Name: Drake Silver (Secondary character if I get a chance to use him)

Age: 17

Super High School: Rocker, though specializes in being a guitarist

Backstory: Son of a downtown stripper and an unidentified father, the most Drake knows of familial compassion is through his twin sister, Brooke. The siblings were used to being left alone in their small, shoddy apartment for nights on end, sometimes put in the care of one of their mother's friends who would lounge around smoking and watching TV more often than minding the two. This undoubtedly caused a dwindling respect for adults, and much restlessness in turn. Their boredom often took form in the two sneaking out and running around the neighborhood, even if it wasn't entirely safe to do so. They always had each other's backs, and although they'd fight often, they stuck together through thick and thin, whether at school, at home or on the street.

The twins had realized an early love for music by listening to buskers play the guitar. Appreciation turned quickly into analysis, and one busker, surprised by their vigilance as they watched him play throughout the entirety of his performance, even allowed the two a strum of his guitar. This was enough to snare them, and Drake insisted they buy their own guitar at the instrument store in the area. After scrounging up money for an extended period of time from various sources (including their mother's purse those uncommon moments she was home, and from performing petty jobs/thefts here and there), they managed to purchase a second-hand guitar. Putting what they had seen to use, and sometimes getting tips from other buskers, they gradually began to develop their skills. By their mid-teens they began to busk themselves; Drake, being the better guitarist, would play and Brooke would sing to complement him. Received well by passing crowds, they eventually managed to buy a bass for Brooke (who found greater delight in this than in the guitar) and played together around all parts of town, entertained by their newfound talents and more productive than ever. Their reliance on their mother dwindled in the face of their self-sufficiency, the two growing more confident by the day.

It was one day spent performing in the subway, in which they had garnered a large crowd, that a man, a music producer rather, approached them and complimented them well on their performance. He offered them the opportunity to develop their talents, to broadcast their music and to be revered, and sure enough they accepted. The aftermath of a successful audition resulted in the two leaving behind their down-town life, to their mother's indifference more or less, and joining the music industry. The experiences that have formed the basis to their fame are a mixture of both good and bad, and they have learned and journeyed much since, but in having formed their own rock band, earned themselves an extremely competent manager, garnered hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world, and achieved invitations to Hope's Peak Academy, it'd be difficult to say either twin has regretted their choices and are unquestionably proud of what they have become.

Item taken with you: Personal guitar named Penance that he almost always has with him. It has several signatures of other famous musicians he greatly respects. The guitar is priceless. He also has a small container with him that he always filled with Skittles so he has some whenever needed.

Name : Dirk Steela (Often called Dirt)

Age : 16

SHSL : Miner

Backstory : Around the age of 5, Dirk was playing in a small sandbox at his grandparents had set up for him. His grandfather had been a miner at the time, and owned a small mine near their house. Dirk heard a sound while digging in the sand one day, and went to find that the mine had collapsed. Alone, at five years old armed only with an old garden spade, he dug through the collapse, freeing the mining team and his grandfather, before any other rescue team could get involved.
Is small, but surprisingly strong, due to experience working with rock. He knows his way around more than a few explosives used in caves, and due to all his time underground, is a little awkward around others, and isn't the smartest, either. He tries to be kind, but sometimes is just a bit dull.
Always seems to be covered in dirt.

Name: Rin Kanou
Age: 17
Super High School: (Mad) Scientist

Backstory:
For the most part, Rin had a pretty boring life in a happy family, with really nothing interesting going on. As such, let's just skip past that until something interesting does happen, shall we?

Rin's father was a scientist himself too, focusing on the field of chemisty. Although for the most part he was a very careful man, he was still only human, and one day he made a grave error; he took his son along to work. Why is this an error, you say? At that point in his life, Rin had no interest in science yet and spended most of the day being bored as all hell. Well, until all hell broke loose, that is. As it turns out, flashing lights and blaring sirens are pretty interesting to a kid, which is why Rin went deeper down into the laboratory instead of getting AWOL like a sane person. This in turn lead to his father also having to go down after him, and neither of them being out of the way when a failsaife failed, leating to a catastrophic and sudden release of energy (AKA: an explosion) happened.
The explosion crippled Rin's father and injured Rin himself. Most of the injuries were pretty minor, but his left hand couldn't be saved. Luckily, modern technology seems to know no limits, and Rin ended up with a primite cybernetic hand. Sure, it was very clunky, especially compared with a real hand, but at least it was better than a piece of plastic. Of course, one can imagine the shock when one wakes up with a hunk of metal for a left hand. ...Actually, one probably cannot. It's pretty unimaginable, one can imagine.
Fair or not, Rin blamed himself for this incident, feeling that if only he had known more about science, he might have been able to save everyone. And so started Rin's obsession with science in general and robotics and cybernetics in particular -- he figured that maybe he was unable to save his father, but at least he would be able to fix some of the results.

