha' yere on abou' , mate" he said, always slipping into full on Irish when he was in that state of anger. "Someone go'a look ou' for the li'le man. Don' seem like yer tha' sor'" He said as he was rather quick to turn to face the man, rubbing his wrists, eyes going to his confiscated tool.

While they had there struggle before though, the assassin that had gone after Ironsights had been forced to lay low. He had missed his oppertunity with his prey as the pulse arrow had done a unpredictable number on his arm and the sirens that had been attracted by the previous gunfire had scared him off. Not that Apex could not take on a few runt cops but he was still a professional of sorts and being seen and scuffling with the local authorities would be highly unprofessional. Better to retreat and reform a hunting plan and get the arm fixed up.

Minami seemed to cautiously survey over Pain, drawing closer, the more she deemed him safe in her eyes. 'A-are you okay Pain?' She asked with somewhat of a nervous tone, Pain simply let out a bark in response to her words, as if to agree and say he was happy. Though his bark was no longer what it had been, it was deep and menacing now, intimidating and terrifying. Even still, Mina boldly extended a hand to her wolf, brushing into his glowing but still soft fur as he leaned into her palm, smiling just a bit. "I think he really likes it.." She spoke, giving an answer to the collective questions of wonder.

Recluse watched the whole situation with a dumbfounded look, he almost took off his mask out of shock. Just some time ago he thought he was the only human here but now he was seeing all too literal magic. "That's.....wow." He stammered, unable to think up anything intellectual at this mind boggling moment. "He doesn't seem very hurt..." The arachnid vigilante spoke to Viran as he asked his question.

Ironishgt gave a look to the snarky kid, patience was definitely a virtue because if he hadn't had it, this kid would be in a lock-up right about now. "You know what kid, I can take back my offer if you're just going to be a bratty punk." He spoke to him, his tone matching one of annoyance as he glared from behind his mask. "What's your name kid?" He asked him.

Voidwolf had a confident smile, now seeing the new and improved Pain ready for anything. "I told you all he would be okay." Voidwolf spoke, his smile hidden. "Now then, Viran? Is it yet time for us all to leave?" He asked curiously, as his hand drifted toward Pain it produced a tiny purple spark of electricity, almost as if their mirroring power at its truest level was like trying to touch two positive magnets together.

"He doesn't seem very hurt..."

Magic...I'll never understand it. Viran thought to himself as he smiled slightly. "Yes, it appears that Pain is ready for anything."

"Now then, Viran? Is it yet time for us all to leave?"

The green skinned alien nodded. "Yes. But what we need to remember is that we don't know if this is a new enemy or a potential ally. I don't want anyone throwing any punches or attacking until we know what we're dealing with, and even then, only if they strike first." He turned to Mina and smiled before looking up at Recluse and then back at Mina. "I know Recluse isn't very fond of teleportation, but do you think you could teleport us? Whatever this situation is, it needs to be investigated."

Reality 73906

Triangulation complete. Target located

Slice smiled beneath his mask as he rose to a standing position from the countless corpses that surrounded him. "You guys were fun to kill" He said to the corpses as he brought his blade down on the deceased Viran's face and sliced through it before pulling the sword out again as he examined the blood on it. "But it looks like I've got another world to clean up. Truth be told, I always enjoy killing your little group of friends in particular, but this time I think I'll start with...you know, I'm actually not sure. This time I'll start with someone with a name that starts with...S I think. Or maybe someone's who starts with the letter M. Really though choice to be honest."

Slice let out a happy sigh as he activated the device and a swirling portal appeared in front of him. He looked back at the corpses and grinned. "I'll be sure to tell this next group how I killed each of you, how does that sound?"

There was of course, no answer.

"Tough crowd." Slice muttered as he stepped through the portal, leaving only a large pile of corpses behind him.

The skies were dark and the night was still, within that voided darkness, above buildings, up to the tallest skyscrapers, nearly connecting with the heavens themselves, with every flash of dry lightning were the silhouetted outlines of two feminine figures, standing tall and proud as they looked down at the hellish lands of Gotham's night, the whine of sirens just barely reaching the ears of Black Widow, the web warrior of Gotham, as far as she knew, the only one. The female's eyes fixed on her solar power friend, Grace, the fire-powered angel of their magical duo. "So Grace, I'd say that's for us..." She spoke as she pointed toward some kind of explosion, the light bright enough for them both to see easily.

