Aichi gave Kei some props telling him a flip would be something to add to his trick list next time, he flashed him a quick thumbs up and continued to catch his breath. Kei finally caught his breath as he felt Takumi's touch on his shoulder. Suddenly he felt odd, as if he was about to sneeze but nothing ever came instead he felt his power disappear and he dropped to the floor. he looked at Takumi and tried to activate his Quirk again only for it to not respond. "no way?" he said both impressed and somewhat stunned. Takumi chose not to show off but passed the attention to another, Reese popped up and displayed her Quirk a sonic type. Kei covered his ears at her request and watched as he saw the sound waves move the air molecules, it was so intense he could feel the pain even though he was behind her and covering his ears. "damn, that's intense." he said to no one in particular.

Next it was Aichi's turn, he was able to change his density he chose to show them by climbing the air. Kei looked on in amazement, "that's awesome." he said out loud. "I wish my quirk let me go that high, imagine the jumps." he said to himself. Sumire was up and produced 6 different colored clones, Kei watched as they all introduced themselves. He wanted to challenge yellow to a speed showdown but could tell now wasn't a good time. other than that he was amazed that the red one was hitting on Aichi and Takumi. "holy shit. The Red one's intense." he laughed. "that's awesome. Cool power Sumire." he said observing from the back.

NIghtmarist suddenly popped back out from inside and looked like he was concerned. He spoke to Encore and made it seem top secret since he whispered it in her ear. Then just as quickly as he showed up he was gone. "What was that about Encore?" he asked as he rose off the ground using his hover board quirk.

Massaging the side of his head, Encore said something about feeling the wrath of mini-her, though Takumi was more concerned with the ringing in his ears. He was right next to the source, after all.

The next person to show off their quirk was one of the girls, Sumire. After a short delay, she seemed to multiply, all with a different color scheme and varying personalities. The blue one was first to speak up, introducing herself as—blue. Deadpanning, it was a mixture of the girl's personality, vocabulary, and naming sense that earned the expression.

"Ne'er do wells... Tha' hell..." Takumi murmured as he watched the introduction.

It appeared as though their names were all created on the same basis. Sky was next and was even more timid than Reese was. While the latter almost exploded from holding her hand, it looked like this clone would do so just from a few gazes. Watching her burrow into her clothes to hide, Takumi only became even more confused. Blue's introduction was far too—wordy, and then Sky's wasn't really an introduction...

Next was the green one, who showed confidence and thankfully talked in a way that was easy to understand. Stating that her skin was like hitting a wall, it really seemed like all the clones had some manner of different quirk. Takumi was almost irked at how unfair that was. Though at the invitation to attempt, the boy let out a shrug and took a step forward before the blue one halted him.

She as well explained the timid one's quirk which was—luck. Takumi wasn't sure how that worked, but he supposed that was part of the point. Yellow followed her and zipped around to show her ability. She was the most energetic of the group, appearing as if on a constant sugar high.

Orange was seemingly the most relaxed and could breathe out toxins of some kind. While calm, she kept her spiel short and handed the scarf the hyper one took to Red who strutted over and hooked it around Aichi's neck before beginning her speech.

"...Huh...?"

Passed the part about her power, Takumi didn't quite understand where she was going afterwards. That was, until she specifically told them both where she was going with it. The delinquent thought that maybe she was the energetic one after all.

"Eh?" Gaining a red face and a confused expression, Takumi didn't start floating like Aichi had, however he did react in his own way.

While normally one to be dense and not taking note of such things, the girl's words spurned his attention to particular places. Instinctively, his eyes shot to various parts of the girl, as if suddenly noticing that she was, in fact, an attractive member of the opposite sex. This in turn spurned thoughts towards the cause of Reese's screaming. Staring forward, something had clicked, or a multiple somethings.

Takumi responded differently than Aichi, but just as odd, and covered his ears with his palms once again, except this time he had his fingers stretch forward to cover his eyes. It was as if he was attempting to play it off like his ears simply hurt while also shielding his vision, but the result was all too obvious and likely very ridiculous-looking.

Thankfully, another distraction appeared in the form of Nightmist who whispered something and then ran off in a hurry. Removing his hands from his head, Takumi's expression returned to that of his normal scowl. Whatever it was, it seemed urgent, but once more Takumi was distracted by a floating Aichi muttering and cackling aloud, as well by Kei's apparent amusement by the whole thing.

"...Is he gonna be good or do I need to drop him?" Takumi questioned, holding up an open palm with a deadpan expression. While he only meant to shock him out of it by nullifying his quirk for a moment, his choice of phrasing might could get him in trouble.

Reese was still shaking off the embarrassment of her little outburst while the others displayed their quirks, but still managed to watch the display.
But was taken off guard by the one thing she could not have prepared for, something she had never even imagined never mind received... Praise.
She was stunned, the shock clear on her face, all she had done was scream, freak out and scream some more, still though, it made her feel kind of warm inside, and a smile lit up her face even as she suddenly became very interested in the ground.

She ignored the guy floating around and suppressed an urge to see if her screams could send him flying.
However Sumire's quirk got her attention! Splitting into seven powered clones? That was insanely cool, Red especially grabbed attention! Reese was torn between jealousy of her confidence and body... And of the boys who got her attention!

