The sun barely rose above the horizon, Japan's summer heat slightly noticeable as Sumire walked down the sidewalk approaching the location of where JRA was supposed to be held at. After a brief check of her phone revealed that it was only 7 AM, she yawned and tried to blink the sleep out of her eyes. On days like this, she would have been smiling and enjoying the beautiful day casting over her home town, usually taking this time to spend it with her friends and family. But, the world had different plans for her.
Summer vacation had just begun for many teenagers and children within the location, all except for her and some select individuals that had received the same fate as her. She, as well as the other delinquents who have been tried, were going to an alternative school known as the "Juvenile Rehabilitation Academy," or "JRA" for short. This alternative school had been an idea proposed by the top Heroes of the world, who believed that the young and impressionable were not lost causes. They helped make this academy a reality in the hopes that delinquents going down the wrong path would be rehabilitated by being shown the errors of their ways through kindness, compassion, understanding, and some discipline. From what Sumire had gathered, there have been far more successes than failures.
JRA was going to take all of her summer vacation as well as 3 months of her regular high school education since her sentence demanded 4 months, which gave her some questions. Would JRA be following a similar lesson plan to the normal high schools? Would their work transfer over or would they have to repeat their assignments when they "graduated" from JRA? It would be far too much for Sumire and her classmates to catch up on if they were forced to repeat... Surely the staff wouldn't be that cruel to them, right?
She arrived at the gates of a surprisingly large building with a few other delinquents here and there going to their own classes, many of them expressing distaste that they were missing valuable vacation time for this.
'Most of these people look like they do petty crimes as hobbies... Violet's so out of place here.' Orange Sumire had spoken up within Sumire's mind, commenting regarding the more "wild" looking individuals around the school's courtyard.
'So what, Orange? Disattachment to these dogs is anything but an insult! Violet looks as she is meant to portray; Charming, sophisticated, and way out of everyone else's leagues.' Blue Sumire answered; Sumire can imagine the hair flip her clone would have done.
'"Charming and sophisticated" makes her ass just ripe enough to kick, Blue. You can talk like a four-eyed wiener all you want but you'll be speaking a whole other language to them. You wouldn't go talking French in Mexico would ya?' Orange Sumire answered back as Sumire herself entered the building and started walking down the hallways, ready to tune out her clones in case they started arguing.
'You two are quick to judge aren't you? Violet's here for a tiny misdemeanor is all; why wouldn't anyone else be here for that reason too? I doubt everyone here is a "monster."'
'Besides, there's no telling what could happen! Maybe this will be the place where Violet finally meets someone~ A tall, handsome, Prince Charming? Maybe a delinquent with a heart of gold~? Or perhaps a little bookworm that Blue approves of? Hmmm~?'
'You would sooner have me speaking like an uneducated ne'er do well before I will even consider someone from this academy as a suitable love interest for Violet-'
Sumire tuned out her clones as she approached the classroom, seeing a pink haired woman sitting in the teacher's chair. The woman was dressed in her Pro Hero costume, one Sumire instantly recognized due to her immense popularity.
'Oh my God, it's Encore!' Sumire inwardly screamed, feeling a wrack of nerves wave through her body upon realizing she was in the presence of a mega-celebrity.
Encore had her feet up on the table, distracted by the little handheld console as she tapped away at the game she was playing. She barely seemed to acknowledge Sumire; just going for her chocolate bonbons every once in a while as she played.
"U-Um, hello?" Sumire spoke up, but the teacher didn't even look at her. However, she did answer.
"Sorry sweetheart. This songbird isn't singing until the entire audience is here. Saves me from explaining myself more than once. Go ahead and take a seat; class'll start once your new friends arrive." The woman said to her, smiling at her game as she tapped the buttons faster; most likely an intense event happening.
Sumire simply nodded, unable to find her words. She went to the first chair she saw, deciding to sit at the front while she tried to calm herself down.