@NacNak

A swirling portal seemed to appear in the dark pathway to the infamous Crime Alley of the night's palace of Gotham City. For a brief moment it seemed to collapse in on itself, as if it were imploding, resulting in a bright flash of light. The outline of a tall masked figure could be briefly seen in what appeared to be the mouth of the portal. Unknown to the two heroes Grace and Nora, Black Widow, the portal opening had attracted the attention of an unsavory presence.

Two armored figured had seen the portal and had taken advantage of the fact that it was much closer to them. "What do you think?" The slightly shorter male asked the one whom had been a bit above him in height. "Hm, another dimension hopper..." The shorter one looked at the taller one and smirked behind his mask. "With our luck, it's going to be some sort of hero coming to a safe haven." The male spoke with utmost conviction in his words, confident they were to face some sort of vigilante. The taller nodded in understanding, the influx of heroes did bring that possibility and there had been plenty of heroes that hadn't been from this timeline and had different versions of both villains and heroes. "So then my apprentice, what do you suggest?" The man asked his apprentice in a humble fashion. "I think we should stalk our folly, analyze it and strike when it's unaware." The apprentice spoke. "Good, good....you're learning just as I had hoped." He spoke.

The scarf masked man nodded in confirmation as to what Overdrive added before he started walking again away from the scene the man was at. "Indeed, but I don't want to be here in case he decides to come back." Replied Daniel after hearing Overdrive mention how the man didn't want to stick around. He was strange indeed and gave Danial an eerie feeling. As he started walking he waved to Overdrive to follow again before he replied to her question on the Titans. "Yes. It wouldn't be below them to surprise us, of if they are already watching us somehow... I'm not a big fan of their methods let alone surprises, but they do get the job done."

En Route

For a brief moment as the portal seemed to stabilize, Slice thought he could hear voices near him. Voices that were discussing terms that applied to him. Dimension hopper among other terms. For another brief moment, he could see the two figures talking. Barely though. "Warning. unknown energy surge detected." A small computerized voice intoned as the portal seemed to stretch and begin turning from a dull grey to a solid black.

Damn. This has never happened before. Slice thought in irritation as his entire body seemed to stretch in what seemed to be a million different directions. It felt as thought his lungs were being crushed as he finally emerged face-first on what appeared to be...nothing.

Pocket Dimension

"Ow."

Slice slowly got to his feet and stared straight down. This place was like nothing he had ever seen before. The entire area was surrounded by black fog. There appeared to be no ground beneath his feet yet he could still stand. He pulled out the dimension hopper and tried to find out what universe he was in.

"Location unknown."

Slice slapped the device a few times to try and get a better reading.

"Location unknown."

"Perfect...just perfect." He muttered as he tried to open a portal back to where he had been before and the portal appeared in front of him with a blaze of light. Slice shook his head. "Stupid dimensional travel. Totally unreliable." He muttered as he attempted to step through the portal only to walk right through it.

"Oh...that's not good." He muttered again as he tried to shut the portal down only to get no response. The portal was stuck open. Which meant although he couldn't leave, others could still chase after him. The memory of the two figures he had seen before the portal had gone wacky came to mind. He shrugged a moment later. Even if they did follow him, he was confident he could kill them easily.

Gotham City

"Yes. It wouldn't be below them to surprise us, of if they are already watching us somehow... I'm not a big fan of their methods let alone surprises, but they do get the job done."

"Really?" Overdrive asked in surprise. "Aren't the Titans here well liked or respected? Back where I'm from we were almost celebrities. Don't get me wrong, we had our share of people who didn't like us...but our methods never crossed the line. I take it this world's version did?"

Through the portal, the two strangers followed, all the way into the pocket dimension to confront whoever had created the portal to begin with and put and end to them before they could do any damage to this world. Footsteps would alert their folly of their presence but it didn't matter at this point, this place was an empty void and hiding was less than a reality. "So then.....would you like to explain yourself?" The taller man had asked, his hand reaching back to grip his sword as he eyed the stranger, his intents were his main concern and depending on how he answered, he'd probably not make it out of here.
@Chev

"Hey Daniel, why don't you hold off on your lies?" The voice of Ironsight would reach the ears of the two as he walked forward, the archer had joined the Titans a time ago and always had suspicions about the dragon slayer so nothing would stop this little reunion from getting bloody. The archer had gotten dangerously close up to Daniel, his right hand balled into a fist. "I may not know for sure but talking like that is a good way to cause problems don't you think?" He asked the dragon slayer in tone that'd suggest he was both outnumbered and outmatched.