The dark-haired girl watched silently at the workings of the group, trying to find where she fit in. Everyone was so different and nobody seemed to stick with one specific group, which troubled her. Kozue didn't know where to go or who to talk to and she could feel the impending panic claw up her throat as the others laughed and joked with each other.

Her swirling black hole of a mind came to an abrupt halt at the appearance of Nightmist, who ignored the students and approached Encore, whispering something into her ear before departing again. Cocking her head to the side, Kozue hummed thoughtfully and wondered what had happened. Some of the other students voiced her thoughts so the raven-headed girl kept quiet about her curiosity, waiting to see what their teacher had to say about the strange appearance and disappearance of Nightmist.

Encore had been watching the Sumires and listened to each of their introductions. It was such a unique quirk! Everyone had so much uniqueness to them that she couldn't help but squeal in excitement on the inside~ She wondered what kind of combination attacks her students could do in they ever teamed up against bad guys. Maybe that could be in one of their lessons!

Her smile stayed even as Nightmist approached her, listening to his words and her only response being a nod of the head. She let him go without another word, though a hundred questions were running through her mind; the main one being "what happened at JRA East?"

Still, she kept smiling at the students. Kei asked his question and so she decided to answer.

"Classified hero stuff! I'd tell you, but you're not on the path to Heroism~ Takumi, no dropping your classmates! But if Aichi is reaching the danger zone of floating away, then I'll allow it just this once." As she spoke, Encore went to one of the boxes she had and fished out some mechanical bracelets. She would hold onto these for after the final quirk user finished. "Okay! Kozue, let's see your quirk! Sumires, can you please become one again since purple Sumi doesn't have to show off anymore?"

The Sumires all nodded at that. Red Sumire couldn't do much to Aichi since he was floating away, but that didn't stop her from doing something to Takumi and the other boy~

As Red walked by him, she kissed pads of her index and middle finger then gently planted it onto Takumi's lips, "My offer still stands~"

She would then approach Kei, "It extends to you too, cutie. Three partners at once really drives me wild~"

Before she could say anything else, Orange had come up from behind her and grabbed the back of her shirt, literally dragging her away from Kei, "Now, Red."

"Heehee~ Think of me during your next "alone" time, okay?" Red spoke to the boys as she was pulled away. She waved goodbye to her classmates before all of the clones gathered by Sumire, who'd still been passed out on the floor. They each phased back into their default form, and once all the clones had become one, Sumire opened her eyes and stood back up as consciousness slowly returned to her. It took a second for the memories to settle, and when they did, her eyes widened and her face flushed.

She looked to Takumi, Aichi, and Kei, a pleading look on her face as a blush spread from ear to ear, "OH GOD! P-Please forget what you heard! I'm so sorry about her! She's so embarrassing!"

Such a wide variety of quirks. Sumire's was certainly something different. So many forms with so much potential, but Red Sumire seemed to be a bit of a wild card. Certainly something to tease the girl about. Nothing about the girl had seemed so brazen in her introduction. "Didn't know you had it in you, Sumire!" Kana offered with a cheeky grin once the girl regained consciousness, "Don't bother apologizing! I'm sure the boys like having the attention of a pretty girl."

Overall, she couldn't help but admire the skill that many of her classmate had developed, but that admiration was paired, probably unfairly, with a certain amount of budding irritation. Didn't they see this whole quirk and hero thing was just popularized bullshit? Maybe in a different universe, Kana would be stoked to develop her quirk- she'd be proud to have one to show off and have her eyes dead set on becoming a hero. She would have spent hours thinking about the academy and dreaming of all the people she could have saved. However, this Kana was not that Kana. Heroes don't actually help altruistically- they strategically choose their involvement for publicity. They were hardly something worth praise. The pheromone user thought on her classmates and their motivations. Were they potential heroes in training? Could people who committed crimes, no matter how minor an infraction, have their redemption? Sumire- in at least her whole? form, seemed nice enough. As had Kozue and most others. Perhaps they had potential. It was too soon to tell, and people always were multifaceted. Reese was one of those people she couldn't quite get a read on yet.

Even their teachers, as nice as they had seemed to be, had their secrets. Nightmist's departure did not appear to be planned, and Kana was torn on whether to investigate this further. One one hand, the girl hoped to fly under the radar. In and out as smoothly as possible. However, the darker part of her was itching to find out why. She could press Encore, surely, but Kana wasn't the teacher wasn't so empty-headed to explain to a lowly criminal.Yet, this was a school. A criminal school was still just a school. Information was bound to spread, and Kana, she decided, would find out what happened and use it to her advantage.

Watching the purple-haired girl, Sumire, phase with all of her colors back into one person Kozue knew she would be next. Casting her eyes on the group of individuals gathered, she began to think of who she would use her Quirk on. She didn't care for it to be flashy or threatening, instead just wanting to get this show of Quirks over with.

Glancing quickly at Encore, Kozue focused on Takumi and looked into his eyes, her Quirk activating without the slightest hint that it was doing so. She held eye contact with him for several seconds before looking away, rubbing her arms and shrugging. She felt immensely insecure surrounded by these people whom she couldn't get a good judge of their character from. Her friends from before she had gotten caught had all been easy to act around, but these people... they made Kozue uneasy.

