The World
The majority of this world is covered in water excepting the one large landmass that the races call home. Much of it is explored, but unsettled, and many old ruins and other 'adventure spots' dot the land. Monsters roam the lands, and often come into conflict with the races. If it hadn't been for the crystals that fell from the skies in the early days, the races would have been wiped out long ago.
The Crystals
In the beginning, two crystals were formed from the base matter of the universe. The crystals of chaos and order represented a balance when they fell to the land. Chaos in the western deserts, and order in the lush east. Since then, there has been one hero graced with the power of order, and one with the power of chaos during times of calamity - of which there have been many. However, this is not the only power of the crystals. The energy of chaos permeates the air, and at times creatures become empowered with it - creating Kishin. The energy of Order is less unpredictable, and infuses the races to power their magic and technology.
Kishin is the name given to creatures that are imbued with the power of chaos. They are larger and more powerful, and often have strange abilities. When they are killed, the chaos energy manifests into a physical object known as a Kishin egg. If another creature eats the egg, it becomes a Kishin itself. And if a Kishin eats another egg, it becomes even more powerful. Kishin represent a significant threat to the Races, and thus they often set larger bounties on such creatures. There is one way to destroy a Kishin Egg, and that is to cleave it with a weapon. When done so, the energy dissipates and some absorbs into the weapon that did the deed, giving it greater abilities.
However, since the new emperor took the throne, rumors of kidnappings and experiments with Kishin Eggs have started to circulate out of Zann...
The Lands
In the many centuries since the beginning, the races have created three civilizations.The Zann Imperium in the west was created by the first hero of Chaos, to protect the crystal from the monsters and from hands that would misuse it. The Kingdom of Sanctuary in the East, by the first hero of Order for a similar reason. And Cornelia, a large city-state that takes up the center of the land, a natural barrier between Zann and Sanctuary. Founded by the White-Gold Dragon bloodline of Order and the Onyx Wyvern Bloodline of Chaos, it is a land of harmony and is said to have been created due to a vision granted the founding heroes.
In the past few years, Zann has become more aggressive, expanding and accelerating their military buildup. In response, so has Sanctuary. This, of course, means that Cornelia had to do the same. Tensions between Zann and Sanctuary are high, and Cornelia worries the prophecy is coming to pass.
The Races
All civilized races on Tretigon are humanoid, though not all are humans. Though they have their own culture, they also have all integrated together into the lands and the cities inside.

Felindae - Features of Felines
Avions - Long, feather-like hair and feathered wings that allow for short flights
Aqeous - Blue-skinned with headfins and forked tails
Magic and Technology
Magic, Magitech, and Technology are the three sides of the triangle that society is built upon. Magic is something that is granted to those bloodlines blessed by the crystals, who are so known by a Mineral and animal - such as White-Gold Dragon and Jade Wolf. Over the years, many children have been born of the blood, so near anyone can be born with the ability to cast magic - but those with a direct line are often more powerful.
Magitech is technology created that mimics magic effects, and is used both by those who can't cast magic, and just in everyday life to make it just a little bit easier. Some examples are imbuing a sword with the ability to burst into flames, or a small device that can lessen ones speed in the air so a deadly fall becomes a simple landing.
Technology has advanced far. Airships are outfitted for battle, and weapons are usually augmented with magitech for a multitude of reasons. Almost every weapon has the ability to mechanically transform between a melee form and a ranged form, while others are simple magitech combinations such as shotgun-gauntlets. The most common ground transportation are bird-like creatures called chocobos.

Why are you in Cornelia: Lives and Trains in Cornelia with his family
Personality: Kind, Gentle, Loyal, and Passionate. He tries to make friends, and is supremely loyal to those he has. Should someone slight them, he will come to their defense without hesitation. He is also somewhat awkward, especially should someone flirt with him.
History: Alren was born to the bloodline of Jade Wolf, but without the ability to use magic. Far from a disappointment, his parents raised him well and his clan treated him as an equal. Though he is young, he showed great promise in the art of skirmishing, often outspeeding bullies and with acrobatic prowess to take unorthodox routes through Cornelia. One his fifteenth birthday he was tasked with crafting his own weapon, and though what he made was small, it holds power and Arlen is very skilled with it. He has never been in real battle yet, but he longs for the day that he can get out of the city and adventure, build relationships, and see the world before settling down with a female he finds himself to love.
