Now I just feel like I need to start rps just to spite owlmom and show her how boring I can be.

Hopefully this isn't me barging in, and I want to make it clear that I'm just some dumm-dumm on the internet. (Also I should be focusing right now, and might not nail what I'm trying to say, ahaha...) But...

I used to figure I was quite boring, myself. Sometimes, I still think that way.
But I've got friends who are thankful to have someone pretty laid-back and stable in their lives, and friends that tell me - whether or not I believe them - that I'm fascinating. And I think that we can only see ourselves as we see ourselves; others see us in entirely different ways.

No matter how you are, I figure your writings are worthy of being read, and worthy of being shared. Not to pressure you - just as something to remind you, and maybe me, too. Now I seriously have to duck out again, aha, so it goes...

When I say boring I mean like....I just wanna write fluff about people adventuring and falling in live with short posts. Like I have no ideas just general universes. I'm a fairly interesting person probably. Also I love to do things outta spite. Gives me fuel to kick me in the butt to do things.

Kind of depends on if you collapse the right bar, how large the monitor is, and how much space you actually want. Worse case you could do what I did one time, and drag part of the screen your not using into another monitor (or into nothing if you only have one monitor, that works also) so the actual typing area fills your actual main screen.

Haha I really appriciate the encouragement! I assure you most of that is from my own head, brought about from reading partner recruitments and how much of a waste if time people find reply less than 2 paragraphs. More power to them, but I don't have time for that, I have a baby to care for.

I really appreciate the love to one-liners! I don't often see people actively encourage it, even if you don't enjoy it yourself. This kind of made me feel like I could ask others to RP with me.

I mostly RP with just one person at the moment, though she has the problem with loosing the RPs when they are on forums too.

I myself am going to work really hard to try and do Group rps this year! 2023 will be the year of Diana returning as GAME MASTER OWL. Ò◇Ó

I wish I had the braincells (or lack thereof) - plus an RP partner with the same level of insanity and dedication - to write a disgustingly eye-gouging, cringe-level worthy satire of smut RP that would put that My Immortal fanfic to shame. But that is too powerful a skill and only a genius or a madman (or both) could pull that off.

You know, you are absolutely right. I feel a little bad for being pretty put off by one-liners myself, but... honestly? It's true, you're right! As long as it moves the scene forward and you're having fun writing them, it doesn't matter how many lines of text you give out!
Roleplaying is for fun, right? It's not a contest to see who's the best writer and who can use the fanciest words to describe how your character ties their shoes.

That is why I like both Chat Style roleplay AND Forum Style roleplay! Ò◇Ó

In chat style, it's "in live time" so you NEED to keep posts to 5 sentences or less to keep things moving quickly so you can finish a scene before everyone has to leave! O: It's usually very dialogue centric and quick actions! And because it's quick pace, you get to experience INSTANT GRATIFICATION about telling your stories.

And then I love forum roleplay where I can expand descriptions and add extra details and depth to both characters as well as scenes. The stuff you dont get a chance to do in the quick paced rps. All that depth and nuance of inner thoughts, neat little sneaky plot things you slip in there, that all come together for a rich tapestry of plot bunny goodness.

Ahem. For the most part I've been writing in forums lately, I haven't got a single PM rp going right now, so you needn't be upset with me! That said, I've also not written anything that I couldn't live down posting in the threads for some time now, in fact I've probably gotten rusty.