"That's my Quirk. What are the bracelets for?"

Narrowing his eyes at Encore's reply, he glanced at Aichi again. He was just spinning around slowly, not flying off. So for now, he would be allowed to continue. However, while momentarily Takumi had regained his composure, the red mirage took care of that, approaching him in specific this time.

Taken aback by the sudden contact, Takumi just kind of stood there with pursed lips and eyes widened. The more the girl spoke the redder his face grew. Once again, he just froze in place as Red was dragged away, however this time he didn't even try to hide himself. He was just stunned in place. It seemed as though his weakness was blatantly apparent. While dense, he didn't deal well with certain things once he understood what they were.

The clones all merged back into one, incredibly flustered Sumire. She panicked and apologized, though in his frozen state, Takumi wasn't really paying attention to the words coming out of her mouth.

After her, it was Kozue who took a turn and focused on him, gazing intently. Under normal circumstances, Takumi might not have even noticed her staring, but following a certain someone's advances, he zoned right in on it. However, opening his mouth utter his confusion, Takumi found his voice caught and his body stiff, though not for the same reason as before. He physically could not move his body as he met Kozue's gaze. Though thankfully the paralysis broke with eye contact.

"Aaah! The hell!?" Takumi complained, visibly cringing. "Fuck that feels weird!"

Moving his arms and rotating his shoulders, Takumi began eyeing the girls of the group warily. They were dangerous, for a number of reasons.

Kei was floating using his "hoverboard" quirk when Encore replied to him, firstly he didn't think it would happen and second of all why would he leave when it was obvious there were only 3 heros watching this bunch of kids. Kei shook it off as he returned to the ground just as Encore asked Sumire to get herself back together, just as Kei was ready to watch the other person show off their quirk he was assaulted by Red. "Woah" he said out loud as she got to close to him. He was taken aback when when she mentioned 3 partners at once, it made him red in the cheeks to think about it. "um, na i'm a not much of a sharer." he said joking around just as Orange pulled her away. "maybe next time he yelled out as they all got pulled into Sumire. Kei couldn't help but laugh as Sumire begged them to forget about everything Red said. "sorry Sumire, there's no way i'm going to forget about that. That's the highlight of my childhood." He said half chuckling.

Just as they turned their attention to watch another demonstration the target was Takumi and it looked like it was able to work without much flair or anything. Actually just looking at them he couldn't really tell what was going on. "um, so are you gonna do something?" When Takumi finally spoke he realized what happened, She was able to paralyze him with just a glance. "woah, nevermind. Got it." He said backing away from her stare hiding behind Sumire.

Encore stifled back her giggle seeing the boys react to Red. She'd take this more seriously if the boys seemed genuinely uncomfortable, but by the looks of them, two of them seemed like they were going to take her offer. Encore would certainly pull those three to the side to make sure they were okay with Red's behavior or not. "Sumire, you need to control that red one. She's gonna find a one way trip to the counselor if she keeps harassing the boys." She then looked to Kozue to answer her question, "You'll find out in just a second~"

Sumire's red face had turned a tad bit redder after hearing Kei say that he couldn't forget what he heard. The embarrassment of the situation couldn't be contained. "I'm really sorry!"

The Pro Hero then watched as Kozue's quirk was at work, smiling and waiting though couldn't exactly pinpoint it until she realized that the staring contest was actually part of Kozue's quirk. Takumi was stiff and didn't make any comment regarding the staring, so Encore made the conclusion that Kozue's quirk was a paralyzing quirk.

Takumi suddenly moving and freaking out about it proved her right.

"Nice quirk! That would work great on getting a criminal arrested!" Encore complimented. Honestly, she wished she had a paralyzer quirk back in the day. It would have made taking down baddies so much easier! "Okay! Last but not least! Let's see your quirk!" She said, pointing to Ito.

Ito Kana

Sighing, Kana mentally prepared herself, but did her best to remained outwardly unbothered. "Sumire, do you mind?" She gestured for the multigirl to step forward- away to keep everyone else out of the area of effect. The pheromone quirk user really didn't want to do this, but nevertheless, she would do as asked. Kana stepped until she was a few metres away from Sumire before activating her quirk. Every time, Kana was surprised by the stuttering of her own heart. Cartilage slipped off the vessel, forming it's own container to filled with a specific pheromone. She gasped breathlessly as the flexible heart fused out of her chest and into her right hand.

Kana rolls the heart in her palm- not just yet puncturing the thin container. OV- a combination of the hormones oxytocin and vasopressin in gaseous form. After Red Sumire causing mischief and hearing what Encore said to Sumire, she wasn't about to bring out anything lustful. Poor girl would die of embarrassment. This should only make her feel affectionate and loving towards everyone. No harm no foul. Taking the sharp edge of her nail on her index finger, Kana curled and puncture the heart. Slightly pink tinted gas began escaping from the whole. She tossed it by Sumire's feet and waited for the effect. "You'll probably feel slightly different now, but don't worry. It will wear off fairly quickly with little residual effects." This heart was smaller than normal. No need to give her a heart attack for a demonstration.

