Lesander laughed loudly as the other kid started eating.
"Its good, right?!"
He worked on licking his ice cream so it didn't mealt everywhere.

Zile eyed Greg, then smirked.
"Your gonna have to use the yucky mouthwash for at least a minute tonight."
 
Louis was actually pouting-
He feared this funnel cake thing would make him neglect his next parfait.
"Parfait..." ;3;

"Whyyyy?" whined Greg.
He hated the yucky mouthwash...Even if it was good for his teeth...
 
Les frowned and nudged the cake a little closer.
"There aren't any parfaits here, you should try it since we won't get to come here often."
At least if they went back to the orphanage.
He liked these two guys though...he didn't wanna go back.

"Because, genius. It will clean all that nastiness off your teeth."
'vampire or not, your teeth will still rot if you don't take care of them.'
 
Greg pouted at Zile.
You sound like my mom...you know that, right?

Louis pouted at Les...
But took another bite of the funnel cake.
He gave him the 'are you happy now?' expression.
Reason- well, the funnel cake was tasty, true, but he wanted a parfait...because he loved parfaits.
 
Hmmm...the kid was still pouting.
"I'll be right back." Les said to the group as he got up and ran to the food stand closest to them.
After a few minutes of talking and some money exchange he came back and handed Louis something.
It was a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in chocolate with strawberries and blueberries mixed in.

Hopefully that works?

Zile smirked at Greg and stole a kiss while the kids weren't looking.
'You love me anyways' he thought tauntingly.
 
Oh, it works alright-
It wasn't a parfait, but Louis considered it to be half of one.
He even gave a happy soft squeal and hugged Lesander, saying thank you about twenty times.
Louis is now a happy camper who was lapping at this ice cream treat.

Greg smiled a bit at one the kiss and two the taunt.
Yes...And heaven forbid I ever stop loving you.
Yay, another happy camper!
 
Yay! Something finally made Louis happy!!
Now, they just needed to stock the fridge with parfaits or get him a maker for them and he would be gold.
Once the two were finished eating Zile offered to go play some games with them.
Because what was a fair without some of the those tricky games?
Too bad they didn't adjust them for vampires...

Lesander took a few swings at the knocking cans game over but they stayed strong.
Then Zile gave it a try and won first go.
He let Les pick out a toy as the operator stared at Z with bug eyes.
The young kid took a giant stuffed cheetah happily, cuddling the fluffy animal with a big grin.

"Greg, wanna give it a shot for Louis?"
 
I'm sure if they keep ice cream around and either fruit or jam or even chocolate syrup around too, he could figure it out.
Louis was a smart kid after all...
But games weren't his strong point at most times.
While Lesander and Zile were at that throwing game, he was at the easy fishing game.
Greg was watching over his shoulder.

Louis trailed the fishing line low...then snagged a big toy shark.
The operator checked it and pointed to the large prizes.
Louis happily picked a large turtle.
He liked turtles...they were his favorite animal.

Greg looked over at Les and Zile. "I don't think that'll be necessary." he said sheepishly.

(Actually tried one of those fishing games...won a medium prize turtle. :3)
 
Lesander ran over to Louis with wide eyes.
"Dude! Awesome!!"
He'd never seen anyone but adults win these types of games.
They always seemed to be rigged so that kids couldn't quite get anything.
(nice lol)

Zile laughed and patted Greg on the back.
"The kids got skill."
He looked back over at Lesander and winked.
"We picked the hardest game so its all good."
Les just smiled and nodded, pretending that his cheetah was nomming Louis's turtle.

Louis notice the pretend nomming and had his turtle 'snap' at the cheetah.
"Watch out, Les- Gamera is a snapping turtle."
Yes, Gamera-
As in the flying turtle from some Japanese movie.

Greg had to agree-
Kid had skills...that or mighty amount of luck.
Or even both if he had skills that just needed a touch of luck.
Either way, skillfully lucky.
"Hm...Now we should get prizes, Zile...Oh! How about that dolphin and the elephant?" He pointed to the elephant and dolphin at some other game.
 
Jesander had his cheetah jump back, then pounce.
Some high school kids, eh?
Well, they were having fun for the first time in awhile so might as well let them enjoy it.

"Heh, really?"
Greg wanted a giant stuffed animal?
He shrugged and stepped over to the game.
It was one of those basketball ones with the rim justttttt big enough for a ball to fit in IF you did a swish.
He grabbed one ball and paid the man, then took a shot.
Right through the net.
"Pick a prize, Greg."
 
Actually, Louis was a seventh grader.
So, Junior High and high school kids.
Gamera spun on his belly like a shell from Mario- mwuahaha!
First Gamera, then Mario? What is wrong with me...?
Then again, I did play Mario Smash Bros the other day...
And saw something about Gamera on the news yesterday...
Go figure.

