"Let's go see the temples," she responded, wanting to know where it was that Zar'Le and the other Lizardkin worshiped. Nymph worship was monotheological, surrounding a unnamed god of wilderness. Their religion wasn't ceremonial, and every family would worship in their own way. Evelyn's father had been taught that the god of wilderness didn't want their prayers, only that they thought of and believed in him, something many other Nymphs didn't understand. However, he had also been taught that there was never any one true religion, and Evelyn had understood that she could find a religion she believed in, whatever it may be. Still, she was open to accepting any religion that those around her were.

"The temples it is!" Zar'Le replied, before turning his head upwards and whistling loudly. A squee could be heard from above them, and a spider came crawling downwards. He turned back to Evelyn, giving her hand a squeeze. "I know you said you didn't want to learn to ride yet, but Xana can carry us both. All you have to do, is to hold onto me. Something you've seemed good at so far." He smiled at her, before turning towards the spider that was now stepping down onto the same floor they stood on. With a graceful step, he sat on the back of the spider's large back-part. He held out a hand to Evenly and patted the spot behind him, giving her an encouraging smile. "We won't be going up or down the trees. Just along the paths. We ride just so you can watch without having to fear stepping off an edge or something equally awful."

Evelyn nodded thankfully, sitting down on the spider behind him. Her hands finding their way around him, she held onto him tightly, not wanting to fall. "I...I'm ready," she said after she was pretty certain that she wouldn't fall off. Burying her face in his shoulder, she held her breath, waiting for the spider to begin moving. Once it did, she let out a shaky breath, and gradually worked on opening her eyes once more, not removing her hands from him.

Zar'Le leans his head on hers for a moment, whispering reassuringly. "We'll take it slow, and I'll make sure no harm comes to you Evelyn, my love." He lifted his head from hers again, but not before placing a soft kiss on her cheek. He took hold of the reins and made sure Xana didn't get her speed up too much.
They left the mansion behind and passed a great many smaller huts and houses, most of which seemed to be made in the same style as the one they had just left. The walkways were also crowded of Lizardkin going about their daily business. It didn't take more than a few minutes, until they were crossing a bridge towards another large tree, with four branches. Each branch supporting large, wooden structures. They were quite a lot like the other buildings, except they were far larger, all the cloth covering them were in one color. Some of the cloths were covering wooden walls, to further color the buildings. Some of the cloths also had the same symbols that were on the table back home, each temple having one symbol.
Zar'Le pointed towards the temple in turn, explaining as he did. "The red temple is the temple of Khorne, god of war and honor. The green one is the temple of Nurgle, god of growth and decay. The blue one is the temple of Tzeench, god of wisdom and hope. And finally, the purple one is the temple of Slaneesh, the goddess of love and desire." He waited for a moment, letting her absorb it. "Do you want to go into one of them?"

Her heart eventually ceasing to feel like it was going to break out of her chest, Evelyn slowly lifted her head from Zar'Le's shoulder. When her fear mostly left her, her breath was taken away as she took in the sight of the town. "Zar'Le," she whispered, awe-struck, "it's so beautiful." Looking around at the vibrantly-colored cloths on the walls of some of the buildings, all of them much larger than any the Nymphs had ever built. When he asked if she would like to go inside one, she nodded enthusiastically. "I want to go inside that one," she tells him, pointing to the building with the blue cloths on it.

"The wise lady wished to visit the temple of the wise god?" He asked, as he set Xana in motion again, this time towards the blue temple. As they stopped in front of the great doorway, Zar'Le helped Evelyn of the spider, before it skittered off to not block the way. He gently held her hand in his, and led her inside.
The large main room of the temple was a open space, with bookcases filled with books spread all around. Some places, there were tables and chairs, with lizardkin sitting around, some reading books, some writing and others yet simply discussing. In the middle of the room, there was a large statue, seemingly made of blue stone. It was of a male lizardkin, standing in a dignified way, dressed in robes and holding a book under his one hand, with it's head was encased in a blue flame.
"If you have any questions, this is as good time as ever to ask." Zar'Le said in a low voice.

Looking up and around in wonder, Evelyn marveled at the building's architecture, a smile upon her face. She had never seen so many books in her life, only the few that her father owned, and none of them had ever held any interest with her. Her gaze falling upon the statue, she listened to Zar'Le, only shaking her head in response. She didn't have time for questions, her mind preoccupied with the wonderful building.

Zar'Le put his hand around her waist, leaned over to her and kissed her cheek gently. "The statue is meant to look like Tzeench, or at least, that's how most who has been visited by him have described him. Here we share knowledge and wisdom among each other. Both by word of mouth, and by written texts. And, of course, knowledge is free, as Tzeench wants." He continued to explain.

Evelyn nodded, smiling up at him. Evelyn had never seen anything as grand as this building, and found it stunning. "It's amazing," she tells him, turning to wrap her arms around him. Leaning up to kiss him softly, she pulls away, before continuing to look around the temple.