"Eh, me? Sure!"

Sumire, upon request, moved over and followed her instructions. She didn't mind being the test dummy; it would take their thoughts away from her embarrassment for at least a minute of their time...

She watched as Kana rolled what looked like a heart in her hand, watching the other curiously and intrigued by the uniqueness of such a quirk. Honestly, Sumire had never seen anything like it. At the casino, she'd seen things like weak telekinesis, or slight fires (just enough to light cigarettes), and some other useless little things that would only work for very specific circumstances. However, Kana's quirk was so different from what Sumire considered common. Was the heart a real heart or just heart shapes? The heart looked like it was filling with something, right? Was it filling with something? Was it for show or could Kana use that heart to replace someone else's? Sumire was just so curious!

Then, Kana punctured the heart and a pink-tinted gas started shooting from it. The heart was tossed at her feet and Sumire was a bit confused at first. Was it supposed to work like a smoke bomb? Or tear gas? She breathed some of it in, wondering if it was supposed to be like a perfume or something...

But then, the quirk hit and hit her hard.

Her eyes fell on the first person they saw, and Sumire happily went up to Reese and wrapped her up in a tight, pillowy breasted hug.

"Oh, you're all just so wonderful! I wish this moment could last forever so I'd never have to leave any of you~" She rocked Reese in her hug just a bit, Sumire refusing to let go of the smaller girl just yet. She just felt so... happy, and wanted to show everyone just how much they meant to her. Aichi, Kei, Takumi, Kozue- everyone deserved a nice, big hug!

Encore giggled, watching as Sumire hugged Reese as if she were a teddy bear. if she had a camera, she definitely would have taken a picture. These kids were just too adorable for their own good~

"While Sumire gets the lovies out of her system, I'm gonna come around and put these on you." Encore showed one of the bracelets to everyone. It resembled a digital watch with a small screen and buttons; even on the front, it showed the time. It was dark gray in color and the wristbands seemed to have automated adjuster with a small tongue and buckle to prevent any tampering or lockpicking. On the buckle was an area for a scanner; most likely for an eye. The bracelets themselves looked to be made of some kind of substance, making the device lightweight but difficult to break. "Now, let me explain what these are so you won't think I'm trying to kill you.

This is the "Student Tracker and Regulator" wristband, or "Starbands," as I like to call them! These little doohickeys are made to track your whereabouts and nullify your quirk, so you don't try to leave the country or get into any trouble. Think of them as like those things people wear for house arrest. You're required to wear them until one of your overseers, that's me or Nightmist, gives their recommendation or until you've completed the JRA program with passing marks. This is part of the reason why I had you guys come out here to show off your quirks; because you won't get the opportunity to until you graduate!"

Encore pressed a few buttons on the first and the device activated. She walked up to Kana, since she was closest, then instructed her to put up her wrist.

"Just a warning; Failure to comply means I'm legally obligated to treat you like a villain until you do what is asked of you." She said with a smile, slapping on the bracelet and buckling it on. The device's wristbands automatically tightened so that it was comfortably snug around Kana's wrist to prevent slippage.

She would do the same with the rest of the students, having a slightly more difficult time with Sumire since she was hellbent on giving Reese a lovely hug. Regardless, Encore managed to get the active devices on everyone. She would take a minute to explain to everyone what they could and couldn't do with the devices, such as they were waterproof and were not easily broken.

"Okay! Now that that's out of the way, I've got one more thing to do."

Encore reached into the box again, this time pulling out what looked like school uniforms. A dark gray button up shirt, black ties, white pants and white skirt options were within each package.

"The first step to discipline is taking away some freedoms. One of those freedoms is dressing how you want! Tomorrow morning, you're to come here wearing these uniforms clean, ironed, and properly! Failure to comply means I kick you out of my classroom and you can explain to the court why you missed the day. But don't worry, I'll help you out if your uniform has a few mistakes. Unless you show up to class wearing something completely different, I won't report it." She assured them, "Take the packages that have your name on it. These are tailored to the measurements of the prison outfits you all wore in the clink, so I know they'll fit."

Encore seriously needed to get in contact with the main Academy to hear what happened regarding JRA East. She was incredibly concerned as to what might have happened, since the only time JRA was really attacked was when egotistical lowly villains were trying to recruit, what they think are, gullible teenagers.

