Marcus kept following the man and got quite surprised when the newborn stopped and took up his phone. Who were he calling at this hour? Marcus were too far away to be able to hear what they were saying even with his vampire hearing. And he didn't want to get closer since the newborn probably would notice him if he did.
The newborn vampire kept standing at the same place for a while as if he waited for someone, could he have called the police? Normal people would be asleep at that hour.
Soon there came a car and picked him up, obviously not the police. He was faster than a human but faster than a car? That depended on how fast they were going to drive. He decided to climb up on a roof and follow the car by jumping from house to house, then he wouldn't have to run after it and could take shortcuts. He couldn't loose the newborn, if he did and the guy started to go berserk, then if the council got to know about it both of them would probably be killed. Maybe letting him go was a mistake. He kept following the car while he texted Aliced.
'He went into a car, am following it. Send some people to look around in the area in case things goes out of hand.'
He knew that Alcide wouldn't say no, so when he felt the phone vibrating when he got the reply he didn't care to look at it. He were busy holding his eyes on the car. If vampires patrolled the streets then even if the newborn started to go berserk they would be able to stop him. Just in case he would loose the boy himself.