Just some feet away a large 360 degree of runic symbols would lay themselves onto the darkened asphalt, foretelling the appearance of someone or something. Though it hadn't been just a mere lone being, but several. The Titans, some f than anyway as it seemed, the seasoned veterans of the team were present of course, the glue holding the heroes together in their darkest time, Viran, the superpower alien with a nastier attitude and scarier appearance than Doomsday if you could push him that far. And Mina, the team's sorceress from hell by speculation anyway, with the power to disintegrate her foes if you got her angry enough, this demoness was someone to not dismiss as a threat. Gotham Gazette's paper's had definitely made it a practice to not only pay close attention to two titled leaders but to label them as if they were some power couple of sorts, painting the picture clear as day so to speak. Both are considered tier one threats to CADMUS.

The newest faces of the lineup were Recluse, the web slinging warrior native to Gotham, his powers only seeming to emerge just a time after the death of the Bat Family, was this web slinging menace the one who helped the Joker put an end to the crusaders? Gotham Globe likes to think so anyway, the newest arrival that had received so much controversy was the one the people called the Nightwolf, not knowing of his true title as Voidwolf. The Gotham Globe made it their mission to track their ghostly vigilante, dubbing him as the Dark Night's sole surviving protege. A void enhanced powerhouse of a metahuman not to be trifled with, CADMUS lists him and the web-warrior in tier three threat level classifications.

The two human metas, Lady Steel and Voltage, Gotham Globe and Gazette have paid attention to them where they could and by the polls of their readers, the two of them are very well liked, with Lady Steel being seen as not only a powerful role model for women but a statuesque beauty by men, if only they knew how she really felt about women. With the power to encase herself a metal tougher that anything on this planet, she's more than a pretty face. Steel is categorized in the second tier in threat level, Voltage's fame within the papers is purely within the circle of the feminine persuasion, very well liked and popular with women from all corners of the world as it seemed. Just like her namesake, electricity is her trick of the trade and who knows how much she can up the charge? CADMUS classifies Voltage as tier two in threat level.

Daniel wasn't expecting to hear a familiar voice any time soon, to him though it was all too coincidental that as soon as he finished talking about how he didn't like surprises, one of the more renown titans would be there to surprise him. The masked man sighed and shook his head under the dark red, almost brownish-maroon splotched black scarf. His left eye covered along with his jaw. Silently Daniel whispered to Overdrive, "Whatever happens don't interfere, for anything or anyone. Stay on the sidelines until it's all over." Overdrive's story was all too important and if there was a new major threat to come, the Titans need to hear her out, and the only way they would at this point was if she stayed neutral.

After whispering to Overdrive, Daniel slowly made his way to Ironsight, confronting him in the middle of the empty street. "You would know an awful lot about lies, wouldn't you Ironsight? I mean, you fooled all the Titans into thinking you had a physical disability." Retorted the masked man before pointing up where his eyes are. After that he looked around and could see all the Titans around him, and knew that he would have a very difficult fight on his hands if it escalated to such, even so his own self confidence refused to believe that it'd be a fight he'd lose easily. He was quick to notice Ironsight's fist clenching and the man who held his arm in the brace in order to disguise it as broken was calm, slowly moving the chi in his body for faster reflexes, in which he'd definitely need.

"Very hero like to threaten others, and more so since you brought friends to gang up on me." Retorted the masked man after Ironsight's comment about how he was speaking. "Now, cut the bullshit Ironsight and stop playing like you hold some higher ground when you're playing the thug. I am only sending this girl to you since he has something important to say. Finished the masked man, ready to take action and slightly paranoid about all the other Titans who may attack him at any moment, especially Ironsight, if any of them moved he was ready to summon his weapons and fight like how he needed.

It's been so long since Daniel last saw any of the Titans and while he was glad that there were newer faces, seeing Mina and Viran again were the two that he dreaded, and felt most uncomfortable seeing. His betrayal of the Titans when they were starting to accept him and like him most, almost killing Sinna for his vengeance against Jilocasin when he was put into a fight he couldn't win, and helping Alpha and Omega's evil schemes for such vengeance, all to never be put into justice and to get away with it all and never see a single second in 'time'. "I'm glad you managed to make new friends though, about time you both searched for a new beginning here after Mason and Sinna." Was the last thind Daniel commented on, speaking very loudly to be heard by all of the surrounding titans while referencing the new Titans and clearly not talking to Ironsight in that moment. Instead, Daniel was talking to Mina and Viran, sincerer on the comment and feeling like out of everyone in the Titans, new and old, they were the two of the main ones who had it the hardest in all of the Titans.