"Since the show's over now, I'll take you all back inside and you'll have a look at the JRA packet. It'll contain everything expected of all of you; no more, no less." She told each of them, her chipper demeanor slightly faltering to a more serious attitude as she tried to think of a reason someone would try to get to JRA East. She needed more information, from someone.

~~~
Once inside, Encore had the students sit in a group and handed out a 200-page thick packet for each of them to read and discuss, "I'm going to step outside for a moment. Don't try anything funny cause you'll be laughing with the judge if you do~" She told the group with a kind smile before closing the door behind her.
Encore pressed a few buttons on her wrist's gauntlet, opening up a digital menu regarding the Starbands. As she watched to make sure the students weren't trying anything, Encore took out her phone and walked a bit away from the door, calling the main JRA district to try and get some information regarding the attack.
Reese continued to be amazed by other people's quirks, the paralysis had incredibly obvious uses, but simplicity could be extremely powerful in some cases.
And the heart full of pheromones, well it was incredibly creepy, and made her feel a bit queasy, though she could respect it's power... However any further thoughts were interrupted by the sudden hug! It may have been an incredible double standard but she didn't scream, actually it was incredibly calming, and she had to fight to resist trying to hug her back, though it was incredibly difficult mostly due to her not remembering her last proper hug.
As such she was too busy to hear what the bands did, but just assumed they were ID or something... Either way everyone had them so saying no likely wouldn't work.
When she was finally released from her admittedly comfortable role as makeshift teddy bear Reese went up and grabbed her uniform, she definitely wasn't gonna complain, it was leagues better than her old clothes or the prison outfits, and she was already considering sewing in some extra padding, assuming she was allowed sewing equipment and material anyway.
The thick packet they were given once inside earned a loud groan, she didn't mind reading but seriously who did they expect to actually read all of it never mind memorise.
Besides, she had a better idea, Reese had hidden her curiosity but it was burning within her, and the teacher's phone call seemed a good chance to gather information.
Without waiting to see what anyone else was doing, she got up, intending to go to the door and listen in.
The final person to show off her quirk was Kana, and thankfully Takumi wasn't the recipient of this showcase. Namely it made Sumire go from flustered and embarrassed to bubbly and huggy, particularly targeting Reese with her glomp. Though unlike him, she didn't receive an earsplitting shriek in retaliation.
As Sumire was doing that, Encore came around and equipped them with some wristbands made to track them and nullify their quirks. Bringing it to eye level as if checking the time on a wrist watch, Takumi couldn't help but think short of the tracking application, the nullification was rather redundant.
After that came arguably the worst of her gifts; the uniforms. Takumi wasn't a fan of the damn things, not that he put much thought into what he wore normally. It was mainly the tie that he detested. Who in their right mind thought putting a cloth noose around their neck made them look professional was insane. Either way, Takumi took the package with a grumpy look to his face. At least by the sound of it, Encore wouldn't push them to have the thing strangling them. Though she couldn't speak for the other teachers.
As they returned indoors and Encore left them all with a rather heft packet, Takumi sat down, took one look at the thing, flipped over the cover page to glance at the second, then let it drop with a deadpanned expression.
"Yeah... That's a fuck no..." He said with a sigh, already likely forgetting that they could, and were, being surveyed.
Staring ahead, Takumi let his face collapse onto the desk. A grueling physical training session from the ponytail guy, Takumi could handle, but not getting almost molested, or screamed at, and whatever else was going on. He worked better with more straightforward things, and thus far, this prison school had thrown more things that soared far above his head than what he had expected.
Repositioning his head, Takumi now had it propped up with his chin laying on the desk. Looking forward, he spotted Reese trying to eavesdrop on the door. He debated not speaking at risk of another scream, but this was Takumi.
"Huh... So you can be sneaky, Bwuh..."
The last quirk was shown off, turning Sumire into a bit of a hugger. Kei watched and thought it was a useful ability that had a crazy high potential for evil. He looked at the girl and wondered what was the reason she got locked up? Was it an accident or was it on purpose? Kei decided it wasnt worth thinking about, she seemed like a nice girl and didnt want to judge his classmate.
Encore brought out some gear and issued them out to the students. New uniforms and quirk dampeners. "Tsk" was all kei said as he was issued his. Wraring these things were like clipping a birds wings. It was something he didnt want to do but did anyway to avoid any negative repercussions. He put on the uniform and the cuffs and sat back in his chair, he looked at the thick book laid infront of him and sighed. "Oh, well." He said leaning his head on his arm. "Lets just get this over with" he said as he flipped through the pages.
JRA Headquarters
The phone at the main desk was ringing suddenly, and quite loudly, as it were. Sitting at the desk was a young woman, filing her nails as she glanced over at the phone with a bored expression, one that was quickly overtaken by annoyance. How dare someone call the office while she was on her break? Her eyes rolled back into her skull as if they were trying to escape before her gaze was suddenly moved over to the front door as the bell rang. In walked a tall and handsome man that most would immediately recognize as the hero Command. His face was adorned with the same confident smile it usually was, his bright blue eyes immediately noting her and the ringing telephone in front of her. It took merely a moment for him to approach the desk, placing his hands idly on top of the counter. The woman was staring at him, nearly slack jawed as she lowered her file and smiled at him broadly. The phone continued to ring, and the woman simply continued staring at him as though in a trance. Command looked at her coyly, raising a brow before gesturing to the phone.
"Should I get that?"
