Griffin wasn't looking forward to going home. He had planned to never return to his hometown. It was the last place he wanted to be be. But he had been injured in battle and the doctors weren't sure if he would ever have full use of his leg. He accepted medical discharge as much as he hated it. He had planned to go to Chicago or some place and open or work at a motorcycle repair shop. But before he could decide where to start his life over he got a message saying that his father had died so he had to go home.
When his plane landed he was suppose to go to the lawyer. But he needed a drink before he fast his past. Since his pain reliever couldn't be mixed with alcohol, not that he was a drinker, he decided to go the coffee shop. Living in a small town meant that there was only one shop. A unique place named the Roasted Bean. He headed there hoping the caffeine would help him through the next couple of hours. Leaning heavily on his cane he made his way into the shop.