Zar'Le chuckles at the look on her face, still holding onto her hand. Some of the people around gave them a look in passing, though very few actually stared at the odd pairing. "As you probably have noticed, this place is a gathering of knowledge, and from knowledge, many people get hope. The other temples reflect their god in the same ways. Though, this is the most silent of the temples. There is the murmur of talking at most times, yes. But the others got other sounds in its place, most of which are quite a bit louder."

She nods, still smiling. Most Nymphs didn't go to a proper school until they were at least in college age. Even then, they only went to schools if they left their home for the bigger cities, where people of all kinds gathered, and not just Nymphs. Evelyn had wanted to go to a northern city, where she could learn more about the world, but that was before her mother had told her about the marriage. After that announcement, she hadn't thought about it much since, and now thought that she would be perfectly content with staying with Zar'Le. After a few more minutes of Evelyn looking around the temple, she turned to him, and said, "I want to see the other temples."

Zar'Le smiled at her and gave her hand a squeeze. "Which one next? Khorne, Slaneesh or Nurgle? War, love or life?" In a way, he hoped she'd answer love, for rather obvious reasons, yet at the same time, his shy side hoped she wouldn't. Things could get rather... heated in there, after all.

"Sla...Slaneesh?" she said slowly, wondering if she was pronouncing it correctly. "That was the building with the purple cloths on it, right?" Leaving the temple, she is once again stunned by the wondrous sight of the other temples. It instantly renews the smile upon her face, making her eyes light up.

"Close, but a bit more s at the end. And yes, it as the one with the purple cloths." He said, putting his arm around her waist again as they started walking. It wasn't a long walk, by any means, yet the size of the temples made "just around the corner" seem long.
As they got to the entrance of the temple of Slaneesh, it for a moment seemed very much like that of Tzeench, only in a different color. And it lasted only for a moment.
In the front of the temple, towards the entrance, there were music being played, lizardkin dancing, food being enjoyed, and in a corner, some were smoking something or another. Compared to the last temple, this one was filled of life and sounds of joy. Some sounds rather different than others.
In the back of the temple, there were heavy curtains, creating what could be considered many small rooms, with the occasional moan and gasp coming from them. If they had come here but a few hours later, or a few hours earlier, for that matter, it would have been far more noise coming from the back.
And as in the other temple, there was a large statue in the center of the room. This one seemed to be made of purple stone, most likely enchanted somehow, and was of a very well curved woman. Most men would say it was the perfect body, and quite a lot of women agreed as well. It was made to have a very skimpy outfit, focusing on the curves of the woman even more, yet at the same time, it hid just enough. Compared to the dignified look of the last statue, this one looked playful, almost as if it at any moment would step down from its pedestal and join in on what was going on around it.

Again, Zar'Le kissed Evelyn's cheek a bit after they had entered, allowing her to take it in a bit, and asked "The temple of Slaneesh, goddess of love and desire. What do you think?"

Evelyn took in all of the temple, amazed by it. Romantic relations between Nymphs was extremely private, and couples only told others about their status after the man had already asked for the woman's hand in marriage. Never before had she seen--or heard--people expressing love so openly. Gazing up at the statue, she answered Zar'Le's question. "It's very beautiful. So is she," she said, gesturing towards the statue.

"That she is." Zar'Le admitted openly. "But she is the goddess of love and desire for all of my kin." He pulled her towards him, leaving their faces only inches apart, as he stared into her eyes. "But I've got a goddess of love and desire of my very own, right here." He said, smiling at her for a moment, before he kissed her deeply and passionately, even going as far as to slip his tongue into her mouth for a few moments, before he broke the kiss. "And my goddess is the most beautiful of the two."

Evelyn was saddened when Zar'Le broke the kiss, missing the contact already. Blushing from both it and the compliment, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into her own kiss. Her eyes falling shut, she held him for as long as she could before breathlessly whispering, "I love you," and kissing him again.

The kiss after Evelyn's declaration was both too long, and at the same time not long enough. He wanted to break it almost before it had started, to tell her his feelings, yet he didn't want to be separated from her again either. He had little choice when they had to take another breath though. He used his chance and tried to say it loudly, yet all that came from his mouth was a whisper. "I love you too." A moment and another breath, and he once more connected their lips. The feeling of actually kissing her in the temple of Slaneesh somehow made it even better, just like the fact that they didn't try to hide it, but rather showed of their love to whoever cared to look at them.

Evelyn parted her lips for him, inviting his tongue to explore her mouth again. Touching her tongue with his, she deepened the kiss, her hands traveling around his neck to hold him close to her. Her thin fingers gently rubbing the base of it, she felt tingles of excitement run through her, from being able to kiss him without worrying about his family walking in on them. With Slaneesh watching over the two, she didn't break the kiss for as long as she could, loving the feeling of being so close to him in such a public place.

Zar'Le accepted Evelyn's invitation into her mouth as soon as he noticed it, as used his tongue to explore this cave that was getting more and more familiar to him. As their tongues hit, he stopped his exploration and started battling her tongue with his own. He tightened his hold of her, adding his tail around her legs, almost as if he was afraid she'd run away if he did't. For a moment, his mind focused on the place they were, and realized they were making a sacrifice to Slaneesh, in a way. Almost before he was done thinking the though, it slipped his mind again, and his focus returned to their mouths.