With that, Daniel looked back at Ironsight, wanting to make sure his 'hero' name was correct in the very begining. "Also, I do hope you know my new 'hero name' is 'Dragonbane' now, right? I'm not really all that newsworthy these days so I wouldn't be shocked if you didn't know some basic information."

"So then.....would you like to explain yourself?"

Slice looked up from his instrument in slight surprise. 'Well, that was fast. I expected to have a few more minutes at least." He said as he turned around and faced his two opponents. "Haven't run into you two before, to be fair though, if you've killed as many meta-humans and traveled to as many alternate dimensions as I have the faces kind of tend to blur together." He smiled from beneath his mask and couldn't help but think he had encountered at least one of them once. He pulled one of the heavily modified Valkorian blaster pistols from his belt and pulled his sword from his back with the other. "Tell you what, you find a way out of here and I'll make it quick."

Gotham City

Viran watched Daniel through narrowed eyes as he and the rest of the team materialized. "You have one chance to explain what you are doing here." He said quietly through tightly clenched lips as Steel and Voltage turned to look at him then at each other in surprise. Neither of them had heard Viran like this. He was angry but also...disappointed?

"Whatever happens don't interfere, for anything or anyone. Stay on the sidelines until it's all over."

Overdrive looked at Daniel and nodded before staring at this world's version of the Titans. Some of them looked...different then what she was used to. Was it possible that she might need to fight against these versions of her friends at some point?

"I'm glad you managed to make new friends though, about time you both searched for a new beginning here after Mason and Sinna."

Viran simply clenched his fists. "Explain what you are doing here...'Dragonbane' He said quietly. "This city has suffered enough and I won't let you harm it's citizens."

"I'm sure you haven't...." The taller individual spoke as he began to draw his blade slowly, the full length of the weapon fully visible to his enemy and ally. "I promise you....this will be your last stop." He spoke, solidifying his stance, making it very clear he wasn't going anywhere. The short male had also armed himself with his own blade, taking stance in front of the taller on, crouching. It would look as if the two were well adapted to fighting as one solidied unit. "Tell you what, no." The slightly shorter male spoe out in defiance, letting him know he wasn't going to do anything without going through them both. "Hescrel...." Spoke the other man in an audible tone, making it clear he was knowledgable, that pistol of his wasn't any ordinary weapon and he knew that. "...Shen." He spoke next.

Slice looked at the taller of the two with an expression that could only be bewildered surprise. "How the fu-?!" He didn't get a chance to finish the question before both the Valkorian blaster he held in his hand blew up along with the one on his belt. Slice hit the ground with a thud and looked at his mangled hand as it slowly began to heal. He narrowed his eyes at the two opponents with a newfound respect and a sense of caution. "Good news you two. You are now at the top of my "people I intend brutually murder" list. He said with a snarl as he got to his feet and pulled his energy sword from his back with his good hand. "I don't know how you knew those words but I'm going to beat the information out of you." Slice smiled a somewhat savage smile as he crouched and took a closer look at his foes. Weird...I think I might have fought a different version of the short one...but that taller one...the fighting style is unfamiliar. Should be fun. He thought as he brought the blade down in front of him in a defensive posture and charged the shorter one of the two.

The two watched as the stranger's weapons were reduced to smoldering circuitry and metal, though as they were charged, the two quickly sprung into action. The shorter male, dashed forward, closing the gap he had with Slice, his blade pointed behind him, orienting the end toward his ally as he suddenly came forward with the weapon's pommel, his intent had been to strike it into his opponent's chest. The older male soon made his movments, blade poised and ready as he moved forth, decisively attack the dimensional maniac's wounded hand, wanting to take it off at the wrist.

Slice was able to dodge the weapon's pommel with a small amount of effort but saw that he had almost fallen into a deadly snare as he quickly pulled his damaged hand away from the taller of the two and brought the sharp end of his sword up and slammed it into the shorter one's hand. Much to his surprise, the blade didn't go all the way through his hand. It looked as if some sort of armor had absorbed most of the hit. Damaged his armor a little bit. "Nice armor." He commented as he ducked under the shorter one's sword and launched a series of quick slices at the taller one. "You guys dimension jumpers as well? Or did you find that whevever the hell this place is? I might have to invest in some of whatever that armor is made of."