The only problem was, those injuries mentioned before? Those also included some damage to Rin's prefrontal cortex. As a result, he has far less control over his impulses, and tends to do whatever he deems interesting. This, coupled with his reawakened obsession for science, lead to him doing a ton of experiments that no sane man would do out of fear of losing life and limb -- and succeeding with them without getting injured, leading to some massive scientific breakthroughs. One of said breakthroughs involved prosthetic cybernetics. Whereas before even the most advanced cybernetic hand was still pretty stiff and rigid, his creation was almost as smooth as a real human hand. Of course, the only way to test this out was to graft it onto someone's hand. Due to a very annoying lack of volunteers, he ended up having to put it onto himself, with the help of a robot he had made earlier (after all, it's a bit hard to put a cybernetic hand onto yourself while still awake. Manipulating nerves tends to cause twitching and whatnot).
Either way, so in a way he did lose a limb, albeit one that was prosthetic anyway. Besides, he got it replaced instantly, and the old thing was a piece of junk that was getting too small for him anyway, so eh. Who cares about insignificant details.like that when there's SCIENCE to advance, right? Ahahahahahah!

It was at this point that Rin drew the attention of Hope's Peak Academy. For one, his experiments, as dangerous and insane as they were, still were proof of great talent, considering a normal teenager would have long since gotten himself or others killed. Second, if they didn't do anything, chances were real that either he would get himself or others killed some way or another, probably by virtue of another giant explosion, or that others would abuse his talent and lack of inhibition for their own profits. Figuring that the best way to keep everyone safe was to get Rin under their supervision, HPA did exactly that.

Welcome to my Killing Game
Hello my soon to be blackened! I've noticed a stressing lack of Danganronpa roleplays here on Iwaku, at least any that are actually having anything done in them. However, I have stepped forward in hopes of starting this fine event.
Knowledge of Danganronpa isn't needed but here's a plot summary for those who haven't even heard of the series.
Now yes i have actually done one of these Danganronpa rps before and this time ill be including Monomi who will be played by @Dualnte and will be my Co-GM as he played in the last game he will know enough about the game to answer questions. Also last time me being new to the whole GMing thing i wasn't sure i could trust people to have more than one character in fear of one of them becoming the killer and the next character automatically knowing, however, after some experience if we're having trouble with having 16 students i may allow some to have a second character
Before we Begin
For those who don't know, Danganronpa is an anime/series of games where high schoolers who are the best in a certain skill, an example is Super High School Detective, are placed in an environment be a psychotic bear who tells them that the only way to escape is to kill each other. This particular role play will have the same environment of the second game, an island where the SHS(Super High School) students will be taking a vacation with the seemingly trustworthy Monomi. Note plots won't be the same most likely as i didn't use Junko in the last roleplay so yeah.
The rules are simple, you will kill someone, once the body is discovered there will be a time limit to search for evidence and then a class trial will begin. The point of the class trial is too discover the killer who will then be executed. However, if the killer isn't discovered the rest of the students will die. Note: associates will not be executed only the person who actually killed the victim will be executed. Oh and also normal Iwaku rules obviously.

How Murder Will Happen
Here's how the role play will go, I will assign a killer privately, or someone will privately ask me to become the killer before I have to make a decision, the killer will then tell me who they will kill in an in-depth analysis of how they killed their victim, what's needed is time of murder, weapon used, what room they were killed in, and where the fatal wound was, any other details you may need to include can be said, the less the more I will make up for you. I will then post in the IC chat the murder and include details which may be turned into evidence. Once your dead you can't come back, you're done, no retries, no continues, you're done.

The IC will be made once I have at least 16 students, I will of course not be a student since I know what is going to happen

I would prefer everyone in this role play have Discord as it can work as an easy way for us to communicate and discuss things going on in the role play and any questions that may come up.

Now that everything is explained, here's the leader of this killing game:

Not for the faint of heart
I didn't think i'd need to include this message but your characters will be dying, not to your own choosing either, so if for some reason you signed up for this and are not ok with the butchering of your character then you should probably leave. I've already had to deal with this once, don't need a repeat of the situation

I'm new to this site so I'm just getting the hang of it, but I've decided to join this rp as my first on this site.

Name: Salvatore Quattrocchi Corvi
Age:18
Super High School: Buisnessman

Backstory: Bio: Born to a wealthy Italian bloodline, Salvatore was the son of a great businessman who made some bad decisions. This caused the family great disgrace, and changed Sal's lifestyle. His family had fallen quite considerably, and it was much more difficult to make it through the day. They still owned several buisnesses, although under his father's control they were all failing. He was eventually forced to attend schools filled with people who were clearly the future of the criminal world. But he used his silver tongue and sly ways, and managed to run his school from the shadows.

It wasn't long after this, that Sal decided to take part in the family business. Amazingly enough, it seemed that Sal had picked up the family's natural talent for business. He brought honor and glory back to their family at the age of 14. With his father taking over the business once more, Sal returned to studying to perfect his buisness skills. With some of the best tutors and sheer hard work, he managed to have excelled enough to take over for his father, who had fallen deathly ill by the time he turned 16. Now under his control, the Corvi family company has become one of largest and most successful organizations in the world.

Item taken with you: A black suitcase containing confidential files, world domination plots, and smutty fanfiction.
