Just give us a chance...

Lesander raised a brow at the kids words.
He sounded really rude but the boy wasn't going to argue.
He just gave the waitress a hesitant smile.
She took down the orders and brought them drinks a few moments later.
Les sipped on his slowly, trying not to feel awkward but he was sitting across from a pyro...a tad hard.
Good thing their food came fast, even though the other had ordered quite a bit.
The pancakes were perfect and Les quickly got lost in stuffing his face with them.
"Man I missed these."
He hadn't gone out in awhile after his other roommate got adopted.

This would be about the time Zile dragged Greg into the diner, getting seated right besides the kids at a normal table.
Z ordered an orange juice and then Greg got what he liked.
"So...do you wanna go over to the orphanage today?
I'm not saying we'll find a that fits us right away but...'
He shrugged and shifted slightly.
"I'm gonna miss Relic so having another kid to hang with would be cool."

Louis, despite being a psychopathic pyromaniac, was actually well behaved.
When given his drink, he offered the waitress a nice smile.
When food came along, a thank you and a tip-
Just ten dollars, but a tip nonetheless.
He seemed well mannered when it came to eating-
Almost like he thought he was expected to treat every meal with respect as he ate.
Or at least, respect to those around him.
Pausing after two thirds of his french toast was gone, he looked at Lesander.
"Then every time we're allowed outside for a day, we can come here and you can have some. Deal?"

Greg had ordered sweet tea, but he added like five packets of sugar to it.
Talk about a sweet tooth...He'd have a ball with Buddy from Elf if he ever met him...and if he wasn't just an actor.
"Hm...Sure, if you want to...
By the way, are we going for a girl or a boy? Or both?
I mean...the house is huge!
We could house about ten of the little guys...maybe more if they shared rooms..."

Lesander was a bit surprised by the offer but quickly smiled.
"That would be really cool."
He finished up his pancakes and then blinked over at the two guys a few feet away.
"Hmm? They are talking about going to the orphanage..."

Zile smiled and laughed a little.
"That's a bit too much to start with Greg.
We might have the rooms but we aren't entirely rich.
Considering how much we both make and then paying off the rest of the house I think we could manage two kids."
He leaned back, sipping at his drink before answering again.
"And I'd rather have boys.
Girl's...bleed. Randomly.
That could end badly."
He said that last part really quietly.

"Good point...
Plus they squeal like gerbils.
And I hate gerbils...but ferrets are cool..."
Random much, Greg?
"Anyways, the point is still good-
Boys are more easy to raise than girls who'll end up bleeding everywhere.
So two boys...and a ferret?"
He grinned hopefully.
"We can name it Zee-Gee Jr...?"
Ugh...If Greg was in charge of naming pets or even kids, he'd be the worst at making names...
Zee-Gee Jr...What the hell?

Louis glanced at the people who were talking about going to the orphanage.
"Well, I guess we'll miss their visit. Hurry with your breakfast-
I think the parfaits are almost here...or on their way."
Louis was a happy camper, as of now.

Zile chuckled and shook his head.
"Really? Of all the names?"
He leaned back and grinned.
"We are gonna have a rapper for a ferret?"
Yeah, ZeeGee sounded like a rappers name.
"Alright. So, I don't think I want a really young kid.
We might scar them if they are too young.
So um...high school ish?"
That was about Relic's age but he wanted maybe a year or two younger then the boy.

Les quickly finished up his breakfast and as the parfaits came he picked his up since it was in a plastic cup.
"Wanna walk and eat?
Let's get back for their visit, they seem nice."

"So maybe Junior High?
Thirteen years old or so?
Maybe an eighth grader or even a seventh grader?
And noooo... ZeeGee would not be a rapper...
He would be the Italian spy who thinks he is either a rapper or a gay guy."
Happy grin from Greg.
Oh gawds, I'd feel sorry for the ferret! XD
Ahem...Uh, moving on...

Louis looked at his parfait...
Then sighed.
"Fine, but if you end up making me trip and drop this, I get the rest of yours and the one for next week.
Your parfait privilege is on the line, Les!" Evil laugh here- jk~

Lesander smirked and nodded.
"Alright, I think I can manage that punishment but just in case I'll eat mine super fast."
He stuck his tongue out at the boy and then headed for the door.
Since they'd already paid and tipped they didn't have to wait around.
Les headed out the doors and started walking towards the orphanage two blocks back, going slow enough so that Louis could easily catch up.

Zile watched as the two boys ran off, an eyebrow raised.
"Hmmm, maybe.
And I think we'll hold off on the gay spy ferret for now.
We can get the kids a pet if they want, maybe a dog."
After a few moments he stood up and set some money on the table for the juices.
"Ready to go?"

Louis actually was walking ahead of Lesander.
He was quick when he had a snack of sort in his possession.
Parfaits were his favorite, so even more speed on that luck.
"Hurry up Lesander-
You're walking as slow as my gran when I still had one."

"Yeah, I'm ready...
But I must say one thing-
No dogs.
Bad enough I'm related to one...how about a cat?"
And so the conversation of pets shall continue as the two go wherever the next place is...
And Greg had taken his tea with him, as it was in a capped Styrofoam cup...
With a straw. :P

Les chuckled and caught up with Louis.
"Oh yeah? I'm pretty darn fast when I wanna be though."
He gave the kid a grin.
Man, the boy was so much easier to handle when he didn't have his fire.
Perhaps he was really calm at heart and just had a bad childhood.
They made it back to the orphanage within about fifteen minutes.
Ox eyed them with confusion but didn't say anything as the two boys sat down in the lobby.