"Defend yourself boy!" The taller male commanded his pupil as the hit conncected, thankful to see it did no damage apparently. The taller individual seamlessly evaded the being's attacks, treating them as if they were playful swats from a cat. Though with this new discovery, the hand of the other's apprentice gripped the energy blade tightly, causing it to crackle and spark. The pupil now was between his enemy and his master, who would use the opportunity to take his direct attack, slashing at the being's leg this time, to removing it at just above his patella.

Slice stared at the smaller one grabbed his energy blade as the taller one managed to avoid his every attack and for some reason didn't electrocute himself. "What the hell are you two?" He growled. "I know I killed a few different versions of you." He said to the smaller one quietly as sparks continued to erupt from the sword. "You don't look familiar but the fighting style is...But your friend there...Very different fighting style. Something I've never seen before. Slice stared at them as his eyes widened from beneath his helmet as he felt the sword connect with his leg. He was able to pull his leg away before it cut all the way through but it still hurt like hell. "That's it!" Slice snarled. "Haven't had a challenge like you two since I killed the Defenders a few universes back but I went all out on them. You get to see what that's like!" Slice slammed his armored hand gauntlet against the smaller one's head which caused him to stagger for a moment and caused him to release his grip. Slice grinned from beneath his helmet as he turned to stare at the taller one. "You first. Then the little guy." He said in a low angry voice. The taller of the two simply stared at him from beneath his own mask as Slice shot past the shorter one and unleashed a flurry of strikes at the tall figure only to have him duck and dodge each of them with ease.

"Oh come on! You could humor me and let one hit!" Slice shouted as the taller figure easily continued avoiding everything Slice could throw at him as his opponent brought the sword down in an offensive stance. "If I had my blasters I'd have ended both of you by now! Now hold sti-." Slice heard a thud as he looked down as his energy blade and his hand hit the ground with a thud followed by a large amount of blood. Slice stared at his foe in shock. He had barely seen his enemy move. "What the hell are you?" He whispered as his opponent's blade flashed again and his entire left arm hit the ground with a thud. Slice dropped to his knees next to his severed body parts and stared up at his foe as the shorter one stood next to the taller one.

"You...You can try to kill me...but you won't be able to." Slice muttered as he started to go into shock from blood loss.

"No. Killing you isn't the goal. I only seek to open your eyes..." Slice stared up at him in disbelief as he passed out, the blood loss finally taking it's toll.

From behind the view of darkness, two figures watched the battle without speaking. The two looked at each other. "They are dangerous opponents. Should we take the chance to eliminate them?"

"No." The larger of the two said."For all we know, they could one day prove useful against the Titans. For now, they live." The two turned away from the battle and vanished into the mist. "The four horseman are our first priority. If in the end they choose to stand against us, they will die."

Gotham City

Ironsight stared at Dragonbane, his raw ability to hide the level of pain he was in was a testament to his phenominal training, though it could have been easily noticed ashe had been bleeding badly prior. The wound had slowed to a trickle, the archer had no healing factor like some heroes but his cells were working hard to clot the open area. He knew that if Dragonbane capitalized on his injury, he would be the first one to either die or be beaten down. Ironsight looked back at the Titans for a brief moment, he could barely recognize this as the team Fracture had once led so long ago. But he knew that if Dragonbane were to attack, they would be able to stop him. He seemed to have indeed gotten stronger through the years but in the face of so many heroes, victory was a goal that had been all but attainable. "You wanna go, murderer? Then let's go!" Ironsight spoke as he soon let his emotions take control of the situation, quickly readying a broadhead arrow and driving downward at Daniel's neck from an angle, aiming for his carotid artery from the side of his neck. In midst of this he turned back to look at Mina, focused on her eyes for a moment. "He's the one who killed him!" He shouted in her direction, trying to make her understand that this 'hero' was the man that ripped her truest love from her arms.

Whisper.png

Whisper slid through the walls of Shadow's Run, the stately headquarters of the Arkham Razors' leaders. S/he flitted through security that would easily stop or even kill anyone else as if it wasn't there. Attack dogs didn't know its presence, searchlights couldn't illuminate it. The only thing that would let anyone know it was there was the light footfalls of its heels clicking the ground. It was easy enough to get by the outer rings of guard detail, all so focused on their details that they couldn't notice the tap-tap-tap of someone walking the cobblestone path. Not that they could do anything if they did. S/he slid through the door of the main building. There was a guard on either side of the door, each carrying an FN PS90. If the guards could see Whisper, they'd probably use those rifles to tear it to shreds. Best to take care of them before making the big reveal...