The woman was surprised, glancing down at the phone just barely long enough to register what he was saying.
"Oh. Oh, no! No, way, Command Sir! I mean, I should, but, I'm on break, you see…"
Her voice trailed off as she giggled nervously, Command's brow remaining in the same position while his smile shifted into more of a smirk. With a simple shrug, he reached over and grabbed the phone, bringing it up to his ear.
"Hello? JRA Headquarters, AKA future public parking lot A, who may I ask is calling?"
Encore rose an eyebrow at the greeting she heard. "Future public parking lot A???," Uh, no! "Um, excuse you but so long as there's JRAs standing they won't be parking lots." She hmphed, "Anyway, it's Pro Hero Encore, one of the overseers at JRA North. Who am I talking to right now?"
She didn't know how, but she had a feeling in the pit of her gut that this was Command she was talking to.
The man's medium pitched voice echoed with a chuckle at the woman's response.
"Hey, now, relax, it's a joke. You know how to take a joke, right, Miss Encore? You must, considering you chose to actively accept the position for this joke of a program. And don't jest, you know who I am."
Command's voice was playful, and his tone jovial, but his lack of caring for the program was beyond evident, and his usual charm lacking. It wasn't that he had anything against Encore, but, he knew full well that getting under her skin was something that he always enjoyed doing. Then again, when you can't bed a beautiful woman, why bother being polite with her? The random thought prompted another chuckle before he continued.
"Anyway, i'm gathering that you're calling about the mess going on at the eastern facility. We don't know much yet, just that some conflict is going on in the facility. We have some info, but, not much. What did you wanna know? If I asked nicely, would you do something for me in return? Ah, I got it. Maybe sing your request? Hmm?"
Encore felt her patience being tested just a bit, but it didn't bother her too much. She dealt with scummy managers and record producers all the time; it's the main reason why she went solo. Command was the equivalent of a guppy compared to the sharks she's had to fight her entire career. Still though, he knew just the right words to make her feel a bit heated. Not like Metal Prick, but just enough to make her want to give him a forehead kick.
"Yeah well, I want some detailed info on the Eastern facility and who I can talk to to get it. Nightmist and I got the call and he was out before I had a chance to ask. We've all got students here to protect and I seriously need to know who's responsible, what level those kids are, and if the hosting city should take precautions." She told him.
Encore then took a breath,
"Any information you have right now will do, no matter how little. I just want to make sure everything is safe and secure."
Command's fingers rapped against the counter idly as he listened to the woman speak. The young lady behind the counter was still watching him, though she had gone back to haphazardly using her nail file. The man turned, leaning back against the counter as he held the receiver to his ear, taking a slow breath before responding.
"Alright, alright. Stay calm, now. We know that two individuals managed to sneak into the facility. We don't know why, only that they definitely made contact with members within the facility. It didn't take long for the instructors there to figure out something was amiss, but, before things were seemingly under control, a small group of the prisoners escaped. They were all particularly unruly specimens that expressed little interest in following the rules of the facility."
Command's voice had evened out, taking on a more serious tone. It was apparent that even though his usual facade of humor and deprecation, he was capable of taking things seriously when it called for it. Not that he didn't have a preference for the alternative.
"I can send you the names of the escaped prisoners after we are done here, but, can't do much more than that, i'm afraid."
Honestly, she was nervous. If it was just a couple of low leveled students things would have cleared up by now. But, an escape? There hasn't been an escape in all of JRA's history… Why would these kids want to escape when the facility was made specifically to benefit them? To give them a second chance?
Did they have nothing to lose?
But, that was nonsense! They were teenagers! They had so much ahead of them; once they were captured, they were definitely going to prison!
God, she wanted to slap each and every single one of those kids for being so stupid! All they had to do was stay put and pass their classes! But, she also knew that there had to be something else going on that would warrant the escape in the first place. A villain recruitment perhaps? She had to be wary of the intelligence and power behind those two individuals. If they were capable of this, who else knew what they could do?
Wait, they made contact with members within the facility???
"Who did they make contact with? Are the students okay? The staff? Wait, wait, sorry. Not enough info, right." She took a breath to calm herself down. "Yeah, please send me their names. I'll look them up for myself and see what we're up against. Can you send names of the staff too, so I can get in contact with them?"
Honestly, she wouldn't rest easy without knowing if the students and staff at JRA East was okay.
Command nodded briefly, as though she could see him. His eyes were scanning the room incessantly, an obvious indication of boredom, and an inability to focus on only a singular task. His hand rose up to examine his watch, noting that he would need to get back to work soon. There was a particularly nagging issue eating at him these past few weeks.
"The intruders spoke with some of the prisoners, but shortly after confronted the staff. Curiously, their interaction was almost entirely non-violent. They didn't attack, simply demanded that the prisoners be freed because what the program was doing to them and others like them was, as they put it, "cruel and indecent." What that means in regards to their plan, I can't say. And speaking of escaped prisoners, there is a person in town there that you need to watch out for. She's escaped from a secure facility and is considered highly dangerous. We have very little info on her, but, be on the lookout for a young woman. Distinguishing marks or characteristics are white hair and a significant numbers of scars on various parts of her body."