Zile laughed and shrugged.
He suggested a pig or fox, though cat would be okay if he had too.
When they got to the orphanage he held open the door for Greg to go in, then joined him.

"You are most likely slower than you claim to be, Lesander."
But Louis shrugged the conversation away-
And nommed on his parfait.
Much to his dislike...
It was yogurt instead of ice cream.
Gross.

Greg was like the lost puppy right now-
Well, to Zile, I mean...
You know, maybe they won't need to get a pet-
Greg is taking care of that as it is, lol.
Especially with his happy expression that looked like he was wagging a tail that no one could see...
Odd, eh?

Maybe Zile just did a bit too much to said tail 'area' last night.
His bad?

They both walked up to the counter and Zile spoke with Ox for awhile before the man pointed to two kids behind him.
Which just happened to be Lesander and Louis.
Les grinned and nudged the other boy.
"He's pointing at us, be really good, okay?"

Zile turned and walked over to the kids, crouching down in front of them with a smile.
"Hello boys. My name's Zile...what are yours?"

Naughty Zile...
But I'm sure he can make up for it later on.

Louis wasn't good with talking to grown ups...
He basically hugged his knees and tried to hide in Lesander's shadow.
He'll leave the introductions to Les-
Right now...just going to pretend he wasn't there.

Greg was giving them a curious look-
Much like a parrot when it sees you holding food in you hand- or even whistle at it.

Lesander saw the boy trying to scoot behind him on the chair and grinned.
He extended his hand with a smile for Zile to shake.
"Hi, my name is Lesander and this is Louis, sorry he's a bit shy."

Z nodded and gave a small wave to Louis before giving his attention back to Les.
"...and are you boy's brothers?"

Les shook his head but quickly spoke.
"We are new roommates but good friends. I've been here for three years and Louis just came here yesterday."

Zile frowned and looked at the slightly smaller boy.
"I'm sorry about that hun."
Gerggg, come meet the kids!

And evil look from Louis-
He wishes not for sympathy!
So yeah...

If Zile and Greg adopt these two...well, things are going to end up being like a Lois and Stewie relationship with Louis and Zile.
And no, Louis wouldn't be Lois...he'd be Stewie.

Greg came over and waved hello to the kiddos.
"Hey, wassup? I'm Greg."

And evil look to Greg for the pathetic grammar.
Yeah, Louis is starting to turn back to unhappy camper...
Boy got some issues...very big issues...Like with his parfait!

Lesander turned and looked at Louis, frowning a bit.
"Don't you want a home? You want to stay here, locked up until your eighteen? Then shoved out on the streets with nothing??"
He whispered this quietly but Zile heard anyways.
The vampire grinned slightly but hid it well.

"If you guys want to go out we could take you somewhere?
It's a lot easier to talk when your not stuck in here I'd think."
Noo, dun hurt Z, he's nice!

Louis said nothing...
But he at least tried to look a bit nicer.
He failed rather quickly and epically.

Greg frowned a bit at the evil looks they were getting from the boy.
Zile, the 'shy' boy seems to not like us...
You sure if we should take him along...?
Just being cautious, him. Don't want to end up leading to someones pain and suffering just because they took a kid along.

Zile nodded but mentally shrugged.
'The other boy seems to like him so it can't hurt to bring him along.'
'It's not like we are paying for them right now. It's just a meet and greet.'
The vampire stood up calmly and offered Les a hand up, which the boy took with a smile, then turned to Louis.
"Louis, wanna come have fun?"

He hoped the boy would agree, he was trying his best to get him adopted too.
Since most people didn't want two kids at the same he was possibly losing his spot for Louis but if the kid opened up and they liked him more, so be it.

Turning to Greg the boy smiled and offered a hand.
"Hi, I'm Lesander and this is my new friend Louis. He's a bit shy but he's a good kid, I promise."

'You're the boss.'
Oh, gotta put on a kind smile.
"Nice to meet, Lesander-
Oh, lemme guess, they call you Alexander just to bug you?"
Greg had that happen to him when he was in school- except it was Meg because kids thought he was a girl with his once long hair. Chopped it when he was ten.

Louis didn't answer again, as he was keeping up with the shy boy tactic-
He kept a hold on Lesander's shirt, sticking behind him.

With luck, this will make it seem like he was really a shy boy and it'll get him adopted...
But that is a little hard to tell if he'll stay adopted if he's going to give evil looks.

Lesander grinned and nodded.
"Yeah, people do that all the time but I like my name the way it is."

Once they were outside he sighed, breathing in the warm air again.
They all piled into Zile's car and headed off to the most fun place the guy could think of...the amusement park.
To say that Lesander was excited was an understatement.
He even had Louis in his lap, hugging him and pointing.
"Dudddeeee!!!"

So much for giving them names...
Greg, they're not pets...so it wouldn't have worked anyways.

Louis almost yelped when the other said 'dude' rather long and loudly.
Mostly because it was right in his ear.
He looked at what he was pointing and didn't get it.
So it was an amusement park- so what?
It was just a place for accidents...wait...Oh gawds, was that a water ride he saw? MUST RIDE.