A hand slipped into the guard to the left's chest, causing a deathly chill to grip him spread through his body. The cold was so deep and so numbing, he didn't seem to notice when the hand in his chest materialized through his heart. Or, for that matter, the person it was attached to suddenly springing into existence. A quick, hard twist of the wrist and the heart was shredded. The guard let out a last sputtering gasp of life and slumped over, now on his feet only because of the person holding him like a puppet. Of course, to murder the guard, s/he'd had to let the invisible form drop. The other guard didn't react well to seeing his friend brutally assaulted. Whisper smiled behind the mask, its body language practically begging the mook to shoot it as the lifeless lump in his grip fell to the floor.

Predictably, the guard opened fire on Whisper, the bullets seeming to tear through it with ease. S/he slowly walked closer, the bullets chipping the marble floors behind it as they slipped through with no effect. After a few seconds, the only sound was the dry click of a striker hitting an empty chamber. "Boo." S/he said, before clubbing him upside the head with the large head of their cane. He fell to the floor with a thump as more guards flooded into the room. "You can try to fire all you want," His/her raspy voice echoed off the walls, seeming to come from everywhere at once, "but for every bullet you fire, I will kill one of you. If you don't want a friend's death on your hands, holster your weapons." Most complied, wary of the being in front of them. One idiot, however, decided to try and be a hero. He squeezed his trigger, the Glock spitting out two rounds that passed harmlessly through Whisper's face. "Fool. Their fate is on you." Whisper stated, before shimmering out of existence. S/he reappeared moments later, hands plunged deep into the skulls of men on either side of the shooter. A gentle wiggling of his/her fingers in their grey matter, and both collapsed to the ground, a drooling slab of incoherent meat. "Do I have your attention? Good. Show me to your boss."

Whisper sat languidly in an ornate chair, admiring his new office and his new home. After the display s/he'd put on with the henchmen, as well as the sudden death of the former head of the gang, the Arkham Razors had been shaken to their core. The call had gone out, and every member in the city had converged on Shadow's Run. Once they'd been gathered, every member was given a simple choice: pledge their loyalty and their lives to this demon in front of them, or leave the city. Anyone who stayed would lose their protection and become a target, not just for the rival gangs in the area but their former brothers and sisters as well. Needless to say, not a single person opted to leave the Razors. It's unclear how many were swayed by Whisper's promises of untold power and a golden age of organized crime, and how many simply were terrified of dissenting.

Either way, he now had control of one of the most brutal gangs in the city. He'd opted to usurp the throne of the Razors because they were known to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies with their brutal tactics. The name had sprung from the original founder's habit of carving up any rival gang member he found with a pearl handled straight razor. Much like Whisper themself, his methods had been simple, cruel, and awe-inspiring. Now, it was time to bring them back to their history, and strike a new wave of fear in the heart of Gotham. Doing so would take time, resources, and support, however. Something that his lieutenants would be responsible for acquiring. "Report." he barked, as the four men came into his office. Each one wore a mask identical to his own, save for the fact that theirs were real.

"Boss, Mickey Moon-Eyes has refused to acknowledge our request for an alliance. He claims to know nothing of you, and believes we're trying to coerce The Dusters into giving up their territory." The first lieutenant answered, standing straighter as he recited the news. He was scared of the reaction that could be coming his way.

"Sir," his/her second lieutenant piped up, "The East Street Boys have agreed to your terms. They've opted for a full partnership with the Razors in return for our protection. With them at our disposal, we have about nine dozen new recruits. We could send a few of them around Mickey's way to make him see reason." he offered.

"Not yet. If we send them there now, Mickey gets vindicated, and we lose our pawns. Give them the description of the man I'm looking for and tell them to turn this city upside down searching for him."

"Understood." The second lieutenant bowed before backing out.

"You two, have your teams made contact with Calderone and Catton?"

"Sir, the High Roller Crew is willing to give us a 40% cut of the profits from the sex trade as long as we keep some of our men near their girls. We shall see our first payment by Monday."

"And Catton's Hoodies have offered their support, so long as we look the other way when their dealers our in our territory. I've taken the liberty of assigning them to guard Mr. Calderone's girls, so that our men are not at risk."

"Good. You're dismissed. Number One, gather any information you can on The Dusters. They will show me respect, or they will pay." Whisper's words gave a sense of ease to the lieutenant. He wouldn't die today.

"Sir."

Left alone once more, Whisper leaned back in its chair, letting itself relax. "I will find you, brother." s/he muttered to themself. "You cannot hide from me forever..."