Command's voice tightened as he spoke this time around. It was evident that the situation was bothering him, and that he was racking his brain trying to understand it. Sure, he agreed about the program, but, what they chose to do made no sense. Villains rarely did such things, especially since they were almost immediately arrested. It would have made sense to flee with the prisoners, instead, they allowed themselves to be caught. Most peculiar indeed.
"Oh, and I can send those names to you in a few, no problem. But, there was just one more thing. I had forgotten that you were assigned the same project as Nightmist, the poster boy for the program. I understand you two are good friends and spend a lot of time together at work. You know, I saw his wife today. I was on her show, you should watch the archive. Anyway...I was wondering if maybe I should tell her about just how close you and her husband are. Do you think she would appreciate hearing of it? Or, maybe any extra-curricular activities you two professional instructors engage in?"
The playful edge had returned to his voice, a certain darkness creeping into it towards the end. Like an obvious threat to warn her of his knowledge, connections, and what kind of person he was capable of being.
Okay, non-violent attack is fine but… Cruel and indecent? What are they talking about?
""Cruel and indecent?" It's a school environment with classes and starbands. What do they mean "cruel and indecent?""
Encore was asking this more to herself than anything. She had so many more questions to ask, like what those children were capable of and who this young woman Command mentioned was. If she was as dangerous as he said, then she was a threat that needed to be taken down immediately. Shouldn't all of the Pro Heroes know of her so that they could engage her accordingly?
Well, as far as she knew, this was classified information. Until she got the go ahead, she wouldn't share anything no matter how much she wanted to.
At the next thing Command said, Encore couldn't help the smile that crawled on her face. Her pupils narrowed, giving her face an almost darkened look to it. What he was saying almost sounded like blackmail material; weak material, but she couldn't help but getting flashbacks back to the scumbag that tried to accuse her of sexually molesting his child.
Thank you body cameras!
"Hey, that's pretty good~ I'd be pretty pissed off about this if she didn't already know! If you really want to get under someone's skin, ya gotta get the really juicy stuff; like they're cheating on their SO or they're committing fraud! Or my favorite, when I turned the tables on that scumbag who tried to accuse me of molesting his kid. A star doesn't bow to any manager unless they risk losing everything~" She told him with a smile, "But hey~ Seems like you're the guy I should talk to when I need some info. I'll call you again later if I still haven't heard anything about the incident, okay?"
Command chuckled at her response, almost audibly shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh, your wit is as intact as ever, Encore. That's what I like about you. Well, that and your...well, you know. Don't we all appreciate some things about you? Be on the lookout for an email in the next ten minutes. I'll include some info on the criminal I mentioned as well. I know from personal experience that she isn't to be trusted, and I believe she's in your town. I'll keep you updated so we can settle both of our problems as quickly as possible. Talk soon."
"Thanks boo, me and my opening acts appreciate it. I'll check my email asap. Talk later!"
The call ended, Command returning the receiver to its proper location as he flashed the secretary a slight smile, nodding a silent goodbye to her. The woman watched as he turned and walked away, looking like she really wanted to say something but was too awe struck to do so. After only a minute or so, Command returned to his car, sitting in the back before the driver began to pull out of the parking space.
"Take me home. I have some work to do."
The man at the wheel nodded a silent affirmation. Command opened up a laptop computer beside him, pulling it on top of his lap. His fingers danced over the keys and scrolled over the pad, pulling up a list of names and information. He sent the email detailing information on the missing prisoners as well as the faculty and finally criminal he was warning her about. His eyes remained fixed on his screen, a folder that was deeply hidden on the harddrive of his computer. Slowly, he clicked the folder, opening it up to reveal several still images and a live feed from several cameras. In the frame of each of them was a large room, with a mirrored floor, walls, and ceiling. The cameras were clearly on the outside, indicating that each of the mirrors were two-way, allowing them to be seen into, but not through the other way. The still images showed a young woman in the room. Some of them, she is sitting still, visibly weeping. Others she is screaming at her reflection, or even directly at one of the cameras. Her body was badly scarred, and her hair was white as snow. The date was a week before on the last picture, and it was one where she was looking at the camera with fire in her eyes, a sort of blood lust he had never seen before.
Command's fist clenched as he moved over to the life feed or the room, now empty, with one of the mirrored walls broken.
"I will not surrender my masterpiece."
Yoshiyuki, Aichi
Aichi was looking over the packet and struggling with the decision as to whether or not he wanted to go ahead and get changed now or wait until later. It wasn't like he had any reason to be super shy about it, yet, it was kinda weird to be disrobing around girls. In the middle of debating, he noted that one of his fellow students had gone off on a stealth mission to gather intel. Okay, so she was just snooping, but, he liked the idea of making it sound more interesting. Reese, the petite yet cute girl who had a voice like a sonic cannon was listening at the door. He couldn't help but wonder if she was overhearing anything juicy. Aichi moved over to her, leaning against the door while crouching low. His shoulder inadvertently pressed up against Reese's thigh, almost to her butt. While this wasn't on purpose, sometimes the absent mind just makes poor decisions.
"Hey...whatcha listenin' for?" Aichi asked the girl, a curious expression crossing his face as he spoke just above a whisper.
Nakamura, Sumire
Sumire glanced over the packet, flipping through each of the pages. Her face paled a little bit seeing that every page contained some kind of information different from the last paper. Not only that, but the pages were back-to-back. The only things left untouched regarding all the sheets were the margins.
She really didn't want to read all of this information… Why couldn't she have been born with a speed reader's quirk?