Greg pointed at the elephant.
"Elephante!" :P
Now it was his turn to win something for Zile...
 
Lesander leaned over and bit the turtle's foot.
Yup, he's defending his poor stuffed cheetah!
He let go before the other could counter attack and got his new pet doll ready to pounce.

Zile grinned and was handed the huge elephant.
"I think it's bigger than you.
Well, at least a part of you."
Oh yes, he went there!
The guy who was running the game seemed a tad uncomfortable.
Oh well!
 
Louis squeaked and darted away with Gamera.
T^T Gamera was just spinning!
He didn't need to be bitten!

Greg lightly cuffed Zile on the head for that comment.
"Shuddup...You insult the Elephante and me..."
Too the next game!
Hey, ring toss! It comes with...
Well, not a dolphin but an iguana!
Easy win. "Zile, pick one."
 
Les went chasing after Louis growling loudly as the kid darted between the crowd.
He was having fun but also keeping an eye on his friend.
Don't wanna get lost in such a huge place.
Only problem?
They had no idea where Z and Greg were now...
Oops.

Zile smirked and watched as Greg easily won the ring toss.
He pointed at the iguana and then grabbed Greg's free hand.
Since they had the stuffed animals they couldn't really go on more big rides but they could still run around awhile and play more games.
But...where were the kids?
"Hey, Greg, did you see where Lesander and Louis ran off too?"
 
Louis darted all over the place-
He dashed through lines, around bathrooms, and even around some rides.
But eventually he came to a halt, gasping for air at the train tracks-
Yes, this fair has a little train going through it.
And it was about to start heading Louis' way.
Best get off the tracks, Louis.

Greg handed Zile the iguana before his hand had been grabbed.
Oh...where were the kids?
"I thought we left them by the fishing game over there...?"
He looked around- no kids in sight.
"Think they went off to the bathroom...?"
 
Les saw the training coming but it didn't seem like Louis did.
Heck, it was too noisy to hear a darn thing in this place.
He quickly started to run but his stuffed animal slowed him down a lot.
Reluctantly he let it drop to the ground as he bolted towards his friend.
Within a few seconds he had Louis in his arms along with the big turtle, whirling them off the tracks with him seconds before the train sped by.
The two fell onto the ground, the younger on top.
Lesander was panting heavily from the abrupt run but thank god he'd been in time.

Sitting up carefully he smiled at the other kid.
"You okay?"

When he turned to look for his cheetah to retrieve it was gone...
"My..."
*Bottom lip starts to quiver*
What? He might act older but that was the first cool thing he'd gotten in years...
Yeah, he was totally about to cry.

Zile sniffed the air and quickly tugged Greg towards the side of a ride.
It took a few minutes to get there from across the park but then he saw the two on the ground and quickly ran over.
"You guys okay? We lost you in the crowd."
He offered a hand up to whoever took it first.
 
Louis whimpered at the landing-
But was okay.
When he noticed that Lesander was about to cry, he looked in the direction he was looking in.
"...Gamera, stay with Les." he told his turtle, handing him to the older boy.
He was just getting up when Zile and Greg showed up.
He pointed into the direction where Cheetah was last seen.
"We lost Cheetah. I'm going to find- stay with Les and Gamera."

Rather bossy, eh?
Either way, he was running off again to go look for the cheetah toy.

Greg looked at Lesander.
"If he doesn't find it, we'll get you another cheetah-
Or a panda..."
Toy fanatic...
Perfect for the sugar lover, eh?

Louis was dashing back over after five minutes.
And...he had Cheetah!
"An adult saw you drop it and was keeping it by her until you came looking."
He handed Lesander his cheetah back. "He's a bit dusty, but still good." Good boy, Louis!
 
Les took the stuffed toy in confusion.
His eyes followed Louis until the other boy vanished into the crowd.
"H-hey! Wait a--"
Zile's words interrupted him as he stood to follow the other kid.
He pursed his lips at tht thought of another stuffed animal.
He wanted his Cheetah back...

As soon as he looked back over at the crowd Louis was there...with his Cheetah!!
Lesander had the other boy in a tight hug, even adding a smooch on the lips for a second before grabbing the giant plush and hugging it tightly.
"Thank youuuu!!"
There was a sneeze somewhere in there from the dust but who cares!

Zile grinned and shook his head.
"Alright boys. I think it's about time we headed back?"
They had been there for a few hours and they didn't have much time left.
The orphanage was very picky about taking kids out.
 
Louis squeaked at the sudden hug-
And smooch.
Well...
That was unexpected.
Wait...Go back?
Nooooo! Never! No want to go back! Noooo!

Greg sighed.
"Do we have to take them back?
They're having such a great time here..."
Puppy eyes to Zile.

Louis looked at Zile and gave him puppy eyes too.
"Just ten more minutes...?" he asked.
"Please?"
Turning on his cutie charm. Oh gawds...Too cute!