She would have summoned all of her clones and split the pages among them, but that meant letting Red out to play… She'd rather read all the pages on her own; especially after what happened today because of her.
Sumire looked over to her classmates and noticed that a group of them had gone to the door to eavesdrop.
"Um, guys? You shouldn't do that… You could get in trouble." She spoke up, but it seemed like no one was listening. Sumire sighed and opened to the first page to get started. It seemed like the school day was just gonna consist of them reading this massive packet.
Sakura, Umeko (Pro Hero: Encore)
She pressed the button and placed the phone back into her pocket. Though before she started walking back, she checked the student placements to make sure they were sitting at a table reading the packets. To her surprise though, three little rascals were next to what looked to be the door of the classroom.
Were they trying to eavesdrop?
Hmph! Well, she knew exactly what to do with eavesdroppers!
Encore started tip-toeing to the door, almost comically so as she slowly inched closer and closer. Once she arrived, she readied one of her hands and wound it back. Then, suddenly, she delivered an open hand slap to the base of the door to emit a sound into the classroom. It was really just to scare whoever was near it like the little bad boys and or girls they were.
Once that was done, she grabbed the doorknob and pushed open the door.
"Sorry about that~ Now, what page are all of you on now?"
The dark-haired girl watched as the last student showed off her powers. It was amusing, to say the least, and the first easy smile in a while slid onto Kozue's face. Once the moment had ended, she watched curiously as Encore attached a watch-looking bracelet onto each student's hand and explained what it did. It wasn't anything major for Kozue, as she often went days without activating her Quirk, and so she busied herself with adjusting the starband to rest comfortably on her wrist. Next, she was handed a package with her uniform in it along with a packet. Inspecting the packages, the dark-haired girl subconsciously followed the rest of the class back to their classroom. Setting the packet of papers down on her desk, Kozue quickly changed into the new uniform (in the bathroom, of course. She wasn't looking to make a scene!) before finding her seat at her desk.
Beginning to read the packet of papers, she looked up and watched silently as Reece crept up to the classroom door in order to eavesdrop on Encore, who had stepped out to make a phone call. Aichi joined her and it was then that Sumire spoke up about the pair listening in. Returning to her packet, Kozue flipped to the last page right as Encore reentered the classroom with a loud noise. Jumping slightly in her seat, Kozue's eyes flashed up to the pink-haired teacher before she softly set the papers on her desk.
"I'm finished. Is everything okay?" The raven-haired girl inquired, her head tilting to the left as her eyebrows pulled together in mild concern.
Reese was pretty good at hearing even quiet sounds normally, she herself wasn't even certain if it was related to her quirk, years of spying on her parents or something else entirely!
Still, she couldn't hear what was being said on the other end of the line and had to make do with just Encore's words, it... Didn't sound good to her at all.
That comment about a parking lot was bad enough, was the JRA in financial trouble or something? She felt a faint fear that the program would be shut down and they'd all be carted off to jail...
That fear was quickly blasted out of her mind by the possibility of another threat! There wasn't much she could glean, but it seemed serious and sounded like staff were involved? Adults really were stupid...
The conversation soon changed to something seemingly less serious and she finally acknowledged the touch on her thigh... Sure it was most likely accidental but she wasn't the most rational girl sometimes.
Reese drew in breath, clearly preparing to scream in Aichi's face... When she was taken off guard by the slap on the door, she let out the breath she had taken as a shocked expression came over her face and she let out a faint squeak, scampering back to her seat, honestly the girl looked positively shell shocked.
Fortunately it only took a minute to recover and pretend to read.
Kei was dozing off as he struggled with the thick read in front of him. He was sitting there head being propped up by his hand. He tried to read but all the words would blur and next thing he knew it was black, his eyelids closed. Just as he was about to fall asleep his elbow slid off the edge of the desk causing his head to hit the thick book infront of him. Surprised he quickly stood up and leaned forward, taking up the stance he had while riding his "hoverboard". He realized he wasnt moving then remembered where he was, "oh yeah, thats right im here still." He said slipping back in his seat.
He yawned and tried to get back to reading when he noticed his classmates sneaking around listening by the door. He laughed and sat up finding a reason to not doze off. He watched as they all listened in to Encores secret phone call. As he watched he was wondering what would happen if they got attacked here. He looked around and wondered how they would hold up against a group of villains. He shook his head figuring if anything happened the pros would handle it.
Takumi Souta
Staring forward, Bwuh as Takumi had renamed her did not reply to his comment, instead focusing on eavesdropping. Aichi was quick to join her at the door, though still Takumi remained in his seat. He hadn't bothered to try to read through the packet, instead groggily watching the scene unfold. Unsurprisingly, the door flew open and Reese stumbled back with a squeak before scurrying to her seat and pretending to read. Somehow he didn't think that would work, though his eyes widened slightly as he viewed the situation.
Encore entered the room, questioning how far they had made it through the packet. Takumi didn't want to speak up and say he looked at the cover and then laid down, though it was likely fairly obvious since he was still hunched over his desk with his chin resting on the surface. However, Kozue spoke up and certainly gained a reaction from him, stating she had finished.
"...Y-You fucking what?!" Takumi questioned, instantly straightening up. "We're actually supposed to read this shit?! It's like a brick!"
He found himself staring at her with a shocked expression at his face. Whether she had actually finished or just was lying and claiming to have read it, it was obvious the boy had bought it, hook, line, and sinker.
"I can't read that fast! This'll take a year! Can't I just run laps or something?"
